Natural redheaded and greeneyed yoruba nigerian second gen inmigrant.She's darkskin with 4d hair

Autistic with schizophrenia

No masking game and that's her and Percy's special connection origin

Dresses like Miss Frizzle but with punk accents.Example:Gaudy dress with colorful tights,demonias,a spike collar and pink tears eyeliner

Punk Percy Jackson headcanons but by an actual punk instead of someone who thinks skateboarding is an aesthetic

So first off this will include my Pjo self-insert Lex de los Santos since i'm a book!Percy selfshiper(and Walker is my little guy so expect lots of appreciation for him on this blog too)and if you're gonna be hateful of that,please just scroll past thanks!Now lets get into it:

Always had the punk mindset as seen in canon by her being anti-authority,rebelling against all corruption she sees and being extremely protective and loving towards younger minorities

But was too poor to afford the clothes and piercings and such.Didn't bother him though since he cared more about acting and thinking punk than looking it

Thalia was his first real experience with the subculture headon and that's a big reason why he admired and was lowkey jealous of her along with a bit of gender envy

Goes to protests with and does charity work with Rachel

And she buys him a bunch of punk stuff(From punk bussinesses ofc,otherwise what's the point)

Learned to DIY so many things it's a running gag

Riot Grrrl and Mcr fan-Also not punk but stans Megan Thee Stallion,Ice Spice and Lo-Fi beats too.Also really likes Green Day!!

The specific types of punk Percy is are afropunk(i hc them as half afro-dominican and half black-greek),seapunk(NOT because of Poseidon but because of Sally)and either crustpunk or pastel punk depending wether we're talking her as a bigender transfem and a misc between masc and fem presentation or her as a super femme trans woman.Not for gender roles reasons obviously because that would be ridicioulous but i just think that their lives would be significantly so that leads to a few differences in personalities and tastes

Exclusively buys his video games and consoles and legos secondhand due to being anti-capitalism

Killed Luke in TLO not only because of being the hero of the prophecy but also because no actual punk wouldn't unalive a fascist who was also a serial ped0phile the second they got the chance.She made sure it was extra painful too and even had Nico use his soul erasing power we saw in BOO on him

Perlex is punk4punk but Lex is pastel punk and solarpunk!!They go on punk dates like going to concerts together in matching outfits and skateboarding and rollerblading in their opposites aesthetics board and skates and defacing public property together <3 Also Percy has the cocky flirty punk guy thing going on you usually see in male characters who are but it's a Lex exclusive

Considers traditional masculinity a burden,weird,confusing and gross(see her calling Ares ugly + Finding Apollo extremely annoying for acting like a stereotypical guy)but forces it onto herself because she's desperate to fit in and be accepted

Specifically them being butch4femme since Annabeth is a tomboy who hates girlyness for herself and Percy as per stated before dosen't wanna be masc.Also,daughter of the king of Atlantis?'Her hair was curly,like a princess'?Gender envy strikes again!!

She acts like a Mom Friend very often,especially to younger characters,and i'm allowed to say that because i'm afab and a Mom Friend myself

Rick has commented on her sexuality but never her gender so it's not like it's been debunked

A joke one but Blackjack was called a mare in SOM yet a stallion from TTC onward so trans horse boy and his trans horse girl owner

Luke's relathionship with her heavily parallels his to Annabeth,Thalia and Silena so it's not a stretch to say this is unintentional subtext of her being a girl like them and him picking up on her vulnerability like he did them(Not in a 'chilvarious' way btw)

Jason and her remind me of many common main m/f romance tropes-The 'hotheaded girl x levelheaded boy' classic,tall girlfriend and slighter taller boyfriend,contrasting in a complimentary way powers,iirc it being obvious to everyone they instantly liked eachother(feel free to correct me and i'll remove this),Team Parents to the babies of the cast and 'Sweet Sixteen' joke since Percy met her first boyfriend at that age.Worth noting that this would make Percy Jason's best friend who's a girl and that he broke with Piper because their feelings for eachother were shallow and their dating dynamic was too by extent

Similarly,Percy and Annabeth fall under the 'dark haired female protagonist and her tomboy blonde best friend' trope that was so popular 2000s/2010s

More so motifs i think work well than evidence but sea related things are usually associated with femininity-Calling ships 'she',mermaids,pearl jewelry,the moon controlling the tides,the term 'Beach Bunny',etc

Her random reinforments of her 'manhood' are very inconsistent with the rest of her personality and we're given no indication Sally raised her on gender roles so it's less Percy being Percy and more Rick being a cis man

Rick also agreed with the headcanon she loves Led Zepplin so i googled to find out if they were lgbt and they weren't but what i learned was enough to let me know they're a hit with lgbt people for a reason

Again,just my own take,but i feel her being pastel and kidcore is more fitting than any other interests and style for her in addition to her being canonically punk and they're both in-character for her since she's got a positive opinion on girly girls and the second one is an excellent coping mechanism for constant childhood trauma

She's at most in-character,well-written and realistic when she just lets herself be instead of trying to be what everyone wants her to and to be brutally honest,this includes the fandom.She's a femme trans woman and i'm right

Apperance

Monoracial black but mixed etchnicity since Poseidon is black-greek and Sally is an afro-dominican third gen inmigrant.Darkskin,big nose that adorns his face,thick lips and 4c type hair.His iconic sea green eyes remain unchanged because black people with green eyes >>>>>>

6'4 by his 20s thanks to demigod genes and a realistic tank-As in,dosen't have rippling muscles because ew but instead a healthy mix of fat and muscle that gives him a thick build.Stops shaving the lower half of his face too but not his upper lip because he thinks mustaches are ugly

Personality

Same sense of humor,poor social skills,anger issues and merciless tendencies as canon and will always be that way but her emotional regulation has gotten so much better

Sally being the mom of all time made her turn into a Team Mom and Poseidon's neglect made him decide to be a better father than he could ever be so he's a Team Dad too and these are canon like above but they're amped up to explicitly parental habits like platonic kisses for his pseudo-kids and cooking for them and getting into their interests with them even if they're out of his age range

And one last canon adjusted thing is that he still hates the gods but it's kicked up several notches by him actually managing to kill Zeus like he did Luke in TLO because she was who the Great Prophecy was about and thus making the remaining ones so scared of her they can't stop her and the other demigods and non-god greco-roman beings with a few token deity allies from revolutionizing the system in Tods.They're titled 'The Hero and Destroyer of Olympus' because thanks to him their world is finally good

Autistic(actually canon regardless of Rick's intentions)but went largely undiagnosed despite very obviously having every single symptom because he dosen't fall under any stereotypes

In the third Tods book,Riptide gains counciousness due to how all that he's done with it and she's certainly Percy's companion by how she acts.She grows new gear and those are the greek word for 'ultimate' and a thicker and longer blade and manipulation of liquid to a small extent herself and her hilt tints itself an oceanic blue

Dosen't bother with storms because Zeus was so annoying about them he dosen't wanna create them himself

Can soothe aching wounds with water but not really heal them

No siren abilities and he's grateful for that since they creep him out

Sea creature speech includes krakens

As it turns out,the more he loves the sea,the stronger he gets and this is why he keeps his seapunk side in moderation

Eventually,as far forward as him being married,he can create water out of thin air and he fucks around with it more than serious training

Being a demigod gets way harder to hide in Tods and it's both funny and angsty

By some miracle,none of this ever goes to his head and he's as humble as ever can be

My Percy Jackson headcanons/rewrite

Percy's a femme trans woman who's strong admiration for the other female characters is half fueled by gender envy and her type of femmeness is very distinctively tgirl.She's pastel punk,has zero tolerance for 'boys being boys' and physically transitioning(via Persephone gifting her Metamorphose,food that's been blessed by Aphrodite to give the eater their ideal apperance)boosted her self-confidence big time and she was into skating as a little kid but gave it up as the trauma set it as she grew up but got back into it as part of her healing journey.Sally is the most supportive mom any trans person could ever ask for and Thalia is the reason she went punk thanks to her being transfem too and helping her settle into her gender and she chose the middle name 'Amelia' so they could match(And her full first name was changed to Persephone as a thank you to the og)

She's bi but dosen't wanna date and wants to just vibe instead

Sharks and cats are her comfort animals

Persephone and Sally fall in love over the course of Persephone's visits to her in Hoo to check up on how she was doing without Percy and this culminates in her plan to kill Hades succeeding and becoming the solo ruler of the Underworld with Sally as her consort and wife.Percy is now a junior and her,Nico and Hazel are siblings squared

Her,the rest of the Seven,Grover,Thalia,Clarisse,Nico and Reyna are known as 'The Second Argonauts'

I've said this before but my trans woman!Percy Jackson is the specific kind of femme that subverts cishet people's idea of femininity.Blues instead of pinks,pastel punk instead of traditional with the exception of loving her afro-dominican heritage,dark skin and strong facial features and super kinky hair,Cool Big Sister Friend and Team Mom instead of the 'overbearing no fun all rules holder of the braincell woman' stereotype,tall with a realistically thick build that has both fat and muscle,interests in cutesy and kiddy things instead of focusing on what's 'normal',very high standards for men because she knows her worth and a very low interest in anything romantic or sexual.She's autistic and aroaceflux bi and the closest thing to a stereotypical girl thing she has is liking being called 'Doll' and even then she lets exactly four people call her that and it's Sally,Annabeth,Rachel and her s/o(who widely varies depending on my mood).There's also the her being way stronger than almost any man in the franchise but that one's canon
