Need to rant for a second - does anyone else go feral about Granada Holmes's character development in season one??! Like:
Dancing Men
"He doesn't come to me for sympathy." In the beginning he's more interested in the cypher than anything.
Being generally disinterested in Hilton Cubitt's backstory "then explain - and come to the point!"
Watson having to whisper in his ear to ask the cook to sit down.
Vs Norwood Builder, where
He's restraining himself from offering his client reassurance because Lestrade is there. From the first moment, he is absolutely there to HELP his client, not just to solve a mystery.
In fact WHEEDLES MORE TIME out of Lestrade so he can hear the full story before MacFarlane is arrested.
Immediately asks the housekeeper to sit down and is wrong-footed when she point-blank refuses
Even his reaction to failure! In Dancing Men, when it's clear they're too late he goes cold with anger and does his utmost to, at the very least, prove the widow innocent. In Norwood Builder, when the evidence keeps going against him, he sinks into full despair, and needs Watson to pull him out of it!
Just... *gnashes teeth, shake fist* BRETT!! I've seen discourse before on Watson's growing confidence in his deductions and sort-of-apprenticeship with Holmes, but like. I love Holmes's journey too!

Any interest in grading everyone’s first day of free agency? Would love to hear your thoughts!!
ooh okay ! well as tuned in as i am i didn't catch everything so this is going to be pretty incomplete/fairly uninformed but here's my attempt:
boston bruins: that zadorov contract LOL AND LMAO (i say as if hes not going to immediately skyrocket to excellence.) that lindholm contract might be even worse with the same caveat. A+ for me, a hater
buffalo sabres: what did they even do? C.
detroit red wings: kane is a bad move + jack campbell is fine at that contract + cam talbot is the epitome of "goalies? what's up with goalies?" + why do they have 4 goalies now. C-
florida panthers: lost montour, lost oel, lost lomberg. that reinhart contract is really good though. C+
montreal canadiens: if slaf continues on his upward trajectory that contract looks great; if he doesn't, they're already bad so it doesn't matter all that much. B
ottawa senators: what did they even do? get noah gregor? i hear he's very fast. C.
tampa bay lightning: where do i even start with this one
toronto maple leafs: the problem w/ all of the leafs' acquisitions is that they are Fine, some of them even Good, but they're just overpaid enough for me to not only get annoyed about it but also see 30 ft of insufferably rancid discourse every time i open twitter. B+
carolina hurricanes: appear to have lost half the guys i remember being on their roster, but the one dude they did end up signing was one of the small handful of good deals i saw handed out today. C
columbus blue jackets: this team's quality does not matter. you know what does matter? gaudreau/monahan reunion. A
new jersey devils: brett pesce's good. B+
new york islanders: anthony duclair's good but i mourn what lou lamoriello will make him do with his hair. C+
new york rangers: what did they even do. C.
philadelphia flyers: MATVEI MICHKOV IS COMING. TELL YOUR FRIENDS, TELL YOUR ENEMIES, TELL TRAVIS KONECNY, TELL EVERYONE!!! A
pittsburgh penguins: incredibly committed to the bit of only signing players over 30 and they don't have poj back yet. C
washington capitals: genuine home runs in here. chychrun... pld... matt roy... didn't even give out valuable picks to acquire these assets! A
chicago blackhawks: i think they're trying to crawl out of this rebuild with no other serious potential core members other than bedard, which don't get me wrong is a bad move, but i also think they're not doing a terrible job of crawling out of the rebuild. B
colorado avalanche: kept jo drouin. C+
dallas stars: lyubushkin is incredibly bad and they gave him 3.25 aav. and casey desmith is there. F
minnesota wild: extended one of the sexiest toothless men on earth jake middleton. A
nashville predators: A+
st louis blues: what did they even do. C
utah hockey club: that durzi price is a bit steep but hey, if you've never had the money before i guess you might as well spend it. also sergachev was a BALLSY move i will miss you my cunty mistress. also we (the nhl) have a fucking iginla again... for our health. we need an iginla. B-
winnipeg jets: what did they even do. C
anaheim ducks: what did they even do. C
calgary flames: sharangovich extension + anthony mantha. tidy bit of business. zayne parekh YOU are the 2025 calder trophy winner. C+
edmonton oilers: managed to get a couple good players on nice cheap contracts, improved their rush game even more somehow, and will have to re-print their goalie's jerseys because they now have two different guys named skinner. A
la kings: gave joel edmundson nearly 4 million dollars a year. D
seattle kraken: stole brandon montour from florida. B+
san jose sharks: unlike the hawks, seem to be actively prepared to break out of the rebuild and trying to do it. toffoli? great! wennberg? a little overpaid but they're trying to hit the cap floor at this point so it's quite good! rumours of pavs return to san jose but you didn't hear it from me. B+
vancouver canucks: jake debrusk is gonna be a good linemate for petey imho. the hronek and myers contracts were a little rich but honestly they seem to be a lot more coherent ideologically than they were just a couple years ago. B
vegas golden knights: basically lost every remaining original misfit/otherwise quality forward in an effort to keep marchessault, and then lost marchessault anyway to the Power Of Divorce. and now they have ilya samsonov as their starting goaltender. F

The Establishment’s Scandal Scam Tactics Won’t Work Anymore
Tumblr media
The regime media is circling around Pete Hegseth and Donald Trump’s other outsider appointees to do the bidding of the establishment to make sure the status quo stays safely undisrupted. But this is a new game, and they are running the old playbook. With Hegseth, it’s alleging a sex scandal that’s no scandal at all. They do it by selectively quoting from a police report that led to zero charges and by ignoring the myriad facts within that would cause most fair-minded individuals to conclude this was a hookup instantly regretted by a horny wife whose husband and kids were just a few hotel rooms away. The regime media reports, of course, exclude the many exonerating details that recovering lawyer Megyn Kelly in particular has gone over in-depth and which totally exonerate the nominee. They don’t care about the truth; they want to frame him to stop him. But you know what? This kind of smear does not matter anymore to anyone who matters.
If you remember the Brett Kavanaugh confirmation hearings, you saw a bunch of wavering Republican senators who failed to dismiss the ridiculous claims against him out of hand. It’s easy to waver when you lack a spine; they almost did what Republicans usually do and defaulted to assuming the credibility of what appeared on the tube or the front page of the regime media. The wacky charges were all over the three networks, all over the New York Times and Washington Post, and all over cable, too. And the squishes were on the verge of panic and rout. Only Kavanaugh’s refusal to quit and Trump’s refusal to back down saved the nomination.
But this time it’s is different. It’s six years later, and everything has changed. The first change is that all but the weakest Republicans seem to have figured out that the Democrats’ go-to plan is to smear our nominees because they cannot win on the merits. We saw that from Russiagate all the way to the ridiculous criminal cases against Trump that are now in the process of finally falling apart completely. It was all lies, all the time, and the Democrats – with their regime media catspaws – had no compunction about destroying their political enemies. Even the dumbest GOP senator is eventually going to wonder why the wolf the Democrats are always crying about never seems to show up.
But the key change is that the regime media ain’t what it used to be. It used to be all-powerful, but it is on the way to being all over. Quick, name one of the three networks’ nightly news anchors. Just one. Most folks have no idea who any of them are, but back in the day, any non-comatose adult could identify Walter Cronkite, David Brinkley, Peter Jennings, or even a pre-being caught lying Dan Rather. When that scuzzy weasel got beat up by some babbling weirdo in 1986, he was culturally important enough for REM to write what turned out to be its last good song, “What’s the Frequency, Kenneth?” Now, you wouldn’t know a news anchor if he came up to you with a sign reading “Will Work for Nielsen Rating” – well, maybe you remember David Muir because he intervened in the debate for Kamala Harris. I think he might be a news anchor. I don’t know. Maybe he’s a different type of jerk.
And how about The View? Who watches that? Only SSRI-ridden suburban wine women who are always going to support the commies anyway. And the cable networks? CNN and MSNBC’s ratings are totally in the toilet. They would be thrilled to get a million viewers out of 330 million Americans. Johnny Carson averaged 17 million a night when America had half the people. He mattered; these nobodies don’t.
This Hegseth faux-scandal may be a huge deal in the regime media, but who’s watching the regime media anymore? This last election wasn’t the regime media election. Since the mid-50s, television and newspapers have dominated the discourse and set the narrative during our election cycles. Now? Now, it’s Joe Rogan. Now, it’s any number of podcasters. Now it’s Elon Musk by creating a truly free public square in the form of Twitter—I just can’t call it “X.”
Those crazy kids today – the Millennials and Gen Zers – don’t even watch TV. Have you seen young people today? They’re not sitting in front of the boob tube. They watch short clips on social media or YouTube and get their long-form info from podcasts. And the podcasters aren’t from the regime media. They’re the guys the regime media guys tried to exile. It’s like high school – the nerds may run student government, but they’re not getting invited to the party. Joe Rogan is at the party, and he’s slamming beerbongs over by the keg.
So, we have an interesting phenomenon. We have the regime media trying to gin up a bunch of salacious nonsense about Pete Hegseth and stuff about Tulsi Gabbard and RFK, Jr., as well. But you know who is seeing it? People who are never going to vote for us anyway. We will never get votes from people who subscribe to the Washington Post or the New York Times. We will never get votes from people who watch The View, Good Morning, America, or any of those nightly news programs if anyone does watch them. We’re never going to get any MSNBC viewers, and the only CNN viewers we are going to get are people who watch clips of Scott Jennings owning his communist tablemates every night on that godforsaken channel.
Now, the problem is that some GOP senators probably still watch that stuff. They still care what the WaPo says, although to a much lesser extent than even six years ago. They might get the false impression that there’s some sort of outrage tsunami sweeping the nation about Hegseth’s seven-year-old one-night stand. But there’s not. It’s nothing. It’s a non-happening. If you go out on the street and talk to normal people, about one in one hundred will be aware of Pete Hegseth and his unrepentant heterosexuality. That’s what Republicans need to understand. What they’re seeing is an illusion. What they’re seeing is a scam, a Jedi mind trick designed a convince them that people who aren’t weirdos, losers, or mutations care about this pseudo-scandal.
The problem for us is that all the Republicans have to do to prevail is be smart and strong. Sadly, for a few Republicans, these are still a couple of adjectives too far. We’re not where we were 20 years ago, ten years ago, or even six years ago, when you had a huge craven caucus within the Republican Party. Now, only a few are really weak. Lisa Murkowski is always terrible. Susan Collins is the best we will ever get for Maine, so I don’t hold that against her. But there are folks like Tom Tillis, James Lankford, and John Cornyn, who never miss a chance to try to get some fleeting praise for sticking Republicans. They will tug on their shirt collars and harrumph about Pete Hegseth’s sex life, but we know the real reason they don’t want him is because he will be a disruptor. He will go in and change things at the Pentagon, and many folks don’t want the gravy train derailed.
But these establishment types need to understand something. While the vast majority of people either don’t know or don’t care about this non-scandal, we conservatives care about collaboration with the Democrat liars and complicity with the regime media smear machine. We’re not going to tolerate it. We’re not going to take it anymore. Tillis and Cornyn are both up for reelection in 2026. Mark our words – if they or anybody else sides against us and with the damn communists, we’re going to remember, and it will be primary time. Plus, you know, Donald Trump isn’t going to forget another betrayal.
We are watching, Republicans. Get on board.

On Jun 13, 2020, a tweet by Brett Barnes sparked controversy within the online community. In his tweet, he referred to another individual as "you're an idiot." This incident unfolded during a discussion between Brett Barnes and Julia Hartley Brewer.
The discussion began when Julia Hartley Brewer shared a tweet expressing her observations about a #BlackLivesMatter protest in Kettering. She pointed out that the protest was playing Michael Jackson's song "Black or White." In her tweet, Julia highlighted the controversy surrounding Michael Jackson's alleged abuse of young boys, questioning the appropriateness of playing his music during a human rights movement.
While Julia's tweet remained civil and focused on the perceived hypocrisy, Brett Barnes responded with a derogatory remark. This interaction between the two individuals quickly gained attention due to the conflicting viewpoints expressed and the use of insults.
It is worth noting that this incident is an example of how online disagreements can escalate and involve personal attacks. While such exchanges may occur, it is important to remember the significance of respectful and constructive dialogue, even in instances where differing opinions are voiced.
Brett Barnes has faced criticism for his derogatory remarks not only in this specific incident but also for his previous tweets targeting individuals like James Safechuck and Wade Robson. These incidents have led some to perceive him as a hypocrite, as he seemingly supports one group while making derogatory comments about others.
Online discussions can often become heated, and it is crucial to approach such conversations with respect and open-mindedness. Remembering the importance of civil discourse and avoiding personal attacks can contribute to a healthier online environment.
Please note that this post aims to provide an objective analysis of a specific incident and does not endorse or condone any form of online harassment or derogatory language. It is essential to promote respectful online interactions and focus on constructive dialogue while engaging in discussions of any nature.

Incoming Match Game Rant You Won’t Want to Read but I Was Tired of Perseverating about It in My Drafts
The Actual Match Game Mid ‘74- Mid ‘75 Episode:
The stars are announced and hold up cards or do poses that are varying degrees of kind of amusing.
Gene Rayburn executes a hammy entrance in the ugliest suit on God’s green earth.
Gene slobbers on the Pretty Girl, and she’s a good sport about it.
There’s a full minute and a half of the panelists’ trading innuendoes about Fannie Flagg’s tits under the guise of talking about her nutty sweater of the day, and she’s a good sport about it.
Regular gameplay ensues.
There is a question in which Brett Somers is the butt of the joke, and she’s a good sport about it.
There is a Confucius say… question that Gene reads in the worst Chinese accent on God’s green earth (and Charles Nelson Reilly is not there to say, “We’re gonna get letters,” in his signature way).
Richard Dawson is chosen first for the Super Match so gives the best answer and is subsequently chosen for the Head-to-Head.
He does not match, and the contestant—who gave a perfectly reasonable answer—blames herself for it.
Regular gameplay resumes.
The YouTube comment section:
SomeGal: Richard was the best! And so handsome, especially with the beard. 😍
SomeOtherGal: Richard really was perfect. Always matched. And so kind to contestants. Don’t know why anybody would choose anybody but him. Brett was so annoying!
SomeGuy: And she was an attention hog. Love it when someone tells her to shut up.
BrettSomersFan: ACTUALLY “Saint Richard” sucked and never matched and Brett Somers ruled and gave really good hugs!
SomeGuy2: Brett’s annoying but not as bad as Gary Burghoff. He’s awful but at least he’s better than Kaye Stevens!
SomeGuy3: Kaye Stevens 🤢🤮
PretendingtoBeaMatchGamePanelist: Jones-Smith Round 1 Smith Question: Did you know that they opened a combination shooting range and bakery in Dodge City? It’s called Guns and “Buns”. (BZZT!)
RemembertheGoodOldDaysTheyWereGoodTheyWereOldTheyWereDays: Love this. The snowflakes today would be so “triggered.” Women and minorities could take a joke back then!
PotStirrer: Gene loves calling black men “boy.” Racist.
MRA: Notice how there’s never 2 male contestants… Discrimination against men!
OppositePotStirrer: You always know who’s going to win when they wheel in a black contestant…
Me, playing along at home and then unwisely and masochistically reading the comments:
None of you bozos have anything to say about any of the homoerotic comments Brett Somers and the Pretty Girl make about Fannie Flagg not only in the 90 seconds at the top of the show that’s unofficially but pretty consistently carved out for boob talk anytime Fannie appears but also sprinkled throughout in regular gameplay (including but not limited to as a fake-out for a winning match in the Head-to-Head [on the rare occasion someone other than Richard is chosen])? Like we’re just ignoring that? We’re just issuing general, generic statements about the show as a whole instead of engaging with anything specific that happened on this particular episode (except for the weirdo role-playing a panelist making corny jokes [the example above is a better joke than the person I’m referencing ever makes, for the record])? We’re dredging up tired old inane musings on Kaye Stevens, who at this point is solidly gone and whose biggest crime was *checks notes* enjoying participating in a wacky game show too much? We’re having “atta boy” discourse even though Gene says this to literally every dude (regardless of age or ethnicity, contestant and panelist alike) when they have a good answer instead of addressing any of his profoundly offensive awful accents reading the profoundly offensive awful questions? Or when he—very badly—mimics and subsequently mocks a contestant’s accent or does a super shitty version of an accent the contestant doesn’t even have (she was born in Korea but she’s lived here her whole life and speaks perfect English, yet Gene slips into his Confucius say voice when he’s talking to her; he was born here to Armenian immigrants and speaks perfect English, yet Gene slips into his Gunga Dinghy voice when he’s talking to him)? We’re having “atta boy” discourse when there are fundamentally sexist and racist obstacles built in by virtue of being a product of the 1970s that don’t require any heavy lifting at all to recognize and grimace at without manufacturing false outrage? We’re mad about a dearth of male contestants on a daytime gameshow in the ‘70s when it was pretty typical for men to be working 9-5s—and so unable to watch and audition for Match Game—while their wives stayed home to clean and cook and raise children and therefore had the tv on as company all day, and also women couldn’t even get a credit card in their own name? You geniuses are really, actually mad that black contestants appear here statistically at approximately the same percentage as they exist in real life in America and have the unmitigated gall to be good at the game and win sometimes?
Like… Are we watching the same program?
#it just perpetually flabbergasts me what other people choose to hate or love about#match game#the only YouTube commenter who seems like a reasonable person with a brain is the guy who does the stats#I’m also perpetually upset about people who always choose Richard for the head to head even when they’ve struck out with him#(Fannie’s tinny soprano warble OR Brett’s Merman impression) 🎶over and over and over and over again🎶#Absolutely Nobody else gets the same treatment#it’s Never Richard’s fault that they don’t match but it’s Always any other panelist’s fault#like this guy who chose Pretty Girl’s audience match answer and then chose her for head to head#he gave a super questionable response and hers was actually good#then the next time he chose Fannie’s audience response and tried to match her on head to head#both times there were like a million answers to the head to head and he gave the worst one so didn’t match#and then his third time out he chose Fannie’s suggestion for the audience match#but then he chose Richard for the head to head and it was a super easy one#with really only one good answer and so they matched and everybody in the comments is like#‘shoulda gone with Richard the whole time dummy obviously those stupid bimbos weren’t going to match you’#🙃🤯🔪🔫🔪🔫🔪🧨#or this time this guy chose Brett for the head to head and it was _____ stocking#ok. silk stocking nylon stocking thigh high stocking Christmas stocking or if you’re really esoteric blue stocking#this guy! says brown stocking and Brett is devestasted that she’s said the most logical answer silk stocking#and people in the comments I KID YOU NOT say shit like ‘that’s why you always go for Richard’#👀???? wtf??? no person in their right mind would ever match with that!#you are totally richard Dawson brainwashed to make a comment like this!#if I could commit arson in the match game comment section I would without hesitation

Thanks for a great example of the people I will be blocking. I do not wish to engage in discourse because you happen to be uneducated.
Please look at the difference between Israel and Palestine right now. One place is being indiscriminately bombed, and guess which one that is! It's Palestine. Israel does not fucking care about the hostages and have killed their own people in the bombings, not to mention they are cutting of Palestinian electricity and other resources either way. They also plan on using nerve gas on Gaza.
There is a vast difference between one group in Palestine doing horrific things vs. Israel as a state attempting genocide for over 40 years. Which of course, the letter ignores.
And I mentioned that claim because using a specific one Israel propaganda has pushed so hard that ended up being unsubstantiated is a HUGE red flag. I don't deny that Hamas has done things, but that propaganda has also been used against Palestine as a whole
And delaying ground invasion? THEY HAVE KEPT BOMBING WITH HOSTAGES THERE ANYWAY. THEY WILL NOT DELAY BECAUSE THEY HAVE ALREADY SHOWN TO NOT CARE IF THEIR OWN PEOPLE ARE BOMBED
They literally said just now that they are in fact expanding forces.
The letter itself only calls out Hamas and seems to imply that it is only Hamas that has been harming Palestine when, y'know, Israel has been committing various human rights violations against them for over 40 years and has already bombed areas they declared safezones as well as schools and hospitals.
As for your accusations of antisemitism I hate to break it to you but being against the human rights violations a zionist state has committed is not. antisemitism.
And for your mentions of "stanning them harder" in the tags I suggest you go look at the very least Brett Gelman's instagram as of late in which he likens all Palestine supporters to Nazis and says that Americans cant say anything because colonialism happened here too.
And also please do your fucking research and don't get your opinions from celebrities oh my god
REMINDER THAT: Brett Gelman, Ross Duffer, Noah Schnapp, and Shawn Levy have signed the No Hostage Left Behind letter- a letter that spreads propaganda (the beheading infants propaganda), puts the blame for Palestinian and Israeli people dying solely on Hamas, and IGNORES the continued violence Israel has carried forth such as the genocide of Palestinians and even the killing of their own people
At best, this was a grossly misinformed letter that WILL do harm. At worst, this was an abhorrent and DELIBERATE attempt at doing harm. Be aware of where these people stand, because this is NOT OKAY.
Do not let celebrities traffic propaganda to you. BE AWARE, FACT CHECK, AND CALL OUT BEHAVIOR SUCH AS THIS
I AM TALKING TO THE FANDOM TO MAKE SURE YOU ARE AWARE OF WHERE THE RELATED CELEBRITIES LIE. DO NOT SUPPORT THEM OUT OF LIKING FOR THE SHOW. THIS IS NOT THE FIRST TIME THE CAST AND CREW HAVE PULLED SHIT LIKE THIS, SO DO NOT UPHOLD THEM AS MORAL FIGURES. CALL THEM OUT

Antis: Normal people wouldn't be okay with your freak shit!
Normal people: Watches Game Of Thrones where a rape victim falls in love with her rapist and many viewers enjoyed their relationship, even quoting their saying or getting jewelry of it. (Not even mentioning the incest.)
Normal people: Enjoys IT which has numerous scenes of child sexual abuse, torture/abuse, racism, even a child orgy that is written to be a good thing at the end of the book.
Normal people: Watches Star Wars where two of the main characters are siblings and kiss.
Normal people: Enjoys mythology which often includes themes like incest which are not "bad" things in the stories.
Normal people: Reads/watches and romanticizes Romeo And Juliet. A story where two young people (one of which is 16 and the other is 13 in Shakespeare btw) kill themselves over each other.
Normal people: Watch/read/play violent media and root for the killers, especially enjoying things where they themselves are the murderer.

Time to revisit my pre-season rankings bc I’m bored
(Replacing Marvin with Joseph)
01 | Taylor: I think my biggest fear with her was that she was going to be another Azah - talk a big game but while they’re an amazing person they’re not so much the best game player. However, she is the perfect example of Big Brother being about adaptability. For someone to start off the game as a social pariah and then work just enough to survive the next week all while keeping their integrity is an amazing feat. She probably has the most unique run when it comes to her social game; most winners would slip in to being manipulative and cutthroat, but Taylor stayed a lawful good till the bitter end.
02 | Joseph: Look at him being where Marvin was preseason 🤩 I put him in the bases tier but I wasn’t sure what to think of him other than he’s the guy I simp for throughout the season (kinda like a Brett or Travis type). Pooseph opened the door for him meme-wise and then he turned 25 and came out guns a-blazing. This is a MAN. I will fight every last person on here for him. This is a warning.
Tumblr media
03 | Michael: Well he is right about where I put him pre-season 😂 He treaded between being boring and being a huge source of entertainment and watching him break records and win everything they gave him was astounding. Giving Maddie Ziegler vibes tbh.
04 | Turner: I did not expect to like this guy so much. So much more worthy of continuing the strength of the maknae line than Paloma. With him I saw… snafus. But I also saw someone who unapologetically acted his own age and took pride in being the youngest in the room. Thanks for proving me wrong and not being boring.
05 | Jasmine: I thought she was gonna be another Jessica and she ended up being another Raven 🙃 I don’t even know why she’s this high, I still think she’s extremely annoying, but I appreciate someone who’s dedicated to creating content. Thanks for the memes I guess.
06 | Brittany: And a crackhead she was indeed. I’m not entirely sure what makes her deserve this spot. She’s been up and down and she never had a game for me to fall back on when it came to her redemption, but her post-eviction actions push her past some others.
07 | Kyle: …huh.
I put him in his own tier bc I wasn’t sure where to put him. He didn’t annoy me immediately like Alyssa & Pooch but not without lack of trying! I think he has the weirdest run out of all the HGs. I grew to really like him and then he kissed Alyssa and Icarus flew way too close to the sun. Then he showed his ass and offended just about anyone who wasn’t white and it was over for him. If anything I do appreciate the discourse his stint in the game brought with him (both in regards to the Cookout and him being harassed/coerced by Alyssa).. I’m just wary of what’s going to happen to him post-season bc this is something that is going to linger with him forever. But if people can like Paul… there is hope.
08 | Ameerah: What a waste of potential. I’m still so angry. You were the chosen one, etc etc. I will say that my toxic trait is thinking she’s hot despite her being a flaming bitch. When it comes to the prejury though she is the lesser of five evils so that’s why she places as high as she does.
09 | Alyssa: Another surprise for me. From hating her for a good 7-8 weeks to being slightly tolerable towards the end. Taylor’s power. I think her best moments would be whenever she was with Taylor; they have unusually good chemistry (more than she does with Kyle if I’m being honest) and I think if she weren’t consumed with jealousy, they would have been unstoppable. Team First Kill indeed.
10 | Monte: I think similar to Alyssa he had 1-2 good weeks and then just devolved into an absolute Neanderthal towards the end. I had him as my winner’s pick and man did I end up dreading it. Thankfully the jury saw through him and gave the win to Taylor but I think I understand why he was my winner pick in the first place. During late pre-jury he seemed like a Jack of all trades. He had a decent social game, made the most of his first HOH, and proved to be an asset to the Leftovers. It’s just so sad that he chose incel behavior. Xavier was right; I would slap him on the back of the head and tell him to get himself together. Another batch of wasted potential.
11 | Indy: Another HG who had a few days of reprieved but was ultimately consumed by the plague of hate surrounding the house. I did appreciate that she let Kyle have it during his jury segment. That’s the Indy I wanted.
12 | Pooch: I didn’t expect him to move up from last place but it takes a special player to fuck up so bad that they become both relevant and irrelevant at the same time. I will say that his casting pic did NOT do him justice - his age was more believable on the feeds than in that picture.
13 | Paloma: The biggest disappointment here. People are going to take solace in the fact that she seemed like a Karen and that might have been her white side coming out but all in all her stint on the show was just tragic. If there’s one thing I am certain of though it’s that she should stay as far away from Daniel as possible. That guy is UNHINGED.
14 | Nicole: Thank god we had Joseph as AAPI/Middle Eastern representation otherwise I was gonna be convinced that casting was going to model minority the fuck out of Asians for the next few years. She’s just so aggressive and for what? She quit being a cop to be a chef and yet she still acts like she’s wearing that uniform and badge. It’s disturbing to say the least.
15 | Terrance: Gross. His obsession with vilifying Taylor and being insufferable with his comments about women just turned me off from him. Had one or two good moments but that’s not really enough is it?
16 | Daniel: Ugh. An absolute tool with anger issues and a serious obsession issue on top of that. Whoever casted him needs to be blacklisted from the industry.

Okay, let's start some serious discourse here, which members of the team have games on their phones and what games do the ones that do play? I can totally see Brett having games like Cookie Run and The Battle Cats on his phone.
You're right we need Serious Discourse Very Professional *old man coughing* thank you for bringing this to my attention, anon
OK OK SO
Brett absolutely has,, just the most Basic, Classic Games on his phone <3 he is easily placated. Lots of very cute stuff tbh, they soothe him. Has definitely spent money on in-game microtransactions
Reagan’s phone is 90% utility and 10% for looking at memes <3 bc she may be an antisocial mad scientist but she and Gigi swap memes
Gigi fuckin helps in the development in half of all mobile games lmao and she can point out all the spots she put some extra Subliminal Messaging in as spice smdns. She doesn’t play any herself tbh - shes a very busy person!!
Glenn pretends he has nothing on his phone but <3 he totally does and it’s all cute little games.
Andre refuses to play mobile games from a moral standpoint, because it’s mostly cheap cash grabs
Myc honestly only uses his phone for hookup apps lmao, barely has it on him most of the time
THIS WAS CUTE TO WRITE <3

Okay I think it’s over for real this time. Noah explicitly stated that Mike likes El so he’s not sure what will happen but he doesn’t write the script…
I know you’re a Mitt Romney, but yeah I wish he hadn’t said that 😔 It doesn’t spark joy, and even though what he said is virtually identical to what Brett said, people see him as the “captain of Byler” so what he said has more influence on discourse within the fandom. He could’ve said he’s not sure what will happen since he doesn’t write the script, which is objectively true, but I think the “Mike likes El” part can end up stirring all kinds of emotions and chaos, especially since the atmosphere is constantly volatile. BUT in no way is it “over for real this time.” I kinda freaked out when I first heard it, but there’s a big difference between him saying this a month before Season 5 comes out and him saying this now. If he said this then, I might agree with you. But now, the scripts haven’t even been written yet! It’s the difference between judging an election on the results from a swing state on Election Night verses judging it before the primaries even start. And even if Noah DOES know more than he’s letting on (which I believe he does), what is he expected to say? Byler WILL happen because Mike is actually queer, or if it’s the reverse, Byler WON’T happen because Mike is straight? No, he can’t say either of those things because that would be a big spoiler! What he said is what’s canonically true. I do find it interesting that he didn’t say Mike loves El though 👀👀. But saying “he’s not sure what will happen” still leaves it extremely open-ended. I still really really really wish he hadn’t said it AT ALL, because it fuels the fire for messages like yours. But we have TWO YEARS, and there’s bound to be epic highs and lows (of high school football) in that time period. Noah will probably say something that has us all freaking out positively in a few weeks. It will be a roller coaster for sure, but in no way is it “over for real” until the Duffers come out and say, “sorry guys, Mississippi is end game.”

On May 17, 2014, Brett Barnes took to Twitter to express his frustration with the way some people perceived his friend, Michael Jackson. In his tweet, he stated, "the thing with you fools is, no matter what I say to you, you'll just twist it to go along with your 'views'." Barnes insinuated that individuals who held negative opinions about Michael Jackson were prone to distorting the truth to fit their own narrative.
It is important to address the misconceptions that can arise from such statements. While it is understandable that close friends and supporters may feel defensive when their idol is criticized, it is crucial to engage in open dialogue and consider differing perspectives without resorting to generalizations or insults.
Firstly, it is essential to acknowledge that not all critics of Michael Jackson base their views on bias or a desire to twist the truth. Like any public figure, Jackson's life, music, and legacy are subject to interpretation and analysis. Critics may express concerns about his behavior, controversies, or other aspects of his life. These opinions should be evaluated on their own merit rather than dismissed outright.
Secondly, assuming that all critics have preconceived notions and are unwilling to consider alternative viewpoints is an unfair generalization. Constructive dialogue can only occur when individuals on both sides of a discussion are open to listening and understanding one another. Making assumptions about someone's intentions does not further the conversation or contribute to a better understanding of the topic at hand.
Lastly, it is crucial to emphasize the importance of evidence-based discussions. Engaging in meaningful conversations requires relying on accurate information, verifiable facts, and credible sources. Baseless claims and unfounded accusations only serve to perpetuate misinformation and hinder productive discourse.
In conclusion, while Brett Barnes expressed his frustration regarding the perceived biases of Michael Jackson's critics, it is essential to recognize that not all negative opinions are rooted in twisting the truth. Encouraging open dialogue, respecting differing viewpoints, and relying on substantiated information are key to fostering a more nuanced conversation about public figures such as Michael Jackson.

💙 Thurs 24 Dec ‘20 🎂
Happy BIRTHDAY, Louis!! You are: golden, the end of June, perfect now, a rainbow paradise, the habit that we can’t break, and, most importantly, TWENTY NINE YEARS OLD! Fans, friends, charities and industry folks alike spent their day sending well wishes to Louis. Allontheboard put up a poem with only 1D titles to celebrate, Free My Meal, Bluebell Wood, Sandy Beales, Paul Arthurs (Oasis), and many more called him brilliant (or a legend, etc.) and wished him well. Helene, Eleanor and Krystle put up new pictures of them with him and sent him love. Eleanor was denied the opportunity for the usual “clubbing and pap pics” by COVID but got around it by posting an old vid of her and Louis from one of those outings... in 2017, for HER birthday, at a gay club. Why not just a cute cozy pic of their stuck-at-home celebrations?? Oh riiiight cause that's not a real thing lol. Charlie Lightening wished him a happy birthday and said that the LIVEstream was a killer way to end the year (it was!). And then the FANS!! Well, we spent the day trending various hashtags and tweets and reminding the world that Louis’ a KING and a BOSS and a KILLER musician, and only we got a special thank you from Louis- he came on twitter to say, “Thank you for all the birthday messages. The money you raised for all your individual projects is unbelievable. Love to you all x”. (Did the Brit Awards or Only The Poets have a Louis charity drive? No they did not, that's a thank you for US!) We also got the uncut/unedited version of an interview from early March 2019 courtesy of a fan, as a treat! Seeing him chatting cheerfully away, unaware that such a horrible tragedy is about to strike feels- to me at least- somewhere between uncomfortable and vaguely indecent, but if you can divorce it from that his physicality in the unguarded moments when the interview pauses is, always, a beautiful glimpse behind the curtain, and revisiting the familiar rote answers about how he hoped to have an album by next year, maybe, is exciting and satisfying, knowing that it finally happened and it's HERE and celebrated and complete!
The discourse about the TPWK video is raging (how dare HSHQ release a video about kindness? When they, themselves, are SO UNKIND to US POOR FANS by making random other people who are not their clients say things that we don't like??), and I’d like to take the moment to remind everyone that Jeff Azoff is not in fact feeding cue cards to people who AREN’T his client (i.e. Liam, Lou Teasdale, Brett and co., etc) and that we should all really reconsider claiming that there are shadowy figures pulling everyone's strings like puppets, rather than that this is an industry focused on financial gain and mostly indifferent to collateral damage. And besides all that, I personally would much rather have a video with Harry ballroom dancing than NOT! It seems that someone isn’t completely on board with us having that video yet, though: accounts posting it were gone after heavily on twitter for copyright violations, and if you don't believe us that lots of things happen that aren't directly managed by HSHQ, what do you call HSD getting caught up in the sweep? Clearly THEY thought their connection to HQ meant they were immune, and left the video up when the other UAs saw what was up and deleted it, but nope! Which works out great for us, an excellent birthday present for their least favorite guy, Louis (and for us fans, SUCK IT JERKS!) Jeff does do some things though, and protecting HSD is one of them, so I suppose they'll be back. And speaking of people who do their jobs, we found out today that Shia LaBoef (who was originally cast as Jack in DWD) did not leave due to scheduling conflicts, but rather, Olivia Wilde fired him because of abuse allegations. Good Riddance! Talk about a glow up for that role, Shia--> Harry is a serious upgrade!
Liam and Roman have another socially distanced and randomly cut advent alarm, which claims Liam being afraid of spoons was one of the truths in their little game though he has repeatedly told us that's no longer the case, SUS, and told all of us to get ready ‘cuz * sings * Santa Claus is comin’ tonight! (I’m singing it, but sadly, they didn’t). Liam DID play the part of Santa and gave LP Show DJ Deewan a lovely bottle of champagne to ring in the new year. And he’s not the only one who mentors and spreads love: Alone, an Irish charity serving the elderly thanked Niall (and his Modest!Golf partner Mark) for recent contributions, Casey Lowery shared the story of going clubbing with Zayn’s PA who then put him in contact with Zayn and got him his record deal (awwww I want more mentor!Zayn stories!!), and we got a behind the scenes shot of an old Z photoshoot! The gifts abound! So it looks like we’ve got lots to celebrate: let’s celebrate all of the lights for Louis, H’s sparkly jacket, Liam waiting for Santa Claus, Niall’s phenomenal Christmas Toy drive donation, and Zayn enjoying a Harry Potter filled Christmas. Happy Holidays to all!

I'm laughing at this person for calling themselves "Brett does discourse" when the first thing they do when someone responds in disagreement is respond and block. So not only do they know nothing about rights, they don't know what discourse is, either.
But anyway, this person is wrong. You should be allowed to make a health decision that directly (effects others is what I'm assuming the rest of this comment says).
The government should never, under any circumstances, force you to make certain health decisions, even if it's believed that it's good for people around you because that is completely authoritarian. This idiot has not thought this line of thought through because I'm sure they don't really believe this. Or if they do let me see them advocate for the government making smoking illegal.
But, also, the covid mandates don't make any difference to the people around you.

ive been a larrie since like -13 or something so though i consider myself a veteran i haven't been active on tumblr for a few years, actually after 1D broke up. just check in once in a while. BUT with this babygate mess im intrigued again to lurk around until i remembered the birth certificate. I dont remember the discourse around it back then, it was a legal document tho for real? So even tho sonogram points to fake, the BC shows B did give birth? or can "Adoptive Mom" sign it instead of Biomom
Hi there! Everything points to the fact that the birth certificate was a real document, yes. Both the surrogate theory and the real birth certificate can coexist though, one thing doesn’t necessarily invalidate the other.
Without considering the surrogacy, Louis’ part in it alone on the BC is very easily justified, since many fathers mistakenly sign birth certificates convinced they were the father and then the child turns out not to be theirs.
With the surrogacy, is a bit more complex but yet it does sound possible. The surrogate theory we've being discussing for a while implies neither Louis or Briana are Freddie’s biological parents. He’s Brett and Tammi’s child, but they used a surrogate for that (Tammi was over 45 at the time). Which was a theory very much reinforced by the ultrasound being made on a fertility clinic. According to surrogacy laws in California:
Tumblr media
If they placed a pre-birth order, their names went directly to the birth certificate and the gestational carrier name wasn’t considered. We're talking theories here, and I'm 100% not a lawyer or a doctor, but it's very clear to me that the people donating the eggs and the sperm for the in vitro fertilization don't necessarily need to be the same people placing a pre-birth order. So that would make Brett and Tammi the biological parents, but Louis and Briana the legal parents.
