I installed the new monitor for the Street Fighter II cabinet today..

The size difference isn't astounding but the screen is bigger and the bezel smaller and the sprites on screen when I'm playing come off as less dinky afterwards..

deeply obsessed with post-canon isa/sif/loop dynamics.

on top of everyone's personal time loop crash outs, isa and loop are in the lab playing 4d emotional chess. they're inventing new and fresh types of inferiority complexes the world has never seen.

loop never got this far with their isa. there's no script! they knew how he'd react when he was a puppet, following his lines, but who knows what happens now!! (in the loops, loop was siffrin's only confidant. they were the MOST real. outside the loops, what are they? a shadow? an echo? not a guide, anymore. they don't even belong in this timeline, unlike the rest of the party. the universe has abandoned them. who's the puppet now?)

isa is trying to keep himself from panicking because it's great that siff met up with an old friend who looks like the tear of an eldritch being, it's fine he never mentioned them, siff is very private! of course they're so comfortable with each other, isa just doesn't know what it's like to have a childhood friend!! he's not getting replaced, haha!!! (and sure maybe it stings that siff and loop are physically comfortable with each other so fast, when it took him months to hold siffrin like-- oh, well that looks more like a headlock-- maybe loop pretending to choke siffrin is an inside joke? he should probably go check on them anyway, just in case...)

something i think is very funny about veilguard is the black sclera FINALLY being an option now

i know i was pretty fuckin loud about qunari/vashoth NEEDING to have black sclera back in the day (it sets them apart a bit more as something more than just "taller humans with horns) , and i still stand by that, tbh, but upon playing da2 (the game with the first Solid Qunari "design"--even if it was like three models reused ad infinitum) for the first time in several years on a bigger screen and higher definition, i've come to a realization

i don't think the qunari actually ever had black sclera, i think their eyes were just so deep-set and shadowed by their brow (because THE HORNS FOLLOW THE BROWBONE, VEILGUARD!!!!) that it just looked like the da2 qunari's sclera were black!

so, we were wrong the entire time

but i WILL keep doing it regardless😤

I've gotten myself into a bit of a predicament where the new d20 ep was yesterday, and tonight is cr, but listen summer just started on my Meadowlands file and I have so much work to do–

suffice to say I am teetering on the edge of falling behind on these very long shows I have committed myself to and that is sooo dangerous for my adhd brain

Plugged in my secondary monitor for the first time in over a month. Looking at my quality edits sideblog on it, and I'm reminded why it's always a good idea to look at your work through multiple screens: You'll never get a perfect match (thx a lot technology), but it's a good way to make sure that whatever tweaks you do it will look as not-horrible to as many people as possible.

(That being said, why does my Samsung make everyone's shit look like they wanted to play with Hue and Saturation settings like a clueless five-year-old? We just don't know.)

I'm looking for tablet reccomendations since I might get myself a new one for christmas (not really thinking of pen displays but I'm willing to hear opinions of really good ones) I've mostly used huion and wacom products with mixed results for both but I want something that will last at least 5 years and in a reasonable price range. hopefully wireless. and I want to hear opinions of real people and not tech site bots

Not a big fan of new years resolutions in general, but I do plan on watching more dvds again this year.

Last week our streaming broke down in the middle of a movie marathon, so we went back to the long forgotten dvd player - and god I missed those menus that play the best scenes of the movie as sort of a teaser while the thing waits patiently for you to select scenes, languages and subtitles.

Also never worrying about being logged out on accident, internet problems, subscription prices rising.
