i like the idea of din introducing luke to his tribe like "and this is my lesbian sister, bo-katan. she's cool, i guess. and this is my little brother, paz" and luke thinks din's talking about ragnar so he crouches to his level and is like "hi, little guy, din's told me a lot about you" only for this giant hunk of metal man to lift luke by the scruff of his robes and be like "i hope you're treating my big brother well"

luke is utterly flabbergasted and din is warning paz to "put him down before his droid attacks you." when luke is finally back on the ground he turns to din, mildly amused and extremely confused. "you said paz was younger than you."

"he is, i'm five years older than him."

"then why is he built like a bantha?"

"we're all adopted, babe. he probably is part bantha."

You slip into the shower with him one random evening. You can’t help it. He’s been gone for two days straight on a bounty hunt and you’ve missed him. His eyes light up with interest as they trail over your naked body, his hands finding your waist and tugging you against him. A shiver of desire arcs up your spine - but you didn’t come here to get fucked silly in the shower. Well, not yet at least. You loop your arms around his shoulders and press up on your toes to kiss him properly. Din groans against your lips, already moving to press you against the shower wall. A gentle tug on his hair is enough to stop him in his tracks.

“Can I wash your hair?” You ask, looking up at him like the picture of innocence.

Din blinks at you, confused. “You want to… wash my hair?”

“Yeah,” You say softly.

There’s no need to over-explain. The two of you have mastered this silent communication over the months you have spent together. He searches your face for a moment before his expression softens, implicit permission given in the way his eyes shine for you.

It wasn't often that he fell asleep first, but there was no doubting the latest job had worn him out. From a close call with Grogu to what felt like an endless chase around an unfamiliar city, Din was stretched as thin as ever. He earned this rest.

That wasn't a luxury Din often granted himself.

He never felt safe enough. Din had opened up enough to you early on to make that clear. Now, he was in a home of his own, as safe as he had been ever since he was a child on his homeworld.

You smiled as you lifted your hand to cup his cheek as gently as you could. He was on his side, his eyes closed and fluttering every once in a while as he dreamt. Your thumb ran under his eye, mindlessly tracing a scar over and over again as you repeated the motion. Din let out a satisfied exhale, but he never stirred.

Your smile became tearful. This was truly everything he deserved and more. You were there for his sleepless nights worrying about where your next safest stop in the Crest would be. You were there to hold him when he tried and failed not to think of Grogu in his absence. You were there to comfort him when he woke from the nightmares of the Armorer's daunting words of excommunication.

Now, you were there for his peace, at long last.

You ran your knuckles along his cheek and pushed yourself up high enough to kiss his forehead, once again remaining gentle to keep him from waking. Even if you wanted to join him in his peaceful slumber, you couldn't. This silence was the sweetest you had ever experienced, and you wanted to remember what it looked like to see him at peace, surrendered to the safety that surrounded him at long last.

Still, as the man with the galaxy's greatest intuition, Din woke the moment you shed your first joyful tear. His tired eyes blinked a few times to adjust, but it wasn't long before his brow furrowed in concern.

"I'm okay," you assured him before he could ask, your voice hushed. "You can go back to sleep."

Din shook his head and lifted a finger to brush away your tear. You chuckled and took his hand, pressing a kiss to his knuckles.

"I was just..." you paused, taking a breath to steady yourself, "I was enjoying you being at peace. That's all."

Din's tired gaze searched yours, the corner of his mouth pulling up in the smallest of smiles. "You need rest, too." It was the first time he'd spoken since he'd woken, his voice hoarse yet genuine.

"I know." You gave his hand a squeeze. "I'll sleep now."

Din nodded, satisfied. "Good." He brought himself close enough for a lazy yet meaningful kiss and kept his face buried in your neck. "See you in my dreams again."

You chuckled at that. "Again?"

"Yeah." His arm tightened around you. "Why else would I be at peace?"

You smiled and buried your face in his head, joining him a dream somehow sweeter than what you had already witnessed that night.

no because i do hope sabine and ahsoka gets to go back to the known galaxy so sabine can return to mandalore and see that it's now a recovering, if not flourishing already, planet for her and her people

can you imagine sabine, being both a jedi padawan and a mandalorian warrior, being accepted in both?

she's going to be the next mandalorian jedi, even the first within her lifetime. sabine, with all of her mandalorian pride and exceptional skills, paired with her jedi training under ahsoka

do you know how amazing it would be to watch sabine return to mandalore, meet with bo-katan as it's mand'alor, witnessing the great forge burning, and watch as the tribes of mandalore working past their differences to rebuild their home planet again?
