22. Choose a passage from one of your earlier fics and edit it into your current writing style. 

lol oh wow, this... is tough, because looking at older fic usually makes me cringe but also I’m not sure my writing style has changed that substantially? I will give it a shot though!

Lmao in the process of going through fics I rediscovered the one Panic at the Disco fic I ever wrote, back in 2007. It’s an AU where Brendon quits the band before they make it back, and the blessings of time have made this concept extremely hilarious. anyway, the original passage:

"Just, what?" Ryan says, yelling. "Just, you'd rather sell out instead? Just, you're not willing to follow through, or make sacrifices or--"

"Fuck *you,*" Brendon yells back. "I've *made* sacrifices, okay, my parents kicked me out because of this stupid band!"

"Thanks for reminding me. I always forget that you're the only one with *problems,*" Ryan hisses.

Rewritten:

“Just, what?” Ryan says, his voice rising. “What is it, you’re gonna sell out instead? Bow out when it’s hard, not make sacrifices--”

“Fuck you!” Brendon yells back. “I’ve made sacrifices, my parents kicked me out because of this stupid band!”

Ryan’s face shutters, his expression twisting before it just goes blank and cold. “Yeah. I always forget that you’re the only one with problems.”

..... and so on. Maybe I could do a better job rewriting if I remembered literally anything about what Ryan Ross was supposed to be like as a person. I think the main stylistic difference between then and now is that I don’t use asterisks for emphasis anymore, thank god. And I try to be more sparing with how much I use fuck, although of course that depends on the POV and the characters speaking.

29.    If you could write the sequel (or prequel) to any fic out there not written by yourself, which would you choose?

I would write a sequel to that one ushioi movie star AU that ends when they kiss for real the first time. Also this vmon sexting fic, although in this case I don’t necessarily want to write it myself as much as I just want more of the fic itself, because I don’t think I could do the Taehyung voice the author has justice.

37. Talk about your current wips.

Oh god, well. There are too many and I keep starting more when I feel stuck on older ones which means that the older ones are probably never going to be finished it’s bad folks.

But, the ones that I’m actively working on right now: the next chapter of the sterek fic I’m writing for a commission; a sope commission (working title ‘fruit goth’) where they meet in hawaii; a jihope AU where they’re roommates and start up an FWB thing and hoseok has some fuckboy tendencies and there’s angst; and a sugakookie thing where yoongi and jungkook dated and then broke up and then years later run into each other again at a yoga class.

y i k e s gosh im in so many fandoms but trc seems to have these problems the most. like we dont need 'protection squads' for these characters, if you like them & are willing to acknowledge all the shit they did & tag properly, then just keep it contained and dont bother trying to comment on the posts of ppl who hate said characters. it just seems to keep...coming up?
