IT IS BANDCAMP FRIDAY... maybe the last ! Today is Bandcamp Friday, a sale on the first Friday of each month when music provider Bandcamp eliminates fees typically charged to musicians who sell music on the site. Bandcamp is an artist-friendly site where musicians earn exponentially more than they would on streaming music services like Apple Music or Spotify. Buying from the Bandcamp is a great way to support local, independent artists. So if you would like to support us (or any others musicians and records label !) 👉 BANDCAMP ! Make sure you check out our merch page, we still have vinyls, shirts and cassettes available: concretecollage.bandcamp.com/merch All our digital releases are on Bandcamp only and we decided to put as "name your price" most of our digital back catalog during this buıʞɔ‾ɟ period : concretecollage.bandcamp.com Alternate link : bit.ly/ccollage Be free, pay what you want. Thanks for your support anyway, enjoy life as much as you can in those trouble times. Be braindance and take care 🤘 Julien Stazma & Olivier Ohm #bandcamp #bandcampfriday #supportyourartists #supportyourlabels #suppoyourlocalmusicstore #supportyourscene #supportbandcampartists #boycottamazon #boycottspotify #supportyourlocalbusiness #braindance #punk #breakcore #concretecollage #concretecollagerecords (à Lyon, France) https://www.instagram.com/p/COlQxenhK47/?igshid=crkyf71vigrp

if there is one company that deserves to go under in 2020, it's @spotify...not the artists, not the venues, not anyone who makes a living from creating music. this vulture of a co-opting organization deserves to be scapegoated + unsupported, especially this year. it's unfortunately not going to happen though, because people keep subscribing to the service + it's backed by major labels (who are always happy to get their cut of the profits). but it would be nice to witness their demise. #boycottspotify #defundspotify #killspotify https://www.instagram.com/p/CIUAGn-HzY_/?igshid=1l7n5f6zausq6

I have been thinking about this for a long time, and have decided it's time to start taking the necessary steps to achieve this vision. I do this not only for myself but for all musicians and all listeners that realize the importance of supporting the artists there are so special to them. Please fill out the form on my website which is linked in my bio. #savior #musicians #recordingartistscollective #recordingartists #musician #guitar #boycottspotify #boycottamazon #savemusic #streaming (at New York) https://www.instagram.com/p/BuxArednaGt/?utm_source=ig_tumblr_share&igshid=uzwu7m1rnxsk

Why music artists are upset with the CEO
Why music artists are upset with the CEO
In November, Spotify cofounder and CEO Daniel Ek revealed he was backing Helsing.ai, a European artificial intelligence company that develops national security and defense sector technology, to the tune of 100 million euros ($113 million). That news has since caught the ire of many social media users—including music artists and Spotify subscribers—sparking a movement to #boycottSpotify over its…

From here
"Digital Music News reported the investment in Helsing after Ek announced it on November 9. Ek is also joining Helsing’s board after the investment. Helsing says its AI tech will be used for “defense and national security” to provide “information advantage for democratic governments and “keep liberal democracies from harm.”
Many Spotify users are angry and jumping ship to competitors for their music streaming. The hashtag #BoycottSpotify is trending on Twitter, where several artists have promoted the cancellation of their accounts.
“#BoycottSpotify now! Cancel your subscription today. Artists and music lovers must not support the military AI industry. Register your anger at the Spotify involvement in sponsorship of Arms Corporations. This is so vile. Music is NOT war. Just wrong on every level,” tweets Darren Sangita, a music producer.
“AI means using computers to process information a hundred times faster, so they accurately deliver a higher kill ratio,” Sangita told Resident Advisor. “Music is being used as a weapon. I can’t sign up to that, so I’ve already unsubscribed and now plan to take all my music down from Spotify. We believe in music as a powerful tool for peace; otherwise, it’s a complete contradiction of our music philosophy.”
