"You’re looking extra dashing today, my strong, handsome rock-star," Mark began.

"Mark..." Wallter interrupted, a hint of embarrassment creeping into their voice, though his stone face remained mostly impassive.

Mark laughed softly, reaching up to caress Wallter’s chin affectionately. "Aw, don’t be shy, my love. I just can’t help it; you’re my everything, my rock solid darling, my concrete cuddle-bear"

"Mark!" Wallter finally protested, though there was no real annoyance in her voice, just a mix of bashfulness and affection. "You’re going to turn me into rubble with all these names."

Mark grinned, leaning her head against Wallter’s shoulder. "That’s okay. I’d just have to gather all the pieces and put you back together, my precious boulder."

"You’re impossible," Wallter muttered, though the warmth in his tone betrayed how much she appreciated Mark’s words.

"And you love it, granite prince" Mark replied with a wink, squeezing Wallter’s arm.

Wallter let out a soft chuckle, the last remnants of his flustered state melting away in the face of Mark’s unwavering affection. "Yeah," they admitted quietly, his voice gentle, "I do."

(Wallmark fluff)

It was a quite cold, cloudy evening. Wallter was sitting on the white bench behind the fountain, scribbling the project of the new house in his sketchbook. It was his favorite place besides the cafe and his garden. It was quiet, peaceful and lovely. He could listen to the birds singing and the soothing sound of water in the fountain. He could focus on his projects and deep thoughts in a nice atmosphere, and nothing could go wrong… Right? "Brickboy?" Wallter flinched a little, when he heard the voice. He raised his head. Mark. The mannequin stood in front of Wallter, looking away, pretty nervous. He was hiding something behind his back. He turned his gaze to Wallter, smiling awkwardly and waving. What would the architect's ex-husband want from him? Wallter sighed, and put his sketchbook away. "What do you want?" he asked as politely as he could. "Well, there is somethin' i wanna give ya…" Mark mumbled, scratching his neck, with a little sweat on his temple. "Mark, i'm sorry, but i'm very busy right now…" Wallter said, with a strict look. Deep down, he felt bad for telling this tiny man, who was once his lover, to go away. However, Mark still wanted to show his gift. He gulped, and hestitantly reached behind his back… These were flowers. White flowers, tied with a ribbon, with a very delicate scent. Wallter gasped softly, looking at the posy Mark held. He stood up, and took a step towards his ex-husband. It was the very first time Mark gave him flowers, since he never got any. For all these years, Mark did not give Wallter even a one rose. Some people would say it was very ignorant, but he was just forgetful… Wallter could not believe his eyes. And Mark just stood, with big puppy eyes full of hope. They stood there, in complete silence. Wallter could feel some tears of emotion in his eyes. He took of his glasses and wiped these tears away. These flowers… These were white tulips, his favorites. Mark remembered that… "'M sorry that I never got ya 'em…" Mark muttered, with a little pink blush on his cheeks. "I always forgot…" Wallter's heart beated faster. Mark finally got him flowers. This adorable gesture proved Mark still cared about Wallter, he still had these feelings for him… "But well, I still got 'em for ya, darlin'… I still love ya, brickboy…" Mark's eyes shone. His words were sincere, for sure. Wallter felt shock and happiness at the same time. For all these years, he thought does not love Mark anymore. But still felt empty inside his heart, like there was one piece of his soul lost. He looked at his blue scarf on his neck. He wore it so often that he forgot Mark was the one who gave it to him… First anniversary gift… Without saying any more words, Wallter kneeled down and hugged Mark very tighly. He embraced Mark's muscular, tickset body, feeling it's warmth. He remembered how much he enjoyed the smell of wood… So what if he got splinters? All these love and feelings for Mark started to return slowly. Mark nuzzled onto Wallter's chest, with a blissful smile. They both hugged eachother for minutes, that felt like eternity. Mark wished it lasted forever. Wallter slowly leaned back from Mark after a while, but they still held their hands. Mark gently stroked Wallter's palm with his finger, with tenderness. "I missed ya…" he mumbled, with eyes glowing with love. The architect held the flowers, sniffling them. The birds were singing, like they celebrated the beginning of former lovers getting back togheter. Sometimes, it's good to forgive someone's past mistakes…
