it’s kinda funny to me how that dumb scene in kiwami 1 of majima getting shot and left for dead in the harbor was basically just added as a half-assed way to explain majima not being around for a bit of the plot, but they accidentally(?) just made it seem like start of a chain reaction where majima ended up feeling slighted and heartbroken after being abandoned like that and then lashed out about it via smashing a big truck into the building kiryu was in. and yeah that isn’t inherently a romantic thing as-is but then they go and add the part where majima grabs a hostess and performatively hits on her as in-kiryu’s-face as possible, she says she’s already in love with someone, and majima lets her go immediately, no questions asked, making a big fucking point of it just to say see THAT kiryu? I appreciate when people are HONEST about their FEELINGS. people who won’t just BACKSTAB someone who CARES about them to save themselves. is that so crazy kiryu?? huh??? anyway make it up to me get down here and fight me right fucking now
#I think on another level he was sorta saying like ‘hey kiryu. you’re making it extremely clear that you don’t trust me and my intentions#and I’ve been trying to show you- over and over again- that I’d do just about anything for you and your safety#but I can’t just let my mask fall off in front of everyone- I need to keep up the unpredictable morally grey wildcard act for both my sake#AND yours. because disguising my helping you as crazy random violent outbursts and weird stalker behavior#is the only way I CAN help you. do you think it would go over well with shimano or literally anyone else if I was outright helping you out#of the kindness of my heart and fondness for you? stop being so fucking dense and look past the crazy wacky nonsense for a second and#maybe you’ll realize that all I do at the end of the day- really- is help you and put my own life and reputation on the line for you.#I am an honest guy when it comes to my real values and when I told you I wouldn’t let anyone kill you unelss it was myself- I meant it.#I’ve taken a knife and a bullet for you now. can you REALLY not see through the act yet? am I REALLY that unpredictable when you think about#it?’#that was a longer explanation than i intended but. it was difficult to put into words#I basically feel like it could be read as him implying kiryu shouldn’t backstab the people who put themselves on the line to help him#and/or pointing out that he’s never actually done kiryu dirty and has stuck to his word protecting him in the ways he can#trying to say yeah all this is a crazy act and all but when it comes down to it you Can trust me#it really makes sense when you think about it that he’d have to help kiryu/show affection towards kiryu in unpredictable convoluted ways#at that point in time because. I mean. there’s a reason he was the only person who showed up to welcome kiryu when he got out of prison#and that’s because A) he sticks to his word and his loyalty to people he cares about and B) no one else had the balls or the batshit insane#mask to wear to ward off anyone asking real questions like majima did. because ANYONE associating themselves with the supposed#patriarch-killer was a HUGE NO-NO at the time. someone important showing up for kiryu and welcoming him back outright could’ve caused#all-out warfare probably. except majima. because majima was dedicated and smart enough to use his widely-feared wildcard persona#(that everyone tended to view as incapable of having any Real agenda to worry about) to his And kiryu’s advantage#does that make sense??? I feel like it makes a lot of sense if you get it to click in your head#kazumaji#majima#kiryu#yakuza#kiwami 1#yk1#rambling

Hi friend!!! :D I hope you're having a great road trip so far (I know it's gonna be a while for you to answer this one but it's okiee take your time, just wanted to thank you for writing these amazing headcanons!! <3)
So, I'm a sucker for marriage. Can I request some headcanons about how the boys would propose to their partner?
BRAIN GO BRRRRRRRRR yes you absolutel can have these headcanons ahooga. Also thank yew, road trip was gouda. Headcanons below da cut sweet anon, thanks for your patience!
Kazuma Kiryu
Most nervous about planning the proposal, actually. Worried about where, when, and all of that. He'll be surprisingly calm during it though, much to his own surprise.
He'd pick somepalce rather intimate, definitely not the type of guy for public proposals. Honestly might just go the classic route and propose to you while the sun sets on the beach in Okinawa.
Only other person who knows any details about his proposal is Haruka. She totally contributes, like hiding the ring box in her room because she knows you won't look in there.
Majima Goro
Debates for a long time if he's going to go the typical over the top route he does with... pretty much anything else in his life. Asks Kiryu and Saejima for advice, to which they both kinda blush awkwardly and are like "How the heck would I know what to do?"
Shockingly, he decides to also go the more intimate route, although maybe less romance movie tropey than Kiryu. Probably takes you up to a rooftop the two of you relaly like to hangout at, or some other place where you both have a lot of fond memories.
Most nervous of all of the boys DURING the proposal itself. You might honestly be able to pick up on it due to his sudden fidgety behavior a few minutes before it actually happens.
Saejima Taiga
He'll keep it fairly plain and simple. No frills or lavish giant public proposals here. Saejima wants to keep it as real and genuine as possible as he sees this as essentially THE confession of a lifetime.
Won't go too crazy with planning and will likely settle for doing a date that repeats your first date together. Visiting all of your favorite spots or maybe where you had your first kiss is a good setting for him.
Might propose on a rooftop or in a park but will make sure there are no crowds nearby. He wants to be able to lay out all of his feelings before popping the question and he needs some amount of space and privacy from the world to do this.
Akiyama Shun
Total class act. Fancy dinner and all. Brings flowers and everything. Probably secretly asks the waiter to pull some strings in the kitchen for a nice dessert.
Asks Hana advice for what to do. She helps him pick out the place, ultimately. She makes him do the ring shopping though and refuses to give him input on that.
Nervous the entire time, both while planning it and during the proposal itself. Akiyama is a romantic at heart but honestly marriage was kind of always a distant fantasy for him, so it's totally crazy for him to actually be doing this.
Tanimura Masayoshi
Our boy is a MESS. Has zero idea what to do. Where the heck do people even get rings? Does it matter which knee people get down on during a proposal? He has no idea.
Spends the most amount of time out of all the boys picking out a ring. He knows this is something very special and important so he puts in the time accordingly to pick one out.
Might honestly propose at Homeland after getting them to prepare a special dinner for you both. Proposes in private though, makes eveyone leave the restaurant before he gets down on one knee because he's shy as hell.
Ryuji Goda
The LEAST nervous of all the boys about proposing. It's kind of expected for him to get married someday given his position in the Omi Alliance, so the concept has been on his mind somewhat for a good while.
Confident in his ability to pick out a ring and he will indeed pick out something very nice. Unlike most of the boys, he can plan a proposal all by himself.
Think Akiyama on steroids. It's not just a fancy dinner, it's a PRIVATE room in the nicest restaurant in town with your favorite bottle of wine chilling when you arrive. Hell, private chef too if he can find one. Gets down on one knee after dessert just as the sun is setting.
Nishikiyama Akira
Out of all the boys, he's probably the easiest to sniff out when he's planning a proposal. Tries to play it cool like everything is normal but it's super obvious when things are not normal.
Asks Kiryu for advice on places to go ring shopping, to which Kiryu is like "Uhh... Le Marche? Where else do they sell rings..." which isn't much help. Might just go ring shopping WITH you after proposing, if you're into that.
He'll wait for an anniversary or Valentine's Day to pop the question. It lets him use the holiday as a cover up for all his scurrying around making plans.
Daigo Dojima
Similar to Ryuji in that he always knew he'd likely get married at some point due to his status. However, unlike Ryuji, he has ZERO clue what he's doing. Isn't panicking outwardly but is a little palms sweaty if you know what I mean.
If he asks anyone for advice, it's his mom. He wouldn't bring it up to other Tojo Clan members and plus he trusts his mom of all people to understand him and what he's about to do. They have a pretty decent relationship and she'll be glad to see her son getting married.
With Daigo, it'll eventually go down one of two ways. If you share a home together, he'll plan a private dinner at home with just you two and send all of his staff home so you can have the place all to yourself. If you don't share a home together, he'll take you on a weekend vacation and propose the night before the vacation ends.
Mine Yoshitaka
Good at ring selecting, bad at proposal planning. He's got a pretty good idea of what kind of ring you'd want but when it comes to the act of proposing itself, he's not sure where to do it.
Would end up taking you on a very special date, something the two of you hadn't done before, like going to an opera. It'll definitely be something that requires you two dressing up. Even by Mine standards, it'll be a rather fancy affair.
After the event, he'll take you to a really nice rooftop bar late at night and that's when it'll all go down. It's semi-public but he'll still try to keep it intimate and won't try to draw attention to himself.
Tatsuo Shinada
Despises public proposals. The idea of proposing is plenty scary and he doesn't need a hundred people watching. Having said that, he's not the best at getting all fancy, especially since he can't always afford that, so planning is pretty hard for Shinada.
It's cheesy but he might just end up like putting the ring on a cupcake and giving it to you at home after spending all day together doing cute things, like going to bookstores and getting food at some local restaurants.
The least traditional of all the boys to be honest. Don't expect the whole down-on-one-knee things. Shinada's pretty spontaneous so it'll be a unique proposal for sure. Most likely man to propose with a ring pop or something.

Okay, the absolute trust Kiryu has in Majima though
Like the truck. He didn’t even flinch. In his mind, there was simply no reality in which Majima ran him over, accidentally or otherwise
We see these moments where that trust is called into question, sometimes rightfully so, and every single time, despite what either of them say, Kiryu trusts Majima implicitly and without question
Asking Majima to watch out for Daigo. Pushing back against Date’s suspicions. Not believing a single picture holds the whole story and going by himself to confront Majima on the man’s own turf. Expecting him to tell him the truth. Entrusting the Kazama family to him. Telling Date to tell Majima everything if he doesn’t make it back. The list goes on and on. And each time, Majima does as he’s asked. The fighting doesn’t matter. That’s just for fun, and Kiryu knows it. All the talk about staying alive because only Majima can kill him, and Kiryu agreeing every time. They both know what that means, and they show it time and time again. Each time Kiryu places his trust in Majima. Each time Majima makes a promise and keeps it. Each time Majima risks everything to save Kiryu’s life
But Majima riding to Kiryu’s rescue, fucking terrified he’d accidentally killed him, and Kiryu not even concerned or even really all that surprised? Of course Majima came barreling into the Diet Building courtyard in a pink fucking dump truck and ran over a bunch of government security guards. Putting it sideways and stopping right in front of Kiryu? Clearly all part of nii-san’s plan! He didn’t think to move or to run or to even be afraid. He just trusted him, just like he always does. That’s the kinda shit I live for in media y’all

I loved the question you got for Aizen and wanted to ask the same for Majima: Do you think Majima would be a toxic boyfriend? I honestly think he'd do some toxic, immature things unintentionally. What toxic things do you think he'd do or say to his partner?
Ohhh good question!! Honestly, yes I think Majima would be a toxic boyfriend, but definitely NOT for the same reasons as Aizen.
Tumblr media
TW: discussion about violence, mention of domestic violence, abortion
Majima is someone who has been through so much. Joining the Yakuza at a young age, having his kyodai in prison for 25+ years, while he himself, experienced The Hole, being Shimano's bitch while acting as a Captain for the family, then getting his own family. Life was not kind to him, and he definitely tried to make the most of it as a yakuza member.
I definitely agree with you anon, he would do a lot of toxic/immature things unconsciously, but that's because - at least for Majima, it does come out of self-preservation. He lived in an environment where it truly was one-man for himself (in a way). He had to not only be unhinged to survive it, but also become ruthless to his own men in his family. It's quite lonely, you know? He has violent tendencies, has probably killed people in his work, slapped Mirei Park when she aborted his child, let alone dating her when she was 18 and he was in his late 20s!
Majima is also someone who thinks he is better off alone for the safety of the people he cares about. We see this in Yakuza 0, Kiwami 2, Yakuza 4 and 5: He left Sunshine without telling Yuki, Youda and the other hostess, did not say anything to Makoto after the events of Yakuza 0, is implied to not have looked or sought out Yasuko (even though he cared for her deeply like an older brother), completely cut off contact with Mirei after he hit her/the abortion, and faked his death for Saejima and Kiryu's safety.
While he does care for his men, Saejima, Kiryu, etc. through his actions you can see that he believes that they're better off without him. So I think if something were to happen to his partner because of their ties to him/association with the Yakuza, he would ghost them.
Also in the Kiwami 2 Majima Construction mini game, Majima admits that he thinks he looks old and would scare off potential dates. So he's also insecure about that - I think it would make him apprehensive to be with someone if he doesn't believe them when they find him handsome.
I think if he had a partner and he wanted them to be safe without him, he would cheat on them - giving them a reason to end the relationship with him. He doesn't seem like someone to communicate his feelings at all, if anything, avoids that if possible.
Similar to Aizen, he is lonely, but Majima resigned himself to this loneliness. He decided to stay in the Yakuza, and he knew what kind of pain and hardships would come along with that. In his own twisted logic, he thinks having a partner like him would be unfair to the other person - as they deserve someone much better than him.
While he can monetarily provide whatever material gift they want, maybe some physical connection too, I think Majima would be reluctant to connect to a partner emotionally - even if he wants too. His "mask" built during his time in the Yakuza has really skewed his view of himself.
We can see with how he is with Saejima and Kiryu that he cares deeply, that is emotionally sensitive and attuned, but Saejima and Kiryu know the Yakuza life and what that entails, so Majima's "mask" is off - whether a partner can experience that is another story and how much Majima would want this partner to know about the yakuza life.
Tumblr media
Thank you for this ask! Sorry for the ramble haha. TL;DR: Majima and Aizen are both lonely men, but for completely different reasons! Majima wants what's best for his partner, and that can be in a world without him.

How about some of your favorite KZMJ headcanons? :Dc Or favorite tropes you like writing the most?
OOH MAN the hard questions!! ty!!! >:3
i love focussing on goromi and kazumi bc of those genderqueer feelings. i went on that rant the other day PFFT but it can be really hard to find characters that have a mixed/gnc presentation that aren't just treated as a joke, which. don't get me wrong, that is how goromi's introduction is treated, yet she's also given the hostess routine with a genuine conversation, which is. more than most i've seen lmao.
i think it's hard to come across online bc you don't see any of my physical mannerisms or my inner thoughts in their purest form, but my masculinity and being a man are extremely important to me - as well as my femininity, my being gnc, the days where i like settling down as a "cute girl" while never being solely that. soooo i love putting a focus on gender, presentation, the rules and what it means to break them. i will infect everyone in this series with gender if i have to (<- joke lmao)
i also love like… the interplay of majima and kiryu not necessarily taking care of themselves all the time, but absolutely putting it in for the other, and the kinds of tension that can bring when going too far to help. i do think i write kiryu in crisis more than majima - that's less trope preference though and more seeing myself in his problems a bit clearer than majima's, giving me more perspective to write from, and some of kiryu's troubles (or like, hypothetical troubles lmao) being lesser explored in my eyes
uhh hmm specific headcanons.
kiryu and majima both know JSL, but ironically it's majima who knows less - between them majima is the one with hearing problems, being another one of his complications from the hole, and another that he tries to hide. meanwhile, kiryu's generation in sunflower included a deaf kid, so it was ensured the caretakers and other kids would know at least the basics. nishiki and kiryu in particular took to becoming conversational, using it between themselves if they needed to keep things quiet, quickly flash each other a code, the works. so kiryu and majima use JSL together, not as much as speech, but it can help with keeping things quiet, or alternatively, when one of their brains is on the fritz lmao. both of them have times where they lose their speech, usually from stress, so it's nice to have signs to fall back on. (however, they can't use JSL to keep secrets from haruka, as she's learning it too!)
kiryu has kleptomania (impulse control disorder; the urge to steal is disconnected from one's thoughts on the morality of stealing, and even liking stealing at all), majima knows this, so sometimes he leaves around trinkets/straight up gifts to give him the thrill of stealing without the consequence. if he needs something back he knows he can just ask and kiryu will return it, and he trusts kiryu not to lie and say he didn't steal something when he really did.
if kiryu had to pick one favourite physical trait of majima's, it would be his face. but okay, let's say he's not allowed to do that and he has to pick any other part of majima's body? he'd say majima's back. he loves his irezumi and what it represents, not only for its intended symbolism, but also the numerous scars both physical and mental that his irezumi try to hide. he would spend hours focussing on the hannya if he could, comforting her to comfort majima in the process his next favourite trait? majima's hands. no further comment.
if majima had to pick one favourite physical trait of kiryu's, it would be his tits. this would, in fact, be a little bit of a lie. he likes the comfort of hearing kiryu's heartbeat - sometimes he has trouble feeling like he's still alive (hence my take on the zombie majima persona; it's not always a fun act) so getting to hear kiryu's life helps. but that's more embarrassing to say than just saying tits, and i mean, they are a good set of tits regardless hehehe his next favourite would be kiryu's arms. he loves that strength and, on a sappier note, those hugs.
okay i am now thoroughly brainfarting on any more to say at the moment WHOOPS 💖

Two Friends, Chillin' In a House, Five Feet Apart 'Cause They're in Denial (pt. 2/4) (part 1)
...
Neither man was sure why exactly Daigo-chan had called them over, but Majima and Kiryu were both loyal and dedicated, and they cared. so off to Daigo’s home they went.
(And wasn’t that a trip? Kid- he’s in his 30s Majima-san- could have lived at headquarters like most chairman did, and he did, sometimes, but he also recently bought a charming home close enough to be there when needed, but far enough to maintain some kind of privacy.)
(Yayoi-san had apparently never been there, something else interesting, and greatly irritating to the woman)
He’d sounded somewhat harried, and had told them the door would be unlocked, that he’d meet them in the foyer.
He hadn’t, the hall empty but for a row of shoes, and a few pairs of slippers. Both swapped out their own footwear. They may be gangsters, but they had manners.
Majima, ever nosy curious, decided to follow his ears in what sounded like the direction of the kitchen. And no, he was not ignoring Kiryu-chan pointing out they should probably wait in the entrance, he just didn’t hear him clearly, he only has one eye yanno?
He wasn’t sure what exactly he’d expected. No way was Daigo-chan cooking them breakfast. And it was very unlikely he’d hired anyone for such a casual visit.
What he hadn’t expected, as he came around the corner to a mostly open plan kitchen, was the short woman dancing about, spatula in hand, singing along with the radio and wearing one of Daigo-chan’s shirts.
It fell well down her thighs, and the sleeves were folded up to her elbows. It was half buttoned, but most importantly. It was on a girl.
Sure, he fully expected Daigo went out, got laid, had relations, he was a man, and a Yakuza man at that. Between the amount of time spent in bars and clubs, and the adrenaline, the rush, they often experienced, it was only natural.
But for him to bring one home? Her to still be there for breakfast? Breakfast she was cooking? That seemed. Unusual. Daigo was fairly private, reserved, and he didn’t trust easily.
Plus he kinda didn’t expect Daigo to own any cookware beyond the absolute basics, and those pans looked nice. The whole kitchen was nice, spacious, all the appliances, practical but fine fixtures.
And a woman.
How had this slipped under their notice?
Could she be trusted?
Executing a very adorably poor spin, she caught sight of them and froze, like a cornered rabbit.
“Uh,” her eyes darted to the otherside of the open kitchen, adjacent to them, as though hoping someone would appear to bail her out, “Hi?”
He really hoped she could be trusted, otherwise this girl was too damn good of an actress. That look was real, guileless, genuine trepidation and discomfort. Yet a valiant attempt at welcoming regardless.
She clearly hadn’t been expecting them.
“We’re sorry Miss,” Kiryu, and his sense of propriety stepping in, “We were asked to come here, by Dojima-san.”
She cringed slightly at the address, something about the Dojima name bothering her. Interesting.
“I,” she glanced back at the still cooking… he wasn’t sure what that was. Bread? “I can go get him?” It was more question than statement.
“No, that’s alright, we can wait.”
She made a sound of uncertain agreement, before turning the radio down to something barely audible and resuming tending to whatever it was she was making.
A pause, hesitance clear in the set of her shoulders, “Did you want any? I can cook more…” she trailed off.
He noticed Kiryu shoot him an odd look before realizing he’d been too on edge, out of character, for too long.
Grin spreading across his face, he slapped Kiryu’s shoulder, leaning onto the island's marble top “Hawh?! Now wouldya look at that! Lil’ Daigo-chan, all grown up! Got himself a girl!” he grinned at her, all teeth, and just the near side of dangerous, “Nah girlie, we don’ need anythin’ do we, Kiryu-chan~”
She jolted, spinning to face them once more, “Oh! It’s no-” she cut herself off with a hum, suddenly looking awkward, uncomfortable.
“No’ what, swee’heart?” his voice kept that manic tone he was known for, but had begun to dip into something almost predatory, “Does Daigo-chan know its no-”
“Yes. He does,” Daigo’s voice flat, unamused as he cut the older man off, “She is a dear friend, and honored guest, nothing more.”
Majima eyed the girl, and the shirt she wore, one eyebrow raised. And he especially took note of the way she seemed both relieved, and just barely on the fringes of his perception, hurt.
Daigo pointedly ignored him, but both his men took note of the faint reddening of his face.
“Let’s go to my office, I wanted your thoughts on a few things. And would appreciate if you’d stop harassing my roommate.”
Kiryu, while not always the most socially savvy, knew when to make a tactical retreat, “Let’s go Majima-san, we have business to go over.”
“Righ',” Majima drawled, letting himself be led away, mind whirling with thoughts over this mystery woman, and her connection to Daigo. Friend? Guest? Roommate? Which is it, Daigo-chan?
(He wasn’t sure if he was disappointed or not to learn they really weren’t fucking together. He’d hoped for some good gossip at least.)
("Years Kiryu-chan! Fuckin'. Years!" "I know Majima-san, I heard.")
(Seriously how had the kid managed to hide this, her, for so long? Even if she was in a whole other country, they apparently spoke “most days”, not even counting the letters. Fucking, letters. Sappy shit! But no. They were ‘just friends’. At least she was what she seemed, kinda a wreck, but genuine in her intent and feelings) (Even if they were both idiots in denial)

The Bit, Chapter 4: Nishiki Finds Out
[this will probably be the last WIP post for this fic, 'cause from here on out it's all massive spoiler territory :) ]
“So... wait. All this was just--”
“A bit. Yeah.”
“But now you’re really--”
“Yeah.”
Nishikiyama drops his head into his hands and groans over his plate of cod roe spaghetti. “This is too much. What the hell, Kiryu.”
“It was his idea,” Kiryu says.
Yeah, that’s fair. “You went along with it,” Majima says anyway. “Listen, Nishikiyama, I’m real sorry about all of... that.” He’s not actually that sorry and part of him wants to hang a little tiny lampshade on the fact that Nishikiyama was kind of a dick about all this too but he figures this is neither the time nor the place. “I just wanna know one thing.”
Nishikiyama gets this look on his face, this look of creeping dread like he’s bracing for the worst question ever and Majima doesn’t think it’s entirely unjustified. “...what?”
Majima nods in Kiryu’s general direction. “How the fuck did he sell ya on it?”
“N-nii-san!”
“We both know he can’t lie for shit. How’d he do it?”
“Look, I thought it was fishy too but--” Nishikiyama sputters out a laugh. “You know how sometimes you say something to him and he just kinda latches onto it and he starts talking like he physically can’t shut up about it?”
“Nishiki!” Boy, that’s an interesting color Kiryu is turning. Matches his shirt real nice.
“Ya infodumped at him,” Majima says. “About me.”
Kiryu shrugs helplessly, a silent I guess!? plain on his crimson face.
“You only do that about stuff you’re really into, y’know?” Nishiki gently punches his poor mortified bro in the arm. “Like I said. I thought it was weird but I know you.”
“Kaaaaz.” God. This is the cutest shit and it’s almost making Majima forget why they’ve got Nishikiyama here. He digs his chin into Kiryu’s shoulder and beams up at him and bats his eyelashes like a teenager. “What’d you wax all poetic n’ shit about, huh?”
“It wasn’t poetic, I just--”
“My cool outfit? My gorgeous smile? My sick abs--”
“Your cooking,” Nishikiyama says.
Majima hears the needle in his head scratch unceremoniously across whatever record is sending stupid shit to his mouth. “Haw?”
“He likes your cooking,” Nishikiyama repeats. “And how you’re always helping him with the housework and stuff.”
Majima clears his throat. “Okay. You don’t have to--”
“And how you always listen to me when I start infodumping at you,” Kiryu supplies. He’s slightly less red now and he’s got that kind of evil kind of sexy little grin. “Even if you don’t care about what I’m talking about, you still pay attention. And you ask me what I think about stuff.”
“Well--”
“And he said he likes your hair. And then you said he likes your hair, so y’know... either you were both in on something together, or you were really into each other--”
“Awright, awright, enough of that!” Majima barks. Kiryu snickers and wraps an arm around him. “We didn’t call ya over here to talk about us makin’ googoo eyes at each other, we got business n’ shit to take care of.” And thank God for that, he thinks, even though he knows he’s going to regret thinking it later.

howdy!!! can I have you answer a few questions from the ask game? if so, could you answer: A5, B6, C13, D4, E1, F10
yes!! thank you! (obligatory disclaimer that I haven't beaten Y6 or the side games YET)
A5. favorite final boss(es)?
HMMM I can't remember if lao gui was majima's final boss in Y0 but I think he was? if so then I'd definitely go with that. I just find that enemy so intimidating and I'm kinda easily impressed by the flashy QTE sequences this series is so fond of
B6. are there any characters you wish you could be more like?
not entirely bc everyone in this series is a hot mess but I do admire shinada a lot for his optimism (and ability to pull MILFs)
C13. which sworn brothers worked the best?
I love kiryu and nishiki a lot, but I think majima and saejima are the most interesting just because you get the sense that saejima belongs to this part of majima's life that the audience will never fully know
D4. which character(s) do you believe should have never existed in the first place?
I want to say either kaoru or tanimura but I think they both have a lot of potential and were both just implemented into their respective games really poorly. I'm only partway through Y6 but I'm gonna have to go with nagumo bc I can't STAND him so far lol and it kinda feels like he was just made to be shoved into the rikiya role
E1. explore: kamurocho or sotenbori?
sotenbori definitely has my preferred vibe. I kinda feel like there's less TO explore than kamurocho but I do prefer its style
F10. who would be your kyodai?
my heart says nishiki but my brain says saejima. I refuse to pick between the two <3

B5: Which character do you think you would bump heads with most if you knew them in real life?
I mean the obvious answer to this one is like, shimano and other Big Bad Guys... actually you know what let's go with sagawa because ive seen people actually like him and other than the obvious majima mistreatment going on there, his personality would make me want to curb stomp him. I also love nishitani but i dont think i could stand being in the same room as him
C4: Which character would you like to see as a protagonist?
Okay I'm going to stay Haruka; I know she was in y5 but I hate y5. I want her to beat people up.
C15: Who has the most tragic story?
Makoto Makimura I will not be taking comments at this time. Majima is a very close 2nd but I think my girl makoto is arguably more tragic
E4: Eat: Ramen or Takoyaki?
I love both but in yakuza terms, takoyaki so i can get a good cry in
F8: Which Morning Glory orphan would you adopt? (Sorry, Haruka is not an option.)
goddamn it i love all of them... and it's also weird because Haruka is the exact same age as me (born in the same year) but pretending im as old as i am and they are y3 age maybe Ayako or Izumi? But I also DONT WANT TO SEPARATE THEM i'll take them all.

You said to ask however many I wanted for the yakuza ask game so!!
A8, B1, B4, B5, C5, C11, D9, F3
sweet! I just answered B1 so I'll skip that (especially cause it was already a hard question lol)
A8) Favorite song(s)?
Zetsubouchou Pride is my fave karaoke song, Ichibanka is SO good, and I love most Receive Yous but Receive and Bite You is my fave of those
B4) Who would you like to post more about but you don’t? Why don’t you?
<Banging my fists on the table> I want more Yasuko!! I want Yasuko content from other people! I've written just a teeny tiny bit of her but I really do love her as a character, and I do intend to expand on the Yasuko content in the world once I finish the behemoth that is The Devil He Knows
B5) Which character do you think you would bump heads with most if you knew them in real life?
Discounting the villains, if I had to work with Akiyama I would strangle him.
C5) Which character would you like to see as an antagonist?
Oh it would shatter me into a million emotional pieces but we've had protag Saejima fighting Majima, so let's have a protag Majima fighting Saejima.
C11) Which character has the best taste in clothing? Who has the worst?
MAJIMA. He has the trans masc swag. I also love Zhao's look. Special mention to Kido also, I love both his goon jacket and his Evil Suit. I wish I actually knew what Saejima's taste in clothes is, because he literally just wears whatever is required or given to him, and never changes. Akiyama has the worst taste for shilling a very ugly watch.
D9) Any hot takes?
Park inspired no strong feelings in me. Y4 has more coherency to its story than Y5, also rubber bullets is not some horribly written ass-pull thing Hamazaki is just as down bad for Saejima as the rest of that man's kyoudai.
F3) Who are you inviting to karaoke?
Any combination of Majima/Saejima/Kiryu 🥺👉👈 but if I just get one then probably Saejima because I would run out of energy long before Majima and he seems like he'd be more laid back about it

The yakuza series has a lot of soap opera-like dumb narrative moments
Which one did you dislike the most so far and which one you really liked it?
My least favorite is the entire final act of y4, its soooooo dumb (i wont go into details bc of spoilers)
I really really really love the way you worded this like an english comprehension exam question it made me sit up straight. Narrative moments .... god i dont know off the top of my head the yakuza series is really good with their storylines but there was one song choice that absolutely killed me the kiryu poison knife scene in yk2 like that song came out of nowhere and didnt mesh with the rest of the soundtrack at all it made me laugh so hard... OH one i hated and talk about it all the time was the yasuko one where she got shot and kiryu was like 🧍‍♂️🤭🧍‍♂️ from like five minutes away but the camera kept cutting to him for no reason.
My favourite one though ... i think it might be when kuze was revving up his motorcycle in the sewer and breaking both of kiryus forearms with a pipe (he was literally in so much pain he couldnt stand) and then kiryu just had to fight him anyway... but enough about kuze ive been talking about him lately hmm. Oh ... i think an uncontestable scene in yakuza was when makoto started crying and majima looks up to the sky because his heart is breaking into a million pieces and the only thing he can do to lighten the blow is to ask makoto if she wants takoyaki again because thats what she asked for last time and hes hoping to hell and back that having her favourite food will cheer her up even if its just a little bit ... i dont even think takoyaki is necessarily makotos favourite food its just the first thing she could think of and majima already shot off to get it for her so now whenever she eats it shes like 🥰 thank you guy whos name i dont know

Wow you're literally the best thing to happen to this platform 🧎‍♀️
I would like to request an angst with fluff ending for Majima and reader 👀 Maybe something involving Makoto and jealousy? 👀
I'd say that it's not just one thing that instantaneously makes the reader break down. First, she notices the wistful look that Majima had when he first tells her about Makoto. Then it's the song that he sings at Karaoke that she just knows it's dedicated to her. And finally, it's when he comes back from Sotenbori acting distant and she immediately knows that something is up, causing her to just burst into tears, resigned and defeated. "Why am I even here?"
I CAN'T WAIT FOR YOUR INCREDIBLE BRAIN TO BRRRR AGAIN
First of all bless u sweet anon, and second of all my brain is going so brrr that if I were to describe it I might explode and we cannot have that. Sorry it took so long to respond to this one, I had to let it simmer in da ol' brain for a bit cuz I have too many ideas for this. Gonna be a long one so sorry in advance but also I am not sorry cuz it's Majima babey! Headcanon below da cut as always. Spoilers for Yakuza 0 and 5.
Majima isn't exactly secretive but he is selective about what he says, especially when embarking into a romantic relationship. The last time he was romantically involved, it ended in a messy divorce. Generally, a lot of things in Majima's life have ended that way so he's delicate whenever he talks about his past.
In doing so, he doesn't realize he's making you feel alienated. Whenever you do ask about his past, it's obvious that he's tense. His answers get shorter, he changes the subject faster. Initially you didn't mind. You knew about his previous marriage, even if only in so few words because he's not one to dwell on that subject. But he never told you about Makoto.
You actually first hear about Makoto via Kiryu, who didn't mean to bring it up. Maybe Majima was just having a particularly bad day and Kiryu says something like "Last time I saw Majima-neesan that upset, it was..." before trailing off. Kiryu can't lie to save his life, and eventually he spills the beans, trying to keep it short by saying "Oh, it's this girl we both knew in the 80's." but it's too late. The secret's out now.
You're not mad that he kept this from you but you're a little surprised. The two of you never had trouble talking about past loves. Even if Majima didn't necessarily enjoy the topic, he was truthful. So why hide this? When you finally confront him with the question, he completely freezes.
He'll immediately deflect with a "How'd ya hear 'bout that?" but when he realizes he can't wiggle his way out of this one, he'll sigh and finally give you the truth. It hurts him that you didn't hear it from him first. Did he plan on telling you eventually? Maybe, probably, he thinks, but secretly he isn't entirely sure. If allowed, would he have left it all buried in the past?
Majima summarizes the events as best as he can without showing any particular feelings towards the matter, but you can see the faintest glimmer in his eyes, a kind you've never seen before. It's a nostalgic ache, both a yearning for what used to be and complete resignation to the fact he could never go back. Eventually you realize that pressing him further is only making him recoil, so you let it slide with a huffy breath. Still, you can't help but wonder what was so special about Makoto that he couldn't even tell YOU of all people that she even existed?
You had nearly forgotten these nagging feelings until you saw the way Majima sang "As Long As You're Happy" at karaoke a few nights later. There was that faint glimmer again. Secretly, Majima's also bugged by his own thoughts and feelings on the matter but neither of you know what to say, if there even IS anything to say, to fix this. He sings to air out these thoughts, not realizing how it looks to you.
You manage to keep it together until Majima leaves to Sotenbori for a work related trip. He'd done this before and it should've been fine but this time it was anything but. You spent nights staring at the ceiling, images of a younger Majima hand in hand with Makoto in the streets of Sotenbori. Him with that long hair you'd only seen in photos and that suit that he doesn't wear anymore. The version of him that Makoto knows and that you could never know.
When Majima finally returns from his trip late one night, you're still lying in bed, wide awake. Normally, he would wake you up immediately and smother you with kisses but instead he walks to the nearby window and lights a cigarette, not realizing you were awake just a few feet away. Majima leans against the windowsill, exhaling heavily, his eyes completely clouded. You'd never seen him like this before.
Before you know it, hot tears are pouring down your face. Was Makoto that big of a deal that he would be acting this, as if he were an entirely different person? Maybe he was, you feared. Maybe the real Majima was still locked away somewhere in an alley in Sotenbori, grasping Makoto close as they hide from thugs, his ever watchful eye fixated on her. The thought drowned you completely.
You hadn't realized it, but your whimpers had become audible. Majima snaps out of his stupor and turns to glance at you as you lay in bed with the blanket pulled nearly over your entire face and it finally clicks. "Ah, shit, shit..." he mutters to himself as he hastily puts out his cigarette. Sure, having to think about and let alone talk about Makoto was complicated for him but he'd gotten over it before and he could do it again. But you? In his daze, he'd forgotten to think about it might've affected you and that hurt him more than recollecting a dozen memories with Makoto ever would.
He rushes to the bed. "Oi, what gives?" Majima's voice is surprisingly docile. He can tell he's hurt you but how could he even begin to approach the issue? He couldn't lie and say Makoto DIDN'T matter to him at all but what could he actually say that would help?
He prods you again with the question, to which you sit up almost violently in bed, throwing the blanket down to Majima's surprise. Your eyes are red and your face is stained with tears. Even though just before you were trying to avoid his gaze, now you were staring straight into his soul. Majima just sits back nervously, eyes wide, as you let out an exasperated "Why am I even here?!".
Majima is stunned as he lets out a meek "Well, ain't it 'cuz we're a couple 'n all?" and immediately realizing how stupid he sounded. He was deflecting again, as he always did whenever Makoto was brought up. His statement only brings you further to tears as you blurt out the one thing you had been trying so desperately not to say: "Why the fuck am I here, Goro? Just to fill some Makoto shaped void in your life?"
Only now does he finally see the extent to which this has hurt you, to which it has driven between a wedge between the two of you. Immediately, he engulfs you in a hug as you cry. Majima knows he's no saint but damn if he could go back to when you first asked and make it all right, he would.
His gloved hands grip you tightly, his fingers pressing into your skin as you continue to sob, his mind flooded this time with memories of you: when you first met, when he first let his guard down around you, and when you accepted him so immediately and lovingly that he thought he was dreaming. How could he take all of that and turn it against you without a second thought?
When he finally speaks, his voice aches in a way you'd never heard before, his accent slipping slightly. "Hey... I'm sorry. I'm so sorry... for hidin' this from you and... for only thinkin' 'bout myself. I thought I'd ruin all o' this by talkin' 'bout it... and turns out I'm ruining this instead by lettin' myself get so stuck in the past that I can't see what's right in goddamn frontta me."
Majima gently pulls you away as you sniffle in front of him. "Oi, look at me" he says as he gently lifts your chin. "My past... hell, all of me. Ya never once thought twice about stickin' by my side and I've been an ungrateful sonnova bitch. I know words can't make up for me bein' an oblivious ass, but I need ya to know this: my past, Makoto, all of it, knowing now it'd lead me here to ya, I wouldn't change a damn thing. And I'd go through it all again if it meant gettin' to be here with ya, here 'n now. None o' that matters to me anymore. You do."
You sniffle a few times before finally cracking a smile. "Ah, there we go. There's that cute lil' smile I love" Majima jokes as he pulls you in for a hug, this time smothering you in cuddles and kisses. "Hey, don't make me laugh, I'm supposed to be mad at you" you can't help but giggle. Majima kisses your forehead before laying down next to him, wiping away a few remnants of tears. "Sorry, can't help it. I just love seein' ya smile. Hell, I just love YOU."

I could talk for days about their relationship in general and how insane they were for creating Kenzan as the third game ever given the way their relationship is depicted in that game.Ishin is something else about them, too. These two can't go without having high tension that settles into something deep and emotional, becoming closer to each other than anyone else.To think it happens three times. It would be funny if they created a spinoff game that takes place in the future, and Majima and Kiryu were still like t h a t
Also worth mentioning that 3 presents you with interesting parallels to another duo in the game that really sneak by the majority of the players. That alone can wind up in a lengthy discussion. You're playing the remaster right?Looking forward to how you go through the third game!
Kenzan is the 3rd game made?? Like 1 then 2 then Kenzan then 3??
Also ah. How much of Kenzan would I understand if I played with a low level of Japanese (like can read slice of life simple manga)? I'm not sure if Kenzan has a game walk-through. Part of why I bought Ishin was its newer and there's an online guide with translations if I do happen to get stuck or not grasp some part of the story. You are making me want to buy kenzan too...
A spinoff game in the future would be. So much. Incredible.
Yes I love their dynamic a lot. I played 0 first which felt lovely as standalone stories paralleling and explaining how they grew into the men they'd go on to become. Then kiwami 1 I really liked how majima puts on acts and both attempts to help and yet has a really realistic nuanced grasp on how you need to be certain ways to not get used, not get read, be useful, etc. And also being despite all that acting, able to be More Himself and less trapped Because he knows how to navigate things better now. I'm playing kiwami 2 now majimas chunk and especially isolated it really emphazises those parts of his personality - the opening with bringing money to tojo clan to point out a bad idea, the way his own family tends to dress less like the others (he stands out intensely in that room of suits in the tojo meeting), the way he can get along with cabaret club girls he asks questions of, can get scary when needed, is searching for his own family man who ran but also investigating rather than jumping to conclusions I only played 2 chapters of his so please no spoilers lol).
Like... in the original 1 and 2 I assume he was much less clearer this way if at all, and the mad dog persona may have been nearly or all that was visible. I'm playing kiwami 1 and 2 so can only judge by that. But to me they integrated really well wirh rhe implication created in 0 that he's very adaptable and smart, but in the end Hates lack of freedom and being controlled and leads/chooses with his heart. And seeing nishitani be so intensely Himself, and also so Wild people struggle to control/play him, the way he led with his passion, and how majima certainly took from that and from makotos friend who helped her.
The scene in Kiwami 1 when he kidnaps haruka was so interesting to me for a lot of reasons. One being it's a more serious rendition of Majima Everywhere - the actual mechanic in the game, is mostly majima acting like a rival (and even a potential threat sometimes since hey this is an outside family guy learning your weak spots and clearly better at fighting you who gives up when you're good enough) but his goal seems overall to just help kiryu get strong enough TO survive because he appreciates the man and his values and wants him to survive and thrive (thats why he does give up, why he admires kiryus decisions, why he shows up to socialize in the non fighting scenarios like bowling and pocket racing - he cares about kiryus emotional state and isolation, wants to honestly connect to some degree to with someone who might even Vaguely get him and the Need for that). In their first meeting in kiwami 1 majima sees kiryus stubbornness to his values and when kiryu sees him post prison majima keeps fighting him ultimately To Help kiryu. So the scene in the battling cage is like, a reminder majima is a potential threat to kiryu. A lesson, thar even majima, even a friend, even someone who'd like for you to be okay, might not be trustworthy. Especially in their kind of lives. Might hurt you or hurt your loved ones, might use what they know against you, you NEED to be on the alert more kiryu (oh the nishiki foreshadowing). I'm sure it's also part showing Shimano he IS doing something, seeming useful ish, keeping his position secure. To be a mad dog people fear, he has to act outlandish and frightening and unpredictable and back that up. The fact though... that at the end of the batting cage scene, someone tries to stab kiryu and majima takes the knife. That majima doesn't ultimately want kiryu hurt (majima going wirh his heart) and yet saying he's the only one who gets to kill kiryu (a reminder of the lesson majima meant to teach - even he or any close person could hurt you so be prepared, and also kiryu PLEASE get strong enough to be the kind of person able to fight me and people like me, to be worthy of going against each other, live up to the dragon you used to be that I believe you can be again, the kind of man who deserves me killing him and not someone less). I love Zhao yunlan in guardian who is not much like majima mad dog wise but very much like majima in valuing freedom and leading by heart, and acting as a Part of who he is in a way to get what he wants (being informal and friendly to insult people or warm them up for info etc, able to change for his needs, but also the act is so much him it sort of Is him). So while majimas in some ways a lot more impulsive, I click a lot with how he's working his intelligence under the scenes to move toward his goals.
Theres a scene in Kiwami 2 where in purgatory after he fights kiryu, kiryu asks him for help, and majima tells him he's being played like a puppet and explains.. quickly grasping from what kiryu tells him that there's a plot, helping kiryu notice it and figure it out, and highlighting a bit how kiryu isn't always thinking in the perspective to notice manipulations like that. Makes sense, kiryus generally quite forward and stubborn. Majima though, he works angles to keep himself out of shit and being trapped again, and steers clear of getting manipulated when possible, so he's always a lot more aware of those things and how to act in relation to them than he seems on the surface. Then lol there's scenes like the bomb diffusing where he's leading on instincts and his heart. (I do think kiryus stubbornness to his values reminds majima of his own stubbornness to following his heart).
I'm in Kiwami 2 now and a much softer scene but I did the Cabaret sidestories and Majima joined the cabaret and reunited with yuki and worked with kiryu and I loved seeing them all as a team. ;-; it reminded me of the way majima was like family to the cabaret club Sunshine in 0, then to see kiryu who'd done the same in kiwami 2 get to meet THAT majima that side of him that friendly slightly silly gentler majima With people he considers actual friends like yuki was so freaking nice. I'm softhearted despite my love of action and angst lol, and I loved that little bonus at the end of that side game area. If majima construction has any similarly rewarding sidestories maybe I'll go play that side game more next ToT
Kiwami 2 comparing Ryuji and Kiryu is again really interesting from a character perspective. I expected daigo and ryuji to be the two compared in kiwami 2, based on them being introduced at similar times and in the same age range. But when ryuji met kiryu I got why okay he's the other guy on the cover, why he's a dragon, why he's fascinating to compare. (I like daigo too he's mmm interesting with potential, and like ryuji an eventual successor to a clan leadership... I Love his mom).
I'm really excited for yakuza 3! Mine seems mmm fascinating as a potential villain from the little I know, I love daigo and am happy he'll be there. I won't look up spoilers but ohhh what is the duo to look out for in 3?
And yes I'm playing the remasters. I think nearly all the yakuza games have a version on ps4 right now. I think maybe Yakuza Dead Souls is for ps3 though, but I am mmm somewhat tempted to get that too it looks fun.. just not sure I'll like the shooting combat part. I like the very simple fighter game style/action game fighting the yakuza games mostly have.
Curious of your (and maybe the general opinion on) the kenzan and ishin versions of the characters. Do they seem like ancestors, or like potentially other lives of those characters, or like alternate universes?

ooc. Question time for you, duckie ! <3 Happy Munday ! 01. What is your favorite character ( or top 3 ) in the RGG universe and why ? 02. Is there a muse or muses on your roster that you wish you could write with more? 03. What is your favorite OC that you've ever made and why? 04. Do you have any advice for new roleplayers?
Uɴᴘʀᴏᴍᴘᴛᴇᴅ ᴀsᴋ ━ ﹗
☆ Happy Munday to you too!! ♡
01. What is your favorite character (or top 3) in the RGG universe and why?
☆ I'm going with the top three! No particular order either.
So, this is no doubt and many may have seen it from a mile away. Goro Majima. Yes, I am one of those people who has fallen head over heels with him and his character. While I do enjoy his chaotic and crazy act, I do enjoy the depth to his character. Well, as the games goes on. Originally, he was suppose to be this character, who constantly fought Kiryu and had this crazy personality to him. Apparently, the devs never expected to see so much love for him that they took a step further for him and added more depth to hos character. As mentioned before, again, it's why I love him so much.
He's more of this chaotic guy who will tell at the top of the lungs, do the most bizarre things (making Nishida cut the bomb with him, slamming hos head against the desk to activate a secret way, have the whole Majima Everywhere, etc), and make people be on their toes, guessing what he's going to do next. In the end, he is much more than what we see. He is much calmer and willing to help the people around him (even if how he does things or how he approaches his men in a /caring/ way can be shitty). He is willing to put his own desires and happiness to the side for the sake of others, putting them above his own well-being. As seen with Makoto, which another factor that plays in with her is that she didn't want to deal with the yakuza no longer, and how many times Majima agreed to look after Daigo. Not that Majima didn't want to or is against the idea, but to be approached by someone you cared so much about and is consider as close to you (rather you see Kiryu and Majima's dynamic as romantic or platonic), only to be asked to do something for him. Not the whole how are you or can we hang kind of things.
There's a lot I can go on about Majima but I said the piece I wanted for now.
Next up is Takayuki Yagami. Honestly, he wasn't my favorite right away. It seems like that is sometimes my case in any sort of fandom. Certain characters ain't my favorite right off the bat, especially protagonists. I actually had Kaito as my favorite. I still do. It's more so, after going through my second playthrough of Judgement, I enjoyed Yagami a lot more. I am also a sucker for characters that can do martial arts as well as being perceptive. And I also realized how much I am a sucker for detectives too.
I know Yagami gets hate for being a protagonist. Just because people found him - as a character and a protagonist - to be bland and dull, preferring the other characters. I mean it's understandable. Not every character is everyone's cup of tea. Everyone has their likes and dislikes. To me, he's not dull or bland. He has his own unique personality going on. Sure, he does run off to do things on his own from time to time. At the same time, he knows when to rely on the group of people he is with. As seen repeatedly throughout both games. He isn't entirely alone and he is aware of his strength and weaknesses. Yes, he makes his own mistakes. We all do. He also is willing to help those in need, especially giving justice to those who cannot get the justice they want anywhere else. He understands that sometimes the justice system is flawed and can have its loopholes. As seen with his parents' death or with Okubo or with the story of Lost Judgement. He is aware of it and he is actively trying to make it better and fair for everyone. He knows this. He is aware.
And for the last one, Tianyou Zhao. To be perfectly honest, as much as all the characters are adored in LAD, not one had became my top favorite. The one where I can actively point and be like, "yes, that's my absolutely favorite." The closes I'll get is Ichiban and Nanba. Just cause I loved them both and their dynamic is somewhat similar to how one of my irl best friends and I are. She's more so Nanba and I'm Ichiban, though if I wanted to have a RGG dynamic describe our friendship better than those two, it would be Yagami and Kaito's dynamic. I do not know how many times she would say something and a few seconds later, Kaito would say the same thing, which results in us bursting out laughing.
Back to the point, it took me a while to warm up to anyone else. Once I did, I immediately enjoyed Zhao the most. The way he sounds so playful and ready to be unpredictable, only to have a softer side to him. I know people say he's Majima 2.0 and I can see it, but he's not Majima 2.0. Yes, the two characters are similar. Both puts up a front to avoid being manipulated and to avoid people seeing the softer side to them. The more you get close to them or if something serious goes down, they drop the act. At the same time, Zhao is much more softer. He is his own person. He tries to act all tough and try to set examples, but he simply can't. Unlike Seong-hui, who can ruthlessly do things, Zhao can't do it. Such as when it came to Mabuchi. Despite the amount of times Mabuchi showed how he is, Zhao cannot push past the fact that the two are - if not, were- great friends. Out of everyone, Mabuchi knew Zhao best as Zhao to Mabuchi.
Sneaking in a fourth one cause I realized how much I loved him. Shusuke Kenmochi. To be honest, I was iffy on him when we were getting introductions for the characters before the game was released. It's not like I hated him or disliked him. He didn't appeal to me as much as a few other characters did. It wasn't until I was going through The Kaito Files and talking to one of my friends about my journey through that I realized Kenmochi had became my favorite. My friend even screenshot that very moment too. It's ironic too cause the same friend muses him and said he didn't mind tossing the character my way.
02. Is there a muse or muses on your roster that you wish you could write more?
☆ In fact, I do!
Funny enough, one of them is Miss Tatsu. I added her a while back as well as gotten a good feedback on doing so. I'm so off and on with her. Like, there are moments where I get random burst of wanting to rp with her, only to be sitting there, unsure what to do with her. Like, I have everything set in stone for her. Her background, how she is throughout the games, etc.
Another one, which is surprising to see, is Tesso. Much like Miss Tatsu- or rather, kinda - I have nearly everything set down him. The only thing I wanna flesh out is how he knew of Zhao and how the White Mask came to be. I do have a few ideas to. For Tesso knowing Zhao, I am actually bugging a friend about it. I love to bug more people and bounce ideas off of as well as build that up with others. Both knowing Zhao and the White Mask as well as anything else. I genuinely hate to ask for such things because I don't want people to feel pressured to do something they aren't interested in doing.
The other is Mikiko Sadamoto. I do not know how many people went through the DLC but I want to use her more.
For OCs, it'll be Shido, Mei-Xing, and Torio. For the longest, I want to figure out what to do for Shido. I want to give her a kyoudai, given she is a yakuza or once a yakuza. Plus, I love to use her more.
Mei-Xing is a new OC. So, the urge to use her more is strong. Pluuuuus, much like Tesso, I want to explore the whole White Mask Branch, especially given she is a member.
For Torio, I do not know what to do. All I know I want to plot and use her more.
While she is not a muse I wish to use more because I am already using her more, I do wish to use Xiuying during her hostess era.
03. What is your favorite OC you've ever made and why?
☆ I have some. Many aren't on my roster because I literally have no spark to use them and they'll be sitting there, collecting dust.
One of my oldest OCs, Rikuto Ikeda. Half fox demon, who all I can say for his personality is much like Ichiban's. Optimistic on life, doesn't care what others think of him, want to help others, etc. Just him being so wise yet being a himbo is so enjoyable.
Another is Maddox Courtland and Ace Thornton. Both share the same universe with each other. Maddox is your typical lone wolf with a lot of tragic events happening in his life. I love how much I put into his character. Out of all my OCs, he takes the number one spot of having so much information on him. The second place is given to Xiuying. Anyways, Ace is a dumbass that is enjoyable. I can't say he is a himbo because he is not massive in size or height. Just this twink who can and will hit you with his spears yet capable of controlling blood. He has the most plot out storyline with a friend.
Kitty is another. Originally she stemmed from three places. One is to have a character who wanted to learn most of her skills because she wanted to, another is from an inspiration, and the third stemmed from another OC. I was afraid she may be another OC and was determined to make her own character. Now, look where she is.
Xiuying is, of course, on here. As mentioned before, she has a lot of information on her. I spent a lot of time plotting with others for her as well as just dump information publicly so everyone can read. Even used her a lot and determined some things about her. Xiuying is just this motherly yet blunt person you can go to. You can get comfort yet don't have to get stuff sugarcoated for you.
Torio is going to be my new favorite. Just because she came from a dream. I was dreaming that Higashi had a sister and she was like my best friend. So, I woke up and promised a few people more information on her, which I followed through. Now, look where she is. She seems so sassy yet does care for others.
Oh, three more!! Omar, Jordan, and Nouveau. All share the same universe. The whole concept of the universe is much like Men In Black, but much darker and, of course, different. Omar and Jordan are trained soldiers, who takes down any unfriendly aliens, who decided to either destroy mankind or take over Earth or any of that sort. Nouveau is actually an alien. I love Omar because he is gloomy and is done with everything. Much different than how I normally do with my OCs. Jordan is a bit more fruity and eccentric. He's more out there. The fact that both are on the same team too, which makes it better.
Nouveau, on the other hand, can and will backstab you, regardless of what you do for her. If you no longer benefit her, you are a goner.
04. Do you have any advice for new roleplayers?
☆ I am not the greatest at advice. So, forgive me for this.
Have fun, set your boundaries, have fun, take rping as a hobby, did I mention have fun? Cause this is about having fun. To write with others, share your love for the characters, and creating memories with others. It is your blog and do what makes you comfortable. I know it's a bit hard, given some people can be trashy by pressuring you - as in the new rpers- to do something or get all worked up over you saying no or something along those lines. There are treasure to be found in the rpc and cherish those treasure. ♡

since you offered,,,kazumaji headcanons in relation to haruka? i've read more fics that pretend she doesn't exist than fics that acknowledge her. Like. Kiryu can't truly be a DILF if he isn't a dad. Why would you deprive Majima of a hot DILF??? He's lost enough let him have SOMETHING
oh hell ye we appreciate Haruka in this house B) tbh I'm guilty of not including her in my fics because I have like zero plot and go straight to smut BUT I do include her sometimes in my dumb comics
Haruka is a lil troublemaker cuz I hc her with more of a personality than just good girl with troubled upbringing so I think she's a lil shit sometimes just like Kiryu and only made worse by Majima lol
she knows her two dads are goblins @ each other so she'll join in on that like helping Kiryu with pranks because he's hopeless. She'll prank them on her own to get back at them for being cringey old men
Majima absolutely loves Haruka and Kiryu trusts him fully except for times when he's showing her knife tricks or how to dislocate bones. It takes her awhile to get used to Majima - especially after the whole kidnapping and beating Kiryu up constantly thing but eventually understands their weird ass dynamic. She's learned a lotta street smarts from Majima, some of which she doesn't tell Kiryu because she's not allowed to curse like a sailor at home
when she's a bit older, she constantly helps Kiryu with his phone and other techy stuff. She'll sometimes make shit up when Kiryu asks about text slang Majima sends him and she just doesn't have the heart to tell him what some things really mean
Majima always has his lackeys watching her when she's out and about to make sure she's safe. She's had to get on Majima's case about it so they compromise by letting her have bodyguards but at least at an arm's length. Speaking of which, Majima and Kiryu definitely taught her some self defense and I can imagine her fighting style would be something like defensive counters and kicks
Majima fake kidnaps Haruka to get her out of chores and also gets a free fight with Kiryu (credit to my friend Prin for this one!)
she has a collection of toys from UFO catcher that both of them got for her whenever they go to the arcade. Majima's better at the game and Kiryu doesn't appreciate him bringing that up whenever Haruka's playing with her plushies
she takes care of the goobers often when they're incapacitated like if they're passed out drunk or sick. Majima will happily accept the help cuz he thinks it's cute while Kiryu will rant about how a kid shouldn't be taking care of an adult and then she'll shush him up with a warm blanket and medicine
Majima’s a better cook than Kiryu so he spends a good chunk of time in the kitchen helping Haruka make food. She’s very strict on making sure he doesn’t sneak in taste tests before everything’s ready
because of her yakuza ties, Haruka grows up very worldly and more mature than most. Kiryu's not fond of that but it is what it is given her circumstances. She has to work hard to convince him she's not a baby and can handle things on her own and that includes talking about heavy stuff Kiryu would prefer to clam up about
I LOVE Haruka and Goromi interactions so I think she'd be very accepting of Goromi tho of course may have some questions that would garner some awkward answers but that's ok. They do a lotta funtivities together like paint nails and do hair and rope Kiryu into it too. They do a lotta karaoke together <3
