once again thinking about zelda and link’s relationship following botw.

link remembers nothing. only a scrap of memories and how to fight. he bought a house, he has his horse, he met a prince. he jokes and laughs and cooks and talks back and is all the things he never was before. he seems happier now. zelda’s stomach curls with guilt at all the years knighthood stole from him.

she once asked him if he hadn’t been born into a family of royal knights, would he have still become a knight. even reborn, with no knowledge of his past, he’s returned to his post. zelda isn’t sure how to feel. grateful he’s still with her? or sad he still couldn’t make it out?

link remembers everything. but now he jokes, he talks back, he laughs, he cooks… why didn’t he act like this before? was zelda really that distant that she didn’t notice the sparkle in his eyes when he spotted a herd of horses? the shake of his shoulders when she stumbles over a stone? the smile on his cheeks when she rambles about dragonflies?

link remembers everything. he remembered his duties but he still built a life for himself. is that what he wanted all along? is he happy?

Can I see all the different Links' scars? It's interesting to see how people design them.

Here are the boys' scars, I couldn't finish them all so I hope to do them soon!

I hadn't thought about showing them, spirits rarely show themselves shirtless (except Twilight), but I think it's nice to show them to you, furthermore the scars are both symbolic and some represent the fatal blow

Sky has two scars on his back, he was an exceptional knight and nothing and no one could hit him from the front, but instead he received his fatal blow from behind, but we talk about it better in their backstories

Time was pierced by arrows in his chest (therefore it is symbolic because theoretically he died and could not have had that scar, and it also represents what wound him the most "sentimentally") the other scars he obtained in war

Twilight has some old scars on his left side, which he got during the battle with Ganondorf, while his scar from the fatal blow is all around the Shadow Crystal

Wild has many scars on his left side, obtained while protecting Zelda from the Guardians (Botw) he also received his fatal blow in the chest

What's the premise of your cycle of the stars au?

It’s based on a theory i had about botw back before the game was released, essentially: why does link wake up alone in a tank of water with no memories? what if it was because he didn’t even exist before that point?

In my au, the holder of the triforce of courage never appears; and Zelda, knowing the prophecy that talks about the wielders of Wisdom, Courage, and Power, bioengineers a synthetic Hylian to play the role of Hero and right the balance of the world (that ofc being Link in my au).

So fun fact—I’ve really only played OOT, BOTW, and TOTK. I’ve watched the cut scenes and played the demo of AOC, but that’s actually it as far as Zelda games I’ve played!

So when you guys piece together all the history and hidden gems and connections from previous games, it delights my soul because it’s all very much new to me and I am here for this wealth of lore. 💖

Here’s the fic I wrote for @cooking-with-hailstones for the Loftwing Letters event, hosted by @zelinkcommunity !

Summary: Zelda has been dropping hints for months now. Nothing too blunt, but obvious enough for Link to have noticed. So why hasn’t he proposed yet? Does he not want to get married and have children with her? Do they really want different things for something so important?

When Zelda confesses she has concerns about her and Link’s future, Sidon is there to listen. And maybe Link will have something to confess, too.

OkAY Echoed of Wisdom I'm cautiously optimistic? I didn't like TotK at all and I gotta be one of its biggest haters for various reasons, I actually hate the fact EoW is getting released a little over a year after the damn game cuz it's feel....odd? Like it says a lot of things to me about devlopment and that looming question of like is this in response to people wanted to play as botw zelda and then they.....its a lot you know

Anyways if I hear good things about it from non critics I might just get it! Legally that is
