Alright then, to take it from the top... here’s some things I’ve done here or there for this dang game, from oldest to newest. With a big chunk of months starting with the margin Floofty there. Much is traditional and such, which is not my most practiced medium. Details on each below, just because I like over-explaining and it helps my nerves about posting.
1st: Fairly certain this Gramble is the first thing I did that was OK enough to show. Or, at least close to the first. He was one of my favorites and still is for his kindness(though he also can be really mean and paranoid, also a reason why I like him), so I wanted to get around to em. Also he’s very cute, I love my little malewife. I wanna scoop him up and hold him. Trouble is, Gramble has to have some of the most awkward proportions I’ve yet experienced while trying to draw a grumpus, I swear. That, and the more I looked at it, the more I grew to be unhappy with it. That generally applies to basically all of the drawings from last year, I find them to be “eh” at best. But it is what it is. 2nd: Second up is Flooftyyy, my most favorite. Intelligent, well-spoken, morally ambiguous, NB... and an asshole. But one with a cause they believe in that’s ultimately well intentioned, which they’ll go to self-destructive lengths to fulfill. And it’s clear they struggle to really get a grasp on how to treat people and have learned to cope with their frustration by shutting everyone out and believing them to be ignorant. While still obviously playing favorites between Eggabell and Triffany :p But by the end of the game, they’re learning that in order to really do what they want, they’ve got to really try and understand others. They’re the sort that I’d love to keep following to see their development. The awkwardness, the uncomfortable apologies and attempts at empathizing or opening up, the potential for blossoming relationships and a connection with others that, maybe, they’ve never quite experienced before. Their character is one that’s kind of close to my heart for being interesting and also quite similar to one I made and roleplayed for years. Add in the fact they’re NB and that just sealed the deal, that’s some fucking gender goddamn euphoria right there. So I had to draw them. 3rd: This one also mostly falls under the same explanation as above, except it was an effort as really figuring out grumpus bodies and proportions and stuff. Albeit in the form of solely Floofty, but my mental bandwidth for anything more than a drawing or two at a time is zilch. After that I’m spent. It was the first thing that I felt even marginally satisfied with, however.... I just feel like I’m in danger when looking at it. Like I’m gonna lose my way of things and habits I’ve built now from observing it too closely. Did keep the eyes, however. Kind of. 4th: To be real w you I just felt like drawing a Filbo after seeing a Filbo. He’s cute and I’d put a smooch on his dumb little head. Also more practice w grump stuff, but with some intentional attempts at stylization. I guess it didn’t stick, but who knows, maybe I could pick some of it back up?  5th: THE FIRST NEW DRAWING FROM A FEW DAYS AGO and it’s FLOOFTY, of course. It’s not really the first, there’s a few other things before it, but they suck so... yeah. I’d crawled out of the Bugsnax hole somewhat after a few months and failing to really do anything I actually wanted to do before, but a particular fic conked me right back 6 ft under. Piled the dirt over me and packed it in tight. So here I am again. And not only is it like that, but after binging a whole nearly 60,000 words in a night/morning, I was struck with the inspiration to actually write myself. Or try to, anyway. I have experience in RPing, but not a whole lot in actually... making a story myself. It’s not been going well, but I’ve talked plenty about that already... I’m sure it gets annoying for the whole maybe one person whose seen most of it to witness. And I’m still having fun. I’d mention the fic, but considering it’s NSFW and I’m officially tagging this... I don’t know if they’d want me advertising it as such. But surprise surprise, it’s Floofty related. And don’t get the wrong idea, while it covers explicit subject matter, that’s not entirely the point. Not a bad thing if it were, just that it’s more than that. I just like good character writing over all else, which is something liking this game to begin with heavily reinforced.... 6th: Heeeere’s Gramble, again. I’d been doing some little drawings for character profile stuff in my notebook, but I started to run into some difficulties when I got to him. This here is one of the results of the couple of little draws I did to try and understand. Again, his proportions are so *weird*. He’s just a little guy.... 7th, 8th, 9th, 10th: Here marks the first impulse draw after considering Buddy/Filbo/Beffica poly stuff. As well as the sudden Buddy drawing in general, which came as a big shock to me. These draws are suuuper rough, but I like the concepts. And goodness has this stuff been a whole ‘nother tangent... I did a fair amount of talking about it here. I’d do more, since there were TONS of details I still wanted to mentioned, but... my hands are starting to hurt. So maybe later. I realized that I kinda of messed up their design in my head bc I thought they had more similar teeth to Clumby. Whoops. That’s what I get for not using reference and same with FlooFTY’S TEETH AND THE WATCH NOOOOOOOOOO- .... *Ahem* I reckon the design is subject to change. Gotta make some little adjustment here or there, like maybe different eyes to distinct them from Floofty, but I actually rather... like the look. The hat, tie, and maybe a change to a bag on the side look nice... if totally not canon. But I will have just a little break from canon, as a treat. Otherwise it’s canon or bust. Personally, at least. I don’t really hold others to that standard unless they say they’re trying to follow canon or diverge so badly that a character is unrecognizable.

i've had so many people tell me the office is a straight show and parks and rec and community are gay shows, and i won't necessarily disagree, bc yeah, i honestly feel the same way. but i also think that that's interesting, bc i think in a lot of ways p&r and community aren't actually all that much more progressive than the office when it comes to lgbtq+ representation.
like, let's look at the gay characters in these shows. p&r has no long-term, narratively important queer characters as far as i remember. there were april's boyfriend and his boyfriend, craig, and those penguins. according to the wiki, jean ralphio was bi (?), which i didn't even remember. most of these are basically played for laughs—the closest any of these characters get to being a serious character is craig, who is only in the final few seasons and isn't all that major.
next, community. the dean's flamboyance is mostly played for laughs, his costumes and drag are always jokes, and, most relevantly, he's creepy with jeff. he touches him randomly and without consent, constantly flirts with him when jeff is a student and he's an administrator, he blackmails jeff into spending the day with him (studies in modern movement), and he moves into the condo next to jeff's (i think this is in history 101). i've sen this sort of thing called out for a lot of shows, most notably in glee, which is also a gay teacher being creepy to a student (albeit in a high school rather than a community college, which changes the ages), but never in community. there are some good things—i think s6ep4 "queer studies & advanced waxing" has a brilliant way of exploring tokenization and the ways labels don't always fit people's full experiences. the other instances of gay characters are fairly lackluster—they pull that thing where a character comes out at the very end of a show's run with chang, which i've always thought was sort of a cheap joke, and other characters are often called gay or implied to be gay by other characters (britta, troy and abed, frankie), but none of those characters end up being canonically queer in the show. troy and abed do have a relationship that many interpret as queer, however, which i feel warrants mentioning.
then there's the office, where we have oscar. oscar is confirmed to be gay fairly early in the show's run (s2ep13 "the secret"), then forced to come out in s3ep1 "gay witch hunt". characters are certainly weird to him about it, but the joke generally seems to be on the people making fun of him; for example, in "gay witch hunt", when michael kisses oscar, it's pretty clear that the audience is supposed to be solidly on oscar's side. there are also a few nice moments; one that stands out to me is the time darryl gets defensive against a homophobe when paired up with oscar in s9ep16 couples discount. of course, later they do the whole gay senator thing, which is a little annoying (the whole duplicitous gay conservative politician is kind of a tired trope, and there are a bunch of things in the senator that you could probably get hung up on), but overall i would maybe say that the office has better gay rep than p&r and community (i'd say it's almost definitely better than p&r).
anyway, this makes me wonder why others have told me that community is a gayer show, and i think this comes down to two big things, which are 1) progressivism and 2) assimilationism.
progressivism is a bigger deal when it comes to contrasting p&r and the office. p&r is a very progressive show; leslie knope is a very progressive person, and since she's the main character, the whole show follows that bent (most other characters are also progressive, with the notable exception of ron swanson). the office is not; it's humor is often more offensive and edgy (which i think can partially be drawn back to the facts that it started airing in 2005 rather than 2009) and it's not set in a government environment; the show as a whole isn't really based on politics, and it doesn't explore the characters' political views all that often. i think it's this progressivism and political focus that people connect with gayness in p&r.
for community, i think the main way you can contrast it with the office is by looking at the long-running gay characters. oscar is gay, but he basically fits the mold of a straight character who dates men (a la love, simon). he says himself that "Besides having sex with men, I would say the Finer Things Club is the gayest thing about me." he is rarely shown being romantically interested in men, and rarely does anything else that might identify him as gay. the dean, however, is flamboyant, dresses in drag, is constantly shown to be interested in men, and is generally seen as gay by other characters. i think this creates a different attitude about queerness within the show: community's more questionable (in my opinion, at least) portrayal of flamboyant and obvious queerness is more attractive than the office's portrayal of accepting assimilated queerness. (we could also talk about how troy and abed seem to be relatable for gay people, but that's a whole different post.)
anyway, this isn't meant to flame any of these shows for their gay rep. i just think the differences between the attitudes we have towards them kind of reveals what makes us see tv shows as gay, and especially where that diverges from 1) what would be expected and 2) what tv writers may be trying to do.

( jared padalecki, 35ish, he/him )  welcome to reprieve, SAM WINCHESTER who is from SUPERNATURAL, SEASON 14.  rumor has it they are a HUNTER/SPECIAL CHILD, but only they could tell you the truth! when i close my eyes, i think of them and imagine PLAID SHIRTS, DARK CIRCLES FROM SLEEPLESS NIGHTS, AND SECRETS BURIED IN LIES.
given  that  sam’s  a  canon  character  from  supernatural,  i’m  not  going  to  go  super  in-depth  on  his  background.  you  can  read  about  it  here.  
basically  from  a  young  age,  sam  was  resistant  to  the  life  the  winchesters  lived.  he  didn’t  want  to  be  a  hunter  —  he  longed  to  be  normal,  to  have  your  typical  apple  pie  life,  and  he  left  hunting  behind  to  do  just  that.   he  went  to  stanford,  took  the  LSATS,  and  was  going  to  law  school.   throw  in  probably  marrying  his  college  girlfriend,  maybe  having  a  couple  kids,  and  he  knew  exactly  how  his  life  would  play  out.
   that  is,  until  dean  crashed  through  his  window  and  said  their  father  was  missing.   he  allows  himself  to  get  dragged  back  into  a  world  he  thought  he’d  left  behind,  willfully  ignorant  to  the  visions  he’d  been  having.     when  he  finally  gets  back  to  stanford,  his  girlfriend  dies  at  the  hands  of  the  very  creature  that  killed  their  mother  20  years  earlier.
                                              the  rest,  as  they  say,  is  history.                             saving  people,  hunting  things;  the  family  business.
but  it’s  not  just  monsters  that  go  bump  in  the  night.   there’s  demons,  angels,  even  the  big  man  himself,  and  in  the  end  it’s  all  just  some  cosmic  joke.   god’s  a  puppet  master  with  too  much  free  time  on  his  hands  and  he  makes  them  suffer.   they  suffer,  they  lose,  and  in  the  last  stand  against  him  they  lose  again.  one  last  time.     the  end.
(  this  is  au  post  s14.  i  diverged  a  little  and  ruined  his  life  bc  i’m  the  worst.  )
except  it  isn’t.    he’s  in  purgatory,  trapped  with  no  visible  way  out;  one  last  game  chuck  plays  with  him.   when  he  manages  to  get  out,  he’s  the  sole  survivor.   jack,  cas,  dean,  they’re  all  dead.    he  starts  over.       so  he  does  what  he  knows;    he  saves  people,  hunts  things.  it’s  shortly  after  that  he  meets  another  hunter  and  her  family.  while  he  was  planning  on  going  it  alone,  keeping  to  himself  and  just  focusing  on  the  work,  something  about  her  endeared  him  and  they  started  working  jobs  together.   they  hunted,  fell  in  love,  and  were  y’know  relatively  happy  for  4  years.  they  even  decided  to  get  married,  though  they  never  did  make  it  down  the  aisle  after  saying  i  do.  papers  signed,  but  no  happy  ending.  an  enemy  of  the  winchesters  grabbed  sam,  carving  out  his  anti-possession  tattoo  mid-ceremony.  he  was  possessed  by  a  demon  who  was  working  with  their  enemy,  forced  to  watch  himself  kill  friends  and  people  he  considered  family.   he  was  powerless  to  stop  them.   when  his  wife  came  face  to  face  with  him,  standing  among  the  corpses  of  their  friends,  he’d  hoped  she’d  put  an  end  to  their  suffering.   that  was  the  rule;  if  something  ever  happened,  they  weren’t  to  hesitate  but  to shoot  first,  ask  questions  later.   she  didn’t  though,  and  he  got  away.  as  far  as  he  knew,  she  was  dead;  murdered  by  his  hand.  
     everything’s  blurry  after  that.   one  minute  it’s  2030,  and�� the  next  he’s  back  in  2020  and  in  a  city  he’s  not  sure  every  existed.  he’s  certainly  never  heard  of  it.  maybe  it’s a  blessing,  getting  those  missed  years  back,  or  some  kind  of  ‘groundhogs  day’  esque  curse  —  or  trap  —  that  he’s  playing  straight  into.  
SO WHAT NOW?
    his  memories  of  his  time  possessed  are  patchy,  and  some  of  it  is  just  straight  up  inaccurate  bc  he  had  his  memories  /  awareness  fucked  with  by  the  demon.   it’s  why  he  thinks  his wife’s  dead  even  though  he  didn’t  actually  do  it.   he’s  also  now  starting  to  experience  some  of  the…  side  effects  of  not  being  on  his  demon  blood  shit.  because,  ofc,  the  demon  wanted  to  be  powerful  and  was  guzzling  it  like  you  wouldn’t  believe.  soon,  he’s  going  to  be  experiencing  worse  than  a  few  hallucinations.  given  how  much  he  ingested,  if  he  doesn’t  get  back  on  his  shit  —  it  might  kill  him.

thom- i hate to start this off with a jotakak-themed song because i know some people Despise jk. i’m sorry for y’all who do, but ahh this song has been stuck in my head for days now! :’( In terms of the SDA, i always think of this song as like…jotaro’s bittersweet journey w his feelings for kak. it’s something about the like, ghostly windchimes in the beginning, the phone buzzing in the bg, and the “please don’t run away”s man, ahhh. I listen to this song a lot when brainstorming him coming to accept that friendship is as far as he and kak go. However,“ The pitter patter gave a rather rinse and lather feeling/ As opposed to shitty attitudes that made me bitter after laughter/ And I dearly regretted it” really makes me think of pt. 4 jotaro in any context. We only see the end result of his development from SDC, but like hhh… do you think he regrets being so gruff? I think of that 1 fanart where he’s looking at the group picture + hoping they knew he wasn’t annoyed by them (or something along those lines, i forget the exact line…ahh)
something’s missing- So, ofc not all parts of this song apply.. and truthfully, I listen to this song while thinking of the immediate period after the crusade in the SDA and how the crusaders are all left with this hole in them (..@kakyoin literally.. i’m sorry i had to. also, abdul is the hole). Out of all of them, though, I always think of Jotaro the most w this song- “My dad asks, ‘Were you okay out where you were stranded?’ How do I tell him that I wasn’t just okay… I was so much better?” LIKE DAMN THAT IS ONE (1) KUJO JOTARO… :( i think he comes back from the crusade and just feels.. severely misplaced. Going back to Japan and the girls following him to school every morning feels so alien to him.
tempest rhapsody- this song is just… *chef kiss* It makes me think of like. star platinum’s first manifestation, and of the emotions one would feel during a 50-day crusade to a place you’ve never been before, where you run the risk of death at least once a week…how would it feel to know if you got seriously injured in a fight, there would be a very real possibility that your *cough* dearly beloved *cough* mother could die? this song is my answer to that question
only in sleep- another choir song! i cannot help myself. This one is more for canon Jotaro. I’ve read a few fics about the universe reset where he’s reunited with the other crusaders one last time before everything becomes nil, and…..augh. “The years had not sharpened their smooth round faces, I met their eyes and found them mild — Do they, too, dream of me, I wonder, And for them am I too a child?“ is imo such a jotaro 4 am deliberation
softly- THIS. this was the Original jotakak song, no offense thom. i used to listen to this song on REPEAT while reading nessun dorma, ahhh. so much of the sda jotakak dynamic is shaped from that fic and this song, hghshg. Anyhow, now that I’ve worked on the development of their relationship in the sda, this song is most definitely a song for the jotaro who unknowingly pines in 3rd year and then comes to realize that ah…these are Emotions during uni. during their third year, jotaro and kakyoin do a ton of self-exploration, and spend more than one night floating in the pitch black void of the ocean talking about what they’re going to do after graduation with only the stars to accompany them. they lose this when jotaro goes to florida for uni + kakyoin paris, but they make up for it by calling each other all the time, so “Touch you softly I call you up late at night” made this song an instant hit in my book ghshghw. I adore this song, through and through. ;u;
post-published honorable mention bc i rediscovered him while i was workin on polnareff’s playlist!! DOLLY ZOOM is another really good song for pining jotaro. in the sda, he feels really Horrible about having a crush on kakyoin for a long time because he and his family (that is phrased weird, i am sorry) are the entire reason kakyoin got a hole punched right through his abdomen and spine. they’re the entire reason kakyoin spent months learning how to walk and use his legs again. he doesn’t do anything except bury his feelings because, to him, it’d be Really selfish to do otherwise. i listened to dolly zoom nonstop when i started writing Jotaro’s Decade-Long Yearn because it captures the guilt really well, ahh.
Kakyoin (it is 1:24 am as i’m starting this… let’s see how long i agonize over this part lmao)
ultraviolence- ahh, ze Mindworm Song. I really despise diokak and the fact that he had to spend like…3-4 months with the mindworm just chilling in his brain, but I can’t ignore the fact that he latched onto dio’s friendship and was initially elated to have that whole thing happen. It haunts Kakyoin in canon, and it Most Definitely haunts him in the SDA, and i think he and jotaro have a lot of conversations about how and why and what that whole experience was like. I always end up coming back to this song when brainstorming this year in the au. The beginning just sounds so lonely, and the background choir/ voices really give me the heebie jeebies. Then, there’s the build-up to the beat drop, which really make me think of like. what being mindwormed could feel like? And how it must feel to be so lost in that sauce that you become a passenger in your own mind, lost to the whim of one super manipulative vampire, augh. “You give me love, you know you give me love with your ultraviolet rays” ties into a few of FKA Twigs’ other songs where she sings about not being enough and really obsessively deriving love from someone whose attention is ultimately really harmful and unhealthy, and I think about that and Kakyoin a lot. :(
sound and color- so truthfully, this is my go-to song for any character that dies/almost dies and comes back, or goes through a Huge Life Change. kakyoin fits both of these bills to a T! this song makes me think of getting used to being around such a rowdy but tight-knit group of people who genuinely care about you All Day Long after spending your entire life in isolation. I always think of like, a happiness montage when the second half of this song comes around, and the montage i daydream about for kak during that section is *chef kiss* Sound + Color is like one of the best songs ever, and it’d be a crime to not have a kak setting for it. 
first love/late spring- fellas, here’s the kakyoin equivalent to jotaro’s softly. this song was IT, back when the sergio-divergent au and the “All the Crusaders Live” au were two separate things. back then, kakyoin and jotaro’s realization that oh, fuck, they really meant the entire world to each other happened much earlier in the plot. Looking back on that now makes me squint, but I do think that this song is still really fitting for kakyoin exploring those feelings- friendship is one thing, but romance is something entirely different and a lot more intimate. i think it’s a tug-of-war for him, between wanting to jump in to those feelings and wanting to run far far away from them because he doesn’t want to be wrong and ruin their friendship. good times in the kak hole
last words of a shooting star- I really love the bastard fucker side of kakyoin that is explored and celebrated in our fanon, but I can never shake the fact that some of his last thoughts were of his parents (and i think he was sorry for making them worry? which… baby…) and that his polite, “outwardly anxious” presentation was this big facade for like.. the Deep and Soul-Wrenching loneliness he felt because he was a stand user? The first stanza and “They’ll never know how I’d stared at the dark in that room/ With no thoughts” make me think of kakyoin deeply- if his family had never gone to egypt and he’d never met dio or jotaro, what would have happened to him? Who would he be? i’ve always been super attached to that part of kak bc fundamentally… I Relate. but also i am just fond of it because it makes me sob- he deserved so much better than to get murdered by the same man who manipulated his entire identity right at the climax of his character arc….some crimes can never be forgiven, hirohiko….
vertigo- i don’t listen to this song for kak often, but it is a Quintessential Kakyoin song. according to khalid’s twitter, vertigo is a song about “Overcoming overthinking. After every dark days, there’s a brighter outcome. Being at a super low place in your life and realizing that, there’s other people going through that same path you’re walking down. There’s always light at the end of the tunnel. It’s also a story about fear of abandonment.” which….Big Kakyoin Energies. The “Are we alive?Or are we dreaming?” part also ties back into the Kakyoin Parties in a Coma for a Month arc- your mind has a wild wild time when you’re in a medically induced coma, theoretically because it’s trying to fill in the blanks for all of the stuff you’re sensing? And coming out of a medically induced coma is a bizarre experience, where it’s hard to tell if you’re still in the coma and just imagining things or if you’re actually awake. Kakyoin has a mad time in the month immediately after SDC, one that i’m sure he doesn’t enjoy too much after the death 13 fight.
honorable mention goes to i am not yours- this has been a kak song to me for a long time as well. the context of the song is way different from my interpretation for this setting, but AH. I just think kakyoin really struggles to differentiate and understand romantic feelings. This song really reminds me of that struggle, and I think also touches nicely on like. the identity issue of it all too.. “yet i am i, who long to be” yanno? ; J ; it’s hard for me to explain
another honorable mention, my statue sinking. in the sda, after the events in egpyt, kakyoin is thrown into a coma for like an entire month while his body gets operated back together, and then he spends months in physical therapy learning how to walk w a prosthetic spine (kudos to cyborg speedwagon being a reverse engineering madman :D). i like to imagine that there’s also some degree of therapy going on this whole time, also. you don’t just get donuted + thrown into a coma for a month without some counseling to get you back on your feet..i think the lasting effects of dio’s influence are addressed here, but only briefly because it’s not something kakyoin is eager to explore. however, I think that this song captures the like... distress? i guess? of knowing that your life has been irreparably thrown off course because of dio. like yes, you met some really wonderful people that helped you learn how deeply healing friendship could be! but also.. you lost months of your life to mind control, and then another month to a coma, and then additional months to training your body to function again....there’s some psychological stress there. While I think that Jotaro and Polnareff are affected the most by the crusade, I think they all emerge from it with some degree of ptsd. Being targeted by complete strangers at all times of day cannot be good for your mental health, you know? Anyhow, I think My Statue Sinking captures that aftermath feeling really well. Everyone survives and recovers from the crusade, but there’s a part in all of them that is lost to Egypt. 
on to sergio!! (it is now 2:04 am lmaooooooo) sergio will be easy because I only ever listen to the same handful of songs when I’m writing him hdhgh
i will come to you- this is THE sergio song. i think of this song every time i write about him, whether it’s the “believe in me…” “also believe in me” lyric exchange that i imagine he has with both tomoko and holly; the “and i will pray to my father…my father…and he will abide” part being about him reaching out to joseph with his final breaths and spilling all of the beans about dio and begging him to finish things so that Tomoko and Josuke, the Kujos, and he and Suzi can be safe; the “foreeever……foreee-eever.. forever..” part being where he dies and his soul passes into the next realm.. “even the spirit of truth [golden prophet] whom the world [..yeah..] cannot receive, because it seeth him not [bc suad defects and buries sergio instead of bringing his dead body to dio]. You Comfortless… iiii wiiiill come…. to you.. to You” part being about his soul mingling within star platinum and crazy diamond because he has a Need, even in death, to protect them. UGH (also his essence being especially prevalent in crazy diamond, which is partially why its power is to repair things!! bc hamon! ; O ;) literally I have an Entire music video with sergio’s death set to this music. i’ve listened to it way too many times.
when david heard- so to be frank this is actually more of a joseph song, but it’s only a joseph song when sergio exists + gets murdered. :o i cried the first time i listened to this, and then months later i listened to it while thinking of sergio + like. sobbed fr fr. Joseph is asleep when Sergio calls him, so he gets sergio’s final message as a voicemail on his answering machine hours after the fact. the message itself is chilling because Joseph had no clue his son had gone on this huge mission by himself to kill Dio, and now he’s dead! however, it’s made even worse because Joseph wasn’t there to pick the call up and comfort his son in his dying breaths or do Anything. it’s just like Caesar, which is. god awful. it’s such a horrible realization because sergio, whom joseph named after what caesar wanted to name his own son, has been condemned to the same fate as his namesake. Thus this song- i’ve yet to come across a song that captures the feeling of hearing that kind of news so well. (also when i tag things as my sOOOOON or *cries my son in 8-part harmony a la whitacre*, this is the song i’m referencing :D)
zombies / terrified- ahhh, these songs capture the HORROR sergio feels upon sensing dio’s presence in Japan really well. (also “I’m going to eat you alive/please don’t find me rude, but i don’t eat fast food/ so don’t run too fast” is SUCH a dio mood…) Sergio maintains his composure about the Dio Dilemma for a good year before he flies off the handle, and his entire proto-crusade against the vampire is just. Laced with paranoia, even if he is learning a ton of useful skills. These two songs capture that feeling of something constantly watching/creeping up on you so well, and ever since i discovered them, I’ve listened to them for Sergio inspo.
the prophet- This is the only song I’ve done so far that the characters would actually listen to lmao. Sergio is a Huge fan of The Temptations, and his stand is actually named after this song! (+ the esoteric title for the hermit, which was really amazing luck on my end ; J ;) it also had a huge hand in figuring out what his stand power would be, the lyric that decided it was “God doesn’t listen to the words you pray; he hears what your heart has got to say.” However, the entire last stanza of the song ties really well into his character arc fhshgh. Also, this song just feels like it could Be the child of Bloody Stream, if that makes any sense. it’s so groovy and funky, but the lyrics are like big ominous lmao. I was super ecstatic to find this song- if sergio were to ever get an animation, this song would be the OP, yanno?
armageddon- This is another “this song would be on their personal playlist” song. Sergio’s got a lot of love for all styles of music in his heart, but jazz is his home base and always what he comes back to. I like to imagine that Lisa Lisa’s husband introduces Sergio to Wayne Shorter’s music at the age of like 8 or 9, and Sergio’s just. obsessed with the man’s music for the rest of his life. I really love Shorter’s explanation for the meaning of this song and its album as a whole: “What I’m trying to express here is a sense of judgment approaching - judgment for everything alive from the smallest ant to man. I know that the accepted meaning of ‘Armageddon’ is the last battle between good and evil - whatever it is. But my definition of the judgment to come is a period of total enlightenment in which we will discover what we are and why we’re here.” Like… wig.. I feel like that’s such big sergio energy. Armageddon itself also feels like a really nice ED- it’s lively, but in a good episode-ending kind of way. Do i dream of animating Sergio’s adventure one day? Mayhaps.
honorable mention goes to just my imagination/ my girl- We’ve covered that Sergio adores The Temptations, so it’s no secret that he would listen to these songs ceaselessly. however, i really like the broadway harmonies + instrumentals that they did for Ain’t Too Proud, so that’s what’s goin in here. these songs are THE tomoko/sergio songs…He loves Tomoko and the way she quips + teases + gets up to nonsense with him So Much. There’s a huge part of him that has No Idea what Tomoko sees in a music geek like him, but ughh he is so grateful that she likes him because she is a Goddess. he’s blessed yo..

Wait what. Zelda fanfic??
Me, seeing this in my inbox: “my sins have caught up with me” 
I feel obligated to start this with the disclaimer that the reason I really started writing (ie actually committed to a project and started developing any inkling of skill) was so I could write unrealistic gay smut Zelda fanfic when I was 13. Also, I’ve got a Navi tattoo on my foot so I’d like to use this opportunity to just go ahead and declare the LoZ-trash throne for myself. 
So yeah! I’ve been quietly working on this gigantic Skyward Sword canon-divergence/post-canon story for a couple months now? I was at my parents’ house for spring break in March and on a whim set up the Wii to play SS, which was a weird experience since I hadn’t played it for several years and on loading it up was faced with the reminder that I’d named Link “Baby~” to get a kick out of Ghirahim saying it, and after all the cringing that invoked, I was drop-kicked by the reality that my memory’s not entirely faulty and Ghirahim–and honestly all of SS–really just Is Like That.
And once I got over that bout of cringing I realized Ghirahim actually still vibes with me and 13yo me knew what she wanted and was onto something; I simultaneously redeveloped my hatred for SS!Zelda and figured I should shove all of that into one fic, because, why not? And then the stars aligned and I didn’t sleep for three days because the fanfic writer in me had taken back over and punted me to 2012.
Anyway the concept for my fic is under the cut to spare innocent souls but unrelated takeaways: 
This fanfic is the only writing project I’ve literally ever had where I’ve sat down and been able to plot the entire thing in one go and have it make sense and I’m… still overwhelmed by that. 
I wrote 30k in 4 days because of this bad boy *slaps fic*
I love writing for Legend of Zelda. The fandom itself is very chill and that’s great but, imo, more importantly the characters are perfect to write for. There’s so little canon characterization (esp. for Link) that you’re really just given a few core concepts and get to run free with the characterization–canon is huge so there’s infinite space to run there and, simultaneously, the vague characterization makes it easy to transpose into AUs.
Skyward Sword spoilers under the cut but it’s 2019 sooo ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
Okay secondary (& tertiary) disclaimer: it’s absolutely a GhiraLink fic because it’s what 13yo me would have wanted and it’s what current me wants too tbh but Ghirahim is out of character because… man, I love him, but his canon behaviors are just A Little Too Much for me and I’m incapable of recreating that (and unwilling to try). Imagine if Ghirahim was like… five years more mature. And looked like Matteo Martari. And had at least five brain cells. 
:’) I pretend I’m bigger than this but I’m not, and we should all know it. 
Anyway the premise is basically: What if Hylia wasn’t necessarily a benevolent goddess and Demise wasn’t necessarily a world-eating demon, and it was only portrayed this way to convince the bearer of the Triforce to side with her and keep the world under her influence? What if Link wasn’t necessarily destined to be the bearer and it was essentially a role up for grabs, one that Ghirahim desperately wants for himself? What if they’re equals? What if--
What if none of that is necessarily true either, but it’s what Ghirahim tells Link to further his own plans?
And it sort of goes on like that for a while. 
It’s super long and starts out with canon and follows the entire game with minimal divergence, with the exception that Ghirahim works with Link to temper Fi’s blade because Link is slow, Ghirahim can’t do it himself, and also it’s kind of fun for both Ghirahim and I to watch Link torment himself about having Friendly Feelings for his rival only for Ghirahim to stomp on his throat. Also, Ghirahim rather bluntly comes out and warns Link that he’s being used and Link, who’s reasonably resentful about how Hylia’s using him and his feelings for Zelda, sort of just goes

Alas, it’s not enough, Link is a Good BoyTM and Demise gets sealed away and Hylia wins, canon as usual. Except Link likes Ghirahim an embarrassing amount and Ghirahim manages to bind to him before Demise can completely crush him, which is great!
Because now we’re like 90k in the hole and finally getting somewhere!
Ghirahim’s in an absolutely horrid state after the battle with Demise and Link, after his own recovery period, is pretty desperate to get away from Hylia, so they (angstily) agree to do whatever it takes to repair Ghirahim, which is basically to temper him the way Fi was tempered but with demonic flames instead. The flames are in temples based off of Ocarina of Time’s Shadow Temple, and Twilight Princess’s Temple of Time & Snowpeak Top.
So they’re alone on the road together for months, and: Emotion! Angst! Saving each other’s lives! Several deadly sins, but especially lust! Slow reveal of Ghirahim’s Tragic BackstoryTM! Quicker reveal of Ghirahim bathing because emotionally I’ll forever be 13 years old and will never get over my desire for stupid flamboyant villains! Ghirahim reveals magic that doesn’t just throw kunais, like heating spells that require them to cuddle when it’s cold and they’re camping in the wild!
What. I already said I’m trash and not above anything. Cuddling is the fastest way to a hero’s heart and that’s the hill I’m dying on.
Oh. Important: I headcanon that Fi doesn’t actually have to physically manifest to speak with Link, and could just talk to him in his head--so now that Ghirahim is sword-bound to Link, he’s the one in Link’s head. That generally goes about as well as can be expected and is why Ghirahim is almost constantly physically manifested, because Hero Trauma has made Link’s head a MESS
Hylia also happens to be able to weasel into Link’s head, which is a source of Big Angst, bc Link has definitely caught feelings for one (1) stupid tall demon, and Ghirahim...
I mean, I said Ghirahim has five brain cells and at this point that’s more than even I have, so he’s got a plan that’s much bigger than what Link knows of. One way or another, he’s going to be one to pry that Triforce from Link, he’s going to be the one to live forever in a reincarnation loop, and he’s going to be the one who decides which way the world tilts in the grand scheme of things. 😈
I’m not posting it anywhere yet because honestly I’m an overwriter and self indulgent and frankly it’s a huge concept!!! I’m convinced this fic is gonna be at least 250k words so I don’t want to post it until it’s completely written bc the odds of me drafting half of it and then giving up are Very High. But like. I have so much fun with this project (currently titled En Passant, after the chess move, for, uh, symbolic purposes I guess), it’s super relaxing to work on in comparison to original fiction 😍 
If you’ve read this to the end I owe you my soul and I am so sorry for my nonsense.

So  I  dug  up   this  post   which  I  made  based  on  a  old  post  I  made  back  in  the  day  prior  the  reveal  of  the  “Porotype virus” Because  I  talked  to  Cam  recently  about  G /  Project  W  &  we  came  to  conclude  that  project  W  was  kinda  like  a  weird  last  minute  lore  change  according  to  us  bc  our  brains  are  big  &  it  really  made  a  lot  of  aspects  of  Umbrella  &  the  research  going  on  within  the  company  irrelevant/unnecessary  &  that  just  feels  weird  to  us   in  the  grand  scheme  of  things.  There  is  still  very  little   known  info  on  the  “Wesker / prototype  virus”  where  it  come  from,  who  developed  it,  ect,  which  just  adds  to  the  oddity  of  this  in  canon.  This  is  a  big  canon  divergent  thought  post  for  me  &  the  workings  of  G.  Dont  worry,  this  doesn’t  have  to  be  followed  by  anyone  else  cos  its  just  an  old  theory  I  stick  to !  Again  this  is  mostly  cos  Cam  ( @infxction​ )  &  I talked  about  it  being  a  thing.  This  is  my  theories  on  the  lore  of  Resident  Evil  prior  to  re5  not  canon  to  RE  in  2021.  
So  going  back  before  Project  W  became  a  thing  canon  was  doing,  it  seemed  to  be  heavily  suggested  Wesker  was  a  functional  “G  human.”  Why  you  ask ?  Wesker  showed  every  ideal  property  associated  with  what  G  was  suppose  to  be  able  to  achieve.  I.e  it  was  meant  to  create  a  super  human  or  a  “G  human”,  a  human  being  who  was  exceptional  among  others  with  ideal  traits  being  anti-aging  properties  &  advanced  regenerative  properties.  The  Resident  Evil   answer  to  Captain  America,  in  a  sense.  This  was  the  ideal  outcome  of  G   &  what  is  suppose  to  happen  when  a  human  properly  merged  /  stabilised  with  G. Not  to  be  confused  with  a  G  mutant,  which  is  the  imperfect  result.  In  this  scenario  the  G  virus  doesn’t  properly  merge  with  the  human  host  for  whatever  reason.  The  most  obvious  example  we  have  of  this  is  William’s  unfortunate  canon.  In  William’s  case   this  could  have  been  due  to  his  severe  injuries  /  near  death  state  upon  injection,  causing  G  to  instead  mutate  /  become  overactive  in  desperate  attempts  to  repair  its  host,  rather  than  properly  merging  with  said  host.  
It  is  interesting  to  note  however  that  William  is  exceptional  as  a  G  mutant  “canonly”  because  despite  the  undesirable  mutations,  William  held  on  to  his  intelligence  &  linguistic  abilities  for  WEEKS*  after  being  infected & mutated.  Its  noted  in  research  notes  in  the  remake  that  the  handful  of   test  subjects  who  were  infected  with  G  were  unable  to  retain  intelligence  or  linguistic  abilities.  The  longest  recorded  case  of  a  subject  being  able  to  hold  on  to  their  humanity  was  a  few  days.*
HOWEVER,  if  I’m  not  mistaken  these  titbits  were  exclusive  to  the  Remake  &  not  found  in  the  original.  I’m  pretty  sure  these  test  subjects  didn’t  exist  in  the  original.  Like,  I’m  pretty  sure  the  whole  thing  with  the  orphanage  was  remake  exclusive  so  I  also  wanna  note  that  said  test  subjects  were  in  fact  kids  from  the  orphanage,  which  could  also  serve  to  explain  why  the  results  of  their  infection  were  not  remarkable.  Children  are  still  developing  right ? Its  possible  the  reason  G  mutated  them  is  because  its  hosts  weren’t  fully  developed,  destabilising  G’s  ability  to  fuse  with  the  host.
Which  of  course  is  all  entirely  my  own  theory  /  speculation  if  I’m  left  to  make  sense  of  why  G,  something  that  was  promoted  as  being  able  to  do  remarkable  things  to  the  human  body,  had  such  unremarkable  results  on  all  its  test  subjects.  Like,  wouldn’t  this  work  AGAINST  the  research  being  done  on  G.  If  every  single  time  they  tested  this  thing  out  it  resulted  in  failure ? This  makes  everything  G  was  promoted  to  do  a  fuckin  fantasy  which  is  you  know,  not  good  science,  hence  my  beef  with  the  Remake  &  the  later  RE titles  after  like,  Resi4.
Because  AGAIN  this  wasn’t  a  thing  until  the  remake.  The  introduction  of  the  orphanage  & the  child  experiments  are  remake  exclusive.  I  once  made  a  post  saying  I  didn’t  like  the  addition  of  the  child  test  subjects  in  the  remake  &  because  I  didn’t  write  a  post  this  big  to  elaborate  on  why  folks  assumed  it  was  because  I  was  trying  to  de-evilize  William & Annette’s  research  but  nah  I’m  just  an  old  school  stan  &   most  importantly  it  doesn’t  really  make  sense  as  explained,  * unless  I  make  sense  of  it  my  own  self  by  inserting  my  own  personal  headcanon.  Get  good  resident  evil  lore !! 
So  going  back  to  the  original  I  don’t  believe  it  mentions  any  substantial  human  test  subjects  for  G,  beside  Lisa  Trevor.  ( It  should  be  noted  that  as  far  as  the  original  re/umbrella  lore  is  concerned  there  were  very  few  human  test  subjects  in  existence  despite  the  length  of  time  &  depth  of  research  conducted  on  the  virus(es).  Which  meant  a  lot  of  capabilities  for  these  Viruses  were  theory  based,  not  practise  based.  Because  even  though  Umbrella  was  an  evil  shit  hole  that  WAS  carrying  out  human  experimentation  it  wasn’t  being  done  to  the  extent  or  mass  as  some  might  assume.  Test  subjects  were  few  &  far  between  &  successful  products  of  experiments  were  cloned,  such  as  the  hunters  & tyrants *. The  remake  changed  this  a  bit  by  introducing  the  orphanage   &  bolstering  up  the  number  of  accessible  human  subjects  Umbrella  had  at  its  disposal ) Anyway,  Lisa  Trevor  is  all  important  to  G  because  within  Lisa  is  where  G  was  discovered  &  most,  if  not  all,  of  G’s  capabilities  are  based  on  what  it  did  for  Lisa.  So  rewinding  to  Lisa  for  a  second...  Lisa  was  one  of Umbrella’s  original  human  test  subjects.  They  tested  basically  everything  on  her  &  she  was  remarkable  because  she  alone  did  not  die  in  spite  of  the  extent  of  the  experiments  done  to  her.  Originally  they  tested  the  Progenitor  virus  on  her  which  typically  resulted  in  brain  damage  as  was  common  of  the  Progenitor  virus  ( a  trait  that  carried  over  into  the  T  virus ),  reducing  her  mental  capacity  to  an  extreme  degree.
William  had  started  experimenting  on  her  when  he  was  introduced  to  her  at  16.  At  this  time  she  was  25,  had  already  undergone  extensive  experimentation  &  wasn’t  very  functioning  as  a  human. Though  she  just  wouldn’t  die.  Eventually,  by  the  time  he  picked  up  experimenting  on  her  some  years  later,  she  was  pretty  much  unable  to  even  walk  by  herself  her  mental  functions  were  so  low.  HOWEVER  that's  where  the  big  break  through  comes.  William  injected  her  with  an  NE-type  parasite  (The  thing  responsible  for  Nemesis,  that  was  being  produced  to  try  &  combat  some  of  the  mental  degradation  caused  by  the  T-virus )  &  though  the  parasite  completely  disappeared  from  her  body,  Lisa  began  to  regain  brain  function.  She  became  mobile  again  & her  brain  damage  was  repaired  to  such  an  extent  she  began  to  speak  again  (though  not  well,  it  was  still  a  massive  thing!)   So  what  caused  all  this  in  Lisa ?  G.  Or  an  early  version  of  it.  It  had  incubated  in  her  largely  dormant  body  for  years  &  became  its  own  thing,  something  that  was  protecting  her,  giving  her  an  advanced  immune  system  &  regenerating  her.  It  accounts  for  why  Lisa  had  been  so  impossible  to  actually  kill.  Why  she  kept  living  in  spite  of  everything.  When  the  NE  parasite  entered  her  body,  G  fully  activated  went  on  the  defensive   &  absorbed  the  parasite.  This  meant  that  Lisa  was  left  largely  unaffected  by  the  parasite &   the  only  side  effects  had  been  positive (ie,  restoration  of  her  mental  ability).  Beside  a  few  retractable  tentacles  which  were  common  influences  of  the  NE  parasite,  Lisa  was  also  largely  unmutated  beyond  what  had  already  been  typical  of  her.   Unfortunately  though  the  improvement  of  Lisa’s  brain  functions  made  her  insanely  dangerous,  coupling  this  with  her  super  human  strength,  Umbrella  made  the  decision  to  have  her  disposed  of.  Fortunately  for  William  though  he  was  already  able  to  isolate  “G”  from  Lisa’s  body,  pitched  it  to  Spencer  highlighting  its  incredible  properties  for  promoting  literal  super  humanhood  &   wham.  The  NEST  was  made,  William  was  inserted  as  founder/chief  researcher  of  G. So  why  was  Spencer  interested  in  G  as  an  eugenics  thing,  as  the  Birkin’s  were  largely  focused  on,  as  opposed  to  a  bio  weapon,  if  he  already  had  a  working  super human  serum  floating  around  &  what  THE  FUCK  was  was  William  doing  with  it  lmao.
The  only  explanation  I  have  is  that  Spencer  took  interest  in  G  due  to  the  hyper  selectivity  of  the  prototype  virus  but  that  still  leaves  a  lot  of  loose  ends,  imo.  Like  why  would  William  have  this  Prototype  Virus  &  like  the  whole  little-to-nothing  about  the  prototype  virus  being  explained  at  all.  Its  just..  There.  Works  on  Weskers  only.  Alright.
It  also  makes  things  weird  for  G  because  its  so  conflicting.  One  minute  G  is  a  finished  product  &  the  finish  product  is  supposed  to  basically  make  better  Steve  Rogerses,  but  yet  G  is  NEVER  shown  making  functioning  G-humans  &  only  ever  G-mutants  which  makes  it  flawed  &  makes  you  wonder  why  two  incredibly  smart  people  like  William  &  Annette  were  obsessed  with  it  & still  promoting  its  eugenic  properties.  They  TRULY  BELIEVED  it  was  able  to  create  G-humans  but  why  would  they  if  every  time  they  experimented  with  it  it  failed ?  Why  would  they  call  it  complete  if  it  was  still  not  living  up  to  its  expectations ?  
G  is  also  NEVER  utilised  this  way  in  the  series  again.  Even  with  Annette  &  William  out  of  the  picture  I’m  suppose  to  believe  no  one  else  was  ever  interested  in  using  G  to  “advance”  the  human  race  by  combatting  illness/disease/old  age.  No  one  else  ever  thought  to  capitalise  on  these  properties ?  Even  if  G  WASNT  complete  why  does  RE  want  me  to  believe  no  one  else  out  there  couldn’t  have  continued  research  &  completed  it  ? Especially  when  they  had  Sherry,  who,  though  she  was  technically  an  incomplete  G-human,  she  possessed  the  main  desired  components  of  a  G-human  &  that  being  her  anti-aging  properties   &  highly  advanced  regenerative  properties.  The  only  reason  I  can  think  for  this,  basing  on  my  own  thoughts  here  is  that  maybe  because  G  was  rendered  Impure  after  the  Raccoon  city  (Ie,  all  the  pure  G  samples  were  destroyed  &  the  only  sample  of  G  left  was  the  mutated  sample  from  William’s  remains  or  the  “incomplete”/muted  sample  from  Sherry.  But  still,  I  think  it  could  have  been  reproduced. But  I  digress,  putting  aside  all  those  questions &  going  back  to  the  original  implications  of  the  old  games,  we’re  gonna  function  with  the  idea  that  G  was  complete   &  G  was  what  Wesker  actually  infected  himself  with.  Hence  why  William  was  in  possession  of  it. More  evidence  that  backs  this  up  is  the  fact  that  if  you  search  Wesker’s  “body”  you’ll  find  on  him  one  of  William’s  research  notes,  which  is  basically  talking  about  his  findings  with  G  /  hopes  for  G.  (what  it  actually  says  depends  on  translation,  but  that's  the  gist)
Theres  also  the  fact  the  only  sign  of  mutation  in  Wesker  was  his  eyes. Which  just  so  happen  to  be  a  direct  match  to  G-mutant  eyes,  especially  in  the  original  reeditions  of  them.
So  I  already  know  this  is  probably  gonna  seem  a  little  crack  headed  to  some  regardless  to  how  I  explain  it  & it  totally  is  for  what  we  know  as  canon  now,  but  it  worked  COMPLETELY  for   what  was  canon  prior  to  the  remakes  /  later  stage  games.  Yet  at  the  same  time  I  still  think  it  works  &  explains  things  better  than  what  canon  ultimately  went  with. To  also  cover  some  things  about  Wesker/why  he  didn’t  mutate  into  a  G-mutant:  He  injected  the  virus  a  while  before  the  mansion  incident.  Perhaps  giving  the  cells  time  to  actually  stabilise  within  his  body.  Being  impaled   &  rendered  unconscious  triggered  the  Virus  to  activate,  healing  him  completely.  Throughout  the  series  viruses  have  shown  a  tendency  to  work  differently  on  their  hosts  depending  on  whether  they’re  conscious  or  unconscious.  Typically,  unconscious  victims  have  better  /  stronger  results.  Alexia  was  able  to  tap  into  this  fact  by  injecting  herself  with  T-veronica  &  then  putting  herself  into  cyrosleep  so  the  virus  could  bond  with  her  better  over  a  slow  period  of  time. 
Why  did  Sherry  show  signs  of  mutation  previous  to  being  vaccinated ?  To  me  thats  one  of  G’s  flaws.  William  wasn’t  a  G  human,  he  was  a  G  mutant.  Its  a  fact  that  G  is  more  affective  on  hosts  who  are  a  genetic  match  to  the  original  G  host,  which  kinda  makes  sense  if  you  think  about  it  in  a  way  like,  when  preforming  blood  transfusions  you  cant  just  use  any  blood,  it  has  to  match  the  original  body,  G  seems  to  have  similar  properties  in  the  fact  that  in  order  to  be  successful  in  spreading  it  needs  a  similar  genetic  make  up  to  its  original  host.  
Sherry's  signs  of  mutation  could  have  been  simply  because  William,  a  G  mutant  was  her  source  of  infection,  not  a  pure  sample  of  G.  Point  being  that  G’s  “reproductive”  capabilities  are  not  flawless  &  that  is  the  big  flaw  of  G  beside  the  fact  that  it  has  the  capability  to  produce  a  G  mutant  in  the  first  place.  That  mutant  version  of  it  that  exists  when  the  virus  cant  correctly  fuse  on  a  cellular  level  with  its  host  is  very  limited  in  its  ability  to  spread.   Sure,  it  can  parasitize  other  humans, &  produce  other  G  mutants  but  these  are  more  flawed  than  the  G  mutant  that  came  before  them  because  unless  their  genetic  make  up  is  similar  to  the  original  these  second  generation  G  mutants  are  already  defected   &  their  own  offspring  are  entirely  infertile.  One  of  the  big  differences  in  a  G & T  is  that  T’s  able  to  spread  through  direct  fluidic transmission, ( commonly  scratches  &  bites )  & this  is  an  extremely  effective  &   fast  way  to  spread  itself  which  is  why  T  was  such  a  successful  bioweapon,  it  does  massive  damage  really  fast.  G  doesn’t  spread  this  way,  but  rather  through  asexual  reproduction.  The  flaw  with  T  is  that  its  easily  perishable  &  causes  brain  damage  in  its  hosts.  Therefore  controlling  it  was  hard/impossible.  Destroying  the  head  of  a  T  infected  host  kills  it  &  it  doesn’t  mutate  past  a  certain  point  meaning  it  can  also  be  damaged  to  the  point  of  death  fairly  quickly.  G  was  different  in  the  fact  that  though  it  doesn’t  have  the  rapid  spread  rate  of  T,  its  a  lot  harder  to  kill  because  it  keeps  mutating  &  repairing  almost  any  damage  done  to  its  host.  You  can  smash  a  G-mutants  head  & like...  It’ll  grow  another  one  rather  than  die,  lol.  Its  also  extremely  smart  &  uses  its  hosts  intelligence,  rather  than  destroys  it.  That  gave  it  good  capabilities  as  an  advanced  bioweapon  but  again,  the  Birkin’s  ultimate   &   preferred  intentions  weren't  really  to  weaponize  it  as  such. Therefore  it  all  makes  a  lot  more  sense  for  Wesker  to  have  originally  been  a  G-human  &  all  the  protoype  virus  bs  being  introduced  in  the  later  stage  games  (5-onward)  felt  really  weird.  &  IMO,  to  this  day,  its  still  better  explained  by  using  G  instead  of  brining  in  the  random  existence  of  a  “porotype”  virus.  The  stuff  with  the  Wesker  children  doesn’t  necessarily  have  to  be  removed  but  this  random  virus  that  causes  super humanity  for  a  select  few  that  apparently  Spencer  always  had  at  his  disposal  from  a  completely  unknown  origin  is  really  off  &  is  glaring  example  of  really  shitty  writing.  Also.  just  gonna  add  this;  Canons  idea  was  that  William  gave  Wesker  the  Prototype  Virus  &  convinced  him  to  use  it  some  how  but  again  this  is  odd  that  William  would  just  pass  it  on  to  Wesker  without  wanting  to  know  more  about  it  himself  /  it  relies  on  the  idea  that  Wesker  would  just  shoot  up  with  a  TOTALLY  random  virus  that  no  one  knew  anything  about.  Like  we  could  say  Wesker  just  trusted  William  to  that  extent  &  believe  that  hey  because  it  came  from  Birkin  it  must  be  good. But  thats  also  kind  of  ridiculous  no  matter  how  close  the  two  of  them  were.  Wesker  was  intimately  familiar  with  these  viruses  &  Umrbella’s  research,  I  believe  he’d  trust  William’s  word  on  it  but  ONLY  if  William’s  word  was  coming  from  solid  research  like  that  he  was  doing  on  the  G  virus.  Not... Hey  buddy  here's  a  random  virus  that  no  one  knows  anything  about  feel  free  to  use  it  on  yourself.  William  wouldn’t  even  give  Wesker  something  like  that  under  those  premises  either.  Again,  we’re  talking  about  two  highly  intelligent  individuals  who  were  in  fact  trusted  friends,  who  were  very  conscious  of  Umbrella’s  betrayals.  The  canon  is  unbelievably  reckless  for  the  both  of  them  &  adds  to  the  lack  of  sense  it  truly  makes.  Anyways  I  think  I’ve  talked  enough  so  I’m  gonna  end  this  here.  If  you  made  it  this  far  congratulations !!  Thank  you  for  entertaining  my  BS,  even  if  only  temporarily.

My male Surana (a blood mage) ended up being a lot more fun to play than I was anticipating, namely because it was the first time I'd romanced Zevran. 
I'd love to read something about how Alim doesn't think he's capable of being someone's romantic partner because of his specialization - he's very withdrawn and serious, and comes off as cold most of the time. It was Uldred who taught him how to use blood magic, but to keep its addictive nature in check, Alim has learned to shut down his emotions so he doesn't get carried away and hurt someone. He's very principled that way - he only uses his own blood or that of someone who has given their explicit consent. 
I'd like to see how their relationship could get started during Origins - Alim is aware that he's attracted to Zev, but has no idea how to deal with it, and of course Zev is extremely perceptive and helpful in that regard :D 
Also, random detail that might not matter - my Surana is bald? It's a practicality thing - he shaves his head bc he often uses fire spells and hair is not enchantable. 
As canon-compliant as possible, T or M rating, a little bit of angst is okay so long as it ends happy, and tasteful smut is welcome, but I'd just really love some fluff for these two! See the attached letter for other stuff I like!

I saw a discussion thread a few months ago about whether the woman Quentin was trying to recreate in All That Remains in DA2 could be Revka Amell, and my brain just exploded. 
Because what if it was Quentin and Revka's affair (not Leandra and Malcolm's) that kickstarted the Amells' downfall? What kind of person could Quentin have been before becoming a murderer? What could have pushed Revka, a noblewoman, towards an apostate? And perhaps most importantly - how could their affair have ended such that nearly two decades later, Quentin becomes obsessed with rebuilding her? 
Bonus: What if Quentin is Warden Amell's father? What if Warden Amell survives the events of Origins, finds their way back to Kirkwall with all that's left of the Amell family, and is with Hawke when they finally confront Quentin, who instantly recognizes them as Revka's child? 
M rating preferred but given the subject matter, E would be alright so long as it doesn't violate the DNW's. Canon compliant or divergent. Suuuper angst fest with big emotion. ugggh sweet maker, this pairing - it hit me like a ton of bricks the first time I'd considered it - the sheer amount of angst potential here is just off the frigging charts.
Things I would love for these two: A past childhood friendship, maybe crushes? Cousland romances Alistair and straight-up refuses Morrigan's ritual, so Alistair dies killing the Archdemon. Crazy tension, poorly-concealed attraction, and a terrible working relationship in Awakening leading to borderline hate sex.
