What are tags with many bots? I'm currently at 312 I've reported today.
I'd like to get more. It's very satisfying for me.

Update to bot blogs post
I've noticed some new trends, though this approach can change again at any time.
A recent ask (or dm?) was about the pørn bots that have such random urls that you have no idea what's waiting for you when you check out the blog. Then it's hardcore pørn!
I'm here to tell you the best way to avoid seeing that content. Well, sort of. 😕
Most of the ones I'm seeing now that have the hardcore video content all have a major thing in common: the title and description of the blog will be a first name. The same name just as the title and repeated as the description. And the pfp is typically a picture of some random woman.
But, you won't be warned what you are likely to see before you open it to confirm and report/block... because only the url shows in the notification or activity log, not the blog title. If the title showed before clicking it, you'd be clued-in by a first name as the only title. I don't know how to select the report or block option without actually opening/viewing the blog. That means that you will see some content of the latest post. If you are on your phone, you might be able to place a hand over most of the video while you use the other hand to report and block, but chances are you will still see a bit more content than you wanted. I use this method to report and block such blogs while I'm at work. 😅 Working for a government agency, I definitely don't want to be caught seemingly looking at pørn, even off-duty at lunch!
Here are some examples of urls being used and how the tops of their blogs look (dirty content not shown, for the sake of my readers).

The app or my phone was glitching when I took the pics above, so some of the random pfp's are not showing at all, but they do have some kind of pfp, of course. Here are a couple examples of what I mean about their titles and descriptions:

I cut off the posts to protect your eyes and minds. 😆 The content of the videos is exactly what you might expect. As you can see, one of the examples even has watermarks on their videos for the website they supposedly originated from.
The only way you might be warned about the content before opening the blog is if you see it in the likes section of notes on a post. If you see a like from a random url that shows a first name only for the title, it's probably one of these pørn blogs.
There's another trend I've seen lately, and it's for blank blogs that have hyphenated urls. Some of the blocked blogs listed above show examples of those hyphenated urls. There have been recent posts about this trend because some of the url names are funny. The pfp's are still women but not always close-ups. And there's no limit to the apparent age of the women in the photos. A few examples:

The abortive-rebound one I actually looked up just to report and block it, since it was shown in someone else's post about funny bot urls.
Well, there you have it. That's my update on the bots... for now.

“people who don’t block and report bots are why they’re still here” actually staff not properly dealing with them theirselves is why the bots are still here, not people who got tired of having to block and report several bots a day

Reporting bots in the asexual tag is quickly turning into my favourite hobby
It's actually kinda nice of those bots to deliver a wide variety of content. Tiddies, nutrition supplements, travel, some arabic texts. I even had a crypto post just now!
And if you're not a bot, but wrongly use the tag on a post that has nothing to do with asexuality at all, you just get caught in the crossfire. Sorry not sorry.

(continuation of previous ask) I looked at their blog just now and they actually might be a bot? idk tbh
Tumblr media
Thanks to everyone who’s brought this to my attention!
I’m pretty certain @/jyedthrry6 is a bot, they were uploading commonly reposted text posts, until somehow stumbling into lifting from my account. I think the give away to em being a bot is how they’ve reposted not just my comics, but my patreon announcement images, and images I shared on ask replies, so the same cropped images just on its own
My suggestion is just to report them for spam, cause I think it is a legit spam bot who accidentally got wind of my work 🙏🏾

Is it just me, or has the amount of porn bots spamming tags dramatically increased over the past couple of days? Like, I can't scroll through a tag for more than a few seconds without encountering numerous blatantly explicit porn links

I have a headcanon about Error that "his strings change their thickness and stiffness depending on his mood" (Um, I'm ashamed to admit that I don't know much about that setting in the canon😓)
And I love to imagine the noisy, inorganic sound of high-hardness strings rubbing against each other.
Error belongs to loverofpiggies

I don't know if anybody else following the #sherlock tag...
...is feeling the delicious irony of discovering that SO MANY NEKKID LADY BOTS are following it (and posting to it) as well.
Our Founder would doubtless have regarded this event with the usual trademark dry look, murmured "The personals are unusually... moist today, Watson," and turned his languid attention to the London society columns and the gazettes.

While the people running a "certain blogging site" might be nuking blogs of "certain people" left and right... at least they solved the bot problem, right?
