Honestly, even without Art’s attempts at manipulation and sabotage, I don’t think Patrick and Tashi’s relationship would’ve survived anyway. Before they started dating, Patrick was criticizing her career plans and Tashi was never interested in entertaining his massive ego at her expense. Passion and chemistry are important to relationships, but if that’s the only foundation, it’s gonna crumble quickly.

I was thinking about merthur and shadowpeach, and my brainrots gave me thoughts about shadowpeach in merthur's positions. My first thought was macaque as merlin cause of the devotion to their king, and extreme loyalty. but Emrys is the absolute most powerful person in the universe, kind of like wukong.

But if wukong was in merlin position, no way he wouldnt blow his secret in a week and/or overthow urther (and either place himself as king or macaque)

merthur is devotion in silence and secrets and devotion in sacrifice. both of those idiots have a habit of doing selfless and self-sacrificial acts out of devotion and loyalty. but it was choked by prophecies and generations of harm

shadowpeach is devotion in self-destruction and shared secrets and silent paths made together. they fought together without any needing to hide. their care was open and understood by others. but it was ruined by the hubris of one who wished to conquer the stars just to ensure his loved were protected. the devotion soured into a resentment of their past joys because they didn’t know how to stop themselves from reaching more than they should have

With that said, let me tell you—if anything bad happened to Lan Xichen, Lan Wangji would rip the goddamn world apart looking for him, saving him, protecting him, etc.

He’d track and search for him just like he did for Wei Wuxian after Lotus Pier was attacked, possibly even to greater lengths because though LWJ cares deeply for WWX, they were still navigating their feelings back then.

But his brother is his brother. They’ve been together since day one. We saw how broken LWJ was when LXC disappeared after the attack on the Cloud Recesses—his confidant, his twin jade, his family, a piece of himself suddenly ripped away after years of being a constant, unwavering and guiding presence by his side.

Without LXC, there’s no doubt in my mind that LWJ would feel lost and alone and determined to get him back safely no matter the cost. He’d be calculated and composed while doing it because that’s just who he is, but that doesn’t mean a fire isn’t burning inside.

And disappearing is one thing but if LXC was kidnapped?

Oh, I pity the fool.

Bichen might mean ‘to avoid worldly matters’ but that sword’s gonna be up close and personal in everyone’s business when LWJ finds out who took his brother. 🗡️🔥

last two days ago I’ve binged and finished watching bdub’s 12 hour limited pov and. and ill never be over it. or okay. ever again. ill never be over how desperately he wanted his family of the clockers to just, not fight or go after etho. he’s so loyal to all three that he was pulled by so many sides he could only beg them not to and watch. like in session 7 and the last hour of the video how he stayed back and watched as scar went after etho and the skeleton getting the kill and after etho going after scar and scar’s own wolf killing him. there’s so much more to say and write and draw and communicate but mghhhhh.

We won't ever get it, but I think it would've been cool to see an antagonist/client who hates Edgeworth specifically because of what he did as von Karma's student. Like someone whose loved one -- I want to say 'sister' because AA, but I think it'd be pretty cool if it was their father -- was wrongly convicted and given the death sentence because he silenced witnesses or presented faulty evidence or something similar, and there's no fix to it. The case ends with the truth being revealed and ringing hollow, because they don't want revenge, not really; maybe they just want the verdict overturned, but even that doesn't change anything, because the person is gone, and whatever damage could have been done has been done, and they just have to live with it, all of them. I think it'd be interesting to see how Edgeworth and the people around him handle that confrontation -- the idea that you can change and try to fix your mistakes the best you can, but there are some things you'll never be able to atone for. Not really. And you just have to keep living.
