i think that the effect marty’s escapades (including the game) would have on people in his present wound be 1931 at the least, 1955, and then 1885 at the most. some of the reasoning might be a little headcannony?? idk i hope this makes sense

he did not have that huge of a public effect in 1931, like other than emmet, edna, and arthor (and trixie too ig) he didn’t really do much? he helped with the arrest of kid tannen but (as shown in the citizen brown timeline) didn’t get any credit, all the credit basically went to emmet and maybe edna. and arthor might’ve told his kid (george) about getting “recruited” for a government thing (and i feel like when george grew up a bit, he didn’t believe his father’s stories about getting recruited by the g men and so the story was never really passed down to his kids) but other than that i can’t imagine a huge impact or really that much of an impact at all, which i guess, good job marty for laying low

in 1955 he probably definitely had the biggest effect on his parents. they are definitely going to the remember that kinda weird kid that helped them get together, even more so when george (probably) tells lorraine about how marty has spent that entire week, only trying to get them together. calvin is definitely a huge part in often retellings of them falling in love (sorry marty lol). biff would’ve remembered calvin too and probably still holds a grudge against him for embarrassing him and the manure. other then them i think the rest of the kids would remember calvin too, maybe not by name or appearance or anything but by remembering the kid who played that weird song at the dance or the kid who bested biff that one time.

i like to think that after marty successfully left 1955, george and lorraine asked doc where calvin had gone like a month later and doc panics and says that he died. rip marty. ik that something similar to that happens in one of comics but i haven’t read those so they aren’t canon to me. doc ends up become a mcfly family friend and (lone pine) marty grows up around him. at some point (maybe during george and lorraines retellings) one of them mentions how a) calvins middle name was marty and inspired martys name and b) he was docs nephew but died shortly after that week which cues marty (probably around 15, 16 at this point) bursting into docs lab like “how come you never told me i was named after your dead nephew!!?!?!??” >:((

anyway, back to you regularly scheduled analysis:

last but not least, what happened in 1885 would’ve had the biggest effect. assuming that buford was an extremely huge crime guy in town and that he got arrested after his duel with marty (i dont remember if this actually happens in canon or not), the story of how a kid from out of town, by the name of clint eastwood, bested buford “mad dog” tannen, (who is basically known through out the town that if you get in duel with him you’re already dead) without even using a gun. purely just by out smarting him with a makeshift oldtimey bulletproof vest, would be a huge story. and considering how many people were witnesses to the duel and eastwoods mysterious death shortly after, this story must’ve become big in the town’s history. also, considering how marty said that everyone in school knew the story of clara clayton, it wouldn’t be a long shot to say that most (if not all) the students knew the story of clint eastwood. i would like to think that teachers would talk about the story as evidence of “brain over brawn” or something

i can imagine marty, once he gets back from all his time traveling, having to write an essay about the story of clint eastwood and just slightly panicking because that’s him how the fuck is he supposed to write an essay about his own first person perspective and pretended that it was written by someone who read the story in a textbook a hundred years later?? i can also imagine someone writing a book the eastwood that’s like realistic fiction, trying to guess who this guy really was and how did he really die, called like “a stranger named eastwood” or smthn. because they’d probably have maggie and seamus’s tellings of how they found him knocked out (having crashed into the fence) and in weird clothes. idk, i like the idea of clint eastwood being a hill valley historical figure shrouded in mystery and theories and stuff

anyway, i hope this made sense :) somethings kinda got away from me oops

welcome alyce hightower , the lady of oldtown & lady in waiting for the queen , to king's landing ! the ravens have carried word of their - intrusive and - capricious nature , but we have high hopes that their + eloquent and + attentive qualities will shine through . when you think of them , ideas of soft fingertips tracing scintillating illuminated pictures upon parchment / "obedience in the wrong house is a kind of plague, survivor's guilt a sleight of hand" / a clever mouth, ever turned upwards, and a honeyed tongue, always prepared / "what is left after the poet's gaze rips into us? cadaver? body? light?" / whites and blues and greens shining in adorned silks, a lingering innocence no longer reflected on her eyes. come to mind .  they are arriving to the red keep , neutral to supporting of house velaryon . we do hope that whatever happens , they play the game wisely .

⤳ tdlr and wanted connections under the cut.

trigger warning for : religious upbringing and religion mention, arranged marriage, age gap relationship, death.

the household of arthor hightower, second son of oldtown, is warm and loveful, and full of children creating ruckus. the household of his brohter, luthor, ruling lord of oldtown, is the opposite; even when the children move, along with their parents, to be under luthor’s tutelage, the hightower is never properly warm when luthor is around. 

alyce is thankful she is not the eldest child. though she is imposed many lessons in all the areas that would make a good ruling liege and spouse, a pious lady and a proper hightower, she is given indulgence by her parents. she learns to love books, as well as music and dancing, and at times even uncle luthor smiles at the manner she behaves, which is the exact intention.

the family is happy if you do what is expected of you and a little more. so alyce goes through what is expected of her: she marries a man many years her senior ( after losing her original engagement, his son ), she plays his joyful bride and she cries, rather sincerely, when he passes away a little after their wedding. this match, despite its unlikeliness, had been ideal: alyce was ruling lady, with power and wealth, maintained good relations between trading powers and her husband was not interested in touching her. 

the sentiment of duty completed is a bitter one when you’re only nineteen and midly aimless, and alyce sweetens the deal by falling in love and into bed of an acolyte. they elope, keeping it a secret in hopes a babe soon would make the reveal acceptable, but someone slips up. when luthor finds out, he is quick to dismiss the marriage and the groom, sending him off to essos and alyce over to king’s landing, as if nothing had happened - - which is the official story, known through all the lands, the truth brushed away as dirt.

an allegedly untouched bride is in high demand, but after a third husband or husband - to - be dies, alyce decides to play into the mysthicism she had been born into - - it does help that luthor had just died, too, though it is less fortunate her father dies some short time afterwards - - and announce she had been claimed as a bride to the stranger, and she shall have no more marriages. it has been seven years from that promise, and she has not wavered from it.

despite being an oldtown nerd and a reachwoman through and through, it turns out she is rather fitting to court. she enjoys the manners, the politics, the gossip, the royal family, her fellow ladies. for all of the gloominess one might expect of someone with so many losses, alyce takes enjoyment in partaking in pastimes, and is known for often smiling and trying to make others smile too. a very hidden thorn/snake kinda type, as however kind she may be, she is ultimately meddlesome, cynical and out for herself ( and her family ) and is not above gently nudging someone to get her way somehow

her glee has been dampened, but not snuffed out, by the misfortunes that has recently plagued the keep. alyce does not believe joss has been the one to carry out the assassination attempt, well aware of the love the royal couple held for one another, but she would rather not risking her own position next to the queen, instead offering her all support she can, even when the blatantly stupid moves vaella makes, makes alyce want to shake her and tell her how much more reasonable she should be ( and yes, she ignores how much like luthor she sounds then. he was not all wrong, it seems ).

the prince’s marriage is yet another stupid move. it’s been two years, and vaella should be the one marrying and/or making her own heirs instead of being so eager to get out of the scene. ofc alyce will keep tight lipped about it, and at least enjoy the new movement in court, hoping it will bring some fresh amusement and no fatalities this time around.

despite it all, she is protective of the queen and shall be listening and not physically but mentally noting some things out.

WANTED CONNECTIONS

her former daughter in law : it will be a wc on the main, but the house is utp as long as powerful and rich and southern. originally alyce was to marry their brother, but he died along with their mother, so she married the father instead. the father, too, died soonish after the marriage, leaving this character as an underaged ruling liege. instead of sticking around as the friend she should be, alyce left and went to king’s landing, rumors planted by her uncle smearing her husband’s ( and this character’s father) virility and character instead. it has been nine years, but this may be most likely angsty <3

long - standing friends : preferably from the reach, but can also be from the crownlands. alyce loves writing so this could also work for pen pals !

court new comers : she’s been in court for eight years now, and very much embodies the southern courtly lady aesthetic, for all its good and bad. most likely she’s a part of the welcoming comitee, unoficial or otherwise, and would be glad to acclimate guests into king’s landing life.

disagreements : could have been brought by an argument ( alyce is fickle but enjoys a good verbal exchange ), mutual dislike, a loss in the gambling tables, maybe she heard or saw or said  something she should not and that peeves you, anything ! she aims to please but that does not always work and she is aware of that so

flirting / a lover or two? : adept to the courtly ways, alyce is most likely a big flirt, and if in lust in the moment, she could give in. absolutely no strings attached but friendship, as she has no interest in anything romantic and, gods forbid, marriage. could also just be courtly pals who enjoy dancing and gossiping and harmless flirting !

fellow nerds : alyce was raised in oldtown, the center of learning in westeros, and is very fond of books and reading and learning any kind of new things.

fellow mourners ( not the soc type sorry ) : perhaps people similarly agrieved by misfortunes of life, or people who actually believe she has some sort of funk going on?

Now because of this she is considered an outlaw. Lady Christian has had her entire family wiped out by the English so she has no love for any sassenach! She was forced to wed a hateful English Knight, Henry Faulkner. When he dies she is suspected of murdering him except he was killed by a bow, a weapon she doesn't even know how to use! She has an adopted daughter Michaelmas who she calls Mícheal who was born in a nunnery that she left with her close friend and Celtic Priest and his wife Moira and their many sons to keep her safe from the English. Henry and his English garrison had taken her home, land and murdered innocents Scot’s in the name of the King! Christian swore to Thomas Bruce never again as she went to meet her cousin King Robert the Bruce, The true King of Scotland!

Christian’s deceased husband had only married her for the gold her castle Kilgassie was rumored to have. Even though Christian, nor any of her family members or servants had ever seen any of this gold and everyone had searched for it, most think it is just a fictional legend from long ago. The legend was supposed to have this hidden gold from centuries ago that was given to King Arthor of Camelot that had been blessed by Merlin, the Druid, magician or warlock. Of course none of the English believe her and think she is hiding it and will eventually give it to her cousin, King Robert to support Scotland! Christian and other female family members of Robert the Bruce are put in cages. She had been in a locked cage where she was beaten, starved and blankets were often taken away by the King's first officer Hastings. Her only relief is when one of the English servants who is very kind and thinks it is disgraceful how they are treating this young lass she doesn't care if she is English or scottish no human being should be treated like this. Plus the lass is at death's door and she is still being mistreated. The English serf tries to help her but is denied when asked so she sneaks what she can to feed and keep her warm.

Sir Gavin Faulkener, an English knight, is half English and half Scottish whose mother was a Scot, encounters Christian when she is a prisoner of Edward, and at death’s door because she is kept in a cold cage. He is sick and angry seeing how they are mistreating a woman! Gavin rescues her without full permission thinking she is dying. He is promised an English castle and given Kilglassie not realizing it was in ruins,without her awareness he marries Christian with permission of the English king. Christian at first thinks he is an angel except Gavin feels love for Christian immediately and does everything to save her. As he already lost one young wife from the same illness. Christian thinks Gavin is an angel at first with his golden hair and blue eyes then she assumes he is Scottish hearing his mothers brother's Scottish accents. She is shocked he is an English night, is her dead husband's cousin and married! A wedding she has no memory of she feels so betrayed as she doesn't trust any English Knight especially with the name Faulkner. Though he is kind and seems to have a gift for healing she still feels betrayed! Will she ever trust this angel knight as a man and not let his Englishness get in the way. Read and find out.

Again another heart wrenching story that is absolutely brilliant! Susan King definitely knows how to draw you in and keep a fast moving, awe-inspiring story that any historical reader will absolutely love! It definitely has a bit of everything in this novel, from the ancient celtic stories of King Arthur and Merlin of Camelot, to the iconic true hero Robert the Bruce and his faithful followers. Furthermore this book is filled with faith, magic, myths, folklore, Bruce sympathizers, hatred, torture, love, trust, angels, healing, humorous children, guardian doves, plus a good share of English villains, and a golden haired hero with some other special gifts and a harp playing lass you just hope will survive and get her HEA.

I love historical fiction that has a bit of true history with historical fiction and some iconic true hero’s like Robert the Bruce and the devastating things that he had to deal with during his life, This is a re-read for me and I loved it even more if that is even possible. It is no wonder I have loved this writer for over 25 years! A book that is an absolute must read!

There’s so many political side plots happening in the North, that needs to be probably resolved in the next book.

For example, Alys Karstark and the Magnar of the Thenns.

Karhold is a large holding in the North. Their loyalties are shaky considering Karstark men were there with the Boltons for the Red Wedding. But Alys tells Jon that not a lot of young fighting men are left.

The Thenns number around 200 warriors, wielding bronze weapons and armor. And includes women and children. If Alys turns up with a Wildling husband and army how will the villagers and people of Karhold react to this. Will the Northmen accept this? I don't see them putting up a fight and I think Alys can take this, but considering there is an 8000 year old feud here, I am assuming an uneasy acceptance.

All the Karstark men are currently prisoners. Alys' brother, Harrion is Randyll Tarly's prisoner at Maidenpool. Cregan Karstark is imprisoned by Jon Snow at the wall and his choice is death or taking the black. Arnolf, his son Arthor and grandkids are all imprisoned by Stannis Baratheon and are most likely going to be sacrificed to the Lord of Light.

Arnolf deliberately fake sided with Stannis to get Harrion killed by the Tarlys. So is Harrion doomed? There's a chance that Harrion Karstark does escape imprisonment from Maidenpool - Tarly has left and in AFfC we know the brotherhood without banners is circling that area. If he returns North, what happens then to house Thenn?

There is also a mutiny underway at the wall and Cregan Stark could escape in all that confusion. Bowen Marsh disapproved of Jon playing politics and could release Cregan Stark in the aftermath. But if Cregan gets to Karhold, he may face justice Thenn style.

And of course all this also depends on Stannis and the North winning against the Boltons. Karhold is also near Skagos, so if Davos and Rickon are making their way inland, we may get a Davos POV describing wildlings having taken over!

If all the Karstark lords are killed, then Alys Karstark and the Magnar of Thenn get Karhold. House Karstark was a branch Stark house and it will end up being subsumed and replaced by house Thenn.

In addition, House Thenn’s sigil takes into account the Thenn people, the Karstark sunburst and the red flames for the Lord of Light. Will we start seeing the Red God being embraced more in the North along with the Old Gods?

Anyways looking forward the most to the way dynamics in the North change in big ways. We may see the end of quite a few houses in the next book - Baratheon, Bolton and Karstark.

[ Myoui Mina , female, 23 ] Let’s give a warm welcome to one of Sparkwood’s finest, MINAKO AINO (sailor Venus)!! Before coming here, SHE/HER once lived on the pages of SAILOR MOON. Though now they currently spend most of their time as a(n) COLLEGE STUDENT . If you ask the townsfolk about what they are like, you will hear that they are UNSELFISH but also WEAK-WILLED . If they had a theme song it would be PORCELAIN-MARIANAS TRENCH. Let’s see how their story unravels this time. 

Minako was raised rather spoiled, born with a silver spoon in her mouth, she attended a private boarding school, and anything she ever wanted was given to her, she rarely heard the word no, but she was by no means a spoiled brat, her father always wanted to ensure that she was humble seeing as he started from nothing and worked his way up to the top, he didn't want her to ever look down on others. Her mother was the polar opposite of her father, very materialistic and cold, always starting fights with Minako's father always wanting more money and things, and he would just willing give her what she needed, he might have taught his daughter to be humble and kind, but he himself wasn't fond of confrontation and her mom knew that and used it to her advantage. But Minako's whole entire world of Luxury would came crashing down shortly after her 14th birthday, Her mother who was in charge of the finances of the household, got a bit greedy and started messing with her father's business and she got caught up in a scandalous Embezzling and fraud transferring his clients files to her own personal account, and come to find out it wasn't just once or twice, she had been scamming people for years, and she eventually was arrested. While in prison their bank accounts were frozen, and all at once their things were being taken away, and the company her father spent so long building began quickly crumbling to the ground till there was nothing left.

So with the cash he had in his possession he took Minako and they left Toyko and ended up moving in with her aunt who had left when she was young and made a life for herself in America so that's how they ended up in Sparkwood. Adjusting for Minako was hard, learning English so late in life was harder than anticipated, her aunt gifted her with some rosetta stone cds and she spent every moment attempting to learn, and that's where she met Usagi in the ELS program, basically her saving grace, she talked enough for the both of them and her and her sister helped her study and without them she probably would still be struggling to make conversation in English, and not only did Usagi and Chibiusa help her learn English, they became her first set of true friends.

She started college later than most, she was 20 almost 21 when she started, she had been saving up since the day she graduated wanting to ensure she wouldn't burden her father, who had once coming to America tried his hand and was a writer, his old passion his parents had tried to push aside wanting him to be a business major instead, so of course he enjoyed his job, but the money could be spotty since he wasn't an established arthor yet. So Minako worked at story planet always loved to be around books feeling like she was somehow had a piece of her dad with her wherever she went. So she still works there now living with her dad, her major still undecided focusing more on the required core credits, not really sure what she wanted to do in the future but she was still trying to figure it out.

Man, I read a book once where a bunch of androids all named after king arthor characters get lost in warp space with their owner and her lover and the androids have tape decks in their necks to load programs with.

They learn about their namesakes while lost and it fucks some of them up thinking that they might have ever resembled these characters or that they are maybe supposed to resemble them in some way. They all watch the forbidden-to-androids movies in the ships theater and learn about war and death and this also upsets them.

Summary everything has change when Hitler broke dummies pack in the Soviet union came for us and thousands were murdered and that’s when everything flashed before my eyes and I saw only him because he was my life. We went to my friends house to try to seek refuge but we got found out. We are now still on the run and hoping that no guards find us. My sister had to stay behind because she couldn’t come it’s so sad I hope I can see her again. 

Analyze they are now very scared and they don’t want to be there they want to be where they’re safe and that they can breathe and finally be themselves. It’s so sad because one person can ruin their lives in a second. I hope that they are safe and that they overcome this.
