Thinking about posting my draft of CH1 of The Shady Kid From the Alleyway once I finish checking it for typos

Its more Tommy-centric than I've made it sound, because he's the main character, and It's first and foremost an SBI fic but God damn if I didn't put hella Benchtrio and TNTduo in there

Also the povs jump around alot so it might be hella confusing

Because Wilbur and Quackity have a giant arc that kinda defines the whole fic

But Tommy isn't aware of it until it's like halfway through.

So I made what I call "Interlude" chapters where I talk about Quackity's plot and just ignore the main plot.

Also I put Dream in it as a villain and I'm pulling no punches. This is a Dream bashing fic.

Its also a LOT darker than I expected so stick with me.

Tommy is an angsty avian boi who hates heroes and is obsessed with out main villain Dream, but Phil looks at civilian Tommy and goes, "yes, I would like that one, thank you" but Tom being the spiteful man that he is is just like: "no! You killed my father" "no, Tommy, I AM your father." "Noooohh wait, this is actually pretty nice."

Feral Bastards and Evil Gods both caught my attention (for the WIP ask meme)

of course they did XD

These both actually have things posted for them!

Feral Bastards is the working title of my fic series hold me softly (kill me softer) which is a Dream/Technoblade-centric DSMP AU. It's a hero/villain enemies-to-friends-to-lovers starcrossed-lovers fantasy AU thing. There's four works out currently and quite a bit written but not posted; I have the whole arc of the plot mapped out, there's just a lot of actual technical writing to do. If you like deeply explored fictional cosmology and religion, court politics, and idiots being in love without realizing it, then stay tuned! There's a lot more to come.

A snippet from a future Feral Bastards fic (apologies if I've already posted this):

"The temple of the Blood God is an ugly thing.

Oh sure, it’s objectively beautiful. Gilded marble columns and thick crimson tapestries with detailed embroidery. Towering pale stone walls and looming stained glass windows and frightening multi-colored bonfires. Smooth obsidian floors polished to a mirror sheen, reflecting back the world in dark and twisted tones. The whole place reeks of riches and opulence and dominance.

It also reeks of death and war and torment.

Subjectively it is the worst place Dream has ever been to. There is not a shred of living things in the temple or the surrounding area; nothing vibrant and natural and growing. No trees or flowers or grass, just cold stone and hot metal and sleek fabric. The prizes of war are on full display here – gold and jewels, well-oiled weapons, taxidermied beasts and . . . people. Dream shivers under the watchful eyes of the dead."

Evil Gods is the working title for my now-dubbed Water AU, the main fic of which is secrets like seashells under your tongue, of which there is a chapter up and posted. Again, there is a lot of this AU that's already outlined / plotted out, but there is a bulk of writing that still needs to be done. When that happens will be . . . someday! Bit by bit! But slowly and surely we will get there. This one is a lot more beeduo and benchtrio-centric, with again, lots of fictional gods and goddesses and worldbuilding surrounding that. I also do some fun things with magic and Minecraft mechanics and spies / assassins / espionage in this one! And marine biology. Listen, I pretty much took all my niche interests and hyperfixations and squished them all into one story. It's fun.

A snippet from a future part of Water AU:

"Tubbo was going to get so much done today, it was going to blow people's minds. He was going to sit down, get shit done, and be productive. He was going to accomplish everything on his list, and then he was going to make a new list, and then he was going to get everything on that list done, too. He was going to-

"OW, FUCK, SHIT!" Tubbo yells.

He's gone sprawled across the floor, shin smarting from catching on whatever the hell he's tripped over. Seriously, who leaves stuff out in the lab? Tubbo is going to blame Jack. Tubbo rubs his chin where it's bruised from his date with the floor and glares back at the offending tripping hazard. Then he's scrambling back up to his feet.

"Holy shit, holy shit, why is there a body in my lab!?" Tubbo turns the body over, and it groans.

Tubbo reels back, but the guy doesn't move. Doesn't seem conscious, really - his eyes are closed and his face is pale and sweaty and his pale blonde hair is sticking to him like strings of taffy. There's also the strange embalming-fluid scent of magical decay hanging in the air, and something like ichor seeping through the guy's shirt. Tubbo glances down at his own hands and grimaces. The ichor is thick and stains like ink, but it's closer to oil or blood in texture. That's . . . absolutely not sanitary.

"Who the hell are you," Tubbo mutters.

The guy doesn't respond, so Tubbo starts rifling through his pockets. There's a concerning number of knives for a normal person (Tubbo appreciates the number of knives this guy has), a ledger full of code, a bag of diamonds and emeralds and lapis lazuli and redstone, and a bunch of potions. Other than the thick gold necklace around the guy's neck, there's nothing else of note. Oh, yeah, and the gaping hole through his chest leaking black ichor.

There's that."

no one asked for this but c!benchtrio lore hcs at 12 am

-ranboo and tubbo hate bringing tommy along with to the nether even though tommy says he'll be fine. instead tuboo decided that he could babysit michael in the meantime despite ranboo saying it would be a bad idea. tommy (very reluctantly) agrees. tommy literally does anything to avoid the kid until he finds scribbled drawings of him. ofc, tommy being tommy who loves gifts, he immediately pushes aside everything that he thought of his best friend's son before. tubbo and ranboo, which half expected to come home to the house being on fire, find the two snoring away

-when wilbur came back and tommy was trying to figure out if he was on his side, for a very brief moment he decided to have a "villain arc," which was his idea of dressing like a 2014 twenty one pilots fan. it was VERY quickly shut down after ranboo and tubbo couldn't look at him without dying of laughter

-tommy tends to sleep on the bench. he didn't mean to at first but it became a habit over time. the other two started to notice and took it to their advantage. some days they'd leave food and blankets, other days they would draw on his face

-tommy met tubbo when they were kids and were pretty much forced to stick together. tommy being created in a lab and tubbo not even knowing who his parents were stumbled upon each other and stuck together like glue. they would constantly steal things and make a home out of anywhere. tubbo tended to take books in order to teach himself unlike the other kids who could actually go to school. one of the books was about astronomy. now, tubbo would completely forget about that book years later, but for some reason is stuck in tommy's head, which resulted in tommy knowing completely random facts about space. while ranboo was heading back to do his daily visit to snowchester, he noticed tommy sitting up on the prison tower. he decided to see if everything was ok and sure enough, it wasn't. tommy was not expecting to see his "sworn enemy" up there that night, but he would realize that he was glad to see him. tommy would explain to ranboo about the whole wilbur situation, and somehow the conversation lead to him spewing what every star in the sky was and how they'd be dead if the moon was hit by an asteroid. ranboo sure enough was not expecting, tommy of all people, to know about astronomy, but he listened until tommy fell asleep

-tubbo and tommy absolutely suck at using first aid and bandages, so ranboo has to do it for them. he constantly complains about it, but in all honesty he wouldn't want to see them get hurt

-ranboo is literally just a crow. he loves collecting shiny things. tubbo will just find a random penny one day lying at the cookie outpost, and then five more the next day. ranboo specifically likes putting the trinkets in places like tubbo's mailbox and tommy's donation box. somehow no one has ever figured out that it's him

-after they saw him using his powers for the first time, the three absolutely love bothering foolish to use his lightning powers. it doesn't even matter if he can't do tricks, they get so entertained by the same lightning strike over and over

as someone who only started watching the dream smp after dream was imprisoned, i really enjoy reading your posts about him! c!dream does make me a lil uncomfy, but that's mostly because cc!dream is just... so good at making him... sinister. i watch mostly the benchtrio's streams, so i feel like it's a given that i'm not exactly fond of c!dream.

BUT, from a character/writing standpoint? c!dream is GREAT. he has so much potential, and honestly? i would enjoy a redemption arc of some sort, or at least some sort of acknowledgement that he's hurt others very badly. i also think it would be interesting to see how other characters would react to those kinds of arcs. because, let's be real, not everyone is going to accept an apology, and some might not even believe it's true.

i'm really excited to see where c!dream's story goes from here! (also sorry for the long ask lol)

i used to love him as a sinister, terrifying villain. my view of him did erase a lot of the human parts, which are why i like him so much nowadays, but i definitely enjoy that part of him as well. moral ambiguity makes everything worse, because the worst things are always trapped in the middle, not on either side of the scale.

i'm very excited as well!! happy to have you on the blog. he has so much potential, i'm rooting for redemption, but whatever cc!dream decides to do i will be extremely happy with because i just love discussing and analysing him :]

i feel like him hurting others has been acknowledged,, a lot? but as in acknowledgment from him, well, he definitely knows, but seeing him deal with that in non-destructive ways would be very cool. :D the ruthless idiot becomes morally conflicted beloved? take my money.

the dream smp as a whole story with all of the different arcs integrated is so funn i feel like people don't appreciate it enough because most say "whole" and then mean benchtrio (/lh), but seeing the interactions between the different narratives and perspectives is fascinating and i really hope we get more of that in new lore. a healing arc for c!dream would open up possibilities for such good explorations of different characters.

Vigilante trio is very good! Honestly my idea for a Spiderman au has Tubbo as the one with the powers but Tommy is the Harry Osborne type (without the villain arc), using like tech and gadgets to fight, which makes Tubbo worry because Tommy doesn't have healing powers/danger sense, but Tommy is 100% determined to help him fight anyway. It's a good dynamic I think!

I'm running out of fanfics to read and I am going to rant about it for way too long and probably recommending fics as I talk. (links on words)

That's it.

I've read so much fluff scrolling through the Tubbo & Ranboo tag AND the Tubbo / Ranboo tag (bless my soul as this tag is also home for smut, but really good fanfics hidden in the middle so yeah), like, so much of it.

And I grew bored of it. Yep. After 3 months, I'm starting to get bored. I can't handle Major Character Death and big big Angst, because at the very moment a character dies, it's all about grief and everything. I'm not solid enough for that. Like when Tubbo or Ranboo dies and the whole fanfic is after that? I read one where everything was going alright and awesome fanfic and then TUBBO DIED, I didn't notice the warning in the tags and I dropped the fic.

I read a fanfic yesterday about them coming back to the past and must I say it is very enjoyable. The thing with fluffy stories is you never get to see Tubbo act like his character, an ex-president, a soldier, someone quite powerful if I may say so. And this fic just does that. They give Tubbo charisma that I barely ever see anywhere else and now that I got it, I miss it. Or maybe I didn't really search it up enough but. Anyway. I have only praises for this fic, it's just, great, and I'll be waiting for it to update.

I didn't get into the Zombie Apocalsype AUs yet, maybe I should, but I'm really scared my favorite character end up dying because that would be ah. No. I'm dropping every fanfic where Ranboo dies.

The Vigilant AUs are very cool too, a bunch of them are too simple and the writing lacks some poetry to it and the story some passing for me to actually follow through it. I'd say most fanfics are too simple for my taste, the writing too blunt and too quick. "He does that. Then says that. Then does that." It doesn't have flavor, you know? I've read dozens of the same fanfic, I pretty much know what's going to happen.

That's why original ideas are something that I really enjoy. A piece of new, something fresh, a new concept.

The series where Ranboo is a ghost may be the one I am really intrigued into. I didn't think it would be that much Angst, but the fact that we're following Ranboo's ghost point of view help me stomach the fact that he's dead. It's just so, so, so intriguing. I really wish to see the rest of the story. I need to know what happened to Ranboo. I read it twice and it messed me up a little for a whole day.

Vigilant AU's as I say, are very similar to each other and quite enjoyable. I read too many to recommend any in particular, but I love when there is a twist and the passing is quite slow. In this particular AU the BenchTrio oftentimes gets adopted/outed way too quickly to my liking or are way too Tommy-centric to my liking. Dirty Crime Boys is a really good exemple, and that was the first one I read back in early July and one of the few I actually remember and do not confuse with others. Didn't feel too rushed. In a similar vein, this fic is a goldmine. It is painfully slow, the passing is incredibly slow and it is awesome. Everything is described to T but isn't useless either. You feel connected to the character and everything is clear and I need more.

And they are Human Experimentations. I have a thing for this trope, I don't know why, like I have a thing for the SCP AUs. I don't know, I've talked about it before, but Ranboo being an experimentation out of a lab? Hell yeah I'm reading. This one is one of my favorite. Ranboo is clueless, he's kinda there and confused as hell. He's able to teleport and it's a very rare thing, maybe unique and has been kidnapped and now is bonding with Tommy and Tubbo in incredible circumstances. he was in Tubbo's locker because he teleported there to hide. Best thing ever.

That leads me to my newt favorite trope, the Ranboo Monster/Criptid/SCP trope. He's tall, he's powerful, probably drops on all four to run, way too powerful, and clueless because he's been either A. not human and hasn't really interacted with them or B. has grown in fucked up situations. Like, a fighting ring. I think this is my favorite, from like, all of the fanfictions. With EnderSmile, as a treat.

Unfortunately, I cannot go fetch the ones I am not subcribed to, like one-shots, or completed fanfics, but do know that there exist a long one-shot around 14 000 words where Ranboo is an escaped SCP that just hung out by Tuboo and it's awesome.

As we are with the Endersmile subject (Dream and Ranboo if you don't know) Path of a Golden Green, which just is newly completed and I followed the story almost from the start, it's incredible. Dream hung up his mask after escaping prison and Ranboo stumbles on him not knowing it's Dream and they bond. Recommend 100%. Beautiful writing.

There's a couple fanfics that sound incredible but that I deem not enough developped for me to actually recommend, like the Beeduo being two married villains doing crime but it only has like one actual chapter about them so. But the promise is really big.

Oh! (I say, scrolling through my subcriptions looking for which ones I actually really love). This is great. Centered around enderwalking Ranboo that is quite like a clueless kitten with a really well-done development around his pearl, and very beautiful writing and descriptions of how his pearl buzz. A pearl of a fanfic, if I may say so. Plus, Beeduo. I love Beeduo. I read way too many fluffy one-shots about them to actually remember any in particular. Way too many.

I read some Ranboo adoption arc by Philza and Technoblade and this one is my favorite, because it's slow and it is really well written and described and it really feels like Ranboo is an ex-slave. It's also fluffy, and I think you're starting to understand as you read through this terrible post that I like fluff.

I also read a couple Techno & Dream fanfics, but I don't really remember any in particular.

So I'm starting to think I should start reading actual Angst, because I'd really like to see charismatic characters doing cool things now. Like murder. I need to find a fanfic where Techno goes on a rampage. Just for the sake of it.

There was this one-shot where Ranboo was enderwalking (somewhere in the enderwalking ranboo tag before June, maybe May or April) and crept on Tubbo around all the mansion and ended up killing Micheal then him, and that was a blast. Terrifying, but absolutely awesome.

I think I love reading a tad too much. Man, I really wish every fanfic was as well-written as the ones I'm recommending. Too many have a cruel lack a passing, everything goes too fast, it lacks emotions, it lacks poetry. I'm never going to blame writers for writing because it's super cool, experienced or not, but man. Good writing is a real treat when you come across one.

Alright. Angst it is now, I guess. I will try. No fluff. Charismatic characters, please.

For the ask game, 🛒, ⛔, 🙋‍♀️, 💖, 🦅, and 🤩?

🛒- one thing that i have put in both fics is alternate universes and a Narrative of some sort. I picture all of my fucs as alternate versions of cannon, where the Narrative is controlling things. It's a greater force that is trying to force the characters to mirror the events of the cannon universe and follow similar arcs. I think its a pretty cool concept. I also do chhose your own adventure endings/ alternate endings, because i love writing hearnreakung endings but hate reading them, so I want my readers to have something nice to read.

⛔️- I have scrapped about eight fics, one of which is about 50,000 words. I didnt end up liking them or lost interest in the media and just never finished them. I probably have 80,000 words of my hero academia fanfic that i never posted, and i have 5 dsmp fics that i havent posted. One is a platnoic rainduo ballet AU with some crimeboys and TNTduo that is about 15,000 words, one is a high-fantasy crimeboys AU that has about 17,000, one is a benchtrio vigilante AU that has like 22,000 words, one has sbi benchtrio rainduo (platonic) and some tntduo and it's a band/rockstar AU with about 41,000 words and one is a benchtrio movie star AU with like 12,000

I also never planned on posting a crown so heavy on the head of a child but my beta reader said she would air fry ny eyeballs if I didnt so here we are

🙋‍♀️- i have one friend who lnows i write fanfic (my beta reader) but shes not in the fandom. I love her so much and she is so fucking awesome and so great and wonderful.

💖- i have pretty much always loved writing, and have been making short stories since i was four or five. I have been writing songs since i was seven, and poems for about three years now. I have always loved it. I started writing fanfiction when I entered the my hero academia fandom, but never posted any of it because i tend to be very anxious. I started writing the fics I am working on right now because i wanted to examine the character arc of each character and how they affected them, and how the characters would have behaved without all fo the trauma. I really was so starstruck about the individuality of each bbhsmp character that i just started writing and didn’t stop. The only reason they ever got posted is because of encouragement form my mutuals and the irl friend i takked to about it.

🦅- okay, so its 50/50. I ahve a few character arcs that i knoe i'm going to put in the fic, (the quackity gets trauma arc, a few death arcs, wilbur gets trauma arc, tommy gets caught up in all of it arc, a few more death arcs, and some healing arcs) but for the kost part I just sit down on a friday or saturday afternoon and type out a few chapters that i feel like push the plot forwards. The Narrative was never supposed to exist, i sorta threw that in 30 minutes beofre posting the first chapter i mentioned it in. karl wasnt supposed to be in the fic, but i needed an opener for chapter 6, Wilbur wasn't supposed to know Tommy, the House wasn't supposed to be significant, all sorts of thing that i just sorta said "wait that would be cool as fuck" and then duct taped into the fic.

🤩- so i have about 16 chapters written in advance, and Wilbur is in the middle of a villain arc. It is so fun to write him slowly losing his grasp on reality, descending into madness. I also like writing Tubbo's POV, because he is a character i don't write from often.
