hi, guys! here's smth absolutely no one asked for! heehee so, since we've been talking heraldry (my fav subject! alksjdfklsjdf) i wondered if anyone had any thoughts on the malconaires' heraldic devices etc? both re: the og malconaires AND valentina's formerly-royal birth fam?

i know that kate the great had mentioned asp that she envisions eithne in cool colors and esp greens? in heraldry, green is emblematic of hope, joy, and loyalty in love all of which feels v them to me! honestly, i also associate them w green a lot, too, bc they give lotsa plant and nature symbolism for me <3 but im open to any/everything!! i just thought that might be a place to start talking abt it if we're interested heehee

for valentina's fam...i tend to associate both val and cassimir w black just bc i think they both dress that way a lot hahaha (in heraldry that stands for constancy or grief which alsjdfkjsf but anyway) but yeah obv this is also just a jumping-off point for chatting abt it there're endless possibilities!

Guys let me gush about Black Pean! It’s so good!

I started watching Black Pean, or Black Forceps the other day and binged until episode 7! It was so good!!! I can’t wait to finish it!

Nino was so good as Tokai! I can’t say I’d want to be friends with him if he were a real person but he’s an amazing character lol! Usually I think of Nino as the cute little prankster so to see him play such an intimidating character was so interesting! He’s such an amazing actor 😭😭

Sena is really good too! I love how Tokai starts to trust him! He’s just a little guy and he’s learning! It’s so cute when Tokai trusts him to stitch up the patient in the ER even though he’s an intern. Takeuchi did an amazing job as Sena. :))

Saeki is such an ass like ughhhh he’s such an arrogant little shit and he knows it. I love his character though! Seiyo Uchino plays him so well! The man is so versatile! Like he’s such an arrogant ass in this show yet he was also in What Did You Eat Yesterday? as like the sweetest gay man in the world 😭 (He’s handsome too ngl)

And Takashina. Just Takashina. I know he might not be everyone’s favourite. But he is mine. He might just be the Snipe guy to a lot of viewers, sure he’s a bit misguided and kinda all over the place. He’s a mess, but he’s my mess. If Takashina has 100 fans I am one of those fans. If Takashina has only one fan, I am that fan. And if he has no fans. I am dead. When Alan Pean drove himself to Houston’s St. Joseph Medical Center in August 2015, he got into a minor car accident. He wasn’t thinking straight—he was trying to check himself in for mental health treatment. He had a history of bipolar disorder and, according to court documents, was seeking help for acute emotional distress—he’d hallucinated that men were trying to invade his apartment. But in the hospital, things would only get worse. The day after he was admitted, Pean was shot in the chest in his room. 

Pean was unarmed and naked at the time of the shooting. He survived after emergency surgery, only to be hit with criminal charges for alleged assault of the armed guards who charged into his hospital room. His lawyers later described that ultimately unsuccessful prosecution effort as a calculated conspiracy to absolve the man who had shot and nearly killed Pean: an off-duty Houston Police officer. In October, the City of Houston agreed to pay out $902,500—one of the highest settlement amounts in the city’s recent history—to Pean, whose father and two brothers are working as or training to be physicians, and who identifies as Black.  

For Pean’s brother Christian, the seven-year battle for compensation shows how “deliberately slow the wheels of justice turn.” He said the family still struggles to understand the lack of accountability for the officers involved in the case. “We do view the settlement as a modicum of accountability from the City of Houston for the atrocity that took place under their watch,” Christian said. “We continue to grapple through legal proceedings with the hospital system and the security company that put protocols in place that led to a response to a mental health crisis with bullets instead of healthcare. Amagi(Kazunari Ninomiya) brings an ending that no one expected.

Meanwhile, Amagi receives a request for an operation from Kizaki (Toshiaki Megumi), who runs a restaurant chain in South Korea. Saeki (Seiyo Uchino), who is worried about the enormous construction costs of the new hospital that Amagi is designing, proposes to Amagi that he accept the operation on the condition that he invests 5 billion yen in the new hospital. Amagi immediately flies to Korea to conduct a chance sample.

Kizaki accepts the conditions and wins the chance sample with Amagi, and is admitted to a special room at Tojo University to undergo surgery. At the same time, Seo-hyun (Choi Ji-woo) also comes to Dongseong University for post-surgery tests and runs into Kizaki. In fact, Kizaki and Seohyun are rivals, and Kizaki has bought all the stores that Seohyun gave up due to surgery at a low price, and is also aiming for the remaining first store.

Seohyun hates Kizaki for expanding his business through dirty tricks, and suggests to Amagi not to do the operation. However, where does the wind blow in Amagi?
