okay so this is my “hey if james workshop came down form on high and was like YOU. RANDOM LESBIAN. GIVE ME THE ORIGINS OF FSM!” This is how i’d do it take. Cawl works around guilliman’s orders to avoid using traitor geneseed by creating chimera geneseed of loyalist/traitor combo. Guilliman then found out and got a bit pissed however: there are six five year old girls who kinda look like the brothers he misses so greatly. Sidenote i do need to draw guilliman in a “i’m not the stepdad im the dad who stepped up” shirt. They are primaris, if only because i couldn’t see a reason why cawl wouldnt make them primaris, and were raised in a variety of places such as cawl’s forge and labs, terra, various ultramarine vessels and at least one fortress monastery.

ANYWAY. Sargent Sister. Tank Sister. Knight Sister. Psyker Sister. Silent Sister. Radiant Sister. These are sort of… informal nicknames used between the squad and get shortened down even further to sarge, tan, ny, psy, sil and ray. They do have proper fancy space marine names but i haven’t picked those out yet.

Sargent wants to kill perturabo so bad, because she feels ashamed of him. is it not the right of a young woman to kill her father? Or at least one of them. the rest of the squad are far more normal about both their fathers, except for psy, who unironically thinks both her “dads” are really cool.

Can’t stop thinking about that artwork suq/ling (an Art Lead on Legends of Runeterra) posted where Irelia is hunched over Liana/Blossoming Blade’s presumed corpse. It’s after a battle, the Mourned from LOR is there, and the theme is life vs afterlife in Ionia, where this image is contrasted with Riven living life in Ionia.

Is Liana meant to be dead in the main canon? Cause LOR is notorious for being dubious canon depending on different interactions (Riven for example, could be allies or enemies of her battlesisters, when in canon they’re her enemies, meaning only one “path” is canon) and Irelia has death line responses regarding Liana. Furthermore, Liana isn’t referenced in Sentinels of Light (not that I’d give that mediocrity any benefits but still) nor was Irelia mentioned in the LoL’s LGBT artworks last month. Would kinda suck, to promote her as gay only to reveal that her gf is dead and cause an uproar after all (assuming of course, that the writers intentions are allowed through and that’s what they’re meant to be read as).

Now this is technically “fanart” but at the same time, i can’t help but think of how Rolo vld was “confirmed dead” via Ki Hyun Ryu on his instagram. like Liana’s a minor character at best, and considering some of the promotional material following SOL and the personal shipping interests of certain creators of the Riot team I wonder....

Okay I know that Ashe calling Sejuani battlesister in the Freljord is this meaningful tradition and it’s tragic, but to me it sounds like the name of a 90s toy line with optional cartoon. Huh. That’d be a fun skin line, all kind of cheesy plastic armour.

Battlesisters but is a silly 80's-90's cartoon with just a season of two girls trying to bond sisterhood but they hate each other and then in the end they realize that power of love and friendship is actually meaningful and hug and now you can buy a happy meal with plastic figures of them.

i think ashe talks significantly more than most champions, and i get why some people don't like it, or why they'd find it distracting. if you look at her lines, she talks not only about herself and those closer to her, but about the freljord in general and their deities a considerable amount. so there's. a lot going on there and i really understand why some people don't enjoy it.

personally, i don't have an issue with it. it doesn't bother me and i love champion voice lines and interactions and lore so i'm well fed. i really just get why the amount of lines she has, combined with some being longer than usual for league, makes people think she never shuts up. imo she's fine though, i wish more champions talked more.

as to her personality, i generally like it, though there are some things that i'm not a fan of. some of her lines and interactions are too jokey and aware of player complaints (like the whole 'the freljord champions wear no clothes!' thing) and it gets referenced too directly and too often. some of the more jokey lines also don't work with what we see of her in general at all, like the line to sejuani asking which one is the pig. it feels devs thought it might be funny and chose to add it more so than that's something ashe would say.

which is not to say i don't like her joking and being more chill because i totally think under the right circumstances she might be, just that i'm not a fan of how these lines are implemented because i don't think all of them fit her. gragas goddamn you're on the wrong side again or however that goes is fine; to have the same character have a line that's you named me battlesister and kin, don't make me fight you sej and another that's so which one is the pig feels just out of place and jarring to me.

but other than some interactions like that and the self aware comments on the freljordian clothes, i like her lines and i think for the most part they're okay and do a good job with portraying who she is. a lot of lines come from the comic or are inspired by it, which is also neat imo. ultimately i like her vo a lot more than i dislike it.
