Hi! I loved reading the Teen! MC post about the report and it got me thinking: what if, just what if, our 16th century Warlords do in a PTA meeting with MC's teachers? I think that they could be MC's legal gaurdians.

I so think that the teachers would be terrified of Kenshin, Mitsunari would end up in the school library (somehow), Shingen/Masamune would be flirting, and so forth.

Warlords during a PTA meeting with teen!MC’s teachers.

Oda forces.

Nobunaga Oda.

Nobunaga has a naturally intimidating aura, so it’s safe to say that the teacher will have a hard time looking at him in the eye while talking to him about you. The teacher will consider asking if Nobunaga is your only guardian, but decided it was better not to.

Hideyoshi Toyotomi.

Hideyoshi will act more like a mother than a big brother when meeting with your teacher, possibly thinking of ways to scold you if you caused any trouble. The teacher will have an easy time talking to Hideyoshi as he will be attentive to every detail.

Mitsuhide Akechi.

The teacher will be intimidated and confused, perhaps gaslighted too. Mitsuhide won’t hold back in using his silver tongue to put the teacher on edge whenever they talk about you. Mostly to mess with your teacher.

Masamune Date.

Just as expected, if Masamune finds the teacher cute in any way, he will flirt in the middle of the meeting. It will barely give time for the teacher to actually talk about you. In the end, the teacher will ask for another guardian to talk to them.

Mitsunari Ishida.

The teacher will be left waiting for Mitsunari to come, but he won’t even show up. It’s not because he didn’t want to, but he got distracted around the school and got into the library. And he got lost in there too.

Ieyasu Tokugawa.

Ieyasu will seem a bit impatient, which will put the teacher on edge while talking, but he will listen to everything they have to say about you. Of course, if the teacher doesn’t get straight to the point, Ieyasu will demand that they do.

Ranmaru Mori.

The teacher will question if Ranmaru really is a legal guardian, he looks so young it’s hard to believe he is your older brother. Ranmaru will be very attentive and, if there are complaints from the teacher, Ranmaru will promise that you will get better.

Keiji.

Keiji is the type of big brother who will act all cheery and understanding in front of the teacher, but if there are any complaints, he will scold you. Of course, it will be followed by some encouragement from him.

Uesugi-Takeda alliance.

Kenshin Uesugi.

If the teacher was scared by Nobunaga, they will be terrified by Kenshin. They will have a hard time at speaking at first but will open up a bit more. Of course, Kenshin doesn’t like to hear that the teacher has complaints about his little sister, one cold glare is enough for the teacher to end the meeting.

Shingen Takeda.

Just like Masamune, shingen won’t hesitate to flirt with the teacher. He will listen more than masamune, though, staying quiet when it really matters. He will say how the teacher won’t have to worry their pretty head because his little sister would be better and improve. The teacher will be so flattered they won’t mind having shingen as the legal guardian in every meeting.

Yukimura Sanada.

The teacher will also question if Yukimura can be qualified as a legal guardian, since he looks so young as well. Yukimura will listen and hold back any comments that may sound rude. He will be happy if the teacher praises you, but also he surprised. Just because he is that kind of big brother.

Yoshimoto Imagawa.

Yoshimoto will leave the teacher flattered with his beauty, he will actually bring his beautifully decorated fan to the meeting just to fan himself during the conversation. Even Yoshimoto’s soft words will leave the teacher at ease.

Sasuke.

Sasuke will be the most… “normal” out of the bunch, he will listen to every word the teacher says and will take them into consideration. The teacher will find him a bit weird though, since Sasuke never expresses his emotions facially.

Kanetsugu.

Kanetsugu is another one who will be intimidating, he won’t talk much and just listen. If it’s more praises from the teacher than complaints, he will praise you as well with head pats. If he hears more complaints, he will scold you. And Kanetsugu can be scary when he scolds.

The first routes

I finished Kagetoki's route on romantic ending. And I will definitely write about it, but a bit later. I'm literally drowning in work right now, so I don't have much free time. But… I will do it! Just later.

And now I'm stuck thinking about which route to chose next. I'm thinking of finishing with the Shogunate's routes first, so maybe Morinaga? But I checked which routes were released first and realized I hadn't played them yet. I have completed the second wave (let's call it that) of routes… Shigehira, Yoshitsune and Yoichi… plus Kagetoki, which was released a little later. I usually don't look at the route release order, it doesn't really matter, the devs on every route will tell you everything you need. But here… It seems that I'm learning something too early or I don't understand something that I should already know. So… the first routes.

Yoritomo or Yorimoto? Why can't I remember his name? Yoshimoto is to blame for sure (poor thing… I'm sorry I said that! His name is to blame, not himself, of course. He's kind of in the middle between the brothers, but not exactly). Little Nobunaga, it's easier this way. I don't like this guy. He almost killed Yoshitsune, MY Yoshitsune! How dare he touch this sweet bunny boy?!? And I don't care about his reasons, and I don't care about him at all. Yes, he's cute, and he has a very beautiful voice… But, no, thank you! I have no idea if I'll ever be able to bring myself to read his route… Definitely not now.

The Big Fox. Tamamo. To be honest, I was surprised that his route was made public at the beginning of the game. I mean, it's a pretty obvious choice, they connected with this fox thing and stuck with each other… But for me, he's like the final choice. I'm not sure that I have been able to understand his character well on other routes... But for some reason, he seems like a good husband material�� After reading the Prologue, I felt that this was just the perfect option. He's both a pet and a husband… At least she doesn't have to cook so much. Actually, I just realized. She doesn't cook. This is the first MC that doesn't cook at all… And I am absolutely sure that he will often say "good girl". I'm not ready for this...

And Banki… Bonkey… No, I don't remember his name. I used to call him Pearl guy, but now I often call him Blondie. It's sarcastic and cute, and it starts with the same letter. I don't particularly like this guy. He screams a lot and reminds me too much of Hideyoshi... But among these three, I think I'll stop on him. Oh, and Yoichi will be there too… I miss him so much… That's not the main reason, don't get me wrong. Just an additional plus.

Popsugar reading challenge: A book recommended by a librarian

The Premonition- by Banana Yoshimoto

I think the best way to describe the book is that it is a slice of life mixed with a certain degree of coming of age. The way that the author explores the thoughts and working of the protagonist is really nice, but I did not really understand the issue of her premonition until I read other people's review. At the same time, I feel that the author only stopped at the surface, because once the protagonist remembered her biological family, I would have expected her to have a bit more thoughts about them, instead of just having that one chapter. I actually find that one chapter to be best written part of the whole book.

Also, in regard to the ending, with the main character and her foster brother deciding to be in a relationship together but will careful hide it from everyone else. I don't know if this is a culture issue, but I don't understand what the big deal is. They are not biologically related in anyway, and the protagonist was actually of a certain age when she was adopted. A bit younger then a teenager, but more than an infant. So I don't know who there would be any sort of taboo in regard to this.

Overall, this book is a nice coming of age story, although I feel that the author could have examined the characters a bit more.

And there went a perfectly good office chair. I sighed, not particularly surprised by any of this. Kenshin would use any excuse to fight, and Nobunaga had no problem stepping on little people to get to where he wanted to go, the fall of my company was only a testament to his corporation's grand take over. 

"You'll have to excuse Kenshin, that's just how he says hello," I smiled, hoping to get (YN)'s attention.

"A normal 'hello' would have been sufficient." (YN) scowled as they plopped back in their now severely mauled chair. 

"I beg to differ," Kenshin mumbled beside me.

"Sending (YN) to Larkspur sounds fine but what the rest of your plan?" I faced Nobunaga. Surely he didn't think to send them as they were, having no cover story was not sufficient. 

"It's difficult to say, due to their memory loss we're not quite sure what works as a believable alias. They could just wander the city claiming amnesia until they gather enough information to find Kennyo, but that's hardly efficient." Nobunaga mused, trying to figure out a plan. 

I stood and walked over to where (YN) sat, pulling a pouch from my pocket. "Hold out your hands, please." (YN) did so with caution, not that I blame them, but it still allowed me to drop sufficient coin into their hands. "Go into what's left of the market. Find something that catches your eye. We'll go from there."

It wasn't difficult to tell that everyone was confused by my gesture, but I had a feeling they would surprise us, and that they did. 

After nearly two hours in the market, they returned to the base with several bolts of fabric and sewing supplies. They had the brightest smile on their face as they scurried my way to hand back the change.

"Thanks, Yoshimoto! I think I walked past this stall about eight times before I went in and decided to buy something." They beamed up at me before dropping the change back into my coat pocket. I could help but smile. Brazen little thing. "This is going to be interesting and hopefully a little enlightening."

As fate would have it, they appeared to be a competent with a needle and thread, despite having forgotten who had taught them such advanced techniques. They now had their cover, and it would be significantly easier to integrate themselves and blend in with the crowd. 

"What might you be working on now?" I asked, wandering back into their room several days later to check on their progress. 

"I'm trying something new. I want it to be easy to move in, but it should also flow like the rest of the clothes in the capital do, yanno?" They answered, not looking up from their work and the photos Hideyoshi had provided. 

"I see, you do quite like sleeves, don't you?" Noticing that every garment that had made so far would carefully cover every inch of skin. 

"I've got lots of markings, I'm not particularly keen on showing them off, and I'm not looking for pity when I get there," They muttered, sucking on their fingertip after sticking it particularly hard with a needle.

"A valid point. I can see the logic, it's better to not have to answer too many questions while you're there." I smiled as I sat across from them. "Do you need anything before I leave? Tea maybe?"

"No, I'm alright with just the water, thanks though Yoshimoto. You've been awesome." Their eyes sparkled as they looked up, paused in their needlework. "I really appreciate all your help. Even if you don't think it's worth mentioning."

"It's the least I could do (YN). besides, I've always enjoyed the finer things in life, and your taste in fabric has been a welcomed reprieve from the dreary chaos this world has fallen into." I pat their head, twisting the soft strands of their hair. "May I?"

"I'm not quite sure what you're asking, but I trust you. So, sure." (YN) grinned as they leaned their head forward, continuing on their work and allowing me to braid their hair.

(YN) was given two weeks to sew a new wardrobe, a handy way to practice and showcase their skills when they applied for a guild in the city. The time had gone by quickly, and once they were ready, everyone who needed to, would leave. 

We had all gathered in the meeting room for one final de-briefing. It was short and sweet, and we would leave in waves just to keep our numbers in the crowd to a minimum. With everything packed, I stood beside Shingen, waiting for Yukimura to return with Muramasa's pack so we could travel home when (YN) called from behind.

"Yoshimoto! Hey, hang on a sec!" (YN)’s hand waved frantically, silly little thing. As if their shouting wasn't enough to get my attention. 

"You rang?" I smiled as the others watched the encounter. 

"Here, take this. I made it out of the scrap material you liked. It's not much, but I figured I should thank you somehow for all your help." (YN)’s eyes were full of stars as a smile split their face. Clutching the trinket, I placed it in my inner jacket pocket, confident I wouldn't lose it there. 

"Thank you, it's a very kind gesture and wonderfully crafted. I will cherish it." With one more pat to (YN)’s head, we were given our signal. "It's time for us to go. Stay safe, and don't hesitate to call one of us if you should need anything."

Nodding their head enthusiastically (YN) stood behind the door, I watched until I could no longer see them or the building. We were headed home. it was time to start some trouble.

Sirius has wanted a family as long as he can remember. Growing up with little siblings all over the place is a comfort for him. And when you ask him about having kids he’s honestly a little nervous that you don’t want them but respects your choice either way. (That just means he’ll get to be the cool uncle) (Fenrir and Ray disagree) He still gets dad of the year every year, though. Calls the kids ‘sprout’.

Blanc didn’t realize it was his kink until it slipped out one night nonchalantly over tea. “Blanc, I know you like kids but… what about ours?” It was good Oliver had moved elsewhere by this point because you two fucked. Like. Rabbits. While you both thoroughly enjoyed the process of getting pregnant, Blanc absolutely spoils you when you’re pregnant. Massages, carrying you whenever he gets the chance, begging Luka to make you whatever strange food you want. And once the baby is here? Proudest papa when their hair goes white and is admittedly a little nervous that he can be a good dad.

Kyle is excited and nervous the entire time you’re pregnant. Thankfully he has a good role model in his dad and it seems almost effortless how well he parents. You just know you’re in for a world of trouble when you see them, a grown man and toddler, studying a medicine book intently. Guess it’s time to brush up on your genius wrangling skills!

Arthur would cry when he learned you were pregnant. There’s 0 way he wouldn’t. Absolutely doting with an edge of being terrified that something will go wrong and he’ll lose the most precious person(s) in his life. A good dose of reality from you and Theo sets him straight. He helped deliver and he was trying not to cry then, too. An absolutely doting father, there’s certainly mischief abound later down the road.

Shakespeare is terrified he’s not going to be a good father. He can put on a brave face all he wants, but you know the man under the actor’s mask. With his history with you and everyone else in the mansion, he wonders what karma has blessed him with a child and without a doubt, come hell or high water, puts you and baby first. He’s initially nervous with the baby but, thanks to plenty of support from you and baby’s 11 uncles, he adjusts just fine. Your favorite is watching Will put them to bed with a bedtime story that he makes up on the spot and never the same story twice.

Leonardo’s cigarillo literally falls out of his mouth when you tell him you’re pregnant. Followed immediately by cursing in Italian before taking you up in his arms with his eyes shining “Cara mia, you’re serious, yes?” His voice is slightly strained and he nuzzles into your neck at the confirmation. He’s excited and he’s already tinkering with wood and paper making toys and puzzles and anything else you could imagine for your future child. He knows you like your independence in doing things but he’s more insistent than usual in helping you to do things. Once baby is here, Leonardo is most often found napping with baby on his chest and an arm around them protectively. Lumière basically became a big brother and seeing all three of them napping was one of the sweetest sights to see in the world. As baby grows, Leonardo slowly works on teaching them everything he knows along with plenty of play (Leonardo wouldn’t admit it but he loved the puppet shows he and every one of baby’s uncles put on with the shadow puppets he made.)

Hideyoshi is mama bear. Like, to the extreme. You’ll need to remind him to calm down a lot but he’s so protective and loyal to your little (for now) family. He’s the ultimate giver of piggy back rides and learns how to braid hair for his little girl and teaches his sons about dismantling toxic masculinity.

Sasuke is nervous but he studies and studies and studies anything he can get his hands on when it comes to rearing children. He even goes to Kenshin, Shingen, and Yoshimoto for advice. You both thought about going back to the future for this but decided on staying 500 years in the past. Yukimura is named the fun uncle and the kids tease him all the time. Sasuke is ridiculously patient as a dad and you tell him you appreciate him whenever you can. From words to new foods to potty training, Sasuke is basically a saint. You’re only thankful you don’t have to teach them how to drive.

Masamune is ridiculously excited to hear news that you’re pregnant. He definitely flaunts it and is so happy to show you off and dote on you. He gladly makes you whatever crazy foods you want, even trying to recreate things from 500 years in the future for you. Once the baby is here he’s quiet with awe and you swear you saw a little watering at the corner of his eyes. To say he’s a devoted father is the understatement of the century. You just have to reign him in when he tries to do ridiculous things like having a small saddle commissioned for your baby to ride Shogetsu.

Chevalier knew before you did that you were pregnant, surprise surprise. What did surprise you, however, was how much more expressive he was in his protection over you as well as physically needing to be closer to you most of the time. Of course you didn’t complain, receiving a small “That’s ridiculous,” (definitely not Chev’s way of saying yes) conjoined with him nuzzling his face into the crook of your neck when you asked if he felt more protective now. He seemed to read your kind as always, even if he couldn’t be to your now shared room first he had servants draw you perfectly tempered baths and clothing that was easy for you to dress in. The amount of pressure you felt at the upcoming birth was initially astounding until a night Chevalier reminded you that this baby will be here as a result of your love for one another and not the pressures of politics. Once the baby is born you discover that Chevalier has another type of smile: one reserved solely for your baby. It is the softest smile you’ve ever seen him wear and it absolutely melts your heart. Of course his love for books must’ve been built in through DNA because they’re following along with bedtime stories line to line perfectly.

Sariel is shook. He’s calm on the outside, of course, but inside he’s honestly panicking a little. Most of his parenting experience had been with the twins and that situation had been… an intensely unique one. Once it became known, Sariel’s usual dark aura intensified a hundredfold as he threatened all eight princes and Rio that if anything were to happen to you or your happiness, they would disappear. Once the baby came, everyone was astounded at how absolutely soft he could be, of course Licht and Nokto being the exception to that. To say your baby is treated like royalty is not hyperbole and it takes a rather firm foot from you to keep Sariel from spoiling them rotten.

Rio cried immediately when you told him, lightly sobbing his promise that they’re happy tears. During the pregnancy he’s almost overbearing, managing to tone it down just before you feel the need to tell him to. One restless night he tells you about a dream he once had, almost three months after you had saved him. It was filled with quiet nights like this, cuddling by the fire, laughing together. “That’s when I knew I wanted you forever. And a family with you.” You nearly broke his hand during delivery but Rio’s smile didn’t falter, staying strong to lend you his strength. The baby came and while Rio insisted that you took turns waking up for baby, you’re pretty sure he was the one to get up more in the middle of the night. The moment baby was in the world, he was wrapped around all their little fingers and toes. Sometimes Rio has a hard time with discipline, but it’s something he’s working on.

Warlords and Ice Skating

"Here we are, everyone."

Sasuke then turn around to his back, facing each and every warlords behind him who is fully amazed (though some of them were amused) with the ice skating rink in front of them.

"How do they even get such huge amount of ice, and maintain it so it won't melt??"

"Future things are really advanced 😳✨✨."

Sasuke, who seems to be satisfied in showing one of the future things that he could offer, adjusts his glasses with the most unreadable expression on his face. "Alright, everyone, now we have worn each of our ice skate shoes, let me teach you how to skate from scratch. There are many kinds of methods. You see, you may start by holding on something, or, by a slow steps of short slides, or by the guidance of someone, as in, by holding hands together with them and--"

"Wah OAO!"

Cue MC's hands were hold by Nobunaga and Shingen.

Nobu:

Nobunaga: I believe I hold her hand first.

Shingen: I don't care who hold it first, your hand is filthy to hold her beautiful, angelic hands.

Nobunaga: She is my Chatelaine.

Shingen: And? It doesn't mean she belongs solely to you.

MC: *Gasp!!!* Oh no Mitsunari are you okay?? *Instantly escape from Nobunaga and Shingen to help Mitsunari gets up and went somewhere else.*

Jane has long, bright red wavy hair that reaches the dip of her waist. She normally wears her hair up but, she’ll happily wear it down if Leonardo asks her too - though, he’ll normally tug it gently from it’s ribbons to run his fingers through it gently. She plaits her hair before bed, a task which Leonardo loves to perform for her even though - because of his large hands - he can’t manage to braid her long hair very neatly.

She’s petite, slender and delicate. Jane is particularly noted as having soft, delicate hands. She is full of chest, so much so that her breasts almost dwarf the rest of her small body. Her torso is rather short and she has long, slender arms and legs.

She is very pale - white, clear skin - Comte oft’ describes her as his “lovely little porcelain doll”. 

Jane has clear, bright, green eyes. Her eyes are big and wide; people describe them as her best feature as they are the most captivating part of her heart-shaped, soft cheeked face.

She is incredibly hygienic and takes very good care of herself. Jane wears delicate perfumes that smell of flowers and vanilla, often gifted to her by Shakespeare though, she’ll never wear these scents around Leonardo as he gets rather jealous. 

Fun Facts

It is absolutely love at first sight between her and Leonardo for the both of them. Jane admires Leonardo’s intelligence and care-free attitude (even if she is slightly put off by his somewhat brashness and perceived impoliteness). Leonardo adores Jane’s brain and the fiery self confidence that lies underneath her kind, demure exterior (and my god he just thinks she is the world’s most beautiful woman) ((and he likes the way her chest swells at the low neck line of her Tudor era dress)).

Being the oldest of her sisters, and with no brothers in her line, Jane received an education of the highest standard - Even higher than that of her cousins Queen Mary and Queen Elizabeth. She is Leonardo’s equal in terms of intelligence and they match each other intellectually on a near-perfect level.

She plays the violin and the cello, with a particular talent for singing. She’s a top soprano though, she does get a little shy when singing in front of others. Leonardo often catches Jane singing as she writes or tends to the flowers and smiles so tenderly, picking up his violin and playing to accompany her which always makes her blush. 

Jane adores the pet names that le Comte and Leonardo have for her. The first words le Comte said to Jane (after she came back as a vampire) were “Are you hurt, my pearl? Hush now, no need to worry, you’re safe.” Leonardo, Mozart, Arthur and Theo have sarcastically called her “Your Majesty” or “My Queen” or “Queen Jane” only to be met with Jane’s self assured, fiery demands for respect as she was indeed a monarch. Leonardo now calls her these things very seriously in intimate situations i.e., when they are making love or when she wakes up in his arms.

Jane is a skilled fencer. She probably can't out-duel Napoleon or Jean but she'll give them both a good run for their money. She also enjoys hunting though, not many of the residents if any take her up on her offer to go with her. Napoleon might occasionally go along though, just to humor her and to act as her protector.

Defining Life Events

Royal Coup & Reign

At only 15 years old, Jane was unwillingly pushed into a coup by the Privy Council and King Edward VI and made the first Queen of England. At first, when told of her new position, Jane burst into tears, falling to the floor at Syon House, proclaiming “This is not for me - The rightful Queen is Mary.” After being transported to The Tower of London by river, she began to gain confidence and self assurance in her Queenhood. She proclaimed and signed herself as ‘Jane, the Queene’ and crowned herself with the Crown jewels - Jane never enjoyed a coronation. In one of the first moves which turned support away from her (Duke of Northumberland), Jane refused to make her husband (Northumberland’s son)  King, only a Duke. 

In an attempt to protect the tower once Princess Mary began her fight for the throne and hold onto her dwindling supporters, the Queen unknowingly imprisoned herself in the tower by locking up the fortress and taking the keys for herself; Jane never left the tower again. She was confident and self assured until the moment the crown left her head on the 9th and final day of her reign, and suddenly relieved and demure once it did, asking innocently, “Can I go home now?” Jane was promptly arrested and imprisoned in the tower, away from her royal apartments, and she was held there for the next 3 years. Her cousin, Queen Mary, tried desperately to protect Jane from execution, keeping her in confinement for as long as possible, however, Jane was to lose her head.

Execution & Turning

At the age of 18, after being found guilty of treason, Jane was sentenced to death by beheading at the Tower of London in 1554 - Queen Mary spared her from death by burning. She was distressed, as were her Ladies who found themselves unable to help her, meaning that Jane had to undress (Only down to her white underdress) and blindfold herself. She spoke to her executioner, “I pray that you dispatch me quickly,” and asked that he would not remove her blindfold once she placed her head on the block. She fumbled around, crying out in distress trying to find the block but no one helped her - Not her Ladies, not the executioner nor any officials.

Eventually, appalled by what he saw, le Comte de Saint Germain, who looked on from the crowd, rushed to Jane’s side to help her to the block. As she wept, shaking, le Comte whispered comforting words to her and stroked her back carefully, promising that she’d be safe. He knelt with her, guiding her to the block before biting her shoulder which was concealed from anyone looking by Jane’s bright auburn hair, turning her successfully before she was beheaded. 

True to her kind nature, as she knelt at the chopping block after reciting a prayer and professing her devotion to God, Jane forgave her executioner. Jane is the only Monarch of England to ever die for her religion and became a protestant martyr.

In the aftermath of the execution, once the crowd and officials had left, le Comte took Jane’s body and head (separated) to a secluded corner of his mansion and sewed them back together, biting her once again to make absolutely sure that the turning process would be successful. 

Jane doesn’t have a scar from the beheading / stitches and she doesn’t know that it was Comte who helped her to the block and comforted her before she died, but she often tells him that he has “Kind eyes” and that he reminds her of “Someone very dear” to her.

Hi cherry! You are always welcome to make a request. And while I do have a lot of them, I will try my best to answer as many as possible!

The warlord’s little sister suffers bullying.

Oda forces.

Nobunaga Oda.

Nobunaga is a doting brother, he would spoil his young sister with everything she wanted (but he also knew how to teach her about the real world). But he was unaware of the mistreatment she suffered with the kids from other noble families, he learned about it the rough way. His little sister comes back crying, her hair a big mess.

He will first comfort her and then seek revenge. He will intimidate the kids with his natural scary aura, which will make the kids apologize to his little sister immediately. Of course, afterwards he will ask the maids to give her a cute new haircut so that she looked adorable. No one dared bully her again.

Mitsuhide Akechi.

Mitsuhide may look like a cunning fox, and he is, but he can also be very sweet and caring. He is a doting brother and cares for his little sister and makes sure she feels happy, he only shows this side of him to her. He is also very protective, which is why he knew something strange was happening. He got his confirmation when his little sister comes back crying. Oh, he was going to make those who made her cry pay.

Mitsuhide “gently” threatened the parents of the kids who bullied his sister to educate their children better, and made sure to make the kids scared of him (he didn’t even do anything, he just smiled and that was enough to make the kids scared).

Uesugi-Takeda alliance.

Kenshin Uesugi.

Despite his scary aura, kenshin can be very gentle and protective. When it comes to his little sister, he will take care of her and spoil her. But she hardly ever got to go outside since Kenshin worried about her, but when she did… children aren’t kind. Needless to say that kenshin had a murderous aura around him when he saw his young sister crying, her hair all messy and cut short.

Of course, he was reminded by Sasuke and shingen that he shouldn’t attack children, so he decided to go for the parents. Again, he was warned to just talk. Sasuke decided to go with him so that he could keep Kenshin under control. His little sister got a new haircut from Yoshimoto, who made a cute short haircut.

Shingen Takeda

Shingen is even more of a doting brother, sometimes people would think that he is her father, not her big brother. Regardless, she was a spoiled princess, who received a lot of education from shingen. But, since she was still a little kid, she didn’t know how to defend herself. That ended up causing in her suffering from bullying.

Shingen was devastated to learn what happened, he would have a very serious talk with the children’s parents. Meanwhile, he decided to comfort his sister with sweets. She felt a lot better eventually.

So, ah, on the subject of poetry. I recently heard that Shingen is also a pretty decent fan of poetry himself, had a few sessions of poetry parties and such. OTOME GAME, OI, LISTEN TO THIS, SHINGEN IS NOT JUST BIG CHONK MANLY MAN. Why is almost every Shingen in otome that I’ve seen this buff muscley dude? Well, maybe Tenkaichi isn’t, but I haven’t played that because art not my thing.

They really oughta switched Shingen with Yoshimoto in Ikesen because History. It would be funnier if they look the same, just... you know, Shingen likes arts and Yoshimoto hates it to all hell. Shingen, big buff dude and all, admires all the pretty paintings and is like quoting classic poetry all the time. Yoshimoto, for all his froo froo appearance, takes one look at a poetry book and throws it to Kenshin’s face (who will of course slice it to ribbons).

Ay~

Not to say that Yoshimoto outright detest poetry IRL, but lack of evidence of poetry-making suggest that he is at least not interested in it. He’s like... IIRC Wiki says he does do it out of obligation (family tradition?) but the poetry are not inspired and sounds very rote. You know, like someone doing the bare minimum for their homework and gets an “at least you turned in something” grade.

Even YUKIMURA is interested dammit. Letters to his brother had something like “I kinda really suck but I’m working hard to learn poetry”. I wonder if he ended up writing any. That would be a thing to behold.

My personal SW5 impressions of characters after playing the game once (plus some lol)  

note: I’m talking about all of them as characters in a video game.

Nobunaga - ngl I love him. I feel his depiction might become a bit controversial among fans, but as a story it’s great imho.

Mitsuhide - I love him too lol deep down he’s pretty similar to his SW4 counterpart, but he also isn’t. He made different choices, and there are different settings (i.e. Akechi castle being burned down and his whole family dying) that made a difference, and then there’s his relationship with Nobunaga [but it isn’t just Nobunaga who influences Mitsuhide]

Hideyoshi - he’s such a fun character. It’s always a hit or miss with Hideyoshi and me in various media, and I admit i wasn’t a big fan of some parts of SW4 Hideyoshi, but this younger version who is all about making it big and becoming a powerful daimyou is refreshing and fun. There’s some rivalry between him and Mitsuhide (mostly one-sided), and respect for Ieyasu. The Hashiba group (Hideyoshi, Hanbei, Kazuuji, Kanbei) are very warm and almost family-like

Ieyasu - he’s also a nice character. I liked SW4 Ieyasu and the Tokugawa clan a lot, and you can still feel the bonds here as well. He’s very, not serious, but he knows he’s not good enough and he works really hard to become a good samurai. He’s very loyal to Nobunaga, and he’s like a puppy around him. It’s cute.

Imagawa Yoshimoto - he’s pretty much there only to be a villain

Shingen - I was never particularly interested in Shingen (and Takeda clan and Sanada clan as a whole in SW4) so having Shingen as the enemy officer only is like shrug (he’s fun in the Uesugi vs Takeda stage in Mitsuhide’s chapter, but his presence isn’t strong overall, I know there’s one Ieyasu stage where Takeda are with them but I forgot what it’s about)

Kenshin - LOL this time Kenshin got some Kanetsugu’s characterization so he’s very loud, very opinionated, and all about righteousness, which isn’t GI this time but TADASHIKI. At the moment, he’s a bit annoying (but I also felt that way about SW4 Kanetsugu at the beginning, and he’s among my faves now, so...)

Mouri Motonari - he’s also there to be a villain and he does it well. He’s not a nice grandfather, he’s dark and shrewd, and it’s very different from SW4. 

Azai Nagamasa - he’s different, I’m still not sure if in a good or bad way

Matsunaga Hisahide - he’s fun lol (I mean I liked his SW4 version, and I like his SW5′s one too) He’s not really a joke character anymore, and he’s VERY interested in Mitsuhide. I’m glad he stayed as a playable character.

Nouhime - (no one calls her Nouhime lol ETA: Sena does) she is a great character but unfortunately her ‘screen time’ is way too short. Her interactions are mostly limited to Nobunaga, but I guess I just need to trigger more in battle dialogues. I like what they did with her in the IF stories.

Mitsuki - she was such a delightful surprise. She’s written well, and I really like her story, and also her involvement in Nobunaga and Mitsuhide’s story

Toshiie - he’s pretty much the same as in SW4, he’s Nobunaga’s childhood friend and just follows whatever Nobunaga orders, without questioning it much (the furthest he went was before Hiei-zan, but nothing really came from it anyway). He has bigger role during the early chapters, after Mitsuhide joins Nobunaga, Nobunaga apparently forgets he already had a BFF? idk lol 

Katsuie - he became more handsome, but at the core, he’s pretty much the same Katsuie too. But this time they decided to make Katsuie loyal primarily to Oichi and make him her bodyguard (probably to avoid any potential creepiness considering Oichi’s age this time). Toshiie and Katsuie don’t really have any familial relationship, and Hideyoshi calls him “danna” lol

Oichi - she’s a... child, basically (and I did like the mother-like figure in SW4, especially in SW4-2), but she keeps growing on me. 

Saitou Toshimitsu - he’s extremely loyal to Mitsuhide and he follows him no matter what. They have a nice lord/vassal relationship very different from all lord/vassal relationships that were in SW4, so it’s refreshing

Yamanaka Shikanosuke - he’s a great character, he’s friends with Mitsuhide, and they both swore under the moon to become stronger, so they could protect those who were important to them, and that promise made them move forward. It’s a great friendship, but tragic. (as everything in this stupid game is) Although, I admit that at this time, more than his relationship with Mitsuhide, I’m more interested in his relationship with Mori Motonari and Kobayakawa Takakage.

Hanbei - omg I love this version of Hanbei a LOT. I feel like in SW4 he wasn’t around that much, and when he was I just focused more on Kanbei, but do I love him in SW5. His characterization is basically the same, but he’s also more soft? And more on equal ground with Hideyoshi, whom he calls ‘Hideyoshi’, and while their relationship isn’t THAT different, Hideyoshi’s personality and age makes it different, and I love it. Because of his time with Dosan, he gets a lot of ‘screen time’ this time around, so that’s great too.

Kanbei - Kanbei is... young LOL He appears pretty late in the game, so I didn’t have much time to really focus on him because this time, I focused more on Hanbei. Their senpai-kohai relationship is cute though

Nakamura Kazuuji - he’s... there. He has a nice relationship with Mitsuki, but we also never really see them interact properly or hear about their past (maybe the citadel events?), and he’s very loyal to Hideyoshi, so that’s cool too. Like I said above I like the Hashiba group. 

Sena - Sena is great, different from the other girls in this game, more mature. 

Tadakatsu - he’s like a big loud puppy who follows his master Takechiyo. I didn’t focus on him much tbh I’ve always preferred Ieyasu’s relationship with Hanzou, and that didn’t really change. And this time there was also Sena, so... Tadakatsu was... just there, more like an older brother than a vassal

Hanzou - also great. The age difference this time made some changes with his relationship with Ieyasu, and there’s no ‘shadow to Ieyasu’s light’ symbolism this time, but it is still a nice relationship. 

Sandayu - he’s a character that’s very present and he goes from a nice big brother figure to ********, but I haven’t really made an opinion about him yet. He’s a good character, but I like others more, basically.

Kobayakawa Takakage - hahahahaha he’s very self-centered and at first I was like you’re so annoying, but he also started to grow on me, so we’ll see (I definitely do prefer SW4 though). Although, this Kobayakawa and this Hanbei would work quite well together. I need to replay the Hashiba VS Mouri stages.

Saika Magoichi - he’s a nicer version of his SW4 version with no weird womanizer thing thrown in (yet). Unfortunately he only serves as a villain and you don’t really get to know his story, but he’s a person with integrity

Yasuke - Yasuke only joins at the very end of the game, and he’s very cool. He definitely works better than Ranmaru for what this story is about.

Oda Nobuyuki - he was a nice character. tbh they could have made him fully playable because he was present for two whole chapters but well... 

Okabe - idk you fight against him

Katsuyori - I like that Shingen calls him ‘Jirou’ LOL otherwise it didn’t really matter to me if he had a special design or not (but like I said I’m not interested in Takeda clan) - he’s voiced by the same guy who’s voicing Kobayakawa so when I don’t particularly pay attention I’m like why is Ieyasu fighting Kobayakawa? lol

Kikkawa Motoharu - ??? he’s there. he’s the muscles to Kobayakawa’s brain, I guess

Mouri Terumoto - he’s young, he feels the burden, but he doesn’t have much presence

Dousan - well, Dousan is Dousan

Saitou Yoshitatsu - at one moment he’s laughing like a cartoon villain

Asakura Yoshikage - he’s so good. He has a bigger presence that Nagamasa, and it’s a shame he wasn’t made fully playable. But he also never joined Nobunaga... he’s a really nice lord who cares about his territory and people, and does everything to protect them

Ashikaga Yoshiaki - your usual incompetent shogun, I guess

Mitsubushi Fujihide - I love him! He’s very loyal to the shogunate and Yoshiaki and does everything to protect him. (even though the shogun is the way he is)

some more general SW5 thoughts, since I am possessed by a need to ramble:

- I am less worried about how Koei will portray younger Nobu after the (admittedly brief) cutscene with Nobuyuki and Nou they showed during the stream; I feel like this Nobunaga is still very much “I do things my own way” and not just “generic hothead”, so I’m very happy to see that. (I hope he also retains his troll tendencies though :D)

- on Nou: I actually think I like the idea of a more girlish, reserved Nou! also noticed Nobunaga actually calls her Kichou in this game. kinda cute :D I sincerely hope she retains her friendship with Hanbei, that was always one of the most wholesome things about the series to me

- SPEAKING OF Hanbei seems largely unchanged and I adore his SW5 design. he looks great!! I have no complaints at all here

- Kanbei no longer has that sickly zombie look which I am so so grateful for because ngl I always hated how SW Kanbei looked ahaha... I’ve seen people say he looks too much like Jia Chong which, well ok he does, but I don’t mind :’D

- I have also seen a lot of people joke about how much Ieyasu looks like SW1 Ran which is... also true... though he’s certainly not meant to be a Ran replacement -- him now having a brotherly bond with Nobunaga confirms that for me

- Toshiie is another of those characters who doesn’t seem massively changed, except that SW5 will actually be getting into his friendship with Nobunaga (something other SW games most definitely did not), which I’m interested in. honestly Toshiie is actually one of my SW faves so I’m also just happy he wasn’t changed much (AND if they do add Ran... please give me Ran + Toshiie friendship content again...)

- Oichi seems to be basically SW3 Oichi but younger, who is... not SW2 Oichi as clearly SW5 Oichi is much spunkier than that version of her (thank god). I’ve always thought Oichi’s relationship with Nobunaga was rather cute and it’ll be much easier for Koei to explore it with a less inhuman Nobu so I’m hoping to see some of that

- Shikanosuke is a surprising add and, as I’ve seen people point out on reddit and Twitter and whatnot, means the Mouri will surely be in the game in some capacity. which begs the question... will someone from the Mouri be playable, or will they just be UNPCs?

- Sena is another big surprise, but I adore her design!! the site states that she “later becomes Ieyasu’s wife,” which is indeed historically accurate, but I’m not sure SW5 will actually show her and Ieyasu as wife and husband? the people on stream joked about how it’s more of a big sister / little brother vibe... I dunno!! we’ll see!

I’m also curious as to whether they’ll show her death, as historically Ieyasu actually ordered it himself; I think, in SW5, it’ll happen against his wishes and by Sena’s own choice, as it’d be odd for Koei to have the seemingly boyish SW5 Ieyasu make such a decision. (in the little interview bits on the JP site, her VA also mentions a “decision she makes for Ieyasu’s sake” which tugs at the heartstrings, or somesuch, which is surely what this is about.)

- apparently clones are confirmed but I Do Not Care. it’s fine. gameplay still looks fun and I am here more for story/characters than anything else anyway so :)!

- on UNPCs: Dousan and Yoshimitsu are neat and all but I’m especially interested in Nobuyuki tbh! curious to see how Nobunaga’s relationship with his brother will be portrayed here :D

- e: also interesting to me: on the JP site the characters all have internal numbers, starting from 0. currently missing are number 5 - 7 (between Yoshimoto and Nagamasa) and number 9 (between Nagamasa and Nouhime). 10 - 14 are all characters with a close relationship to Nobunaga; 8 as well as 15 - 16 are close to Mitsuhide; 17 - 19 are Toyotomi retainers, and 20 - 21 are Tokugawa retainers.

so my theory is this: numbers 5 - 7 are “antagonistic” warlords (to the Oda) in the vein of Yoshimoto, most likely Kenshin, Shingen, and *maybe* someone from the Mouri, or alternatively a Takeda retainer such as Masayuki.

number 9 is someone close to either Nobunaga, Mitsuhide, or both -- if Ran is in, this is his number.

22 is most likely Hanzou. then we also have to account for whoever the person briefly shown next to Hideyoshi in the trailer is (Nagahide?).

this would still leave 3 silhouettes unaccounted for; honestly not sure about those, but. these are my thoughts, anyway. :’)
