⠀Ашрам Махариши Махеши Йоги более известен как Ашрам Битлз. Известность он получил благодаря тому, что в 1968 году здесь жили члены ливерпульской четверки, увлекшиеся Трасцедентной медитацией и учением Махариши. Находясь в Ашраме музыканты написали более 40 песен, многие из которых вошли в «White album». Но что-то пошло не так и вскоре Битлы по непонятным причинам покидают ашрам, поругавшись с Гуру. Была ли причина в личных отношениях, деньгах или же быт в ашраме оказался слишком тяжел для музыкантов, мы теперь врядли узнаем. ⠀Что же происходило дальше, история умалчивает, но в 1984 году власти приняли решения закрыть ашрам, так как в это одухотворенное место проник разврат (алкоголь, наркотики). Земли с постройками были переданы национальному заповеднику, а сам Гуру Махариши уехал в США. ⠀Сейчас ашрам в запустении.
