Ok so two years ago, I found a feather (the small one) on our back porch and thought “I’ve always wanted a feather :D maybe I can make a pen n quill” more as a joke (as I don’t have ink and didn’t want to risk ruining it)
I washed it, put it in a ziplock and pinned it to my white board and just felt like a collector of a single feather :]
And a few minutes ago I found this huge feather in front of the garage and said “oh hey a big feather! :D” and now I have two.
I’m collecting these now. This was not a bucket list thing but it is now.
Colorful bird feathers were highly prized items in ancient Peru and textiles covered with them are among the most spectacular and luxurious works made in the Precolumbian world. This miniature feathered dress is one of a large group of similar garments reportedly found in an offering at Ullujaya in the lower Ica Valley in southern Peru. The miniatures are one-fourth to one-third the size of full-sized garments
