okay, in case none of you know this, i am currently writing an Encanto long-fic called Por Amarte Así (it's still active, i have just taken a smaller break to compose the next chapter).
The fic is mostly centered around Mirabel and her boyfriend Javier, a young blacksmith. But there are so much more things happening, so i have taken the liberty to use a deleted character, polish him a bit because he will play an important role.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
so I took this deleted character Bubo Marquez and did a whole redesign, some actual personality anc characterization.
His name is Roberto Marquez (only his mother used to call him "Bobo"). His father is Colombian (the baker of the encanto) while his mother was Chilean (she is long passed away in the canon setting). He is a year younger than Isabela and Dolores, he is a tutor and teaches children below school age in how to read, write and count. He's an excellent storyteller, very into drama and he's a self-proclaimed scientist, as he attempts to invent things to make life easier. His shed, more than often, explodes because of his inventions and experiments.
A running gag is that his hair is perfect (yes, that is a reference. figure out that one.)
He believes firmly that science is more reliable and stable than magic and he has clashed with Isabela since they were both in school. What most people don't know is that he's fond of Isabela when she is herself, he's very shy of his feelings and he pays dearly for it when he watches Isabela and Mariano in the movie events (you'know, so much pining and yearning).
Frankly, the union between Isabela and Roberto is also a union between magic and science, how those two elements can co-exist and honestly? Isabela is apparently into the awkward nerd-type. XD

A new snippet, if you will—time to develop a character who by all accounts seems universally despised in this fandom. And indulge in a touch of scary writing, which is not my forte as far as I’m concerned. Let me know what you think!
Now with a sequel!
171. Horror
(nm) horror
Bobo Márquez grew up on stories of perfect dread.
Not too far away, his father had said—never too far away, always just around the corner—there was a village born of death. A place that grew from the severed head of a good man, a man named Madrigal, expanding and gnawing away at everything around them and trapping the people who fled with him.
And in that place, living in the fire of the still-burning heart of that long-dead man, was a witch and her three children.
The oldest was the most deceitful, the craftiest. With her food, she could heal the sick, and she was tricked long ago into being forced to do so for whoever asked. But so very often she would hide that healing beneath layers of poison, drugging the people around her to become addicted to her food. And when she was displeased with them, she could mix in real poison as well—so you would be healed, but you would feel as though death were the better option.
The middle child was the angriest, the most destructive. Her mind conjured blistering heat, great floods, storms where lightning blazed across the sky enough to turn night into day, and clouds thick and black enough to turn day into night. Her sister could heal you, but she could kill you with a thought. Burn you, freeze you solid, dry you into crumbling dust.
But the youngest was the most dangerous, the mildest and the most evil all in one. He could see to the end of the world and back with glowing eyes like green daggers; stare into those eyes too long and he would burn through your head. He could drown you in sand, leaving you choking, and fuse the sand to glass so there you were, forever trapped inside a living window. The worst of it all, though—and his father shook with rage and grief whenever he told this story—was that he could reach into time itself and steal your future. Ensure by walking into that time that your future would hold, and that that future would be a living nightmare. Until he tired of you, and cut you loose, and predicted a death for you. Sometimes it would be quick. Other times, he wasn’t so merciful.
The mother? No powers. The weakest. But she sacrificed her soul to the fire itself, and around her grew a monstrous fortress of thorns and black rocks that groaned and chittered and screamed like a living thing. From the crooked little house she ruled absolute over a valley of the dead, where the sky could change at a whim and the earth could trap you forever in glass and the only hope of salvation was something that would cut your insides like glass and never, ever let you go. And she fed that fire with the bodies of the children who were born in that valley, and ate what was left herself or gave it to her oldest to make into something to give to their parents.
The House of the Grieving Soul, Pá called it. La Casa de la Alma Llorona.
He liked scaring Bobo when he was younger, with those stories. Sometimes he’d tell stories about his lost sister, who was frozen solid in the youngest child’s glass, and hold Bobo close as he promised he would never let that happen to Bobo or his big sister. He’d laugh as Bobo pushed back, told his own stories of forcing the older daughter to only make good things and never use bits of children, striking down the younger daughter with a magic sword that absorbed her lightning and pushing her into the flood, trapping the wizard in his own glass, knocking down the tower, putting out the fire. (His favourite childhood toy, Jerrejerre the Armadillo, often featured in these as his guide and protector.) Other times Pá told him different stories, stories of travelling in the jungle, looking for treasure and ancient temples. Bobo liked those stories much better. They were calmer, and promised a long, full life instead of the deaths his parents seemed to want him to crave.
(His mother would listen in on these stories, and make suggestions sometimes. In retrospect, Bobo should have wondered a bit more about her enthusiasm, not to mention his father’s vehemence.)
Bobo—trying to be Roberto and on account of many factors failing miserably—is twenty-four now, and is too old for stories of the dangerous land of his childhood. He’s also far less close with his parents than once he was, and has taken to the jungles almost to spite them. And now he’s found the little village of San Ambrosio, and a beautiful house where a little boy plays with jaguars while his sister listens for frogs and his (rather pretty if slightly insane-looking...in a good way) cousin grows plants. And that’s fine.
But when the peaceful, sunlit valley is filled with a raging storm over the course of about a minute—and sweet little Antonio wonders aloud what must have upset Mami to his father, and his father eludes to his aunt’s food not making people as well as it should—
And he asks their name again, just to confirm (please, please) that it isn’t Madrigal—
Suddenly Bobo Márquez is actually in Hell for the first time in his life and there’s no way out.

Ang Boss at Mamboboso: Ang Libidinal at Liminal sa Politika ng “Arkanghel sa Maccrotel”
John Daryl Alcantara
Tumblr media
Foreplay
Tumblr media
Paninilip, Pagpipiring at Pagtatanikala

Or That One Time Jesse And Sombra Fucked
based on this beautiful post and set around the time of the Retribution event
Staring down the barrel of a gun typically didn’t make for titillating small talk. Of that, both Sombra and McCree were in agreement. They were also in agreement that they were both too goddamn tired to deal with a mexican standoff, and both were in accord that one would be doing the other a huge favor if they just dropped dead.
“So why don’t you go first?” Sombra said, tipping her pistol down for half a second to gesture to the ground in invitation.
Jesse McCree tipped his hat without taking his eyes or his gun off her. “Naw, pardner, I was raised to be a gentlemen. Ladies first, I insist.”
“Ay, un caballero! Be still my beating heart!”
“On your orders, ma’am,” he said obediently, finger moving off the trigger guard. But Sombra mirrored the move and clicked her tongue.
“You know,” she said conversationally, “It’s not really an authentic mexican standoff if only one of us is Mexican.”
Around them the sounds of fighting were muffled- perks of a covert mission. Sombra had deactivated the Blackwatch operative’s coms when he came into range, and Sombra’s own people were too busy getting slaughtered to come to her aid. It was only them, and this odd rapport they shared.
He felt familiar. Sombra knew and thanked la virgen for never facing off with the killer in front of her before today, but still- somehow- he felt familiar.
“Who said I ain’t?” he said, and Sombra snapped out of it. She grinned.
“So you are?”
McCree shrugged. “I’ve been to, and that’s about as much as you’re gonna get outta me.”
“That’s no fun.” She pouted. That same uneasy sense of familiarity prickled at the back of her neck. She couldn’t pinpoint it exactly, but…
“Now you… you look familiar. Ain’t I killed you before?” But apparently it wasn't only her. Jesse was looking closely at her, no doubt wracking his memory just as she was wracking hers. He’d been to Mexico before, but she was Talon and he was Blackwatch. Covert chance encounters weren’t limited to one continent, let alone country.
“I’m not exactly in the habit of being threatened by vaqueros, vaquero. The ones I meet back home are actual gentlemen, not po-”
She cut herself off abruptly, closing her mouth so that her teeth made an audible clack even from over a meter away. Jesse stared at her, then he squinted. Something about the way she said ‘vaquero’ nagged at his memory. Sombra’s grip on her gun went a little lax, and it wouldn’t take much for him to shoot it out of her hand and take her alive, but the look on her face stopped him.
Recognition.
He felt cold wash over him on the otherwise warm Venetian night. What would it be? A random job? His childhood? Deadlock?
“Po-?” he repeated in question.
“Posers.” Sombra gasped. Her shoulders shook, and then she was laughing, head thrown back and throat bared, loud and unattractive but honest. She lowered her gun and holstered it, using her freed hands to wrap around her stomach to try and control the heaving. “Oh my god, it’s you!”
Jesse put his gun away too, but kept his hand on his hip. “It’s me?”
She pointed at him and gleefully explained: “Calaveras!
Ah. J.M. initials. One of his pseudonyms. Made sense, and Dorado was a common pitstop in his intel runs. Sombra was gathering herself, and Jesse was racing to place her. Her hair- short, cropped, brown- didn’t ring any bells for any of his informants that night. Unless she wasn’t an informant.
Unless…
Purple dress, purple eyes. A cybernetically enhanced spine that glowed beneath his fingertips. A harsh laugh too amused to try to sound pretty, and a tongue sharper than his, even on a good day.
“Aw hell.” He took a step back. Sombra took one look at his dumbfounded wide-eyed expression and winked, knowing he knew that they both knew intimately how they’d first met.
“You didn’t even get my name, vaquero.” She was enjoying watching his already dark complexion go ruddy with embarrassment. Flustered, he was almost adorable.
“I-” He gaped at her, and that little helpless look was reminiscent to a look he gave her on a night several years ago. “I was a little busy.”
“Oh I know.” Sombra took a few steps forward and simpered up at him. “You’ve got good hands, Jaime, try not to lose them.”
“I cannot believe-” He took just as many steps back. “I- you- that we-”
“-fucked?”
He sputtered. “That you’re Talon. That I fucked a- Not even for a honeypot job-! Did you-?”
“Know? No. Honestly I was just out to have fun. I saw you across the bar talking to that omnic and your accent was so awful I thought to myself, ‘Mujer, no puedes no follarte a ese’!”
His shoulders straightened and he loomed over her, voice incredulous. “The accent is what did it for you?”
She shrugged, unruffled. “It was so bad it was good.”
He leaned back. “Fuck you.”
“You already did.”

A look at ten freshman that Auburn will face this fall who have a chance to make an immediate impact
The faces change but the talent level in the SEC tends to stay the same. Quite a few familiar names are gone but they will soon be replaced by a new squad of studs. Today, I am going to highlight a freshman off each of Auburn’s opponents this fall that fans should know. Chances are good, quite a few names on this lists are going to become well known nation wide in the not too distant future.
Kentucky - #7 S Vito Tisdale
Finding playing time on this veteran Kentucky squad will be difficult this fall for the Cats 2020 signing class but one name has consistently popped up this off-season as someone ready to contribute day 1. Vito Tisdale was first ranked as a top 100 player by 247 Composite but saw his stock plummet over the last year tumbling in the rankings to #473 and the 41st ranked safety in the country. But the early returns have been incredibly positive with head coach Mark Stoops specifically mentioning Tisdale as a youngster who has stood out during fall camp.
“He’s a guy we’re playing all over the place right now. He’s wearing No. 7 and I don’t want to put that on him yet but he reminds me of the other guy that wore 7 for us. That’s a pretty big compliment. Mike [Edwards] is one of my all-time favorite players. So instinctual and such a good player for us. Vito coming in as a true freshman and us moving him ... we’re playing him at nickel, at medium, at the sam position, he’s playing strong safety and really is doing some good things. He’s not quite there yet. A lot of guys you couldn’t even think about putting at all those positions. He is able to handle a lot and I really like his demeanor. It’s a lot like Mike. No nonsense and just goes and does his business.”
Georgia - #88 DT Jalen Carter
Obviously picking just one player from the nation’s #1 class is a little difficult. I imagine most Auburn fans will be interested to see how Broderick Jones’s career turns out after flirting with Auburn up until it was time to take an official visit. If not for an injury, 5-star CB Kelee Ringo would be someone to keep an eye on and it’s hard not to be mesmerized by the potential of a 6’7” 260 lb tight end like Darnell Washington. But for my money, Jalen Carter was one of the top 5 players in the 2020 class.
The true freshman has generated plenty of buzz during fall camp and looks poised to see snaps early for this loaded Dawg defense. Cater starred as both a defensive lineman and a tight end for his his school where he dominated with his elite athleticism. What jumps out watching his tape is how fluid he is for a big man. Not only can he move but he’s powerful in the interior with an outstanding knowledge on how to win with not just strength but leverage as well. The Dawgs continue to load up on elite defensive weapons.
Arkansas - #2 S Myles Slusher
Not going to lie this was a little bit difficult. While I liked a few of Sam Pittman’s late additions most notably 4-star QB Malik Hornsby, I don’t see a lot of instant impact players in this 2020 signing class. The one name that does appear to be popping up a bunch is unsurprisingly the Hogs top rated signee of last year’s class Myles Slusher. He was one of only four blue chips signed last cycle by Arkansas.
The Hogs return their two starting safeties on the backend in former Auburn targets Myles Mason and Joe Foucha but it looks likely Slusher will see some action too this fall. New DC Barry Odom stated they’ve worked the Oklahoma native not only at safety but at nickel as well. Given the dearth of talent on this Arkansas squad right now, any kid with potential is going to have a chance to make an early impact.
South Carolina - #4 QB/WR Luke Doty
Unfortunately for South Carolina, the guy I should be talking about, 4-star RB MarShawn Lloyd, is expected to miss all of the 2020 season due to an ACL injury. At worst, he would have been the #2 guy at tailback for the Gamecocks, likely #1 by the end of the year. Instead, AU fans should get to know former top 100 QB signee Luke Doty who is off to an interesting start to his career.
Doty was ranked the #4 dual threat QB in the 2020 class but faces an uphill battle to win the starting job with graduate transfer Collin Hill and Ryan Hilinski ahead of him. So the tremendous athlete will instead pull double duty working at WR as well where he has reportedly impressed South Carolina WR coach and former UGA quarterback Joe Cox.
“Luke is one of the most impressive young men I’ve ever been around because Luke has to deal with Coach Bobo’s meetings and my meetings,” Cox said in a post-practice interview on Tuesday. “Thinking back to being a first-year player in an offense where there’s so much going on, it’s been crazy how well he’s been able to comprehend things. He has a great attitude and has been a great leader on this football team.
“You see it, all the younger guys, he’s the guy in that class. They all gravitate towards him because they know he’s going to be doing things the right way, and it shows. He takes notes in meetings, practices the right way and does everything he’s supposed to do, and he’s going to be a guy pulling along a lot of young guys for a long time. My hat’s been off to him this whole fall camp with everything he has to learn playing all kinds of spots. I couldn’t imagine doing it - there’s no way. There’s been a couple days where his head’s been spinning pretty good, too, where he may have forgotten just how to play football. But he’s made some plays and I think regardless, it’s going to benefit him for both positions doing what we’ve had him do this fall camp.”
You turn on his tape and you can very quickly understand why new South Carolina OC Mike Bobo wants to find a way to get this kid on the field. While probably not a starter, he’s expected to be apart of the rotation at wide receiver this fall.
Ole Miss - #27 WR/S Marc Britt
Britt initially committed to Florida last fall but decided not to sign on National Signing Day and instead postponed a decision until February 20th. He flipped his pledge to the Rebels and has made an immediate impact since stepping on campus.
He initially started out at wide receiver but after a round of COVID-19 decimated the Rebels secondary, Britt flipped to defense where he was quickly working with the ones. Britt played both ways in high school and could end up doing the same for Ole Miss given their needs for impact players on both sides of the ball. He’s a fantastic athlete out of south Florida with a penchant for making big plays. I suspect AU fans will see a lot of him week 5.
LSU - #2 TE Arik Gilbert
Despite LSU signing a top 5 class this was actually one of the easiest picks to make. There aren’t many human beings in the world with Arik Gilbert’s skillset. Built like a defensive end at 6’5” 250 lbs but with speed of a wide receiver and the hands of a tight end, Gilbert can play all over the field for the Tigers.
His commitment came as one of the biggest surprises in recent recruiting history. In today’s world of Crystal Balls and RivalsCasts, everyone typically has an understanding of where a kid is about to commit. The Georgia Bulldogs were seen as the longtime leader for Gilbert with Alabama and Tennessee the top challengers. However, before his decision, the momentum seemed to be in the Tide’s favor up until he actually announced for LSU. LSU’s impressive offensive performance this past fall along with Gilbert’s connection with head coach Ed Orgeron lead the Tigers to pulling off one of the biggest recruiting coups of last cycle.
Expect to see Gilbert all over the field for the Tigers especially with the departure of Ja’Marr Chase. He’s listed as a tight end but he will spend a lot of time split out as well and has the top end speed to make big plays after the catch. In my amateur opinion, Gilbert was the top player in the 2020 class and I fully expect him to be a thorn in Auburn’s side for the next three years. How the hell did Kirby Smart let him get out of Georgia?
Mississippi State - #13 CB Emmanuel Forbes
It’s been a wild off-season for the Bulldogs of Starkville. They decided to send Joe Moorhead packing after a rough bowl performance and convinced Mike Leach to sail down from Pullman with his Air Raid offense. They snagged a graduate transfer quarterback from Stanford while losing three starters to the transfer portal themselves. They are also installing a brand new 3-3-5 defensive scheme while also transitioning from a Spread Power attack to a full on Air Raid on the offensive side of the ball. It’s gonna be wild.
The Bulldogs lose a lot off their defense especially with the transfers of Fabian Lovett and Jaylon Jones. At corner especially, Mississippi State seems to be on the hunt for some early impact players. The Magnolia State’s #2 ranked player of the 2020 class looks poised to fill that void for the Dawgs. Forbes isn’t a burner but possesses great length and isn’t afraid to get physical at the line of scrimmage.
Tennessee - #11 WR Jalin Hyatt
One of the more underrated playmakers from this past signing class is Jalin Hyatt. The 6’0” 175 lb speedster was a late riser in the rankings last cycle but I am not sure if he rose high enough. He had an ultra productive career at South Carolina HS powerhouse Dutch Fork where he holds the school record for receiving yards and receiving touchdowns.
The Vols are in need of some playmakers at the wide receiver position with the departures of Jauan Jennings and Marquez Callaway. Don’t be surprised if Hyatt is a starter by the time the Vols come to Jordan-Hare Stadium.
Alabama - #31 OLB Will Anderson
This was one of the tougher decisions to make on this list. The Crimson Tide signed the consensus #1 player in the 2020 class in 5-star QB Bryce Young who despite a late start to camp is locked in a QB battle with Mac “Pick 6” Jones. I also think 5-star edge player Drew Sanders is going to be a problem in the very near future and there’s a lot of buzz around 4-star WR Javon Baker. Plus there are 3 former Auburn commits on this list including Javion Cohen who had one of the uglier ends to a recruitment I’ve seen in some time. But the man I think ends up making the biggest impact for the Tide this fall is Will Anderson.
When Rodney Garner makes you a top priority early in your high school career, chances are pretty good you are a ball player. Auburn was one of the first SEC programs to offer the Georgia native and were even seen as the leader following his junior season. But Alabama made a serious push and landed the star pass rusher last spring. Anderson then went on to put together an absolutely absurd senior season recording 20+ sacks. He’s earned plenty of hype during fall camp and looks poised to at least be a 3rd down specialist for the Tide this fall.
Texas A&M - #1 WR Demond Demas
While much of the Aggie hype this off-season has been about the amount of returning production to the roster this fall, quietly the wide receiver position has become a major question mark for Jimbo’s squad. It started with the injury to Cameron Buckley who was expected to take on a much larger role this fall. Then it continued with the recent decision by the Aggies leading returning receiver Jhamon Ausbon to opt out and prepare for the NFL Draft. Ainas Smith has transitioned to running back leaving Jalen Preston as A&M’s most experienced WR heading into 2020. He caught 3 passes for 36 yds last season.
Good thing Dameyune Craig is still a damn good recruiter.
The nation’s #3 ranked wide receiver per 247 Composite, Demond Demas, looks poised to earn a starting spot this fall. The 6’3” 180 lb freakazoid was ineligible to play his senior year due to some drama around Texas’s transfer rules. That hasn’t slowed the hype train and the early returns this camp have been positive for the true freshman. Kellen Mond is going to need some new weapons on the outside to step up if this Aggie team is going to come close to the high expectations some are giving them. I suspect Demas quickly becomes one of his favored new targets.

Avistei Clarinha, Gabi, Bebel e Agatha.
Eu conhecia aquele local, perfeitamente. Amélia desligou o automóvel e saiu do carro.
Quando parei, ofegante, Caetano e Renatinho me abraçaram. Choramos.

Raiders will have Cooper against Chiefs in AFC West showdown
/December 10, 2017 (AP)(STL.News) —
The Oakland Raiders will have wide receiver Amari Cooper available for their AFC West showdown with the Kansas City Chiefs.
Cooper, who dominated the Chiefs with 11 catches for 210 yards in their first meeting, was active after clearing the NFL’s concussion protocol this week.
Cooper also had a left ankle sprain that had him questionable for the matchup between AFC West leaders.
He will face a Chiefs defense missing suspended All-Pro cornerback Marcus Peters.
Buffalo rookie quarterback Nathan Peterman will start in place of the injured Tyrod Taylor against Indianapolis with the Bills (6-6) trying to stay in the AFC playoff picture.
It’s Peterman’s fourth appearance and second start in four weeks after he threw five interceptions in the first half of a 54-24 loss at the Los Angeles Chargers on Nov. 19.
Taylor sustained a bruised left knee when sacked on the first play of a 23-3 loss to New England last week. He continued playing through the start of the fourth quarter before being carted off the sideline.
Carolina quarterback Cam Newton will have both tight end Greg Olsen and center Ryan Kalil available against Minnesota.
The Bengals are feeling the aftermath of their physical loss to Pittsburgh on Monday night, missing five starters — including cornerback Adam “Pacman” Jones, who was placed on injured reserve Saturday with a groin injury.
The Packers will be without starting linebacker Nick Perry when they face the winless Browns in Cleveland.
Green Bay’s secondary caught a break as starting cornerback Davon House will play after being kept out of practice with a shoulder injury. The Packers need all the help they can with Browns wide receiver Josh Gordon back for his second game after being suspended for two seasons.
Cleveland will be short-handed on defense as starting safety Jabrill Peppers (knee) and tackle Danny Shelton (ribs/chest) are both out against Green Bay. Also, Kevin Hogan will back up rookie quarterback DeShone Kizer. Cody Kessler has been Cleveland’s backup the past six games.

Val de Cans
É o nome do aeroporto. Belém do Grão - Pará.
Faz check-in.
A revista.
No primeiro encontro? Quem faz isso? Todo mundo, recentemente. Menos o cara que escolhe sair comigo. Ele não deveria dar essa mancada. Isso vai ser meu novo “about me” do orkut.
Embarque imediato.

In the deleted scenes, we see Isabela has a hidden lover! His name is Bobo Marquez! He looks kind of similar to Bruno and Agustin, with the glasses and stubble beard going on.

It. Is. Done.
Chapter Eleven of Tiles on the Roof, “Crossing the Threshold”, and just in time for the birthday girl’s special day! Feliz cumpleaños, Mirabel!
“The cracks can't be cured just by rebuilding the house. The cracks ran all the way across the encanto. And now, it's up to Mirabel, Bruno, and Abuela to go out into the world, find their history, and save the miracle once more. And maaaaaaaybe run into a few surprises along the way.”
Folks, if you could see your way to adding a comment, you’d really make my day. Shout-out to @dolphin-queen who’s been really fantastic about it—many thanks indeed!
