What I hope is happening is him reading about the Ton’s shared sentiment that he should never wear any clothes. But if he must, that the cravats must stay jaunty, the waistcoats bright and flashy, and the suits cut very tailored. Yes, yes, indeed, I am the Ton in this scenario 👀😬🤷‍♀️

Do you think s3 is going to come out in December? The fact that September is pretty much over and there is no news yet must not be a good sign

I think there is still a chance it will come out in December, I am not giving up hope for that yet. There is too much to indicate that it will be released this year, and if it was definitely going to be postponed because the actors have not been able to finish any post production work then I think it would have been said - to my knowledge only one Netflix production has been postponed until 2024, and it has been stated on their media page. Also, Bridgerton is listed as 'coming soon' which makes me think it will be this year.

Also, the TV Tie-in editions of Romancing Mr Bridgerton are due for release this year (1 October in the UK, and December in other parts of Europe), though it is hard to know if the UK one will have a different cover or just Netflix promo on it, the one for Europe definitely looks like it may have the new cover.

If we look at previous date announcements, we are still within a good timeframe for season 3.

Season 1 release date was announced about 2 months before release

Season 2 release date was announced exactly 3 months before release

QC release date was announced about 10 weeks before release

Essentially at this point I am remaining optimistic that it will be a December release date with or without the strikes.

I know that this isn’t f1 related but I do wonder if you have any theories when promo or anything Bridgerton season 3 related will be out? I know Queen Charlotte has had to have his time but I’m ready for season 3, Polin and Luke and Nicola.

I know that there’s Tudum live from Brazil on Saturday so excited to see Nicola! I know India and Corey are said to be going as well.

OKAY so i'm just spitballing here, I have no authority on any of this BUT

I think there are a few scenarios I could see happen:

S3 premieres on Dec 25, 2023. It mirrors S1's premiere date, it's over 6 months after Queen Charlotte etc etc. I went back to look and they announced the S2 premiere date exactly three months before so I think if S3 is going to be Christmans Day premiere, we wouldn't get that date until September

OKAY now I'm a swiftie so like I'm strapping on that hat to pull something wild and far fetched out but idk, if anybody would think about this, it'd be Shonda. So between the first season and second season premiere dates, it's 455 days. 455 days from S2 premiere would be Jun 23, 2023 so maybe? just maybe?? we'll get a promo or pictures or something

Going with days, between S2 and QC's premiere was 409 days so I guess if they want to give QC a full season breather (which I don't think they'll do because I thought? S3 was already filmed??), we could be looking at a June 2024 release but I would be shocked? if they took that long because over 2 years between seasons, even with QC would be absolutely wild BUT i guess it's not completely off the table?

So yeah, those are the theories that are rattling in my head. Please feel free to give me your own theories/refute mine!! I love talking about Bridgerton/QC -- to hell with keeping this blog strictly motorsports all of the time!!

Dark thought 1: they have major/urgent reshoots that are necessary but have to wait for Spring/Summer for scenery continuity.

Dark thought 2: Netflix didn’t predict losing money through the strikes and plans to quietly shelve big projects like Stranger Things and Bridgerton but are waiting to announce this because of the inevitable backlash (look at Disney Plus and the Spiderwick Chronicles).

It’s not normal and it’s really weird they haven’t come out and said it’s being released in 2024 or even just a nod after the strikes ended to stay it’s still coming. It feels like something sinister is happening.

They had like 3 or 4 months after the show wrapped before the strikes even started to do reshoots. They're not gonna do anything like that 9 months later.

As I said in the previous anon, they're not gonna shelve/cancel the show. If they were, they would have just announced it at this point when they cancelled the other shows last week. Cancelling S&B caused HUGE backlash for Netflix. I don't see them cancelling Bridgerton at this rate. Shonda's shows have HUGE (annoyingly so) longevity given how long Grey's has been on air.

Stranger Things is like 2 weeks from beginning to film, they're likely not gonna shelve it since it's the final season anyway.

I was talking about this with a friend recently, but I think the main issue(s) for a Bridgerton release is:

Schedule/availability with the cast to promote. It's a large cast and they likely want to make sure as many of them as possible are available to promote the show. Press tour, premiere, etc. There's a lot of moving parts to coordinate for everyone.

I briefly entertained the idea of the show coming out for Christmas or New Year's but that would mean they'd have to promo during the holiday's and I'm sure they have family's they want to spend it with instead of working.

I don't think they'll wait TOO much longer (I've seen a date in March floating around) for the show to drop b/c if they wait a whole year since S3 wrapped filming, I don't really see people sticking around to care about the show that long. Even Polin's are getting pissed about no news.
