Today is May 4th, 2024 and today's card is Blast of Genius, as requested by @niseag-arts!

[ID The image depicts a man clad in blue clothing and steampunk-looking technology posing in front of a fancy looking building. On his back he wears a cylindrical device with a lightbulb looking vessel in the middle and three rods on the top. Each of the rods is emitting crackling blue electricity. Below the tech on his back there's some sort of boxy accordion-looking technology that is also emitting technology behind him curving upward. A long cord coming from the boxy technology runs up to a gauntlet on this guy's arm. The gauntlet has powerful aura of electricity around it possibly coming from a circular indent in the middle of the gauntlet filled to the brim with the same blue electricity.

The man has mid-length greying black hair with white stripes, and a black beard. His gauntlet arm is raised at a 90 degree angle, he's wearing blue robes with red accents, and he's in the foreground of the image. The building behind him has their lights on which you can see through their windows and above the building a dragon raises its head ominously.

This card is a blue and red Sorcery that costs 4 uncolored mana, 1 Blue mana, and 1 Red mana. Its rarity is Uncommon.

Its rules texts reads "Choose target creature or player. Draw three cards, then discard a card. Blast of Genius deals damage equal to the discarded card's converted mana cost to that creature or player."

Its flavor text reads "Ral Zarek's brainstorms bring actual thunder and lightning."
