zero bitch/bitch incident today. One moment of minor stiffness from Tilda as she passed Tribble moving the opposite way through a hallway and I swear Tribble audibly rolled her eyes before stepping aside.

Still watching closely but I'm pretty sure Tribble has this particular conflict nipped in the bud. Noted Tilly this evening calm and relaxed from across the room, lying watching Tribble cuddled close to me near food Matilda clearly would like. I'm weirdly touched that habitual household efforts to keep all dogs confident that patiently watching another dog eat something good is enough to earn a little something good yourself have paid off. (And she was right: a little while later the leftover sausage was portioned into three portions of equal size awarded to each dog in exchange for a sit. Being good pays off.)

I'm actually pretty sure that changing sofas and allowing them to finish glaring through this particular interaction has solved most of the problem, but obviously I'll continue watching closely for several weeks. Matilda is neither making any effort to control Tribble's access to the things Tribble genuinely values nor does Tribble seem particularly bothered about the things Matilda appears to want (mostly, I think, right of way as she comes into the door). I think we've dodged a bullet by... not interfering with the dogs' own communication.

That feels too easy and lucky to be true, but maybe FOR ONCE things are going the good way. Like I said: watching both of them very closely for a bit.

How their scruffle started already forgotten, Michael couldn't even name exactly the reason if asked. Corinthian and Michael share a tendency, after all, to blow things out of proportion whenever a disagreement arises. His error of underestimating the nightmare's brute strength demands its tribute, now slamming Michael onto a floor that's not even visible. All around them is a void. Blackness. Like in every dream revolving around their mutual, unhealthy obsession with each other.

He can't get up fast enough, Corinthian's weight sinking onto his him pins him and belated realization throbs violently in his chest. Michael's vision suddenly blurs, too. Panted breaths enwrap the quiet whine crawling up his throat, face distorting into a pained grimace as he somehow manages to gasp out: " Get off me, asshole! " The rest follows stammered: " You broke m-my... a rib. "
