Could I get a flag for a common bottlenose dolphin therian? Thanks if you do ^^!
Tumblr media
Common bottlnose dolphin flag! The colors on the flag represent beaches and shallow water where dolphins swim, as they live in the tidal zone. I made the circle within the therian symbol into 3 separate crescent shapes which are supposed to resemble dolphins, especially when they leap out of the ocean.

Has anyone else played ecco the dolphin? I used to have a Sega genesis and I played echo the dolphin ALL THE TIME. I didn't even do anything I just vibed as a dolphin lol. I was just sitting there like a foot from the screen just swimming around as a dolphin wishing i WAS the dolphin. Now that I know I'm a dolphin therian it makes a lot more sense.

I am a werewolf. This is not a kintype, I am physically a werewolf. I’ll still post under the werewolfkin tags because I feel like werewolfkin can relate to my experience. I am a therian and otherkin but stuff relating to that can be found on my main blog, @confused-canid where I interact from. I appreciate the use of tone tags for me!
Tumblr media
This blog is for me posting about me being a werewolf, or werewolf related things! This could be my selfships, art writings, etc.! My tags are: #Running with the wolves🐺 - Talking with my mutuals! #Howling at the moon🌕 - Original posts that are text! #Weird little claw marks✏️ - My art! This will usually be paired with text so it will be tagged as #Howling at the moon🌕 and as #Weird little claw marks✏️! #yapping back🌙 - Responding to asks! #Tasty posts🦴 - reblogs relating to this blog but not therian related or my own (usually used for posts I’m saving for later), #Rabies🥩 - Gore, animal death, and other things that make me hungry, #Home🌲 - Heart-home (Vancouver island) stuff, #Mother🏹🦌 - Artemis worship related things, #Little wolf🐾 - Agere posts (rbs and original ones

I would like to offer this resource for therians, an extensive list of all of Sir David Attenborough’s nature documentaries that are available on soap2day, and a full list of what species* they each (notably, prominently) feature the natural behaviors of, separated by episode, and omitting species that were only shown dead, juvenile or being predated on. This took me a while (I have been working on it since Prehistoric Planet’s release) because I did in fact have to watch every single series in full in order to list all the species and the episodes are around 50 minutes long, but enjoy.
Long post ahead:
Most of these shows have closed captioning, which is why I’ve picked soap2day. Planet Earth is the only one that doesn’t. I did not include Dynasties and Dynasties II because each episode only features one species.
Thank you to Birch (@ambiguousmutt) for his help (he watched about half of the episodes) so I didn’t have to do it individually. Credit goes to him as well.
*Sometimes Attenborough doesn’t say the specific species and I was too busy trying to get through the episodes to identify it. In those cases I just put the most specific name I could.

Ngl Dolphin phantom shifts for me, are hella weird. Like, when I'm walking I'll feel the tail where it would be for any other phantom shift of mine, on the lower back (don't know if that's the right part but you guys would probably know what I'm talking about.). But when I'm sitting, it's my legs that become the tail but my tail will be bent really weird if I sit normally, so I'll do really weird stuff with my legs so that having a tail instead of legs makes sense for my mind. Also I'm very sad that I can't perfectly imitate dolphin vocals. Very sad.

Fun to see therians from certain clades with a famous type species but they're not that species. But it is annoying to be mistaken or to have every therian in your clade be that species when you go looking for others.
Fox therian but they're a Darwin's fox, has to explain every time that they're actually not a red fox. Ethiopian wolf therian who has to explain that this is actually something different from a grey wolf. Rough-toothed dolphin who has to deal with exclusively bottlenose dolphins being in all the tags and Discord servers, like people won't even specify their species because dolphin is culturally synonymous with bottlenose dolphin. Me being a black-shouldered opossum and people literally not even knowing there are other kinds besides Virginia opossum. Man.

Sam's tracker isn't sending anymore signals and I'm so fucking sad rn (Like, I literally want to cry wtf). But, when I got a new dolphin to track I got a male bottlenose dolphin named John! He's a BOTTLENOSE!!! MY DOLPHIN THERIOTYPE!!! HE'S ME!!!! So, I'm tracking a dolphin of my species, and a friend! (Sam is a rough toothed dolphin, for clarification. The friend is a mutual of mine on here, @joyfulbounds (an Atlantic spotted dolphin therian)! John is also one of the only four bottlenose dolphins they have tagged)
