Just finished the game and!!! It was good. Some aftermath convos and cuts/slides would be great, but even without them it was very satisfying!
Also Zevlor showed up to help me alongside other allies and I screamed. And Mol. And Arabella. And Rolan! 4 beloved tieflings out of 4.
Also the mercy kill of Orpheus (turned illitid) was very satisfying in terms of turned good Durge who used to murder bc father said so and for fun and now deals mercy kill probably for the first time in his life. It truly feels like his story went the full circle.
Also the Elder Brain recognizing Durge as its creator and saying it would follow and obey Durge, but not Ketheric, Orin and Gortash (who, Brain says, immediately started fighting like children the moment Durge was out of the picture) was AWESOME.
Brb gotta go find our wayward 7000 vampire spawns and help them to adjust.
Also Yenna is 100% Durge's child now. Astarion hasn't signed for co-parenting? Well, he better sign the fuck up real quick bc Yenna is coming to Underdark with them.

Making wiiimdfy!Jace aberrant mind started as a ploy to give him wizard spells as a treat but it gave him more trauma too and that’s a win for me. Suffer for those spells king ily 💖💖💖
Nah but in all seriousness I love him so much. He’s so- like he is the Jace I’ve projected the most on and stuffed the most trauma into but overall for all the hardships he still has a fairly decent support system and I like writing his dynamic with the people he cares about outside of Porter. Idk if I’ll ever get to it in the fic, but Jace had such a good relationship with his dad. He was always supportive and so protective and caring. He was the first person to tell him that if he wasn’t happy at Hudol, he didn’t need to stay. If he wanted to transfer to Aguefort or Mumple they could make the switch. If Jace wanted a tutor for wizardry or someone to pick up his sorcery training after his mom left he’d make that happen. If he liked boys he’d love him all the same. He loved Jace unconditionally until the day he died. Jace is forever grateful to have had that.
His dad was a paladin like Porter was and I think sometimes Jace wonders what it would’ve been like if he could’ve introduced Porter to him when he’s really in his feelings about things. He’d never wanna introduce Porter to his mom and stepdad, but he would introduce him to his sister (as long as she promises not to embarrass him. She does anyway tho)
His sister is like Zara in the way that she would kill Porter without hesitation- she would kill anyone without hesitation for her big brother. The big brother that didn’t owe her anything but offered her so much kindness. Jace was well into adulthood when his mom told him he had a new sibling and he wanted to be upset. He wanted to yell and scream at her for up and abandoning their family to start another. Leaving him in the middle of his training when he was so scared and confused about his magic and his curse. Leaving his dad so sad and lonely.. For as much as their mom despised his brother, his brother got the leaving trait from her.
It takes Jace stepping up to make sure their sister at least knew her eldest brother. It would be easy to leave or to ignore Tala’s questions about their brother but Jace doesn’t do the easy thing; the uncaring thing. His brother left home at 18 and never came back. Jace isn’t the worried 16 year old he was when he left, he’s a lot more tired and a lot more weary when his brother calls. He loves him but he watched his big brother grow up through a screen. Watched his grey hairs start to show and his laugh lines get deeper.
They talk but it’s so disjointed in a way that it isn’t with his sister. They live an ocean apart but she bugs and teases him as if they were right next to each other.
He hates that working for Porter occupied so much of his time that their daily phone calls turned to weekly, then monthly, until he’d maybe answer a text every couple of months. He was scared but his sister was fearless. Deadly smart too. She could’ve sniffed out what was wrong, she would’ve.
She wasn’t sure about the gradual radio silence but she worried for him. When she hears about what happened at Aguefort she’s terrified until she can confirm Jace is okay. She doesn’t care about morality or curses, she cares that her brother is alive. She almost drops everything and rushes to leave Fallinel to be by his side when she hears the flatness in his voice the first time they talk after his resurrection. He took care of her, took her in. She’d do the same for him. Always.

Different Universe, Same Love: Magic AU
"Oi! Broer! Hondje! We need to reach town before sunset! Hurry it up back there!"
"Okay, Theo!" Vincent called back, holding out his hand to the little healer mage, Abby, at his side, helping her step over a low branch that would have tripped her.
"We've still got plenty of daylight left," he reassured Abby, "Theo's just worried about us using up too much of our energy from the fighting earlier."
"How are you holding up? You used a lot of mana in that last fight against the manticore."
"I-I'm okay." she said, "I still have one more potion left in my bag so that should hold until we reach town."
"Are you sure? You look a little pale and your hand feels very warm."
"Mhmm!" She nodded with a smile.
Vincent still tightened his grip on her hand, keeping to her pace.
"This path is so beautiful…" she said absentmindedly, admiring the colorful flowers.
"Yeah," Vincent said, "if we weren't in a rush, I would have liked to paint them."
Vincent glanced ahead, seeing Theo talking to Arthur. Or bickering, with the way Theo was scowling and the eternally mischievous grin on Arthurs's face.
"But, we do need to conserve our strength and resources. Perhaps I can ask Theo if we can stay in town for a few days, so I can paint the flowers with you, if you'd like."
"Really? I would-!" She fell forward, Vincent's surprisingly strong arms for his class, catching her before she hit the ground.
"Careful!" Vincent helped her to stand upright, brushing her bangs out of her face, his hand lingering on her forehead.
"…Theo, Arthur!" He called, taking Abby's staff out of her hands. "Take our staves. Abby isn't feeling well."
"V-Vincent, I can-"
"No way, Hondje." Theo took her staff, noting her flushed cheeks. "You pass out and we're all in trouble."
"You sure you don't want one of us to carry her, mate?" Arthur offered, "Magic users aren't exactly known for having great strength-"
His words vanished on his tongue as Vincent easily into his arms with a tiny squeak from the little bird. Theo smirked.
"He might be an elemental mage, but Broer has strength to match any brawler or sword-wielder. And beat them."
"Bloody hell," Arthur whispered, staring in disbelief. "Guess… there are exceptions."
"Naturally." Theo said proudly , then turned back to Vincent. "Do you want to rest here?"
"How far off is the town?"
"We can make it there in less than an hour, if we move fast."
Vincent nodded.
"Keep an eye out for fever reducing plants, both of you. Maybe even a restoring fountain if we're lucky."
They also nodded and turned to move on ahead.
"Vincent, I… I'm so sorry…"
"Rest, schatje." Vincent said, readjusting his grip for speed and followed Theo and Arthur at a brisk pace. "We'll find an inn to recover in once we get to town. You'll be good as new then."
Abby laid her head on his shoulder, closing her eyes.

Another entry down! Only one more to go!
I know the prompt said circus/magic au, but I couldn't think of much for the circus theme, so I just went with my first thought at seeing magic, which was a sort of OG Final Fantasy kinda setting.
Many thanks again to Mo (@xxsycamore) and Julie (@queengiuliettafirstlady) for hosting this event once again!
Also, Happy World Watercolor Month, I'm gonna try to do most of my July artworks in watercolors (with help as needed with pencils and digital effects that I couldn't replicate in analog).

♫ 𝐵𝒶𝒸𝓀𝑔𝓇𝑜𝓊𝓃𝒹♫
Raised in Baldur’s Gate with her human mother, she knows very little of her elf nature, only what she has picked up from the elf friends and strangers in her life. She picked up the flute her father left behind when he left shortly after he wed her mother. He promised to return so she practiced the flute to show him how she, too, could play. She was naturally talented and quickly picked up the basics of it, however her father didn’t return in days, or months, or even years. Darling stopped waiting for him, stopped watching for him. Soon she was an adult and saw just how much her mother struggled to bring gold into the household. She had only the one talent and despite her desire to never pick up the flute again because it reminded her of her father, she would do anything to ease the burden on her mothers shoulders.
When she was 45 she held her mothers hand as she passed into the Fugue Plane. Watching her human mother pass at such a young age made Darling realize just how precious a mortal life was, especially one with a lifespan as short as a human.
She had been working as a stand-in for a moderately popular troupe that worked within the city, when they asked her if she would be willing to travel with them during their next trip to Waterdeep. With her mother gone and expenses on the small home she and her mother lived in stacking up she agreed it was time to move on. Traveling to Waterdeep was only her first step on her adventures…

Maybe the rage deal in the last episode wasn’t JUST “You live but have extreme amounts of rage.” What if they were offered their wildest dreams and the rage was a clause in like microfont bc to them the gifts of achieving their goals and living seems like a great deal especially for children. The rage pushes them to achieve a goal, the rat grinders are KIDS they arnt gonna have crazy outrageous dreams and ambition at 17 years old, I knew nothing when I was that age.
You have a crush on a girl for a couple years and want to catch her attention? Bam. Get more confidence, become buff, get noticed first the first time ever. Oisin was completely unrecognizable before but now after all this?
You hate another rogue so much you want to be better than him? Bam! Kipperlily finds the rogue teacher first AND signs up for the election assuming riz would be the one to do it bc why would Kristen Applebees want to be president? Which could be an event bigger fuel to KLCK’s fire.
You want to be a famous musician and you’re jealous of a bard in school who never goes to class but has what you don’t? Bam! Ruben copies her look and produce music when she’s on hiatus as well as getting signed by her label
Mary Anne’s is small and girly she was probably bullied and wanted to make it stop, so shes now indifferent, and strong enough to stand up for herself, she sees Gorgug on the first day of school get decked in the face jsut to grow into this strong guy and sees him as inspiration
Lucy was content with life, she loved her friends, loved her god and knew the rage wasn’t what she wanted to have to live with. The resurrection is supposed to help them feel fulfilled but she’d just be more unsatisfied with life if she took the offer. Lucy was happy with what she had, and had no further aspirations, she loved her god and 'stuck to her guns'
Buddy dawn a follower of helio, watches the chosen one of his church abandon everything, he’s sad and confused as to why she did what she did. He dies and is offered the chance to become the chosen one for an unnamed god, he’s scared, helio is missing, and if Kristin took an offer from a new god and was okay why wouldn’t he be?
The rat grinders were scared kids who needed a miracle, and one was offered CHILDREN WILL SCREAM FOR HELP UNTIL THEY ARE ARE OFFERED SANCTION, IT DOESN’T MATTER WHO THE SAVIOR IS
