Crowley did Bildad the Shuhite SO much better than the real deal
Canon Bildad: fake friend, blames Job for his family's loss, tells him to repent, probably tells disabled people they have demons
Crowley Bildad: offers refreshments, saves your goats, rebirths your kids, never gonna give you up, never gonna let you down

I love good omens fandom posts atm because 50% of posts are like “Oh you thought you were finally over the ending? WELL THINK ABOUT THIS-“, 40% are just gif of the kiss with a caption like “They both loved each other so much they forgot to ask how the other wanted to be loved” or something like that and the other 10% is just Bildad the Shuhite

Can someone tell me why Bildad the Shuhite's hair grows 6" between scenes.
DO NOT ASK NEIL ABOUT FAN THEORY
Look at his doofy, just brushing the shoulders, fake killing some goats look:

Compared with his long, luscious trailing down the back, on my way to faux murder some children vibe:

Continued under the cut.
Like, I know it's been mentioned before, at length, but what on earth are they wanting to show us with this? Is it meant to show a change in narrator? And if so, who is remembering who?
Aziraphale's appearance doesn't seem to change between any of the minisode scenes, and when we exit the first flashback we are shown Aziraphale in the bookshop. So is Aziraphale remembering Crowley as goofy doofy Bildad with the shorter locks?
The second flashback starts with a slight zoom in on Crowley in the bookshop and we are then greeted with a longer haired Bildad, so does Crowley remember himself differently, maybe in a bit more of a flattering light?
Alternatively, could this be similar to Crowley's changing sideburn lengths throughout season 2? In A Companion to Owls they aren't visible so maybe a longer wig is used to show a similar change? I haven't theorized a lot on what the changes could represent, if anything, but I'd venture to say that longer lengths seem to occur in situations when Crowley is more relaxed, open, or honest. So what is it telling us when his hair lengths are longer? Is it an indicator of vulnerability?
He is lying to Aziraphale about the goats initially when his hair is shorter, and later in Jobs courtyard, his hair is long, and he takes an incredible leap of faith by showing the angel something that could very well bring him harm. Imagine Aziraphale wasn't the angel he thought he was and ratted on Crowley, imagine what hell would do to him. Imagine the vulnerability it took to show Aziraphale who he is. Imagine the fear he had to overcome. The fear of being known.
Tumblr media
Or maybe it's just based on the narrator. Or maybe David tripped in the parking lot and the first wig fell off and a truck ran it over and they had to run out and buy another one and it wasn't exactly the same. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ Or maybe even a secret 4th thing.

would you care for a very stupid GO2 meta?
I would like to explain for you, the really dumb joke at the heart of the title Chapter 2: The clue featuring the minisode A Companion to Owls.
A companion to owls seems like a strange choice for a title to this episode, there are absolutely no owls mentioned in the episode, and besides birds being referenced everywhere in season two, why specifically a “companion” to them?
Well for one, these two very specific actors are acting as heroes to this episode.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Why have Peter Davison on “this” episode instead of say, being the bartender in the pub, or a Whickeber street trader?
Because then you don’t get to make this joke in the title of your episode : Aziraphale acts as a helper to both the fifth and tenth Doctors, basically making him a DOUBLE COMPANION. (Companion being the title of the sidekick in DrWho).
But don’t worry they are both BIBLICAL doctors as well.As we all know, Bildaddy the Shuite here is an OBSTETRICIAN/shoemaker.
And if you read the book of job, where the quote “a companion to owls.” comes from in the book of job, you will find that it’s usually interpreted as a metaphor for a doctor’s account of dealing with patients illnesses and death.
A(ziraphale) : Companion2Owls
But to OWLS? Here it is: the dumbest joke in the series. “What do you call two Doctors standing next to each other? Who Who.”
okay you can cart me away now.
