PSA:
To all the Anons sending me Asks shaking their heads at Sam dating much younger women...save your outrage for someone who has your same opinion. I have made it CLEAR more than once, that I support Sam and the choices HE makes for HIS life, as long as he's happy. So, quit bugging me. I'm not going to post your Asks. Especially because they contain veiled misogyny, misandry, and misheughany, and I don't play that. If you want to bash Sam, there are other blogs for that. This ain't it.
As I have said ad infinitum, I personally don't think there's anything wrong with Sam dating anyone, as long as they're of legal age and it's consensual.
May I remind you of some successful celebrity relationships where the man was MUCH older than the woman. 👇 And ALL these couples are STILL together despite big age gaps. Guess they must have found "some things in common to talk about." So are all these successful, accomplished, award winning, famous men "creeps" too? 🙄
👇
Sam is just doing what MANY famous men have done for...well, ever. It is completely accepted in Hollywood and no one sees anything wrong with it. Sam's career will be juuuust fine. And I am FINE with Sam dating whoever he wants. If you are not, then go bitch about it somewhere else. Simple as that.

Humphrey Bogart and Lauren Bacall had one of the most legendary romances in Hollywood history. Together, they made four films and had two children. In 1982, Bertie Higgins penned a song, "Key Largo," based on their love story. Both loved wearing timepieces.

Starsky & Hutch Pilot Thoughts
Teh hb and I say down together to watch the Starsky & Hutch pilot movie. (Note: It’s free on Prime as a “bonus”).
It’s very NOIR.
If you’ve seen Key Largo, you’ll know what I mean about a “film noir sky.” Sunny California, only without the sun. Michael Conrad and Richard Lynch are very noir villains, having both character and dark humor. As is Michael Lerner. The whole story is well done. And plenty of fanservice.
Actual noir dialogue, worthy of Bogart and Bacall
S: It's a toilet bowl. That's what it is.
H: What are you talking about?
S: This. What we do, where we do it. You and me are like little bugs, waiting to crawl up, and every time we try, someone flushes.
H: Yeah, well, you and me can be thankful that we're a couple of bugs who know how to swim.
S: Yeah... especially since we've got a shark on our tail.
H: You think he's following us?
S: Let's find out.
H: How about that alley?
S: That's a fine idea, Ollie.

LAUREN BACALL and HUMPHREY BOGART in THE BIG SLEEP (1946)
"Bogie was and always will be the love of my life. He changed my life. He was so powerful and he was a very sexual man. We both had a lot of sexual energy back then. In any case, you never forget your first love, do you? I reached the heights with Bogie. How could anything ever top that?" - LAUREN BACALL
