honestly i’m kinda sick of seeing jameson being mischaracterised and accused of being too horny on the brothers hawthorne or ooc lmao.like sorry he has the hottest girlfriend and wants her?? there’s nothing wrong with him wanting his gf more intimately but that doesn’t erase their emotional intimacy or the multiple other sides he showed us in this book.it’s totally normal for him to think of his girlfriend *that* way but he also thought of her as his person,his constant,his tether,the only person he trusts,his future,his forever and always and said he doesn’t even remember his life before her.he talked about how he loves her mind and loves eavesdropping on her thoughts,letting them weave in and out of his own and SO much more.i just think it’s unfair to latch onto specific scenes where he had some impure thoughts lmao( but let’s remember he is a teenage boy and avery also had those in tfg,maybe they were less but still) and characterise him as solely horny and just that when he is so much more(and so is his relationship with avery).it’s unfair to jlb as well!

The Brothers Hawthorne - Jennifer Lynn Barnes

Another book, another five star read. Barnes has really unlocked something with Avery and the Hawthornes. This one didn’t work quite as well for me as the previous three, but that had more to do with how great I thought the trilogy was than me not liking this one. I’m going to continue to ask for more Xander and Nash until I get it. Can only imagine that Barnes was a middle child herself and that’s why the oldest and youngest aren’t getting to shine.

Loved both Grayson’s and Jameson’s story lines in this. Both worked perfectly to make them address their own insecurities and grow from them. The Game was such a fun story for Jameson and Avery to do and makes me really excited for the next book when they make a game of their own. Savannah was a bit too much like Grayson for me, but I was really rooting for Acacia and Gigi just shot up my character rankings even after just one book. The reveal at the end of Jameson’s last chapter was genuinely shocking and I need answers ASAP.

Esse livro não nos revelou o porque de Tobias hawthorne deixar a maior parte de sua herança para avery grambs, uma jovem que so quer sobreviver ao ensino medio, ganhar uma bolsa de estudos garantir sua independência, mas nos revelou um pista importantíssima pra descobrir o misterioso motivo pelo qual Tobias deixaria tanto dinheiro a uma estranha, desde que eu terminei esse livro fico ligando os ponto me sentindo Sherlock Holmes em um caso sempre pensando em pistas, a história e envolvente, personagens bem trabalhados, escrita boa e bem detalhada mas uma coisa eu digo não leia esse livro se vc não quiser se apaixonar pelo mistério Hawthorne.
