It seems harsh, but I think I watch Rikara only because of ShreNal's acting and good looks, otherwise I would have given up long ago, 'cos there's not much by way of a story. Even today, in the tea stall scene, when Omkie just gets up and leaves, and Gauri is left feeling hurt and insulted (?), Shrenu's acting was so flawless, that I felt like getting inside me laptop and comforting Gauri. Like Shrenu's expression conveyed Gauri's pain so acutely. What do you think?

Personally I have been liking the story they are getting ever since Omkara got back from Germany. Sure, it’s SUPER slow burn but at least it makes sense. I do miss them not having the tharki romantic scenes which other couples in the show get (even if the situation does not call for it) but on the whole I am okay with it. Doesn’t stop me from screaming, “NOW KISSSS!!!” whenever RiKara share a frame but i’m only human!!

What made the scene for me personally was the immediate regret/guilt/shit-i-screwed-up expression that came over Omkara’s face the SECOND he denied the man’s claim of RiKara being married. It was a short scene but i LOVED how it literally patkaoed them on the zameen. This was their wake up moment. And it reiterated the point that I believe CVs are going on with RiKara that all the progress doesn’t matter because sometimes “benaam rishta” isn’t as romantic as the stories make it out to be. Say the words. Name your relationship. Don’t waste time waiting for the right moment to profess your feelings because there is no right time. The more you wait the more you lose out of the chance of living some glorious moments together.

Gauri was anyway hanging by a thin thread when it came to Omkara before they embarked on this journey. The things they went through made her think that she is finding her solid ground but it took one moment for her to be back at where she was the beginning - unsure and nowhere. Her patience was already running low and now it would be lower. I’m excited to see how she treats Omkara from now on. Cuz before they left, Gauri wasn’t shying away from serving shade at Omkara’s attempt of being friendly with her. Now she has more reason to do that. Whereas Omkara..he progressed. He not once but twice prioritized Gauri over his family heirloom. He confessed to losing his mind at the prospect of seeing her hurt. He lowkey accepted the Shiv-Parvati parallels that were drawn for them.He thanked her for saving her life. He promised her that he wouldn’t ever let anything happen to her.

Omkara Singh Oberoi, in these days away from OM, already indirectly told Gauri Kumari Sharma that she has become an irreplaceable part of his life that he can’t bear to part from.

RiKara’s roles have reversed. Before it was Gauri who used to cry at the prospect of leaving Omkara. Now it’s Omkara who can’t live with the idea of being apart from Gauri. I’d very much like to see how long can Omkara go on living with this sword that Gauri swings around his neck that would fall on him the moment she announces, “I’m done.” GAAH! There’s some glorious angst going on around here and I’m ALL here for it.

BECAUSE HAVE YOU SEEN SHRENAL?! HAVE YOU SEEN HOW THEIR FACES WORK!!? HAVE YOU SEEN THE WAY THEIR EYES SPEAK VOLUMES WHILE THEIR MOUTHS ARE SEALED SHUT?! Because I have and because of THEM and their sheer ability to make silence speak that I am super involved in this Mother of All Desi Slow Burn relationships!

Dear Mais, what's your take on yesterday's episode? Though there was no proper progress in any of the three relationships, the episode was still fun, except Bhavya :P I'm so glad that cvs remembered that Gauri used to tailor clothes for idols back in Bareilly; they seem to forget so much else (like the tracker still embedded in her neck). What do you think will happen next with the entry of Gauri's mom in the OM?

I’M LOVINGGGG the awkwardness that has settled between RiKara. The MOMENT they get conscious of each other..they become all silent and awkward. There’s so much they can do without giving those actions and their relationship meaning in words. Be it yesterday’s hand flexing moment (TT aptly pointed out the P&P reference here) or today’s pseudo Palat moment when Omkara turned to look at Gauri but she wasn’t looking at him anymore. There was something so...beautiful about the shot when they both walked away from each other. LEGIT! They are ONE conversation away from settling into a comfortable relationship but ek WOHI baat nahin cherh rahe ye dono!!

I totally appreciate what CVs are doing with their relationship. There’s no “hamari beech ka jo unkaha eshaas hai” or “hamara benaam rishta” with them. The entire issue is Omkara’s reluctance to name their relationship something proper and Gauri having no interest in being stuck in the zone of having a nameless bond. All of that is really beautiful but it’s not part of the real world. Gauri’s philosophy of love is very sufi with the whole “hum unse prem karte hain ye hamara bhagya” and all but she IS a practical girl. She is more than happy to carry on her sufi ishq but when she’s all on her own. She doesn’t want to be in a worldly relationship with a man and not have the proper rights/security of it. Gauri isn’t demanding love from Omkara, she’s just asking for clarity. Sure, her heart is leaping towards Omkara because he’s being so gentle with her. Specially today...she practically melted on the spot watching Omkara deal with her mother with SOOO much respect. And how earnest he was when he said all mothers are meant to be respected so her fear that he’d disrespect her mother was all wrong. But all of these mean nothing to her unless he tells her what SHE, as an individual, mean to him.

As for what MAAAAAAAAAAA’s presence means for them toh I’m hoping she’d provide Omkara the truth about Bareilly. Otherwise everything is pretty normal with her. Jhanvi already met her and was chilled with her. Omkara won her over with his obedient self and put all of Gauri’s fears to rest. Maybe MAAAAAAAAAAAAA will overhear Gauri confronting Omkara about clearing her position in the house and she’d want to take Gauri with her to Bareilly, prompting Omkie to FINALLY ask Gauri to stay back as his wife?
