Midnight teaches advanced algebra to cats, you'll be fine. She'll conjure up a fractal for you, color each part of the equation, show how each part interacts and what it looks like when you change it

She'll take you out to the beach and explain the wind and the tide, compare them to each axis on the formula she showed you, and modify one factor. The wind dies down and the sea becomes as smooth as glass.

i think love is like catching fireflies. you have to get out there and wander in the dark until find what you were looking for. you have to be gentle with it. if you try to keep it bottled up or force it to stay in your hands, it dies or flees in fear. but you can guide it and hold it close without hurting it. it might not always be there but it does always come back. and it glows

yeah. yeah. oh man. like we have a story that prioritises relationships that aren't shown to us as romantic just as highly as the relationships that are, and we have parker who regardless of how you interpret her can be read as a-spec and loved and supported by the people around her and that's great, and we have a happy ending that says "actually, our tough guy (who doesn't seem to settle down with anyone romantically, though we see him date) would be most fulfilled with hardison and with parker, with no explicit romance, but with a lifelong promise of mutual devotion."

(it's a very important thing to me that the story works like that, with parker+eliot+hardison being totally platonic. I love other readings. I do. but what we were given, viewed through the least shippy goggles available, works. and it packs a hell of a punch.)

and listen, I've said it before but "my nana used to say that what's normal is whatever works for you" is such a beautiful sentiment to be applied to SO many things (gender, neurodiversity, queerness, polyamory, queerplatonic relationships, choosing a life of crime instead of a 'proper' career, etc), and it is lovely.

#people always tend to make monsters into really young and androgynous characters #which can work #but when it's a guardian stalker or a Lynel or whatever they shouldn't be.... do what you want but Idk #personally i think we shouldn't be so scared to turn monsters into older and scarred people who don't look like pinterest models #you do you but im putting in conscious efforts to make my human versions of non-human stuff and creechers™ look MESSDD UP man #or just not.... Airbrushed #pleasw #I'm begging you #add scars and marks to your characters in places other than the eye or cheek #not everyone's scars are going to look like that #scars are beautiful anyway #you're doing yourself a disservice not drawing them #Anywya im not trying to target anyone I just have. Starting a little collection of times when Rose says/does something cute and silly and you can literally see the hearts coming out of Blanche and Dorothy

#was tempted to add dorothy entering the room behind rose in that first one bc her smile is just so precious <3 #but it works better like this overall i feel #the second one is technically cheating bc dorothy is happy about having sophia's box again. but i will count it because this is MY gifset #and i get to decide what goes in it <3 #blanche asking 'did you really know that rose?' in the third set is so precious to me <3 #as is dorothy saying 'welcome back sweetheart' in the fourth set <3 #and rose is always adorable ofc. her face when she rescues fernando is everything to me <3 just look at her!!!#fernando's subplot was sincerely top notch! one of my favourite b-plots!! it's simply too sweet #i still haven't figured out how to use the sharpen tool on photoshop :') so my primary goal for this set was missed i'm afraid #i did have fun choosing the moments and making them tho so i'm counting this as an overall success #and besides any time spent staring at these beautiful ladies is time well spent in my book #they <333 #the golden girls #golden wives #feel free to suggest any additions to this collection btw!! i'd love to have others

i am being silly.......cause why am i getting visions for lover boy chapters being "colour coded"

#LIKE IN A VERY ABSTRACT THEMATIC WAY THAT I COULD NEVER EXPLAIN #in my head find a lover the beautiful first chapter has always been red #ive had this flashback from chapter two rotating in my head that's at sunset so its very Orange #which pairs with a fictive present scene that has a very specific Orange Sunset description #so i was like woahhh chapter 2 kind of giving orange tinted....wait thats fun its like a gradient from chapter 1 #and oh the word gradient set something off in me.#who knows because like what is chapter 3 going to be? yellow?? pink??#i'd say the lover boy palette is red/orange/pink. maybe some yellow for sunlight #because it is so golden hour book #i dont know if i will actually do this but it says a lot of my writing process that chapter 1 being “red” and chapter 2 being “orange”#has made the way these chapters work together make a lot more sense to me LOL
