Hi, I'm new to Tumblr (i have no idea how to use this) but I just finished reading The Theraprist these days and I can't stop thinking about how much I MISS IT and how AMAZING it's. So I drew Birch based on Bapple's HC because she's ✨gorgeous✨.

I took some more pictures of them. This one, I'm trying my best to recreate the fanart pose. ^^

They are a little big. Both fit on my lap real nice. I put beans in them so that they have little bit of weight.

(My cat was all over me while I was trying to take these pictures, so I had to throw her in the other room)

I used shirts and pants that I bought from the thrift store I work at for fabric, cause there ain't no way I'm paying 10.99 per yard of fabric when I can pay 99¢ for a shirt.

My sewing machine is broken and has been for months, and I am too lazy to attempt to fix it and too broke to bring it to a professional, so I am just hand stitching all my projects for the moment.

I think I started working on them last month. I worked on them on and off after work and on my off days since.

My favorite part was embroidering the eye onto the body.

My least favorite part was trying to flip the eyelashes. I wanted the eyelashes to stick out from the body, like in the picture, so I made them tiny little tubes, but I could barely flip the big ones on the upper eyelid, so I decided to just embroider the bottom ones.

I worked on them both at the same time. I would finish a part of Bill, then work on that same part of Birch and so on.

I made little paper patterns that I traced into the fabric. If anyone is interested, I can take pictures of those.

The hardest part was trying to figure out how to make Bill's hat 3D. You'd think it be easy, but no. I wanted the cylinder of the hat to be smaller at the point where it meets the brim and larger in diameter at the top, so I had to figure out all that. That was kind of pointless, though, because you can barely see the difference in diameter in the plushies, so that was not worth it.

The easiest part was the demolition of the inferior members of my squishmello collection. Their squishy insides were ripped from their bodies and given new homes with in Bill and Birch. Let us leave a moment of silence for those fallen soldiers.

I wanted Bill and Birch to be able to like sit and remain upright, so I gave them a sort of pyramid shape by making their sides into trapezoids that are larger at the bottom than at the top. That would not have been possible if I made their sides a consistent width. The wide part at their bottom is where the beans live.

I have red Bapple117's answer of my ask, and she has requested Bill and Birch plushies of her own.

This would, sadly, not be possible in the current state that they are in, because I do not have enough fabric left over to make the same scale recreations.

However, I do think I might be able to make half-scale plushies. They wouldn't take as much fabric, time, or cost as much as same scale recreations would. Since they would be a smaller scale, I may not be able to recreate the eye-lash effect, cause they were so small already. I will have to rework the paper patterns to be half size, but it should be possible.

If I end up making the half scales, would anyone like progress pictures?

I think it's interesting that the picture Stanford uses of himself for his note in The Book of Bill shows him walking into what is very likely the same birch stand where he met Bill the first time, at around the same time of year when he met Bill the first time.

It appears to be a bit of a clearing, and the trees in the background are spruces or firs rather than the redwoods that take up most of the Gravity Falls forest. The only slight difference is that in Stanford's current picture there appears to be a mountain in the background and there isn't one in the background from when he met Bill. But there's a real simple explanation for that: the picture was taken from a different angle. I'd hazard to guess that, if we panned the image from the past around (my guess is turned to the right), there'd probably be a hint of a mountain coming above those trees.

Anyways I'm sure it's a stretch to say that this is intentional but. It is interesting.
