Boston Dynamics - Electric Atlas

A Boston Dynamics anunciou esta semana que “reformou” o robot Atlas em formato hidráulico. No dia seguinte, anunciou o lançamento da nova linha de robots eléctricos com a designação de geração Atlas.

Os novos robots eléctricos vão ser comercializados e têm já várias aplicações industriais. O novo “dispositivo” também pode ser utilizado no sector dos serviços.

otp: don't really ship him with anyone. he and rose have some shit to work out either figure it out or break up 😣

first headcanon that comes to mind: previously mentioned but he's so transgender. also i think he uses his ridiculous strength in inappropriate situations/ways specifically to be funny. drives his hand through the claw machine glass and takes all the prizes for sunny (i think he would pay the place back)

one way in which i relate: arc revolving around identity; trying to forge his own as well as his fragmented sense of identity and the way his trauma plays a role in that. also [thinks about "i’ll pick my own name, and my own life. i’ll find something worth passing on"]

Yeah, I dunno, it's hard to tell because I write stuff like this in a state of mental disarray that I feel comfortable with

Basically if it was someone else writing it I would be wondering how to "improve" or "make it better" but I'm comfortable with it being a combination of a bunch of stuff I like plus a few mistakes here and there

I can kind of think of it as just a weird little project I like doing for fun

We’ve been enjoying Honda’s Asimo (Advanced Step in Innovative Mobility) robot ever since Engadget existed, but now Honda has announced that this robot project is winding down. The technology behind Asimo isn’t going away, however, as it will be put to use in other products, like the Walking Assist device we’ve seen or its self-balancing motorcycle.

The project hasn’t seen any big updates…
