Note
Starbucks stuff with coffee snobs in Anime fic is extra weird because Japan has a VERY strong actual real coffee culture, Starbucks is trendy for sugar drinks but nobody who actually likes coffee in Japan would be caught dead in one. Japan takes coffee almost as seriously as Australia, or Italy, or Turkey. (In fact, their coffee culture borrows from all three! Australians (whose coffee culture is derived from Turkish and Italian immigrants) often say the best place for coffee internationally is Japan because they care about the beans and the roast like they should.)
--
Even out of crappy chains, when I lived in Japan years ago, I went to Seattle's Best. It's also not a bastion of coffee technology, but I liked it better than Starbucks.
When I got back to the US, the place I used to hang out was this coffee shop run by a Japanese lady that did pour-overs and served all those Japanese spaghetti variants. It was such a classic Japanese place.

Best Coffee Brands From All Over the Country
Your morning latte deserves a better bean.
While it’s hard to argue with the delicious hit of serotonin that comes from visiting your favorite coffee shop (not to mention the joy of supporting a small business), I’d say it’s still worth it to have a homemade caffeinated beverage that doesn’t require you to get high. shoes, a coat, or even pants. For many of us, that means investing in a decent pour-over and keeping a carton or two of dairy-free milk (I’m a fan of Minor Figures Barista Blend) in the fridge for frothing. To others, it may seem like a high-end espresso machine that can deliver a flawless cortado or latte (no art included). Regardless of how involved your home coffee station is, you’ll need beans, ideally the ones your barista would approve of.
intellectual cafe
Courtesy of Intelligentsia
“I first found out about Intelligentsia coffee when I bought a Christmas present for my brother — I dove deep into the good quality coffee beans and found a selection of their blends. He can confirm that it was an excellent gift, and after trying the coffee myself I can confirm that it is fantastic. Founded in 1995, Intelligentsia was a notable player in the third-wave coffee movement (essentially, a shift toward an emphasis on better-quality, better-sourced coffee). Their house blend is my favorite roast, and it’s everything I want in my first cup of coffee. It’s well balanced, not too acidic, and the standout tasting note (for me) is the milk chocolate.” — Merlyn Miller, Social Media Editor
787 coffee
“A 787 coffee shop recently opened in my neighborhood and it immediately became essential to me. (I’m not normally into novelty espresso drinks, but their horchata latte is now an integral part of my nights.) The company grows, processes, and roasts all of its beans from its coffee farms in Maricao, Puerto Rico, without the involvement of third-party distributors or roasters. In addition to being fresh, delicious, and sustainably sourced, 787 beans can now be ordered by anyone with a monthly subscription.” — María Yagoda, Senior Editor
coffee partners
“My vote goes to my Australian friends at Partners for their quality, roast, and commitment to sustainable farming and production. They source their beans from direct farm relationships and their single-origin beans are hard to beat. My favorite is El Ramo, a beautiful medium to light roast (many roasters tend to want to roast dark coffee to the center in the US, burning the roast). They roast to order and offer whatever grind you want if that’s your thing.” — Melanie Hansche, Associate Editor
Cafe Sey
“When I’m in the mood for a beautifully bright, acidic yet balanced cup of coffee, Sey is my go-to. This Nordic-style roaster not only produces amazing light roast coffee but is passionate about the sustainability of the coffee industry. Their in-season beans are packaged in beautiful, elegant boxes, each indicating both the source and the producer for complete transparency. If you can visit their Brooklyn cafe in person, I highly recommend it for good coffee, prepared right in front of you by their friendly and knowledgeable staff. For a fun at-home experience, Sey also offers a monthly coffee subscription, where you can have one to four boxes of their select seasonal beans delivered right to your door.” — Elsa Saatela, Senior Digital Producer
brio coffee
“In the heat of the miserable pandemic, but once travel was even remotely possible again, I headed to Rome to take my daughter to her first year of college there, except three weeks before I was supposed to leave, I realized that my passport had expired. . Not good! Through a total panic app, some questionable passport issuance services, and way more money than is reasonable, I ended up with a last-minute renewal appointment in St. Albans City, Vermont at 8:30 am. to put. on a Wednesday, a nifty 18 miles from the Canadian border and an even niftier seven hours drive from my Brooklyn apartment.
Do you know what you need at 8:00 am? to put. when you arrive in a small Vermont town after a seven-hour drive before dawn? Coffee. Very good coffee. And a lot.

I could see you meeting at school. Eddie has his own table in the lunchroom but you never liked the lunch room because it was really crowded and it was always noisy. So every time for lunch you would sit outside. Nobody really sat outside so it was more quiet out there. There were only a couple people studying or reading books. Eddie was leaned up against the wall smoking a cigarette. You saw him and he saw you. He noticed your t-shirt that had one of his favorite bands on it. Nirvana. He walks up to asks if your just one of those girls that wears bands shirts but doesn't actually listen to the band. You caught him off guard when you said no and named your favorite songs (that most people don't know). This was the start of your friendship that eventually turned into a relationship!

The music you were playing just happened to grab Tate's attention as he starts to make an appearance. Since it is Halloween, it is the only night that he can leave the house. He rings the doorbell and pretends to be a neighbor from across the street. He ended up hanging out with you for he rest of the night and during that time he spilled the beans on everything. You thought it was all bullshit until he even showed you everything about the house and when you met everybody else! He eventually confesses and you do the same!

You and Ron met in the library. You have of course already heard about him, since he is the best friend of the chosen one. He was huffing and puffing having a hard time trying to find the right book he needed to study for. It just so happens it was history and you were the best at history. Ron asked you randomly if you happen to know of any good books to read and you point out a few for him. You happen to notice he was also in the completely wrong section. You ended up helping him study that night and the he got a pretty good grade on his test. A week goes by and you're in the library as usual reading the books you loved. He happens to be there again this time for a different subject. He remembers you helping him last time so he decides to ask for you help again. You end up staying there till the library closed and instead of studying you guys talked. Now Ron is not one to come forward about how he feel towards someone so you just asked him to hangout for a little bit the next day after class. You guys then ended up hanging out quite a lot after that. You guys eventually became a couple after that!
Hope you enjoyed! :))

A Beginner's Guide to Buy Green Coffee Beans Online
So, you've decided to take your love for coffee to the next level and roast your own beans at home. Congratulations! Venturing into the world of home roasting opens up a whole new realm of flavours and experiences.
But where do you start? Fear not, dear coffee enthusiast, for I'm here to guide you through the process of buying green coffee beans like a pro.
Understanding Green Coffee Beans
Before we start to Buy Green Coffee Beans Online, let's take a moment to understand what they are. Green coffee beans are simply raw, unroasted coffee beans.
Unlike the brown beans you're accustomed to seeing, green coffee beans retain all their natural flavours and characteristics, waiting to be unlocked through the roasting process.
Why Roast Your Own?
You might be wondering, why go through the hassle of roasting your own beans when you can simply buy them pre-roasted? Well, roasting your own coffee beans allows you to have complete control over the roasting process, resulting in fresher, more flavourful coffee.
Plus, it's a fun and rewarding hobby that lets you experiment with different roast profiles and flavour profiles.
Finding a Reliable Coffee Bean Supplier
Now that you're sold on the idea of home roasting, it's time to find a reliable coffee bean supplier. With the plethora of options available online, choosing the right supplier can seem daunting. But fear not; with a bit of research, you'll be well on your way to finding the perfect beans for your palate.
When looking for a Australian Coffee Subscription, consider factors such as their reputation, variety of beans offered, shipping options, and customer reviews. Look for suppliers that source their beans ethically and offer detailed descriptions of each bean's origin and flavour profile. Websites specialising in buying green coffee beans online often provide helpful resources and guidance for novice home roasters.
Tips for Buying Green Coffee Beans Online
Check for Freshness: Just like with any other food product, freshness is key when it comes to coffee beans. Look for suppliers that roast their beans in small batches and prioritise freshness. Avoid beans that have been sitting on the shelf for too long.
Consider Origin and Variety: Different regions produce coffee beans with distinct flavour profiles. Explore beans from various origins to discover your favourites. Whether you prefer the bright acidity of Ethiopian beans or the chocolatey notes of beans from Colombia, there's a world of flavours waiting to be explored.
Start Small: As a beginner, it's tempting to buy large quantities of beans to experiment with. However, it's best to start small until you've honed your roasting skills and preferences. Look for suppliers that offer sample packs or smaller quantities to get started.
Read Reviews: Before you buy green coffee beans online, take the time to read reviews from other customers. Pay attention to feedback on the quality of the beans, shipping experience, and customer service. This can help you avoid potential pitfalls and ensure a positive buying experience.
Roasting Your Green Coffee Beans
Once you've selected the perfect beans from your chosen coffee bean supplier Melbourne, it's time for the fun part: roasting! There are various methods for roasting coffee beans at home, from using a dedicated coffee roaster to DIY methods like oven roasting or stovetop popcorn poppers.
Experiment with different techniques to find what works best for you, and enjoy the process of bringing out the flavours hidden within each bean.
Conclusion
Buying green coffee beans online is an exciting journey that opens up a world of possibilities for coffee lovers.
By finding a reliable coffee bean supplier and following these tips, you'll be well on your way to enjoying freshly roasted coffee from the comfort of your own home. So, what are you waiting for? Start exploring the wonderful world of home roasting today!

Aussie Brands: Social Proof with User-Generated Content
Hey there, folks! We’re about to spill the beans on how Aussie brands win hearts using user-generated content (UGC). It’s like when your buddy tells you about a cool thing they tried and loved. Yep, that’s the magic we’re talking about!
Tumblr media
User-generated content (UGC) is like a secret weapon for content marketers when used right. Savvy marketers have caught onto the UGC trend, and it’s no surprise why. The Nielsen Consumer Trust Index spills the beans –92% of consumers trust natural, user-created content more than those old-school ads.
Check this out: Curata did some digging and found that content marketers often sing the same tune – not having enough time and resources. Well, here’s where UGC swoops in to save the day. It can save your team time and money and boost your reputation by letting users create content for you. It’s like getting a range helping hand from the crowd.
But how can you leverage UGC for your marketing strategy in Australia? Here are some tips and examples to inspire you.
Why It's Gold in Australia?
You might wonder why this UGC stuff works so darn well Down Under. Here’s the scoop: Aussies have an allergy to BS. They want the real deal – no fluff, no frills. When they see someone like them raving about a product, it’s like getting a recommendation from a cobber over a cold one. It’s trustworthy, it’s genuine, and it’s as Aussie as a snag sizzle.
Picture This: Aussie Trust Boosters
Imagine scrolling through your social media and spotting a regular Aussie, all smiles, while showing off a product from a local brand. They’re talking about it like they found a treasure, and you can’t help but feel curious. That’s UGC doing its thing, showing that real people love a product.
The Tag Team: Reviews, Posts, and Influencers
Customer Reviews: Think of these as online high-fives. You’re thinking of buying some snazzy shoes, and you see many people saying, “These are the comfiest shoes ever!” It’s like having your friends vouch for a good time at a party – you trust them.A bunch of Aussies, 87% to be exact, read reviews before they shop, according to some clever folks at Bright Local. So, brands, if you’ve got great reviews, show them off like a medal.
User-Generated Posts:User-generated posts are any social media posts that mention or tag your brand, such as photos, videos, stories, or tweets. User-generated posts can help you increase your brand awareness, engagement, and reach and showcase your brand personality and community. You can encourage your customers to create and share user-generated posts by creating a branded hashtag, running a contest or giveaway, or offering incentives or rewards. This is like a fantastic scrapbook made by Aussies for Aussies. Brands are asking everyday folks to share their adventures with their products. Imagine someone showing off their new surfboard or a cool kitchen gadget they love – it’s like getting recommendations from pals. Brands like Aesop and Lorna Jane do this well. It’s like you’re seeing your mates having a blast.
Influencer Friends: Influencers are like those cool cousins who always know the best stuff. Brands team up with them to show their products naturally. You know that feeling when a friend tells you, “This cafe has the best coffee”? That’s influencer magic!
Imagine an influencer you like showing off a brand they love. It’s like getting advice from someone in the know.
You can partner with influencers by sending them free products to review, sponsoring their posts or stories, or co-creating content with them. For example, Bondi Sands, an Australian self-tanning brand, has partnered with various influencers in the beauty and lifestyle niche, such as Kylie Jenner, Tammy Hembrow, and Sarah’s Day. It also features influencer posts on its Instagram account, product information and discounts.
Web99 pro tips: Why Aussies Love It
So, why does this UGC thing work so well in Australia? Because Aussies dig realness. They’re not into fancy ads; they want to know if something’s worth it. When they see a regular Aussie enjoying a product, it’s like hearing a trusted mate’s opinion.
If you’re searching for a trustworthy agency specialising in web design and digital marketing to help you make the most of user-generated content for your business, look no further than Web99. They offer customised software development, e-commerce website design, and digital marketing services that can help enhance your online presence.
Tumblr media
In a Nutshell: Trust the People
To summarise, Aussie brands are onto a winner with user-generated content. Reviews, user posts, and influencer pals make customers feel like they’re getting advice from friends. It’s not just about selling – it’s like sharing a secret with your best mate.
So, Aussie brands, go for it! Embrace UGC, shout about those happy customers, and collaborate with local influencers. Like a true-blue mate, your brand will become a buddy that people trust. Cheers to building trust, one UGC story at a time!

But first, let's talk about the backbone of every great cup of coffee – roasted coffee beans.

Flat White: A beloved Australian creation, the flat white combines velvety steamed milk with a double shot of espresso, topped with a thin layer of microfoam.
Long Black: For those who prefer a stronger coffee flavor, the long black is a favorite choice. It consists of a double shot of espresso poured over hot water, resulting in a rich and robust brew.
Cappuccino: This Italian-inspired classic remains a popular choice among Australians, featuring equal parts espresso, steamed milk, and frothy milk foam, often sprinkled with chocolate or cinnamon on top.

November 23 - 2023 Thursday
11:12pm
I took the day off today like was advised of me, I think it was a good idea. I woke up and immediately tried to tune into the Thanksgiving parade. The best I could do was watching this puppet guy stream it on Twitch which was actually wholesome and funny. I missed the first half of it though. Afterwards I made a bologna sandwich and rice for breakfast. A little smaller than usual to save room for Thanksgiving lunch. While drinking my coffee I decided to work on a picture I was thinking about last night to tell Daisy how thankful I am of her. While doing that I was chilling in a Black Cat in desktop and was briefly interviewed by this Australian guy before he got in an unironic fight with a couple of trolling teens. It started off funny but over time it got more toxic and people actually got upset. It sucked to watch because I thought the guy was smarter than that. I'm surprised at how many people just give in to strangers shit talking them. It was a nice time, it felt good hangin around and goofin off. I then joined a random furry who was in a cuddle pile with a few people, making sexual references constantly and flustering one another. Shit I can NOT understand and never did. Afterwards I was unsure what to do with myself for awhile. I got that brain fog and tried to sit down with a stream to anchor myself to. I didn't really figure out what to do, I sort of just waited until lunch time. It was then I found out that I didn't have a can of turkey spam like I thought and that sort of put a hamper on my lunch. Instead I had to use hickory smoke flavor which meant I couldn't bake it like I planned so I just fried everything in the pan. I had spam, hash browns with onions, green beans and carrots, corn, stuffing, and gravy. I wasn't in the eating mood when I made all this but it actually came out fantastic. Wasnt TOO many calories over either but it was still a pretty big meal. After lunch I tried to work on another drawing but wasn't feeling it. I still had the same problem not knowing what to do but I tuned into a stream that was actually kinda cozy even though it wasn't someone I usually liked. After a bit Daisy said she wanted to kill Ganon tonight so I had to grind a little for the lightscale trident I needed. We got all set up and finally went through the finale of TOTK. It took about an hour and a half and I recorded the event for the future to check out someday. It was a spectacular ending. I loved the fight with ganon and his dragon design. I'm glad Zelda was turned back to normal. During bedtime I played Neopets and started my first big combat portion it seems.
Degen time. Before bed I was chilling but wanted to do something. I've really been into cucking lately and still am but it's starting to wear off which is good I think. Theres just a lot I've wanted to try or discuss that I haven't been able to so I keep feeling the need to do it. I don't wanna go full cuck though because I can see the negative effects that might have on my opinion of myself. Deep down I want a normal mutual engagement most of the time. But in some ways I don't feel like I deserve that or am capable so I try to settle for more degrading things. Thats not always bad though, only if I do it too much.

“From Bean to Cup”: Nic Salerno’s ‘Espresso Chronicles’ and the love of specialty coffee in Australia.
Hey all! Together with the blog’s first guest, I have brewed something special for you.
Grab your favourite caffeinated beverage and allow me to introduce you to the first of many collaborations with thought leaders, business owners and individuals from the Southern European and Middle Eastern diaspora community.
The aim of working with fellow wogs is to highlight those who are making waves and leading the pack in what is the next generation of wog influence (wogfluence?) in Australia. Without further ado, I introduce to you Nic Salerno - Owner & Coffee Enthusiast at Espresso Chronicles.
Tumblr media
Espresso Chronicles operates via e-commerce and is founded by Nic’s Coffee enthusiasm and entrepreneurship, informed by Italian-Australian heritage, and based in Sydney, Australia.
From recommending the ‘Best Brew in Town’, a collection of the best Cafes in Sydney to something more personal; a reel where Nic sits down with his Nonno to get his valued opinion on Perfetto Moka Hazelnut by Bialetti.
Nic's dedication to Coffee is evident in all facets of his business endeavour.
I came across Espresso Chronicles by participating in the brand’s regular Tik Tok lives earlier this year in March.
"Espresso Chronicles is not just a business, we are dedicated Coffee enthusiasts with a pure passion for the Coffee community." - Nic Salerno, Owner & Coffee Enthusiast
What captivated me the most was watching Nic come to life in the live sessions, which showcased an interactive and educational approach to coffee with an impeccable set design (you can see his marketing influence shine here), and an opportunity to discuss what coffee means for the viewers.
This really gave me an insight into Nic’s world and everything that made him tick and light up. A true joy to watch, in which he deploys a natural and relatable live stream approach to his viewers and loyal followers.
Tumblr media
The business sells an array of items such as Coffee, Coffee Accessories and Coffee Makers including Grinders, Moka Pots, Cups & Christmas Specialty items (i.e. Panettone)
Products are sold online and are shipped nationwide, to New Zealand and selected international countries.
Espresso Chronicles aims to be a hub for anything coffee-related (not just product specific).
I chose to speak to Nic and this business due to the intent and meaningful story that informs the consumer and enthusiast on how he creates a hub for fellow coffee enthusiasts and showcases his passion for doing what truly makes you proud to represent culture (in your own special way).
In sitting down with Nic one-on-one, I was able to truly understand and immerse myself in his passion for coffee, in what has become a very personal experience for him.
Growing up in an Italian household, coffee was at the centrepiece of every discussion and family visit.
“Coffee is the beverage that brings us together and evokes unity,” Nic relayed, and I 100% agree. Initially, going into coffee was not something on Nic’s radar, as his expertise lies in Marketing, Project Management and Buying, with a degree in Counselling in his back pocket also.
As Nic said, “Through life experiences, we naturally evolve into our true selves.”
Tumblr media
The business evolved out of Nic’s true love and passion for espresso, in what became a joke amongst friends with the nickname “Mr Espresso.”
Nic became quite known for ordering his signature coffee whilst out and slowly the business morphed into a community of that same passion.
Through the creation of Espresso Chronicles, Nic has enabled a community of individuals with a special passion for the iconic (and very Italian) beverage and its methodology.
It’s been an amazing journey to see Nic and Espresso Chronicles grow in the 2 years of activation, which I have felt very privileged to have been a part of in the very initial stages as a customer and now, a collaborator.
I want to highlight that not only can wogs be proud of their heritage, and in Nic’s instance coffee, but through professionalism, passion and business expertise he has been able to create something that brings heritage and identity into play, in his own way.
Being proud of your roots is what makes us who we are and forms the fabric of our identity and leaning into where we are from and enhancing our identity's core values, makes us true representations of our higher self.
Drawing inspiration from origins is something to note here, and resonates well with the wogism ethos.
Tumblr media
I want to thank Nic for his interest and time in being involved in the first wogism feature and collaboration.
It’s been a joy and pleasure to get to know him and I look forward to seeing what he has in store for Espresso Chronicles and his own journey in the coming months/years!
Should you have any questions or inquiries you can reach Espresso Chronicles on Instagram, Tik Tok and the Web.
Nic also writes a dedicated blog named “EC Coffee Break” which I urge you to give it a read; my favourite post would be How-To Make the Perfect Moka Coffee.
As always,
Stay well and be well.
