Belita, the little beauty, is a ballet dancing student who thinks highly of herself. She has no problem with stepping on people to get one she wants. She's very two faced and thinks of herself as a princess among peasants. Her obsession is individuality and perfection in both image and performance. Expect her to being nasty and ugly in private, but put up a delicate crying face to the public. Expect her to have other people do her work and bullying for her instead of getting her hands dirty. It would ruin her reputation.

omg that's so funny kjdjkjkjkkjkj like imagine 8yo Belita drawing a bunch of circles and lines to explain all the generations of incst babies 😂 her teacher thinks she's a bit confused, because the family is so big and everyone lives together, cousins are raised as siblings and aunts and uncles play a huge role as pseudo-parents so she probably got the assignment a bit mixed up. Once her siblings and cousins start drawig the exact same patters though, things get a little more complicated 😂

Fugitive crook Johnny Muller (Paul Henreid) finds the perfect hiding place—in the guise of a psychiatrist who is his identical twin ... almost. One of the sublime examples of noir fatalism with a clever script that will keep you guessing right up until the end. It's also an amazingly evocative look at 1940s Los Angeles, photographed by the great John Alton. This was the first film produced by romantic leading man Henreid, who like many actors in the late 1940s turned to crime dramas to revitalize their careers. Co-starring Joan Bennett at her flinty best.
