Bows from last night’s Nutcracker with Boston Ballet! Feat. Chisako Oga as the Sugar Plum Fairy, John Lam as the Nutcracker prince, Daniel Rubin as Drosselmeyer, Ji Young Chae and Jeffrey Cirio as Snow Queen & King, and Viktorina Kapitonova as Dew Drop.
I am very biased since this version of Nutcracker is the very first full ballet I ever saw live - on my 18th birthday, almost exactly 10 years ago, and with Ashley Ellis and Yury Yanowsky in the lead roles. But it’s still my favorite. The giant bear is iconic. The costumes and sets are beautiful. Drosselmeyer is a DILF in this version. I only wish the stage (and the company itself) were bigger so we could have a much larger corps during the snow scene and waltz of the flowers.
This week's #TemptationTuesday pays tribute to the handsome dancers at the Boston Ballet, which coincidentally starts their 2023/24 season this Thursday.

You were in this show? How was it? What an incredible show to witness that moment.
Hey,
Sorry it took me a few hours to answer I had to teach and this needed my full attention.
So yes, I was at the final US One Direction concert, it was the second concert I went to. I was in the 100 level so not on the floor but also not the nosebleeds. It was Niall's bday concert and the night of Harry's first rainbow flag run.
It was an amazing night since there was such a lovely playful attitude among the boys where they were messing around, making jokes and just having fun. During the show it was leading up to chaos happening, them all bumping into each other being cutesy and getting sillier the closer to Act My Age. That was where the birthday celebration was of Niall and they all attempted the Irish jig, pretty badly.
Regarding the Flag run, I wish I had pictures but I don't because I was taking pics of the screens mostly and I watched him sprint down the catwalk almost as if he was on fire. The crowd was so loud in that moment. The only time I've heard a crowd get that loud after it was the final larry hug. I was there with my mom, I got her into 1d in 2014, and we were both crying as we saw him running with the flag. It was so close to paradise, the crowd was so happy in that moment. I looked around my section and saw so many of us crying and happy. It was amazing. I will forever be grateful for seeing it.
