I’m not massively involved in the YR fandom. I scroll from the sidelines every now and then, but I needed to make this post, add a voice to this Nurbo drama. I genuinely think the way some fans are treating/speaking about him is vile and disgusting.

From what I can gather, he made a joke on Twitter and everyone lost their minds about it. Literally a bit of ribbing/banter aimed at people he is close with/speaks to/hangs out with in real life. It should not have escalated in the way that it has.

I understand some fans are very young/fiercely protective of Omar and Edvin but they need to stop and think about the fact that what they’re doing is attacking a human being for making a joke….

And If you don’t have the decency to stop just from a human stand point. At least think about how your ‘fave’ would react if you spewed such awful hate to Nurbo in-front of them (though it’s sad that this argument needs to be made, the human argument should be the end of it).

Do you really think you would endear yourself to Omar if you shouted insults at Nurbo in-front of him? A man who he is constantly seen with, shares special events like birthdays with, a man who he holidays with, whose family he is close to, who he shares clothes with, who he may live with….a man he might be dating - whether Nurbo is just one of his best friends or his current romantic partner do you really think Omar (or Edvin for that matter) would give you even a tiny bit of their time if they knew you were being so vile to Nurbo?

The answer is no, and if you don’t know that then you really need to look at yourself. It may be easy to get caught up in the fervour of ‘drama’ but sometimes you just need to take a step back and think about the fact that there are real human beings involved in all of this.
