not prompted by literally anything but i think that considering shadows fur coloring is likely a result of his black arms dna then its very rare if not impossible for normal hedgehogs to look like that . like if you ran into another black hedgehog with red stripes they probably just dyed it to look that way

ok so I'm not certain anyone has talked about this here yet or if this is true but--

look at the differences between these avatars. Both are Luo Yan, but the left one is his moving avatar released this update. The left has a sort of black collar and the red on his neck is removed. This is the same as the updated art for the Chinese censored version

So basically, Dislyte seems to be using the same assets from the Chinese version for the global version.

Moving avatars like Ethan's have not reflected this since I think his moving avatar existed before they began censorship + a lot of espers are censored below the neck. Heng Yue's skin was also made without her bunny ears which is reflected in her normal skin in the censored version. Of course, these are all rather trivial aspects of the game so it's not that big of a deal, however (although I do not want to jump the gun), it does imply we might see Chinese censored espers in the future and have both versions be the same.

This is not necessarily a bad thing--the design team is great and worked with what they had (Biondina's and Long Mian's changes are amazing considering they aren't allowed tails or horns! And Luo Yan, although his tattoo cover ups don't quite match the rest of his style, his outfit kinda just makes him hotter lol. Also yes, you furries get to keep your faves) and I think we should be understanding since keeping the differences between versions would mean lots more work for the artists. Still, it means future Espers would be much more limited--skeletons, blood, half-animal (but not full!), tattoos, and revealing outfits would not be in future designs.

I love Dislyte for how crazy it goes with designs. As far as these anime-esque games go, lots are very generic compared to Dislyte which has at least some variety in body types and skin colors, and even includes furry characters and half-human half-animals, plus all the designs stand out so much (cough cough, genshin) and incorporate mythology in such creative ways. It's a shame to lose some of that.

If it's not spoiler territory , does Mark go back to Thatcher's place on his own or is it Thatcher that comes pick him up once he finds him?

I won't go into too much detail but Mark doesn't go back to Thatcher's on his own - he just kind of winds up wherever his feet end up taking him (he goes through a fair bit in this next chapter lmao). That's why Mark didn't answer the phone when Thatcher called in the previous chapter before going to Dave's. Needless to say, Thatcher is pretty damn stressed lmao

(serious advice for drawing body hair is if ur doing it digitally it's probably gonna be a bit of a slog if you aren't insane like i am. if ur doing it traditionally then i would just recommend angling ur pencil a bit and doing quick light motions as if ur gonna cross hatch but instead of crosshatching u follow the direction the hair would lie against the body. if ur doing it digitally then lay out some baselines of what direction lines ur gonna follow and then zoom in and take it section by section and listen to some good tunes or maybe a podcast or audiobook idk)
