As requested by some who messaged me, I had opened up my ask box to make it easier to send me request

Also I am taking Art request right now. As stated before, Drawing usually takes a long time, and I can often be busy with life and my own personal projects, so be patient with me and be understandable when I decide that I’m too tired or burned out to draw and decide to cancel your request. Only make you request if you feel like it and think it’s worth the time.

These art requests tho are really impactful to me as they help me hone in my skill, experiment, and challenge me to draw things I never usually draw, and so they make me proud. I thank everyone I have drawn for, for making me the artist I am today. :)

(Also, i can also draw art inspired by, or based on songs, musicians, or bands. So feel free to recommend a song for me to listen to and draw.)

state of the Hazel: not doing too great. general summertime sadness combined with a recently passed cat of mine is not great for the mind. i'm gonna miss that big dope.

i'm getting a good sense for how i'm also feeling gameways, though it ain't much good news. getting back into Persona is feeling rough because i feel like i "have to" play it more than i "want to" play it, generally never great. i still really want to have played it and post the clips here, but given the whole moderation issues of this site, it feels like there's added pressure to do it before it's too late, whether or not "too late" is something i actually need to worry about.

as for more immediate issues, sticking to just Splatoon for so long is getting me into burnout phases. i can understand why, in the past few years, i've usually finished at least one or two pokemon monotype runs by August, maybe visit another game for a good while, but i've done neither this year.

i think playing a new game is probably the best way to get out of this funk right now, though. precisely, i think something i never posted here could work best, to help enjoy the posting process a little bit more too.

i did a whole shopping list in the tags sitting on this, but that'll do for this one. give myself a little time with something new, should be be fine.

I’m writing a wholesome, family-friendly crossover AU in which Pizza Tower, The Neverhood, de Blob, Pikmin, and Earthworm Jim exist in one universe. That universe is called The Ring, and the story is called It’s A Big Universe!

in my AU, almost all of the Pizza Tower bosses are actually good guys (the only one who isn’t , is Pizzahead!)

Louie's Food Adventures: Waterwraith

Sure that thing tried to really kill them yesterday, but that's never stopped Louie from eating anything. It also seemed intelligent as well, this still did not deter the glutton. In fact, he was looking forward to eating it because it was such a pain in the neck.

He remembered clinging to the wall alongside the Pikmin as the giant rollers pushed past them, missing by an inch. He remembered how it would constantly chase him and Olimar as they raced to get the treasure.

Olimar wanted to rush to the next level as soon as the two of them saw the giant come falling from the ceiling. Louie insisted that they stay though. He didn't want to go through the effort of trailing through the cave again just to pick up a couple of things they had left behind.

Whenever that being, the “Waterwraith” as Olimar chose to call it, came an inch close as it excitedly tried to turn all of them into pancakes, Louie found himself having some second thoughts about staying. Nonetheless, Louie persisted in their treasure collecting crusade.

One thought that kept him going... was wondering what it tasted like. Like water perhaps? It looked like it was made out of water. It didn't have any particular smell, at least not anything he could distinguish from the cave. The cave smelled like a pond, a gross pond. So maybe the being had a smell, just nothing strong enough to make it past the cave smell.

He also wondered about the texture. Its body was semi-transparent, and small blobs would fall off of it when it moved quickly. It looked like Jello. Louie liked Jello. However he couldn't seem to find any of the bits that fell off of it. The fact that it was chasing him around didn't exactly give him very much time to look.

He got his chance when they killed it.

Its body broke apart, large gelatinous blobs went flying off its body in all directions. And Louie made sure to stick some of it into one of the now empty spray bottles that he used during the fight to power up the Pikmin. He hoped that there wouldn't be any lingering flavor of Spicy Spray to give him a false idea of what the Waterwraith tasted like.

When they got back to the surface, the ship told them they had finally gotten enough money to pay off the debt. Olimar decided that they would leave tonight after double checking they had everything in order and properly stored.

Louie decided he would try drinking (or perhaps it would be eating) the Waterwraith. It didn't feel quite like drinking water, nor did it feel like swallowing Jello. It was somewhere in between. It felt like drinking strangely thick water. It didn't have any taste to it, not really. It tasted like well water.

Twenty Minutes later, Louie was outside, throwing up.

His mind was a haze. He felt terrible. His head pounded. He knew there was something important he was supposed to remember, but the thought was no more solid than a cloud.

He heard the blasting loud sound of a rocket going off, and held his hands over his ears. His headache was even worse now.

He saw the spaceship going flying off. There was something wrong about this picture. What was it? Louie tried to scratch his brain. It wasn't strange to watch ships flying off while he was at Hocotate Freight.

What was it...

What was it...

Oh yeah...

This wasn't Hocotate Freight. And he was supposed to be on that ship.

Louie was pretty sure that was bad.

It was bad because of uh... uh... there were... uh.

Oh yeah! Nocturnal Predators!

It wasn't nighttime yet though. They were going to leave earlier because they got the stuff for the money. So why was this bad again? It would turn night eventually, Louie figured. Time moves forward, that's a fact. Louie knows that.

Time... there was enough time. Olimar could turn back and pick Louie up. Louie dragged his feet toward the center of their landing spot and weakly waved around his arms. Do you see me Olimar? I'm right here.

Olimar was very far away now. Just a spec. Louie put energy into waving his arms harder. But soon, Louie couldn't see Olimar at all.

Louie sat down. Louie tried to think about what to do, but thinking at all was hard. He felt like his critical thinking was buried under a whole heap of mud.

Olimar... he would realize that Louie wasn't on the ship right? He'll turn around. Louie would just need to wait for him.

Louie waited and waited.

Then it was dark. And Louie was still waiting.

When a Bulborb walked up to Louie's sitting spot, he almost didn't recognize the danger. Then it ducked down to bite him. Louie felt the teeth try to dig into his body. The suit was enough to stop the teeth from poking through. But he was going to get bruises from this.

Louie was then his with a sense of panic.

Olimar left him.

Olimar left him!

OLIMAR LEFT HIM!

AND NOW HE WAS GONNA DIE!

Louie didn't want to die.

Louie desperately wiggled himself out of the mouth of the Bulborb and ran. It chased of course. Louie reached behind him for a Pikmin. Which... he didn't have any of. Louie cursed and ran again as the beast gained on him.

The beast chased Louie around in circles. It showed no signs of losing interest. They usually gave up when there wasn't anything in sight. Why wouldn't it just give up now! Please give up!

Louie recalled what Olimar would do sometimes in the caves to avoid Pikmin deaths. He would go out and risk himself to beat the creature's with his own two fists. Louie was never inclined to put himself directly into danger like that, at least not without Pikmin to back him up.

But he didn't have Pikmin right now did he?

Louie turned around and sucker punched the beast. It reeled back in surprise. Then growled. It ran forward again and Louie ducked to the side. Punching it several times on its leg as hard as he could.

They continued to dance around each other. Louie got bit several more times. But eventually the beast fell.

Well. Food is food. And Louie could really use some right now.

He managed to slowly, but carefully eat it. Oxygen didn't kill right away. Louie could quickly open his helmet and shove a piece of meat in before closing it again.

After about 10 mouthfuls, Louie's stomach cramped again. And he threw up again. Then he kept eating.

Louie would be fine, he told himself. He could kill. He could eat. Even if he was sick.

He just had too... keep living. Would Olimar come back for him? Louie hoped so. He wasn't certain that Olimar would. Maybe Olimar figured out about the whole Golden Pikpik carrots thing. Maybe that's why he left.

Yes. Louie couldn't trust that anybody was coming back for him. So he elected he would do his very best to make sure he would be able to live on this planet like he was never going to go anywhere else.

No matter what it takes.
