the producers/writers of Broadchurch really said "we do not want gay fanfic of this!" and did the only thing that could possibly work for that - they refused to give their main blorbo even one singular male social contact. Just women as far as the eye can see, his bosses women, his One Singular Friend a woman etc.

I don't think in 24 hrs of material does he talk more than 5 actual minutes with a Man outside of an interrogation/ investigation and honestly i applaud their commitment

I just ordered all 3 seasons of broadchruch on DVD because they cost 30€ in total and compared so 21€ for season 3 on prime, i thought it would make more sense to just buy all 3 seasons then.

This is how I’ll sit at my front door, waiting for the package to arrive.

david tennant girlies, how would be feel about a takin' over the asylum × broadchurch crossover?

i'm thinking modern day, with tota about the same as it was in canon with a divergent at the end - campbell deciding to go off to his uncle's for about a month or so before his job at the radio starts, so his dad can't get him under his thumb or have him sectioned. he's alec's nephew, obviously, on his mother's side, set either s2 or s3.

i think alec would definitely provoke another "who's not a patient, but should be" type of comment. i just sort of really want people to be forced to see alec's kind side, because campbell simply will not shut up and let him be a hermit. also for someone to call him out on his clearly unhealthy behaviours

idk, just alec sort of having to look after somebody, and campbell being rapidly thrust into a world that is just... so far removed from his own, whilst having just found a family and still raw with grief, all the while telling himself that no, he chose to be here, so he should shut up and act like he's enjoying it.

I looked on ao3 and theres I think one other fic with a similar premise that's well enough recieved by those who found it, although I think I'll take mine in a slightly different direction
