Proffer Aid Ghana is a non- governmental organization that seeks to bridge the gap in the Ghanaian health sector, especially in the rural areas. It seeks to also encourage volunteerism amongst Ghanaian nationals and members all over the world. As part of its initiatives, Blue missions is a project designed for foreign volunteers to familiarize themselves with the Ghanaian health sector and populace through on the ground projects with hands-on experience. This would be the first of its kind organized by Proffer Aid Ghana and hence will provide a lot of experiences, both in teaching and in learning. Blue Missions is aimed at; 1. Bring healthcare to individuals without ready access. 2. Awareness creation on some select health topics. 3. Allow international volunteers familiarize themselves with local cases. 4. Familiarize volunteers with Proffer Aid international. 5. Allow team building and encourage team work. 6. Bonding between international and local volunteers. The project is scheduled to commence in October and end in December, lasting for a total of 3 months. It is an opportune way to spend one’s Christmas break. Target audience for this project is adults aged 18 years and above, with an interest in volunteerism and healthcare.
