Here's and Idea. A possibly messed up & angsty AU idea.

Megatron misses Orio. Terribly. He regrets shooting & dropping him to the planet's core and wants to bring him back (and maybe refuses to believe Optimus was still his Orion). It drives him to a point where he will do anything to get him back.

Luck strikes him one day when his Decepticons find some Quintesson Technology: A device that allows cloning.

Megatron gets an idea.

Through some crazy science, the clone of Orion Pax was successfully created. The clone -we’ll call him Pax-remembers a good chunk of Orion Pax’s life before becoming Optimus, with some vague recollections of the events of TF One, but is still very similar to Orion, and that was good enough for Megatron. He convinces Pax that he is the same Orion Pax that D-16 loved. For the first time in cycles, Megatron was genuinely happy, believing that he has Orion in his life again, vowing never to lose him (and feeling more justified and less guilty to kill Optimus because, in Megatron’s POV, he's an imposter parading around in his friend/lover’s corpse).

But the honeymoon phase ends when Pax expresses a desire to step out of the confines of the Decepticon base, but Megatron forbids it out of fear of the Autobots discovering him. Things become more difficult when Pax learns about Optimus and starts seeing memories that shouldn't be possible unless he was Optimus himself.

Megatron tells more lies, always shooting down Pax’s questions about them while also growing more paranoid and possessive. He will not lose his Orion again to Optimus. He will not allow it, not noticing how frustrated Pax was becoming with Megatron.

One day, out of frustration, Pax snuck out of the base to explore Cybertron's surface. In the distance, Autobots spot him and tell Optimus about a mech that suspiciously looks like a clone of Orion Pax.

Chaos, drama, and a butt-load of angst ensues.

After playing through chapter 1 of dream bbq I've begun to think that the mannequins we see throughout the game are the mass produced bases of ENA's that either never received their ENA shell or somehow lost it, leading to them no longer recognizing their identity or purpose as an ENA, which is why they are either dead or walking aimlessly

i have come up with a new, extremely self indulgent AU for tfrb:

basically what happens is each individual character in tfp accidentally finds out about the rescue bots, whether it's through a ground bridge mishap, an intel scouting mission, even a situation where they get rescued.

this starts out with mostly autobots, because i assume griffin rock is either in autobot territory or a neutral/unclaimed area (or it's off the grid and nobody knows about it) (i think the last one is the funniest), but the decepticons also learn about them eventually.

now. here's where the funny/self indulgent part begins. none of them know anyone else knows. the autobots AND decepticons all assume they're the only one who knows about these bots, and that the team has been trying to live a normal, calm life away from the war.

team prime doesn't know optimus and bumblebee already know, and the decepticons don't know that these guys have connections to the war. and of course, the rescue bots always manage to worm their way into every. single. bot's. spark. all of them individually grow to care about the rescue bots, and independently decide to keep them secret. nobody wants their new friends to get hurt!

anyways shenanigans of course ensue because it's very hard to keep a previously extinct group a secret from all of your friends, and since everybody knows but doesn't know everybody knows it becomes a lot of ridiculous sneaking around and badly lying to everyone.

the rescue bots are SUPER confused by all these bots who keep showing up, but they pretty much just assume that someone spilled their secret and everyone after are all showing up to meet them. eventually i think they would start to figure everything out, but they don't fully comprehend that everyone has been trying to hide them from each other until some big reveal happens.

the way this pans out is probably the end of the war honestly, because again; no one wants these guys to get hurt, physically or emotionally, and if that means having a ceasefire so be it.

it bothers me so bad whenever people call bot "the replacement of paintbrush" because it so clearly tells that they cant see a character past their nonbinary gender identity and that a character being nonbinary sticks out like a sore thumb to them. like im sorry but two characters are not the same just because they share a label!! they both had unique arcs and dynamics with others and stories and it sucks that people only see them as the Enby Ones
