the boys have had an annual arm wrestling match since they were kids. they train for it and talk about it “off season”. master splinter is the judge and takes it equally as seriously. when they befriend april, casey, and vern, donnie sends them e-vites and tickets to print out (which must be presented at the door, vern forgot his last year and missed the leo v raph round going all the way home to get it and back). this year’s winner will be awarded the coveted spot as the lead vocals on the christmas covers album theyre working on.

Donnie is extremely matter of fact about mating season. The first time he brings it up with you, he’s more nervous about your answer than he is shy about explaining what it entails. (You couldn’t hear the words, but you did hear him muttering to himself before he came up to ask you. You suspect it was a pep talk.) He is very thorough when explaining mating season in general and how it affects him in particular. You are grateful and also a little turned on by the time he’s done.

Before you were in the picture, Donnie used to work himself until his system overloaded and he passed out during this time. Now he finds himself working a lot less, because he has you to focus on. He appreciates that you make him spend more time on leisure and don’t let him overwork himself. He also appreciates that you do let him work at least a little when the desire hits. Getting to cuddle with you is a surefire way to get him to rest when he needs it though. As long as you’re nearby, he’s happy to do whatever.

Donnie is a talker in general, but it gets ramped up to 100 when it’s his season. Unless his mouth is busy doing… other things… it’s basically a 24/7 stream of consciousness fest. Mostly it’s about you. How much he loves you, what in particular he loves about you, how exactly he wants to make love to you. His morning star, his starlight, his celestial beauty. Sometimes, though, he’ll interrupt himself to talk about something that just occurred to him about one of his projects. It never fails to pull a laugh out of you and make him rub the back of his neck in (adorable) embarrassment.

He enjoys physical affection and often seeks it out from you, and this holds true during his season. He won’t whine or get grumpy if you don’t want to be touching him all the time (*cough* like his brothers will *cough*), but he does prefer if you’re in contact with him somehow. He enjoys watching movies with your head on his lap and your hand in his. He especially likes it when you're on top of him.

Donnie is used to just taking care of himself whenever necessary, AND he is used to handling delicate things during his season. So there is a lot of gentle manhandling when the time comes. You can't do anything particularly engaging because he will come up and interrupt you whenever to have sex. IF you are wearing clothes at all (not often), you cannot wear underwear or pants, at most a skirt. That way he can just lift it up and enter you whenever the urge hits. He is especially fond of doing this when you're sitting on his lap while he's working (... "daddy's little cockwarmer").

Having you around does not mean that all of his toys go unused, oh no. He is very considerate, and would rather resort to them when you're getting rest. (He got your permission to stare at you while you slept and he used his toys. So considerate.) He also came up with some new toys that the two of you can use together. Having toys custom designed for your pleasure? Well. It really adds to the experience of mating season.

He likes to take his time and study you. He is always coming to you with a new experience he wants to try. He does get a lot of pleasure out of trying new things, but he mostly just wants to know how you'll react. He is intimately familiar with your body and how it reacts, and he wants to see if those reactions hold true when different stimuli are applied. His prodigious brain is always working. He particularly likes when something catches you off guard and a surprised gasp comes out of your mouth.

Donnie is not overtly possessive, even in his season. But there is always one hickey very carefully placed somewhere noticeable that you can't cover easily. He knows just how much force to use to leave an imprint of his hands without hurting you more than you enjoy. And if he catches someone looking at you? You will probably be walking a little funny the next day. When he ties you up (he enjoys tying you up. a lot.), he'll take a minute to sit back and observe you, pleasuring himself to thoughts of how you belong to him the same way he belongs to you.

When his season is over, his favorite thing to do is cuddle with you while the both of you sleep it off. He won't leave the bed, not even to work, until he deems you fully rested. (He will work in bed while you sleep on his plastron though.) His second favorite thing to do is bathe you. He takes his time to make sure every inch of you is clean and cared for. It's a lot like going to a spa, because Donnie did a lot of research into spas so that he could replicate that experience for you. And if you give him a little pampering in return? You'll get to hear him chirp and churr in complete satisfaction.

Wether biologically or adopted, doesn't matter.

They fucking adore you.

When April first brought you to see them when you were just a baby,

They were all terrified to hold you.

Raph straight up said, "Oh fuck no."

Mikey literally cried when April handed you to him, and there is a video of it.

He was just so happy and you were so cute and tiny 😭

Donnie was shaking so bad he had to let Leo hold you first,

Leo didn't want to let you go.

He did so, very, very, reluctantly.

They babaysit you all the time. No questions asked.

"Hey would you guys watch (Name), for afew hours? Casey and I-"

"Absolutely."

As you start growing up, they start competeing to see who your favorite uncle is.

Even though you're literally like, two.

Give you a juice box and they might as well be god.

Mikey gets in trouble sometimes for trying to be the coolest uncle,

One time, you guys were playing hide and seek, and you got the bright idea to wander into the sewers so you woukd be the ultimate winner.

Alone.

For hours.

Mikey was literally crying because he couldn't find you for so long, then he went to Donnie, who panicked and got Leo and Raph.

Raph was ready to beat Mikey's ass.

Anyway, they found you sitting in the dark playing patty cake with a fucking rat.

Mikey scooped you up, still crying and even though you didn't know why, you just went with it in only the way a toddler can.

Patting his nose, and saying, "Is otay, Mimey, is otay."

No, Mikey was not aloud to watch you alone after that.

No, your parents will never know of the Patty Cake Incident.

(Turns out the rat was dead.)

Leo really likes it when you hang out around him.

You guys have tea parties and invite everyone.

Raph didn't show up one time, and as a punishment Leo makes him wear fairy wings everytime there's a tea party.

Jokes on Leo though because Raph fucking slays in those fairy wings, and you guys always match now.

Donnie lets you nap in his lab since the noise helps you sleep.

You literally cannot nap anywhere except your own room, or Donnie's lab. Literally can't.

And you can't sleep with out the blanky Uncle Raph made you.

Even when you're a teenager, you physically can't sleep without that little old blanket.

Speaking of being a teenager,

Your parents have problems with you sneaking out of school to go hang out of the Lair.

They were't supposed to know :p

Your teachers called April and told her you'd been ditching school,

Twas not a fun day when you got home.

I know it's sounds surprising but I feel like raph is really easy when it comes to crushes

He just likes people

Like he's so fascinated by them, that when someone new comes around, he kinda gets attached

With crushes it's more physical stuff he's attracted too: your hair whether it be long or short. The color or your eyes. Any and all accessories you wear daily. Your height, are you super short or tall when compared to him?

Now, raph crushing is easy, but falling in love, that's when his walls go up

After about a month or so, when the friendship doesn't go anywhere or the person just doesn't have a fun personality, the crush kinda simmers away

But, if you prove to him that you value him as a friend, that's when you're in for it

If you stand up for him or his brothers in front of people that'll get you some extra Raphie points

If you can take his angry jabs and throw them right back at him, even more points

Then the physical stuff doesn't matter, he spends every moment learning everything he can about you

When this stage happens, he thinks it's just a strong crush, but no, it's the early stages of love <3

Donnie

This might also be a shock, but Donnie is also very quick to get a crush

Well not quick, he's very picky when it comes to any possible romantic partner

He's a 'friends to lovers' kinda guy, ya know

But if you come down to the lair often, and always make a point to visit and check in with him, he'll start to get happy by your visits

If you bring him food or coffee (just the way he likes it) something clicks in his brain

Like the way you're taking care of him suddenly makes him realize how sweet and caring you are

How warm and bright your eyes are. How enviting your smile is. Have you always had those dimples on your cheeks?

Like Raph, if you show him how much he means to you and how much you value your friendship, it'll make his heart skip a beat

He'll be reserved with his feelings for quite a bit, scoping out your movements to see if they're just friendly or if it's something more

In the meantime, he's happy to just sit with you and learn all about you

Mikey

At a shocking third place we find Mikey

Now, you may think Mikey gets crushes easy, but no, no no no, those are not crushes and feelings, that's admiration

He admires humans, all humans, all traits, literally everything

In the first movie he had a bit of a "crush" on April, that was simply because she was new, she was a girl, and actually took the time to get to know him and his family

But that crush quickly went away before the second movie

Mikey admires people, but there are certain ones that catch his attention.

Your hobbies and your job are the most interesting things about you to Mikey, he thinks they say a lot about a person

If you share hobbies he'll try to do them with you, but if not he's happy to listen anyway or watch silently

And then if you show interest in his hobbies.....!!!!!!!

Very few people actually bother to get to know the real Mikey, the Mikey behind all the funny faces and jokes, but if you put in that effort, he's practically head over heels for you in that very moment

You have to show him that you care about who is his not what he is

Once you do that you're in

Leo

Hardest to impress and hardest to keep, Mr. Fearless himself

He's not very trusting of people, he can be a bit of a negative Nelly when it comes to new people

He constantly thinks everyone is out to get his family and is going to turn them in the second they get a chance

So if you manage to actually get past all those walls, now starts the friendship stage

It takes Leo a while to form romantic feelings so it's a slow burn

But when you show him how much you care for his family (maybe getting Splinter tea, or playing games with Mikey, or working out with Raph and helping Donnie clean up his lab) he'll start to let his walls down

He's a bit of a dumbass and won't try to make a move because he is scared shitless that he'll make you uncomfortable

But when your attention suddenly goes from his brothers to him, he's thrown through a loop

He already knows everything about you, and now he sees just how amazing you are

Show him how much he and his family means to you and you'll have him eating out of the palm of your hand

Leo can't resist the dark look in your eyes or those heart-stopping smirks whenever you talk to him about your occultism books. He's never caught an interest in hellish stuff, but you sure make it appealing.

Raph: Kind of spooky, but in a cool way. He's all about watching you break your records and encouraging you when you're close to surpassing yourself. Last time You could levitate for a minute? Make it two! Make it three from a rooftop! Make it-

Donnie: Despite not believing in magic, he enjoys watching you incorporate different things into your hexes and spells. They're entertaining, and he teases you about them until one day, you turn a rock into an amethyst, and he flips.

Mikey loves the goth-chick aesthetic. He compliments your outfits every day. He has rough sketches of you from when you sit inside your candle circles to meditate or pray to the accident gods. He enjoys the sight and the smell of the candles.

💙 He wakes up slowly.

This is a surprise. Normally there is sleeping and then there is awakening, nothing in between. He lingers in the middle, confused but also… content.

It feels like meditating, he thinks, and without thought Leo’s breath slips into that familiar pattern. He allows his awareness to spread out.

Almost immediately he finds you. You are sprawled across his plastron, one arm flung across his waist and the other under your head over his heart. The softest snores are coming out of your mouth.

He has to remind himself to breathe, to slip back into his meditative state. It is harder than he thinks it should be.

At one point that had been a very sore subject for him, the way you disturbed his calm without even thinking about it. Now, though. Now he understands that some emotions are too strong to be fully curbed, that love is meant to disturb as often as it calms.

Now, he curves slightly into you even as he continues to meditate, breathing in your scent. There. That's the source of his contentment. You are the source of his contentment.

He meditates for some time, reflecting on you and on love. The highs and the lows, the agonies and the ecstasies. His quiet contemplation is interrupted by you, causing a smile to cross his face at the irony.

You nuzzle into his plastron slightly as you slowly start to wake. He opens his eyes and looks down to find that you've turned your head and opened your own eyes, a sleepy smile on your face.

He reaches out and brushes his thumb gently across your lips, cupping your cheek. You turn into his palm, giving it a small kiss as you stretch.

"Good morning princess," he whispers, and you mumble back as you curl farther into him.

His heart is full as the two of you prepare to begin your day together.
