Sunday Worship - James Chapter 1

I did some independent worship this Sunday, shamefully it has been awhile for me. I'd like to share this video with you all of the Pastor at The Crossings Church. https://thecrossinglv.com/media/7jz4q36/nope-week-1

This focuses on James Chapter 1 verses 1-12. My take away from this is as follows: Do not focus so much on wealth in terms of money. God's mission for me is not to obsess over money and material items. Focus on improving myself and seeing people for who they are and not what they have. In the end, the rich people can't cling to their money to buy their forgiveness, ethics, or morality. In the end, money is not how we are judged. Be reminded not to judge others by this in life - all that matters is the goodness of our hearts.

You will never grow in comfort.

Facing trials is the reality of living in a fallen world.

These trials are not a waste, they are not random. God will use them to make you more like Jesus.

When you lack the wisdom to understand what is going on, you pray.

Do not compare your lives.

Pain is the pathway to growth.

We do not get to chose our trials in life nor do we get to chose when they happen, but we can chose our response to them.

Persevere. Don't give up, don't run away. Remain.

When you lack wisdom or are suffering pray this: "God please grant me wisdom and increase my faith."
