How to Choose the Perfect Bridal Lehenga
Selecting the ideal bridal lehenga amidst the vast array of styles, colors, choices, and fabrics can be a daunting task. Whether you find yourself torn between a flared skirt and a fitted blouse or contemplating a heritage skirt lehenga paired with a designer peplum blouse, discovering your dream lehenga for your special day can be an anxiety-inducing experience. To ease this process, SAMYAKK offers an invaluable guide to help you make the best choice for your bridal lehenga choli.
Consider Your Body Type:
Body shape plays a crucial role in choosing the perfect bridal lehenga. If you have a pear-shaped body structure, consider a flared skirt and a fitted blouse design. On the other hand, an hourglass figure can benefit from a mermaid lehenga or a fitted waist lehenga with a corset top or peplum top. Different designs can flatter different body types, so select one that enhances your natural silhouette.
Choose the Right Fabric:
The choice of fabric for your bridal lehenga should align with the weather conditions of your wedding day. For winter weddings, opt for luxurious materials like velvet, silk, and satin that provide warmth and opulence. For summer ceremonies, lightweight and breathable options such as net or chiffon are more suitable. Consider a mix of textures if your wedding spans different seasons.
Decide on the Perfect Color:
Color is a personal choice, and it can significantly impact your overall bridal look. You have the freedom to choose any color, from bold and vibrant red tones to soft and subtle shades that harmonize with your skin tone and reflect your personality.
Personalize with Embellishments:
Your unique taste and choice of embellishments can make a substantial difference in your bridal persona. For a rich and regal bridal trousseau, consider opulent embellishments like Zari, resham, gota, and cut-dana. Conversely, if you prefer a lighter and more comfortable style, there are minimalistic lehengas with a touch of elegance and simplicity.
Always Try Before You Buy:
Trying on your bridal lehenga before making the final D-day purchase is crucial. The comfort of your lehenga choli ensures you can fully enjoy your special day without any discomfort. A trial run also provides a better idea of the look and style that can be adapted for various wedding occasions.
How to Wear Your Bridal Lehenga
To exude confidence and beauty on your wedding day, you can style your lehenga in various ways:
Single Dupatta Draping:
This elegant style is perfect for your wedding day and offers various variations. You can pin the dupatta on the top and bring it forward to reveal your beautiful bridal blouse design, drape it over your head and chest, create a one-side dupatta style with the other end attached to your wrist, or pin it low on the bun with the dupatta gracefully falling at the back.
Double Dupatta Draping:
Double dupatta styles are trending and can be draped in several ways. You can place one dupatta over your head and the other on either side of your shoulder, drape one dupatta over your head and the other over one shoulder, tucking it to the side of your waist, or position both dupattas on one shoulder each. Alternatively, you can pleat one dupatta like a saree and allow the other to fall gracefully on your low bun.
In addition to these styles, you can explore Mughal-inspired, Gujarati, and Rajasthani lehenga draping styles to add a unique and cultural touch to your bridal look.
FAQs: Choosing the Perfect Bridal Lehenga
How do I choose the right bridal lehenga for my body type?
Bridal lehengas come in various styles to flatter different body shapes. For pear-shaped bodies, a flared skirt and fitted blouse design works well, while hourglass figures can consider mermaid lehengas or a fitted waist lehenga with a corset or peplum top.
What fabric should I select for my bridal lehenga, and how does weather factor into this choice?
The fabric of your bridal lehenga should match the season. Velvet, silk, and satin are suitable for winter weddings, while net or chiffon works well for summer. You can also explore mixed textures depending on the weather conditions.
How should I choose the color for my bridal lehenga?
Your choice of color can depend on personal preferences and skin tone. You can opt for bold red tones or soft muted shades that complement your individual style.
What should I consider when it comes to embroidery on my bridal lehenga?
Your personal taste plays a significant role in choosing the type of embellishments. Zari, resham, gota, and cut-dana embroidery offer a rich and royal look, while minimalistic lehengas are ideal for those who prefer a lighter and more comfortable style.
Is it necessary to try on my bridal lehenga before purchasing it?
Yes, trying on your bridal lehenga before making the final purchase is essential. It ensures both comfort and the opportunity to assess the look and style for different wedding occasions.
How can I maintain the beauty of my bridal lehenga after the wedding?
To preserve the beauty of your bridal lehenga, have it professionally cleaned and stored in a cool, dry place. Avoid exposing it to direct sunlight and humidity. Proper storage will ensure it stays in pristine condition as a cherished memento.
Different Ways to Wear Your Bridal Lehenga
To feel confident and beautiful on your wedding day, you can wear your lehenga in various styles, including single dupatta draping or double dupatta draping. There are also Mughal-inspired, Gujarati, and Rajasthani lehenga draping styles that can add a unique touch to your bridal look.
Bridal Lehenga Options for Destination Weddings
For destination weddings, consider specific lehenga options:
Palace Weddings: Opt for heritage lehengas in vibrant colors with heavy embellishments for that Hyderabadi, Rajasthani, or Mughal-inspired touch.
Beach Weddings: Choose dreamy, lightweight lehengas in beach-friendly colors and styles like fringes and frills, perfect for seaside nuptials near rocky beaches.
Bridal lehengas encompass the epitome of luxury and tradition, making them the ideal choice for your most memorable moments. Select the one that resonates with your style, body type, and wedding destination to shine on your special day.

Perfect Fit the Ultimate Guide to Wedding Shoppe Alterations for Your Big Day
Your wedding day is one of the most important events in your life, and every detail needs to be perfect—especially your wedding attire. From the bride’s gown to the groom’s suit, achieving the perfect fit is essential to looking and feeling your best. Wedding shoppe alterations play a crucial role in ensuring your wedding attire fits flawlessly, enhancing your comfort and confidence as you walk down the aisle. In this comprehensive guide, we’ll explore the importance of wedding shoppe alterations, what to expect during the process, tips for finding the right tailor, and how to prepare for your fittings.
The Importance of Wedding Shoppe Alterations
Wedding shoppe alterations are essential for several reasons:
Perfect Fit: Off-the-rack wedding attire rarely fits perfectly. Alterations ensure your gown or suit fits your body like a glove, enhancing your silhouette and comfort.
Customization: Alterations allow for customization, letting you add personal touches, such as adjusting the neckline, adding sleeves, or incorporating lace details.
Comfort: A well-fitted outfit is more comfortable, allowing you to move, dance, and enjoy your day without discomfort.
Confidence: Knowing that your attire fits perfectly boosts your confidence, ensuring you feel your best on your special day.
Tumblr media
The Wedding Shoppe Alteration Process
Understanding the alteration process can help you prepare and make the most of your fittings. Here’s a step-by-step overview:
Initial Consultation
Your alteration journey begins with an initial consultation at the wedding shoppe. During this appointment, you’ll discuss your vision, any specific adjustments you want, and your timeline. It’s helpful to bring along any accessories, such as shoes and undergarments, that you plan to wear on your wedding day.
First Fitting
The first fitting is typically scheduled several months before your wedding. The tailor will assess the fit of your gown or suit and pin areas that need adjustment. This fitting focuses on major alterations, such as taking in or letting out seams, adjusting hemlines, and resizing.
Second Fitting
The second fitting occurs a few weeks after the first. This session is for fine-tuning and making minor adjustments based on the changes made during the first fitting. The tailor will check the fit again and make sure all adjustments are on track.
Final Fitting
The final fitting takes place closer to your wedding day, usually a few weeks before. This fitting ensures that all alterations are perfect and the attire fits beautifully. Any last-minute tweaks are made during this session to guarantee you look your best.
Tips for a Successful Wedding Shoppe Alteration Experience
Start Early: Begin the alteration process well in advance of your wedding day. This allows ample time for multiple fittings and adjustments.
Choose the Right Tailor: Select a tailor or seamstress with experience in wedding attire. Look for reviews, ask for recommendations, and check their portfolio to ensure they have the skills to handle your garment.
Be Specific: Communicate your needs and preferences clearly. Bring reference photos and be specific about the changes you want. This ensures the tailor understands your vision and can deliver the desired results.
Bring Accessories: Wear the undergarments, shoes, and accessories you plan to use on your wedding day to each fitting. This helps the tailor make precise adjustments and ensures everything works together seamlessly.
Stay Open-Minded: While it’s important to have a vision, be open to your tailor’s suggestions. They have the expertise to know what alterations will work best for your body and garment.
Common Wedding Shoppe Alterations
Here are some common alterations you might need for your wedding attire:
Bridal Gown Alterations
Hemming: Adjusting the length of the gown to ensure it just grazes the floor.
Bustle: Adding a bustle to lift the train of the gown for easier movement during the reception.
Taking In/Letting Out: Adjusting the bodice, waist, and hips for a perfect fit.
Strap and Sleeve Adjustments: Altering the length or width of straps and sleeves.
Adding or Removing Details: Incorporating or removing elements such as lace, beads, or appliques.
Groom’s Suit Alterations
Jacket Alterations: Adjusting the shoulders, sleeves, and length of the jacket.
Pant Alterations: Hemming the pants, adjusting the waist, and tapering the legs.
Shirt Adjustments: Ensuring the shirt fits comfortably and looks sharp.
Finding the Right Wedding Shoppe for Alterations
Choosing the right wedding shoppe for your alterations is crucial. Here are some tips to help you find the perfect place:
Research and Reviews: Look for wedding shoppes with positive reviews and a good reputation. Read testimonials from past clients to gauge their satisfaction.
Visit Multiple Shoppes: Don’t settle on the first shoppe you visit. Compare services, prices, and turnaround times at multiple locations to find the best fit for your needs.
Check Credentials: Ensure the shoppe employs experienced tailors who specialize in wedding attire. Ask about their training, experience, and examples of previous work.
Ask Questions: During your initial consultation, ask about their process, pricing structure, and how they handle emergencies or last-minute changes.
Preparing for Your Wedding Shoppe Fittings
Proper preparation can make your fittings more effective and ensure a smooth alteration process. Here’s how to prepare:
Stay on Track with Weight Management: Try to maintain a stable weight leading up to your wedding. Significant weight changes can affect the fit of your garment and require additional alterations.
Wear Proper Undergarments: The undergarments you choose can impact the fit of your attire. Wear the same undergarments to each fitting to ensure consistency.
Bring Your Shoes: Your shoes affect the length of your gown or pants. Always bring them to fittings to get the perfect hem length.
Communicate Changes: If you decide to make any changes to your attire or accessories, inform your tailor as soon as possible. This allows them to make necessary adjustments.
Perfecting Your Wedding Day LookWedding shoppe alterations are an essential part of achieving the perfect fit for your wedding attire. By starting the process early, choosing the right tailor, and preparing adequately for your fittings, you can ensure that your gown or suit enhances your appearance and comfort on your big day. Skilled alterations not only improve the fit but also allow for personalization and customization, making your wedding attire truly unique. Embrace the process and enjoy the transformation as your wedding ensemble evolves into the perfect reflection of your style and personality.

So, I’ve been watching “Say Yes to the Dress” on YouTube, and let me tell you the idea that popped into my head-
Bahorel and Montparnasse owning a bridal/wedding shoppe. Both are so fashionable and super supportive of the clients and are not afraid to tell the entourage to shut the hell up cause it’s not their appointment.
Also, like, you know, they’re able to like, help with the tailoring, with help from Feuilly and Enjolras who both can sew. And Courfeyrac can also help with trying on of dresses and and suits and what not. And Fauntleroy and Jehan also help out with that. Even Mardisoir is in on it, and Claquesous is super supportive and helps out with the more atypical requests, like black gowns and whatnot.
And basically, they just run this really sweet and LGBTQIA+ centred bridal/wedding shoppe!

The Strings that Bind Us: Ch. 30
Day 30: Dressing the Part
AO3
Prev
Marinette grins widely, wrapping her arms around her maman.
“I missed you.” She says, hugging her tightly. Her maman hugs her back, and Marinette feels all of the stress from the past couple of weeks melt away. There’s nothing like a hug from your mom to make everything better.
“How are you, sweetheart?” She asks, pulling away and grabbing her face, looking her over for any injuries. Marinette laughs.
“I’m fine, Maman. Really.” Marinette promises. Her mom frowns.
“Are you sure? You seemed off the last couple times you called.” She says. Marinette just smiles.
“I’m sure, Maman. I’m just a little stressed, and kind of tired.” She admits. Her mom just hums in response, the look she gives her clear that she doesn’t quite believe her.
“Grand-mère!” “Gram!” “Nana!” The three youngest boys yell, running into the entryway. Marinette grins and takes a step back, letting the boys all hug her mom.
“Goodness! You’ve all grown so much!” She says with a gasp. “Tell your Maman to send more pictures, I barely recognized you.” She teases and Marinette rolls her eyes.
“Don’t start, Maman. I send you pictures all the time.” Marinette says, with a grin. Another knock at the door makes her grin even wider, rushing over and throwing the door open.
“Look at you! You are glowing!” Lois says with a wide smile. Marinette frowns.
“Glowing?” She asks. Lois’ eyes widen for a fraction of a minute before she laughs.
“Of course! All brides should be glowing.” Lois says, scratching the back of her neck. Marinette makes a mental note to talk to the woman about that later, when all of the boys weren’t standing right there.
“Are you ready, Marinette?” Her maman asks, and she grins.
“Almost. I’ll be right back.” She says before rushing off to the kitchen. Poking her head in, she smiles before walking the rest of the way in.
“Morning Miss Marinette.” Alfred says with a soft smile.
“Morning, Alfred. Are you still up to go wedding dress shopping with us?” She asks and he nods.
“Only if you’re sure.” He says.
“Of course I’m sure.” Marinette says seriously. When she’d first started making the plans to go dress shopping, there was a very small list of people she wanted to be there. Her mom, of course, was at the top of the list. Lois also made the list, as she was one of her only actual friends and Marinette adored talking to the other woman. It was nice to have another mom friend, even if their motherhood journeys were very different. She’d wanted to invite Adrien, and had, actually, but he was caught up with a case in Paris. Something about one of the foster families being a little more than just corrupt. He hadn’t really gone into detail. All she knew was that he couldn’t take the time to come over for something that would only take a few hours. Which, she understood completely. She’d promised to send lots of pictures. And then, there was Alfred. Marinette wasn’t sure when the idea had first popped into her head, but ever since it had, she’d been determined to get the man to agree to go with her. Bruce had been all for it, of course. She wasn’t sure if it was because he thought Alfred would give him a hint about the dress (she knew he wouldn’t) or because he thought Alfred would have the best advice (she knew he would).
“Then I will accompany you.” He says, and she grins. This was going to be amazing.
---
So if people didn’t know her face, it would be more amazing. But unfortunately for her, the women at the bridal shoppe had apparently recognized her from pictures that had surfaced of her and Bruce. The women who were working at the shoppe were very calm about it. Some of the other patrons, though….Marinette had breathed a sigh of relief when the manager had led them to a private room. She just wanted to try on dresses in peace, especially since both Lois and Alfred had insisted that their group didn’t need any champagne. Marinette had, begrudgingly, gone along with it. No sense in being the only one drinking, and knowing her luck, she’d end up spilling on the dresses.
“If I may?” Alfred says, and Marinette turns to him, hoping he can’t see how distressed she feels. She’d thought the dress was great on the rack, but on…
“Please.” She says, and he nods.
“I don’t believe a mermaid style dress is the best option for you, Marinette.” He says and she barely manages to stop herself from cheering at the fact that he just called her her first name. Only her first name.
“Do you think a princess or a-line?” She asks, turning in the mirror and frowning again at the way the mermaid dress looks on her. It was awful.
“Perhaps a-line.” He says, and she nods before stepping back into the small changing room to change into a different dress. She’d found it on a rack near the back of the store, and she thought it looked promising. It was covered in lace flowers and had a blush tint to it. Not the traditional stark white, but she honestly preferred it. It made the whole dress look softer. Slipping into it, she can’t help but smile at how perfectly it fits. She quickly thanks the woman that clips the back shut for her before stepping out, laughing at the gasps from Lois and her mom, and the small smile on Alfred’s face.
“Oh sweetheart.” Her Maman says, brushing away a few tears.
“Maman, don’t cry! If you cry, I’m going to cry.” She warns, blinking furiously to push away any tears. They’d planned on getting lunch as a group after they were done dress shopping and she did not want to give the paparazzi a reason to make up a story about her. Well, another reason, that is.
“Well, Miss Dupain Cheng? What do you think?” The sales lady- Tammy- asks, a warm smile on her face. Marinette glances at Lois who gives a thumbs up, and Alfred who simply nods.
“I think I’m saying yes to the dress.” Marinette says, her excitement threatening to bubble over. They had a rough date and she had a dress. Sure, they didn’t have an exact date or a venue or anything concrete yet, but that was okay. She was an excellent planner, her years of Ladybug had made sure of that. And she was certain that with her and Bruce planning everything, it would all fall into place. She was marrying the love of her life.
---
“I know.” Lois admits a few days later. Marinette raises an eyebrow, not sure what the woman was talking about. She’d asked if they could get together for lunch, just the two of them, after her maman went back to Paris. Marinette had agreed, of course, but now she was just confused.
“What’re you talking about?” She asks with a confused frown. Lois grins sheepishly.
“I swear, I didn’t tell anyone else. And I didn’t mean to almost out you in front of your family. I just-”
“Whoa, wait. Lois, I honestly have no idea what you’re talking about.” Marinette says, shaking her head. Lois pales slightly.
“I-wait, you don’t- Clark heard-” She stumbles over her words, immediately worrying Marinette. Lois was always calm and collected. She was never this flustered, not that Marinette had ever seen. And she doubted Bruce had ever seen the woman like this either. He’d always described her as calm and collected.
“Lois, breathe. It’s okay, we’ll figure this out, okay?” Marinette says with a soft smile. “Now, what did Clark hear?” She asks.
“It was about a month ago, when we came over for that bonfire.” Lois starts and Marinette nods encouragingly. “Clark didn’t say anything then, he told me on our way home. He assumed you guys were waiting to tell people because it was still so early but he was too excited to not tell me what he heard.” Lois explains. Marinette frowns, because if what she’s guessing correctly? If she’s assumed correctly, the thing that Clark heard? Shoving down the panic threatening to bubble up and drown her, Marinette lets out a shaky breath.
“I think I need to buy a test.”

The Power of Peonies
Part of A Garden in Gotham
Roman Sionis x Reader
Read the rest here
Tumblr media
Unleashing Roman into the flower convention was like unleashing a child into a candy shoppe. For a moment, he just stood there in awe, visually overwhelmed by all the colors surrounding him in the brightly lit space.
Once the moment of shock was over, he looked at you.
“Alright, I have a few vendors that I normally do business with to check out, and you’re welcome to come along, or you can explore on your own,” you told him.
His eyes widened, “I can?”
“Yes,” you chuckled, wagging your finger at him, “Just... try not to get into trouble, and don’t make any unnecessary purchases.”
Then, you split off to meet with your business partners.
Roman watched you leave with a sigh before turning his attention back to the convention, “Right. Well, Roman Sionis is about to conquer this convention.”
He made his way around the outskirts, pausing periodically when something caught his eye. A flower here, an arrangement there. Along the way he learned more about the business than he ever thought he would. And then... he saw it: the convention’s main attraction this year. In the middle of the hall, stood an enormous dinosaur covered in flowers. He had never seen anything so grand or so delicate despite its size and stature.
“I must have it,” he murmured to himself as he walked closer to it, like a moth drawn to a flame.
He looked around at the people manning the booth next to it, apparently set up for souvenir pictures.
“Ah, excuse me,” he called out, “How much for the dinosaur?”
“What do you mean?” One of them asked incredulously.
“I would like to buy the dinosaur,” Roman repeated, like it was obvious.
“I see...” A woman behind the table said, sizing him up. “And, what shoppe are you from?”
“Oh, just this little shoppe in Gotham,” he shrugged.
The woman’s eyes lit up, “You wouldn’t happen to be Roman SIonis, would you?”
Roman looked back and forth around him, suspicious. “Yes...”
The woman chuckled, “Your arrangements have become quite popular. Let me just... make a quick phone call.”
“Whatever you need to do,” he nodded, watching the woman step away out of earshot, but continue to cast glances his way.
As you were finishing up with your rose provider, your phone rang.
“Hello?” you asked.
“Hello, dear, it’s Amelia from Upstate Home and Gardens,” the voice replied.
“Amelia! It’s so good to hear from you. Are you at the convention?”
“Yes, I’m manning the photo booth,” she explained, “That’s actually why I called.”
“Alright...” you trailed off in confusion.
“Your partner is trying to purchase the dinosaur,” Amelia stated.
You looked off into the crowd like you were on The Office. “I see. I’ll be right there.”
Roman watched the woman hang up her phone and walk back over. “Well?”
You swiveled your head and spotted them close by, making your way over.
“Roman Sionis, what did I tell you before we split off?” you asked.
“Don’t make any unnecessary purchases,” he sighed.
You gestured to the dinosaur. “I think this counts as unnecessary.”
Roman shot Amelia a hurt look, “You told her?”
Amelia just shrugged and walked away.
“Darling, think about how impressive it would be in the shoppe!” Roman said.
“Roman, if we brought it back, we’d barely have a shoppe. It would take up the whole space,” you laughed.
“But, I like it.”
“Then, we’ll take a picture with it, and perhaps you can make a smaller version for the front window when we get back,” you compromised.
He pouted, “Alright, darling.”
You shook your head at him. Unbelievable. The two of you took a photo with the dinosaur and thanked Amelia before continuing on your tour of the convention, but this time, you kept Roman with you.
The two of you came upon the bridal bouquet section and you inspected the bouquets. A particular one with peonies caught your eye. Gently, you reached out to stroke the delicate petals.
“Peonies,” Roman said thoughtfully, “They mean.... a happy marriage?”
“Mhm,” you murmured before pulling back.
“It’s a beautiful bouquet. Darling, why don’t you buy it?” Roman asked, picking up the flowers.
“Roman, I’m not a bride,” you said like it was the obvious answer.
He looked down at the flowers in his hands, murmuring, “What if you were?”
Your brow furrowed as he looked up at you with eyes full of hope.
“Roman Sionis, what are you saying?” you asked with an upturn of your lips.
“I... I suppose,” he started, getting down on one knee and holding the bouquet up to you, “I’m asking you if you’ll take these flowers and marry me.”
Marriage. The events of your relationship flipped back through your head as you looked at this man in front of you. So much had changed. The two of you had changed. You were no longer naive, and he was no longer the Prince of Darkness. No, kneeling before you now in a pair of jeans, a dark v-neck t-shirt, and a blue jacket was your knight in shining armor. This was a man you could start a life with. This was the man you wanted to start a life with.
“Do you always ask your business partners to marry you?” you asked, softly taking the bouquet from him.
“Only the ones that I fall in love with,” he said with a soft smile. “So, is that a yes?”
“It’s a yes,” you beamed.
He pulled you in for a kiss, and then you turned back to find the booth’s owner looking at you with misty eyes.
“Oh, just take the flowers!” he said before blowing his nose into his handkerchief.
You giggled, taking Roman’s hand first going to a jewelry store to buy rings, and then going to find city hall.
The clerk in the office gave the two of you a once over after Roman handed him his credit card to purchase the marriage license. The two of you lucked out where this town didn’t require a waiting period to get married once you receive the license. Then, you were shooed off to wait for the courtroom judge to marry you.
“Are you nervous, darling?” he asked, wrapping his arm around your waist.
“No,” you admitted, “I’m not. I’ve been sure and confident in our relationship for a while now. What about you?”
“I fell in love the moment I saw you across the club,” he said sincerely, “I’ve never wanted anything more.”
You were ushered into the room in front of the judge, who took in your attire. “A spur of the moment decision?”
“Something like that,” Roman grinned.
“You two do realize that this is a serious commitment,” the judge replied.
“Of course! It was spur of the moment to purchase the plant, but we’ve had room in the garden for a while, if you will,” you said, giving an analogy.
“I see,” the judge nodded. “Well, do you have any vows?”
Roman took your hand in his and blushed, “Darling, you are the most formidable person I know. You inspire me to be a better version of myself. I promise to always love you, and to work on using my words when I’m annoyed. I also promise to not try and purchase another dinosaur flower display when I know it’s too big. You make me want to learn new things, and take chances. You took a chance on me, and I just hope you never regret it.”
“Never,” you smiled, squeezing his hand. “Roman, I wish I could give you the world, but all I can give you is myself. I hope that is enough. I promise to always be there for you, through good days and bad days. I never expected myself to fall in love like this, but when the conditions are right, sometimes things bloom when you least expect it. I vow to love you and the life we build together.”
The judge smiled at the two of you, “Now, to exchange the rings.”
The two of you slipped your new rings onto each other’s hands, repeating the well known “with this ring, I thee wed.”
“I now pronounce you husband and wife, you may kiss your bride,” the judge smiled.
Roman pulled you close, surprising you by dipping you slightly as he kissed you. You could feel the smile against your lips and couldn’t help but smile back.
Mrs. Roman Sionis. It had a nice ring to it.

To ward off boredom while trapped in Wedding Prep Hell, Tyki drags Cross into a bet involving the klutzy seamstress working at the boutique. However, the simple wager escalates into more than they bargained for.
Excerpt:
He stared at Cross, a mischievous smile on his face. “…I bet you I can get that klutzy lady to go out with me before you.”
Cross snorted outright. He shook his head and returned Tyki’s gaze with an incredulous look. “No.”
“No? What are you scared, Marian? Think you’ll lose to me, someone with so little tact?”
“No. It’s just a stupid bet to make.” Cross pinched the bridge of his nose, pushing up his glasses as he tried to ignore Tyki. “Besides, you have nothing I want. You certainly don’t have money.”
“How about something better than money?” Tyki offered. “Humiliation.”
“What the fuck?”
Tyki continued, unbothered by Cross’ reaction. “Whoever loses has to sing a song at the wedding. And the winner picks the song.”
“That’s fucking ludicrous. I’m not doing that.” He tried to pull away, but Tyki leaned in closer.
“C’mon,” Tyki needled him. “It’ll give us something to do while all this wedding planning is going on. And besides, she’s kinda cute.”
