oh! oh! i know how to do edit the save files! okay so first go into the saves folder, just called "saves", and scroll until you see a folder titled "Fallen". there'll be a bunch of files in it, ignore most of them except the one called "clan_cats"- this is where the cats are held! you can do a bunch of things here but most of them aren't relevant to getting lee into the clan- do CTRL + F to do a search function (if that doesnt work youre on a different type of computer than i am and i have no clue. sorry! D:), then just type in Lee.

there you'll see Lee, he'll have a bunch of words and stuff IGNORE THAT and change a couple things for him to join the clan:

"status": "loner" to "status": "warrior" (or elder, whichever you want, just keep it in the commas). this part is near the top, just like 5 lines down

line directly below status is "backstory"- i dont actually know what his backstory would be listed as but it doesnt matter bc you're changing it to "loner1" (keep it in the commas)

scroll like ALL the way down until you see the next character section, that'll be visible by the }, } bit- then look like 5 lines above that until you see "outside": true, set that to false instead (no commas for this bit)

and that should be it! if it doesnt work or you need more clarification D: sorry D: but hopefully its fine and then WHAM. lee has joined the clan (it wont have an event blurb about him joining btw) (it thinks he's been part of the clan like forever) (but thats fine probs) !!! - 🪶

so I love your sozo hcs and art a lot. I also love theorizing a bunch over lore and stuff in the game and... idk? I had to share this idea with someone about the cordyceps.

So, in one of the secret messages it does say the skull that Spore Grotto is built in and around was the skull of a supposed ancient god. Probably one of the "first gods" even, and it has a mushroom similar to the one that was on Sozo growing out of it, but the face is old looking... So what if the cordyceps is some divine fungus the Mushroomos worship and the one on Sozo is an offspring or rebirth of the ancient one that requires a host to mature? Fungi will often eat and kill other species so perhaps that adds into why Sozo eats the Mushroomos? For a food source to gain power and the cordyceps is a more powerful species of fungi?

Plus maybe Dr Sozonius has a bit of a grudge with them for forcing it on him. Idk? Just some theories I've had when analyzing everything.

The idea that the fungus is itself a deity is one that's been tossed around here a bit yeah!!! And seeing as it managed to take down a God (assuming it is the reason for that Ancient God's death and it didn't just show up after, which I can't imagine why it would for something evidently parasitic) it would make total sense if it is/was!

AaaanD the idea that the Mushroomos specifically worship that Big Shroom is interesting! And using Sozo as a sort of host for their God's rebirth would be in-line with typical cult stuff, so hey!! I could totally see it!

My only uncertainty lies in the fact that the Mushroomos seem almost confused by what's going on with Sozo? At least, they don't make any mention of what's going on, and just claim that he's growing more unpredictable and cruel, and that they fear for their safety around him. And they run away horrified when he tries to eat them, which is a total reasonable response on its own, but not if they would expect it to happen for their God to reach maturity, right? You'd think that'd be like. I dunno, an honor? Noble sacrifice type thing? If their death aids in their God's rebirth?

They even question why he whispers to himself, which you'd figure they'd know if they put that God in him sdghSDKJGH

It's possible they're playing dumb to keep Sozo/outsiders unaware of their intentions, though. That or perhaps the Mushroomos did indeed intend for Sozo to be the new vessel for their God but they just had no fucking idea what that would entail sdghKSJDGH.

Like, here they were expecting their God's offspring/reincarnation to treat them with kindness or whatever for being the ones that brought it back, only for SURPRISE!!!!! It wants to EAT. and it wants to eat THEM

Who knows!! I don't think the Mushroomos' intentions are ever totally made clear, so anything is possible. Though we do know they didn't give much of a shit about the Bishops ("Leshy was slaughtered! Never liked him, anyway" and "Shamura has died. It was probably for the best") so hey for all we know they hate these new Gods and want their old one back. Doing it in the middle of a new God's territory (Anura) might not have been the best idea tho

My tail? It's there to function as a counterweight, so that I can balance properly. If needed, it also functions as a close-ranged weapon.

Was Mahiru actually ever a nice person?

what I remember from the manga and the light novels people (Guren) praised her for her kindness and what not...

But we've never actually seen her be nice or have any story where she was.. !?

i should probably start this off by saying that i might not be fully qualified to speak on this because my heart is filled with burning hatred every time mahiru is involved and i am definitely biased. but i have asked myself the same question!

mahiru being praised for things she isn't or didn't do is kind of a common thing i feel like. "she saved the world!" but she destroyed it, "she's doing this for guren and shinoa!" but she destroyed them.

i think in her case it kind of depends on whether you think the ends justify the means. personally, i don't. i would be more on shinya's path, i guess. just die, it's not worth it, lol.

even if mahiru abused shinoa to 'protect' her from shikama doji and work towards a better future, even if it saves everyone in the end, i don't think that makes it any better. even if she just wanted to "become guren's strength and support him from within", which is a noble goal, the things she did to him and those he loves to get to that point are irredeemable. the damage will never be undone. (also, maybe ask for consent before entering your lover's deepest levels of subconscious. just a thought)

the only kind of glimpse of true kindness from mahiru i can think of is when she saved sayuri from being beaten into a fine paste by seishirou. but in the end, she doesn't actually care about guren's friend at all, calling them his 'pathetic attachments'.

so it's, ugh, i don't know. this combined with the fact that kagami cannot commit to her being a villain and keeps implying that she's actually just a 💕wittle baby giwl in wuv that only did terrible things because she went mad whoopsie!💕 makes her one of the most frustratingly confusing characters i've ever seen. to me.

“Why are there never any hot guys here anymore?” Eddie complained, voice whinier than he’d like to admit. 

Jeff raised an eyebrow at him, “you calling me ugly, Munson?”

Eddie rolled his eyes before giving Jeff his sweetest smile. “Never any hot guys who’d also like to have sex with me, or are you suddenly interested Jeffy-boy?” 

Jeff made a disgusted face that would have been insulting if Eddie didn’t feel exactly the same. The only other gay guy he knew and they were tragically not attracted to each other. What a cruel world they lived in. 

Eddie was about to complain about that instead but before he could Jeff did a double take at the bar, eyes widening. 

“Is that Steve Harrington?” 

Eddie whipped his head around so quickly it was a wonder he didn’t hurt himself. It would have been worth it if he did though because there sitting at the bar was indeed Steve.

Steve with his broad shoulders, and ridiculous hair that Eddie had been obsessed with since his first senior year. 

“Oh shit,” he rasped, his throat suddenly dry. 

He blinked several times to see if maybe he was imagining it and Steve would go away. He didn’t, he stayed right where he was. And then he was turning around and their eyes locked. Steve looked shocked for a second but quickly gathered himself, tilting his head slightly at Eddie giving a slow once-over. Just that made Eddie feel like he was gonna explode and then the bastard had the audacity to wink at him before turning back around. 

Eddie gaped. 

“Did he just wink at you?” Jeff asked slowly, “did Steve fucking Harrington just wink at you in this gay bar?”

Eddie wordlessly nodded, Steve had just done that. If Eddie had had any questions about what Steve was doing here he didn’t anymore.

Steve Harrington had just- he had- oh this was good. Eddie's lips stretched into a slow smirk as his shock slowly faded away, a new thought taking its place. 

“I don’t like that look,” Jeff eyed him suspiciously. 

Eddie ignored it, instead asking, “are you thinking what I’m thinking?”

He sighed, “probably not.” 

“I should seduce Steve.” Eddie continued before Jeff had even finished. 

“Not even close to what I was thinking.” 

Eddie pressed his half-drunk beer into Jeff’s empty hands. “Well start thinking it baby, 'cause it’s happening.” 

He spun around as Jeff muttered ‘here we fucking go’ which Eddie chose to interpret as him being supportive. Like ‘fuck yeah, here we fucking go!’ he gave Jeff a one-fingered wave over his shoulder as thanks. 

'Here we fucking go indeed', he thought as he slid up next to Steve.
