๑-context: a summer activitie with them
๑-featuring: kazutora, chifuyu, Baji, Mikey, inui, shinichiro, Kokonoi, Rindou, ran, mitsuya,
°- kazutora hanemiya
• exploring abandoned places and going so far out into the city, climbing over fences just to get into the buildings and running from the police or other pedestrians that had caught you trespassing in someone else's property even though it's not like you both are doing anything harmful there. your just enjoying each others company whilst getting excitement in exploring new places that may be even a little dangerous but what's a little fun if you don't 'ball it'
°- chifuyu matsuno
• making hand made jewelry is a cute activity, you had to teach chifuyu how to tie the string right otherwise it'd come loose but after he got the jist of it y'all were making many sets of matching bracelets that you wear all the time in different colours and patterns. though sometimes it gets frustrating when it comes to tying the string and you can't seem to get the loop right or when your fingers accidentally let go of one side of the string and then all the beads fall downwards and both of you end up crawling on the floor trying to recollect every lose bead, but that doesn't happen often.
°- Baji Keisuke
• forest walks, not all the time but sometimes he'd suggest wandering around a forest, picking up weird shaped branches to show you, finding a bug on a leaf and if you don't like bugs then he'd be a nuisance about it and chase you around with the it. but if you have a heart with bugs then hed look around trying to find the coolest looking one specifically to show/give you and he'd dedicate to it even if he does occasionally get a little grossed out by them.
°- manjiro sano/ mikey
• constant motorbike rides! if you have your own motorbike then the both of you will be riding till you reach the end of earth and seeing which one can out do the other. but if you don't then you'd be latched on at the back of his bike and going with the flow of the wind to cool off from the heat. mikey would also try teaching you how to ride a motorbike, he's more patient with you than anyone else so you can take your time with taking in the information so that you know how to switch gears and dont attempt in going through a wall.
°- Inui seishu / shinichiro sano (I couldn't decide)
• due to him being in the bike shop and working on fixing some motorbikes here and there, there'd be trips to visit him holding a sweet, cold treat to give him on his lunch breaks. though when you're teasing him a little too much he'd purposely smear his oil grease stained fingers across your skin to leave a large, black mark and it'd cause a small fit of smiles and laughter but also some small annoyance on your side as you have to scrub the mark off from you by the sink.
°- Kokonoi hajime
• perfect time and weather to go visit new towns and enjoy the beautiful scenery that neither of you thought you could see until now. browsing into small business shops that you haven't seen/been into before and if something catches your eyes that you'd die for to have then Koko would buy it for you in a heartbeat because seeing you smile with light in your eyes at an item makes him want to keep you in that gleaming mood.
°- rindou haitani
• spontaneous night outs where you start the night to be all cozy watching a series with a tub of ice cream to then be all dressed up and sparkly after one text or phone call from rindou mentioning a club is doing a certain theme. the both of you may seem to be there for the party but actually it's the attention you both bring, getting all dressed up is the fun part and most of the time you do it together and have matching outfits or accessories, give everyone around a sight to see and only then do you give your all with the drinks and dancing.
°- ran haitani
• constant need to be in the pool or anywhere that has water, especially on hot boiling days when a 5 minute walk would feel like 5 hours. in the day you'd usually go to an outside pool and enjoy yourselves and then at night you'd have to pamper him since he's still affected from the heat, he has no tolerance. you tend to go to public ones but only those that you know are clean and have decency of others, essentially public pools that kids don't go to.
°- mitsuya takashi
• summer is the perfect time for him to work on summer clothes and you always happen to be his muse meaning you're the one who he always dots down your measurements and your always the one that tries the clothes on and half the time you tend to keep the clothing. if you wear dresses then sun dresses are always something that he enjoys sowing for you, you spinning around as the dress flows and spins with you, he doesn't make those basic ones but rather he puts in a lot of detail just for you, making it adorable and flattering. but if you don't wear dresses or such clothing then he always considers what kind of material he uses, that way for the hot days your not melting and instead you feel more free and feel a breeze.

Before reading, please check series masterlist to read the warning(s), disclaimer, and to make sure you’re on the right chapter. Minors do NOT interact.
If you enjoy this, you can buy me a Ko-fi :) Likes, reblogs, and comments are greatly appreciated!
The woman behind the counter looked up as soon as the store door opened, carrying the humid air from the outdoors into the air-conditioned space. Nonetheless, she greets you with her rehearsed smile, watching you stroll up to her with their signature boutique paper bag on top of your suitcase.
“Hello, what can I help you with today?” she asked.
You placed the paper bag on the counter, pulling out the dress you bought the other day. “Uh, I’d like to return these, if that’s possible.”
“Is there a problem with the items?”
You shook your head. “No, I… I’ve just changed my mind.”
“Alright, no problem,” the cashier replied. “Do you still have the receipt?”
“Yes, it's inside the bag,” you handed her the paper bag.
The woman accepted it, carefully extracted the dress, and inspected the item carefully with her fingers and eyes. Then she confirmed the lack of defect and said, "Okay, this is refundable. Just give me a minute to process the return."
You nod your head and wait. The sound of keyboard clicking fills the near silence. You sweep your gaze around: at the mannequins in the display window, at two other customers talking to an employee, at the shelves labeled “SALE” and “NEW ARRIVALS.”
“Here you go.” The cashier’s voice broke through your reverie.
You turned around and collected the refund, muttering a small "thank you." With your hand around your luggage's telescopic handle, you're ready to leave the store and hail a taxi to the airport for your flight in two hours.
However, the "NEW ARRIVALS" sign stares back at you. The memory of that lovely blue dress you passed up burns a hole in the back of your mind.
You abandoned your suitcase, leaving it in the involuntary care of the cashier, and ran your feet to the rack where the dress had once hung. The beautiful blue dress with lace overlay. You began to browse through the garments, your heart skipping a beat every time your hand touched a fabric that wasn't what you were looking for.
“Can I help you with something?”
You nearly jumped out of your skin, whirling around to face the questioner. There stood the same employee who had assisted you the other day. You were beginning to wonder if she remembered you too, when her expression changed to recognition.
“Hello, um…” You say, stammering. Then, you restart your sentence by clearing your throat and ask, “Do you still have that blue dress? The one from the other day?”
“It’s not on the rack.”
“Oh, I see,” you murmured in a tiny voice. “Has it been sold already?”
The employee shakes her head, and the smile you overlooked at first broadens. "No! I mean, I.. I saved it for you, in case you came back. And you did!"
You felt your heart swell in your chest. It was just a beautiful dress in the perfect blue hue, undoubtedly not the only one in the world. It was no haute couture either—but it felt like a glimmer of goodness after years of suffering. You couldn’t put it into words why a simple dress from a boutique in San Francisco had such an effect on you—but the thought of wearing it under the glaring sun, with the dress flowing gracefully around your calves, felt like a small slice of heaven.
“Thank you,” you smile gratefully. “Can I buy it?”
A week later.
The small grains of dust appeared fainter in the weak sunshine that filtered through the window. Outside the apartment, London is cloudy as always, gloomy stratocumulus hanging low and overshadowing the city, but inside your tiny living room, your eyes light up brighter than any Sol. You dust your hands after placing the last remaining book in the box.
The once cluttered space has been transformed, with most of your belongings packed away in boxes lining the hallway. In three days, the moving truck will transport them and the furniture you have chosen to keep to your new residence, and this place will become another one symbolizing a chapter finished and closed.
Your phone rings; you read the caller ID and quickly snatch it up.
“Hello?” you start, listening to the other person speak. "Yeah, of course, it's at 7 p.m., right? Yes, of course I'll be there. I'll meet you there. Bye."
A huff escaped your lips. Then, you made your way to the bathroom, stepped into the shower, cleaned yourself under the warm water, and stepped out of the shower.
After drying off, you stood in front of the mirror, a towel around your damp hair. Carefully, you unwrapped it, scrunching the strands, working the excess moisture out before reaching for the hairdryer. The loud hum of the device filled the space, the hot wind touching your temples as you combed your fingers through your hair.
After doing your hair, your makeup comes next. Once done, you grab the gloss, smearing the product across your lips. Popping your lips, you stare at your reflection. You make your way to the bedroom to get dressed.
“Shit!” You cursed under your breath as you glanced at the clock, realizing it was nearly 6.30 p.m. and you hadn't left the house yet.
You slipped into the blue dress without hesitation. Grabbing a pair of moissanite earrings, you put them on your ears and then hurriedly ran to the hallway to retrieve your heels.
“Oh, right, they’re in the boxes,” you mutter to yourself, rushing straight to the stack of labeled containers. Quickly, you rummaged through the one marked “shoes” and prayed that the black heels you intended to wear tonight were at the very top.
Luckily, they are, which means you won't have to waste any more of your limited time browsing through various shoes. As you stood up, you accidentally knocked your side on the coffee table—something fell to the floor with a clatter. Another curse under your breath before you bend down to inspect the fallen object.
It was the ashtray.
Its now-shattered form is a reminder that it is still present after all this time, despite the fact that you don't smoke. Once, you took a drag of someone else's cigarette and coughed afterwards. The other person warned you that it wasn't healthy for you.
Carefully, you gathered the pieces. You tossed the fragments into the trash.
You grabbed your purse, double-checking that you had your phone, ID, medications (you absolutely have created a bunch of alarms for this), and cards. As you gave yourself one last look in the mirror, you frowned at the sight of your clear, glossy lips. Fully aware that you were running late, you ran to the bathroom for your makeup pouch anyway.
You wiped off the gloss, replacing it with a deep, crimson red lipstick. Taking a look at yourself, you smiled in satisfaction. The bold color is a perfect finishing touch.
With a final glance around the apartment, you walked out of the door. Raising your hand to signal a cab, you motioned for one to slow down before climbing inside it. The vehicle took you to the location where you were scheduled to meet Henri.
“Sorry I’m late!” you breathed the second you found him.
Henri turned to you, shaking his head. “About time you showed up!”
“Is everyone already there?”
“Oui. Everyone but you,” he replied. “The investors are already there too.”
You stopped, eyes widening in alarm. “You're serious?”
A chuckle, then: “Non, non, I’m just teasing you,” he says, laughing even harder as you nearly roll your eyes. “Nice dress, by the way."
Hearing it, you couldn't help but smile underneath your nose.
"Thank you." You replied. The two of you crossed the road together.

C is for -- Charon
Oh, Charon 🥺
I just adore this guy, and still, I cannot believe how close it was between him and Boone on this poll. But either way is a win in my book, really😅
And here is the 2k event masterlist, for your browsing pleasure!
But I hope y'all love this! Just make sure to check out the rating 😉
--
Pair: Charon x F!Lone
Dialogue Prompt: “Can you just hold me for a moment?”
Word: Care
Rating: NSFW
Category: Fluff
Word Count: 1.6k
NSFW below, minors, please do not interact!
“Charon–”
Lone’s strained voice sent another shock down the ghoul’s searing spine. He gritted his teeth, his strong fingers clenching her thigh tightly where he held her legs open for him, where his broad hips slotted between them with every forceful thrust.
“Say it again.” He growled, his grip like iron, his expression focused on staving off that great feeling of release, in favor of tipping his partner over the edge first and foremost.
“Charon, fuck,” She breathed out heavily, her mesmerizing chest rising and falling rapidly with his jostling, with her own jerky movements, the bucking of her hips pushing him deeper into her, and following him still as he pulled back.
Close. She’s so close.
Charon's eyes closed briefly, as he allowed his head to fall back, to soak in the mere feeling of her body beneath his. The warmth of her thighs and her ass, pressed flush against him, the softness of her smooth skin against his own rugged planes of flesh, his firm, calloused hands pressing divots into her yielding plushness.
The small, stone room within the abandoned house reeked of their lewd activities, and in it, he felt the slickness of her sweat, he reveled in the sweet sound of her keening moans, and the way her walls gripped him… Like she never wanted him to leave her.
It took effort to haul himself in and out of her tightness, but the way she reacted when he hit that sweet spot deep inside her, when the roughness of his skin rubbed her just right, he couldn’t take it.
Charon’s eyes sprang open again, his grip on her thigh tightened to the point of bruising, and he brought his free hand to her center. Expertly, his fingers delved between her lower lips, and began to press firm circles over the sensitive nub he found there.
He braced himself again, as Lone’s hips flew up off the old, creaky mattress, her own fingers tightening against the fabric until they paled, her eyes rolling back as lightning seemed to explode up her spine.
Charon groaned at the way her heat pulsed around him, as she came undone with the press of his fingers. He held onto her tightly as she rode out her pleasure, his stark eyes unblinking as he absorbed the rapturous sight beneath him. He usually made it a point not to ogle his employer– his partner.
Right.
‘Were together now,’ she’d told him. Almost a month ago; still, for one as old as him, one who was as set in his ways as a person could be, it took Charon some getting used to.
But he respected the hell out of her, no matter the nature of her personal relation to him. He’d seen enough of the way the other wasteland assholes treat young women, he’d ended enough of those interactions himself… He wouldn’t be a part of that problem, not like others had sometimes forced him to be. And yet… There were certain special times, where he let his eyes linger on her seemingly just as disrespectfully, where he let those feelings surrounding her engulf him, he let the sensations flow through his body and become evidence of the attraction he felt for her.
But therein lay the difference between him and them. He'd never disrespect her, beyond a bit of a gawking look, that is. But beyond that? Charon would give his life for Lone, and not just because of that scrap of paper she held. He would do or be whatever she needed most, any time that she asked, simply because she was Lone, and the way she allowed him to be this?
To show her how he felt, truthfully?
She was the first smoothskin– or person Charon felt this sort of affection for in… who the hell knows how long?
Now was one of those times, though. When-- despite his respect, his affection, the rareness, the novelty of being with her in the first place-- he let himself really look at her. The way her breasts heaved, glossy and picturesque with sweat, the way her delicate brows furrowed and shielded her eyes from him, the way her mouth hung open, releasing wanton gasps that, when they met Charon's ears, left his stomach tightening and his cock throbbing with need. Need to tip over his own threshold and into the same such pleasure he saw her enveloped in.
“Lone…” Charon’s low voice sounded from his chest, and he felt another shudder pass through her body and into his. Felt that heavenly gush of slick around him, felt the way she constricted him again, before her body fell, lax and tingling, back against the mattress.
Her eyes blinked open, dark and sensual with the way her pupils were blown out with the pleasure he’d just wrought from her.
“Hm?” She hummed, almost absently.
“Where?” His bright, intense eyes stayed locked to her glossy ones as he began to thrust into her relaxed body once again, with a renewed vigor. Lone grimaced slightly as she felt his cock drag along her walls, feeling every rough sensation amplified by her own recent release.
“A-anywhere, just– ah, just not inside.”
He gave a gruff nod, before setting his grip upon her hips, and pulled her forward into him, instantly picking up his pace as she gripped onto the mattress for dear life.
“God, Charon. Fuck, not too–”
“Almost. There.” He grunted, feeling his member swelling further with each harsh thrust, each blissful drag of her hot, tight walls around him.
He slammed in, one more time, before fully wrenching his cock out of her, just in time to spill his release onto the foot of the mattress.
Charon continued kneeling, allowing himself just a moment to breathe, to let that feeling of relief wash over him as one hand gripped his throbbing member, giving it a couple final jerks, until he was fully spent. His eyes darted to Lone, noting the way small tremors still ran through her body, and damn-near smirking at that blissed out look upon her face.
She’d closed her eyes, he noticed, as he stood up and gathered his clothes, already beginning to dress and prepare to take watch while his partner slept soundly behind him.
He’d only managed to haul his pants up over his hip bones, when he heard a small voice sound through the dim.
“Charon?”
“Hm?” He stepped over to the mattress, his brow furrowed as he looked down at her.
Lone’s hair was mussed, her eyes tired, her voice almost as raspy as his own.
She needs to rest, after all that.
He had to stop himself from looking visibly pleased at the thought.
“Do you… do you have to go on watch right now?”
Charon knelt down, as she sat up on the mattress. Meeting one another in the middle.
Distractedly, the ghoul found his hand moving to her arm, rubbing over a healing mark there. Maybe from some scuffle with raiders or mirelurks, maybe from him, he didn’t know.
Have to be more careful… He recalled his grip on her thigh earlier, and on her hips. She’ll bruise from that, too.
“Charon?”
Her voice hit him, and he looked back up to her with a shrug.
He should go on watch. It’s what he was supposed to do, if he was going to protect her. But the terms of their agreement had changed so much over the months…
“Well… Instead of that, do you think you could, um…”
She was always so strong, outspoken, usually so direct. It had surprised him in the beginning, knowing the soft vault life she’d come from. But he’d always admired it.
This behavior though… It was strange.
“Is something wrong?” He heard himself ask, even as one rough hand continued to stroke over her skin.
“N-no, I just… Can you just hold me? For a moment? It doesn’t have to be long, but…”
“Yes.” He stopped her. It sounded as though she were going to explain herself, try and justify this request, that to any other partner should be more than reasonable. It was expected, he was sure.
But with me…
Not for the first time in their relationship, not even for the first time that night, Charon found himself wondering what she saw in him. What she wanted from him.
But this… in a way, it helped him understand.
She truly sees me as her partner. Not an asset, not a bodyguard or a beast of burden, not a weapon, not a means to an end.
But an equal.
It was something that was going to take some getting used to.
“I don’t want to make you uncomfortable, or anything. I know we’re never mushy like this, really, but I don’t know, tonight, I just…”
“It’s alright.”
Lone moved over a bit on the mattress, making room for his bulk as Charon settled, albeit a bit uncomfortably, beside her. The mattress stopped supporting him almost as high as his knees, but Charon tried not to pay mind to it.
No, like he had earlier, he tried to ground himself in her.
Lone moved closer to him as he settled, and Charon’s arm snaked around her shoulders as her hands seamlessly wound about his bare waist. Her puffy cheek pressed into the firmness of his chest, and he felt the soft puffs of breath over his ruined skin lulling him into a blissful state of quietude.
A heavy sigh escaped her, and he felt any stiffness left in her body vacate, as she melted into his shared contact.
It was something he never knew he might come to enjoy. Never dared to want, not with the people he usually found himself close to. But this… Charon felt that he may just be able to get used to it.

Do you have any advice to someone who is new to the MCU Bucky and Steve writing? I've been in other fandoms but this one is so intimidating that I keep abandoning my fics because they don't ever seem good enough. Any advice would be amazing! Maybe you could share what types of fics you enjoy reading or wish you have read? Thank you!
Oh, I'm flattered you decided to ask me! First of all, writing and especially a writing process is something that is highly personal to each, so please don't treat anything I said as the gospel truth. Take what you feel like is useful to you and gleefully disregard the rest.
A summary: Write a lot, write with joy, read even more, comment and interact with others' stories, find writer friends.
I am not sure what about this fandom is specifically intimidating to you. If it's the 'oh everyone has already written what I want to write' then please don't be discouraged - just look at the size of the romance or crime section at any bookstore or library. There can never be too many stories on one trope or topic.
If it's the size of the fandom or the fact that there are some writers who have a large following, don't worry about that. Everyone has been super friendly (and block button is your friend if someone isn't) and comparison can truly take out the joy from writing like nothing else.
Speaking of: do not chase popularity. Do not set out to write with the intention of 'Oh people are going to love this fic' because writing can be intense and time-consuming, especially if you're writing multi-part stories, and if you choose what to write based on how people will react to it, it won't be fun. Especially since there's no such thing as feeling like now you have enough notes/reblogs/comments. It is absolutely and completely fine to want people to read your story and interact with it - that is me also. Fanfic is about sharing with the community. But setting out as popularity as your main goal is not a good idea for either your writing inspiration or your mental health.
In that vein, it can take time for people to notice and find new writers, and that's not about skill or quality of the fic, it's just about the fact that everyone is not always browsing the tags and they might not even see your fic in the beginning. Do timezone reblogs and comment reblogs and just keep writing.
(In order to not sound like hypocrite since I am very fortunate and lucky to feel like I am not just shouting into the void and people do interact with my stories: I have a 30-chapter, 150k+ Star Trek fic on AO3 that literally has one regular commenter. I never would've finished that if the writing and the story themselves didn't bring me such joy.)
Read as much as possible, both the fics in the fandom you want to write in (And comment! That's a great way to connect with the community and also make new writer friends that can be so helpful, as moral supports and beta readers and all that.) and books. It'll help your writing feel like it flows better and you also get familiar with the characterizations that the fandom generally agrees upon. You are absolutely free to deviate from those characterizations, of course, but knowing them makes you make more conscious decisions on that front.
As for the 'not good enough thing'. A literal Nobel Prize in Literature Winner (Maya Angelou) has described that she feels like an imposter. Inadequacy is a VERY common feeling among writers no matter the skill level. It doesn't mean your fics aren't good enough - it just means that you feel like that. I wish I had some magic snap of my fingers to give to you to get rid of it but hey, if you find one, just let me know. You'll always be more critical towards your own writing, not only because we humans tend to be more critical towards ourselves but also because you have seen all the phases of a finished piece of writing. You know where the bunny the magician pulls out is coming from. In others' work, you just see the bunny.
So above all, my advice to you would be to find out what you love writing about, and stick with that. Keep writing, keep finishing things, keep publishing fics. I started writing Steve x Reader fic because I wanted to read more stories that had Reader characters I could relate to and long plot-heavy fics with romance. I had no idea if anyone was even going to read anything I wrote but I still wrote. Find your thing because that sort of genuine passion towards the story will carry you the furthest.
I hope there was something you find useful or interesting or encouraging here. Feel free to send me another ask if you have any further questions or if I didn't answer your question well enough.
Also open invite to all my followers to add to this post!

DULCE PERICULUM. | CHAPTER VIII - COMFORT
abandon hope, all ye who enter here.
(John Wick x Reader, Santino d'Antonio x Reader)
full work
Over the course of trips around the sun, New York City had grown to be a lot of things to you - sometimes, everything all at once.
It was a place of new beginnings, and of closing the door to potential ones.
A place of fiery warmth, and of an icy cold seeping in through your veins, making your teeth clatter. A place of fluttering hearts, beating against each other. A place of recklessness, of endless crimson liquid flowing through glasses. A place for silent admiration, lost in the cacophony of the external.
Above all, it had been a home.
The neon lights blended in with the softer hued ones as the chauffeur made headway through the city - shining through the darkness, red bricks a pleasant backdrop to the people roaming the streets with their coats fastened up tight. An acquainted sense of solitude would dawn on you from the moment the entrance of the historic building appeared in your sights, the vehicle pulling up to let you off seamlessly.
Your security detail had occupied the entrance to the penthouse, no matter how much you insisted offering them a small break to freshen up and have some sustenance.
“No, signora, grazie - this is my duty.”
This was Camorra - the only way to unity, to success was through the most loyal of men. Without unquestioned, ever-growing loyalty - you were as good as another gang off the street, not that there was a shortage of them.
Santino must have talked to them good.
Accepting defeat, you would then ensure in the following moments the chef sent down some of the freshly prepared late dinner.
The private elevator doors opened to the foyer, the vast expanse of diagonal windows overlooking the bustling city from above visible through the arches leading up to the living area. It must have been the feature that sold the not-so-humble abode to the d’Antonio family, yet another addition to the network of safehouses around the globe.
A hotel room had not been a need for the longest time.
Unless you were with him.
The remodels had been specifically conducted to your taste, over the course of many revisions - Santino had spared no expense as you had browsed through catalogues of design elements, furniture and décor, catching onto which ones your eyes lingered just a little bit more on.
Collections of various items from the countless travels you had been on around the globe, placed meticulously on the floor to ceiling display cabinets lining up the hallway. A study encircled with shelves and shelves of books, custom-made sleek leather furniture to add a modern contrast.
The makings what would eventually become a home for you both.
A gentle hum of a low aria emanated through the wooden paneled walls, speakers embedded in every corner of the ceiling to never cease the ambient music as you walked across the apartment. Soft melodies always helped calm you down, relax your senses and unwind - as much as you could with the daunting task in front of you.
Failure had not been an option when a marker was involved, with the invisible threads of the High Table looming above you - ever seeing, ever knowing.
A much welcome distraction then appeared. Light taps of shoes against hardwood, then marble as he approached the foyer resounded throughout, a smile on your trusted helper Enzo’s face - always sharp in a smart black suit, short black hair perfectly coiffed. The staff must have been instructed to await your arrival in New York, as the pleasant smells of delicacies managed to escape the kitchen.
It was a relief to see familiar faces in your safe haven, always ready to help and feed you - yet it was an unknown just how much your stomach could handle.
“Buonaséra, signora. Benvenuta.”
“Grazie mille, Enzo.”
“Is Signor d’Antonio accompanying you this evening?”
A brief shake of your head was the answer he needed, yet you offered him as kind a smile that you could while taking off your coat and handing it over, your body grateful to step into warmth.
“Sono sola stavolta.”
That night, you were alone. Only the silent contemplations, tangled up pieces of information - and maybe some wine.
“Certo, signora,” your trusted Enzo would reply before retreating slowly to the kitchen - he had been your eyes and ears when in the New York penthouse, whenever you had the chance to find solace there. Always there to assist, with any need you might have had, he would remind you as he reached for the duffel bag your security had placed on the floor.
You were grateful, as always. Your limbs would have betrayed you had you attempted to do anything else but recover, your raging worries draining the energy out of the already weakened body from constant travel, changing timezones as fast as breeze.
“I will rest up in the lounge for the evening. Please, ensure everyone is fed.”
His dark eyes glinted slightly with concern for the wellbeing of Camorra’s lady in front of him - cheeks hollowed from the fatigue, eyes threatening to close. Enzo, with all the good intentions in him over the years of serving your chosen family, tilted his head as he spoke with a soft tone.
“Signora, con tutto il rispetto - food can only help you feel better.”
If only he knew.
As you slipped out of your tailored suit jacket, you did not have it in you to tell him no - instead responding with the conceding shake of your head, a tired smile stretching your lips.
“Bene.”
Sleep had finally found it’s way to you that particular night, merely in the form of passing out on the expansive leather lounge framing the living room - the moonlight seeping through the tall uncovered windows, the crackle of fire encased in glass. Leather boots haphazardly laying on the floor. A soft woven blanket draped over you, still in the suit that you had arrived into the continent with, sans the jacket, a few buttons unbuttoned on your blouse.
A state you would not have wanted anyone to find you in.
Crystal wine glass filled with only a couple more drops of red. The notebook left open on the last page you had been scribbling on, noting down any details on the targets as you could remember. Some names familiar, some less of an acquaintance. A draft of a graph with lines drawn between each target, tracing their potential links, with all the information you could recall. Countless question marks adorning the pages.
Whatever knowledge you had - it was not much. It would never be enough.
The incessant buzz of the cellphone placed face down on the marble coffee table had woken you up from your not-so restful slumber. With a sigh, your fingers reached to grab the device.
“Sì?” you would answer, trying to rub the sleep off of your eyes, slowly getting into a sitting position with your legs folded sideways under you.
“Amore mio, mi dispiace. I did not want to wake you - I can call in the morn-”
It was still a phenomenon of unknown origin - just how, even a moment of hearing his rich voice over the phone, instantly calmed your senses.
“No, Santino, va bene,” you would reply as softly as you could with your slightly muffled voice.
“Mi manchi.”
Oh, how he had missed you. Days seemed like individual eternities to him whenever you had been away, having to go through each incessantly as he thought of you.
There was no one else he could spill his heart to like this, no one who he could divulge all his worries in. Calling you had been a motor movement at that time, with emotions and thoughts colliding in his mind. Your felt presence, even through the static of the phone, was the light at the end of the tunnel.
“And I, more. Ascoltami, amore - I need to tell you something.”
Worry was etched into his whispered words - the underlying suffering, the love, the hurt, all blending in to form the clouds in his soul, blurring his green gaze.
In an instant, you could come up with a couple of things that might have followed the words - none of them good. Anticipation clawing into your mind, nails digging into your being.
“Sta peggiorando.”
You sensed your heart drop within you, it was almost as if you could feel his constrict as well.
“No.. Come?”
Last time you had visited il Padrino a mere couple months ago, the old man had clung onto your hand with a hearty smile, telling you tidbits of just how much of a troublemaker Gianna and Santino had been when they were little - stealing lemons and breaking precious plates. It felt like yesterday that you had seen the sparks of nostalgia in his eyes, as if longing to be with the memories once again, and not bound to the ring on his finger.
Santino sighed, his footsteps over stone echoing through the call, the faint voice of hissing leaves and a sole bird chirping - he must have stepped out into the vast gardens of the estate to talk privately. You knew he had his hand running down through his curly locks, pushing them back - a reflex developed purely out of stress.
“The doctors are saying it’s not looking good - that it had developed further.”
As his words resonated with fear of the unknown, your thoughts went to the other d’Antonio, wondering what she would do had she been there.
“Non so che fare.”
That made two of you.
How could he know what to do? It was his blood, his lifeline, slowly dissipating right in front of him, mother nature gently lulling in the due ones to their rightful slumber. With full knowledge of the facts of life, due to his quite risky occupation - Santino knew when the day came, it would never be easy.
It had not crossed his mind that it could have been this soon.
“Ce la farà, amore,” flowed out of your lips in habitual reassuring, voice echoing a reduced mess of conflicting thoughts. The moonlight hit the diamonds still attached to your wrist, gentle reflections swaying across the vast living room ceilings, a welcome distraction.
Would he really make it?
Winston’s words flashed into your mind instantly, echoing through the thoughts, the relevance of the advance quite uncanny.
“Go home to him.”
It was the sole correct action to take - to fly back home, back to the estate, to accompany your partner who had been there for you for worse moments, ever since you could remember. To be with him, providing him comfort - whether in the form of a warm embrace, a shoulder to lean on, or a comfortable silence. To whisper to him, in the faintest of voices that everything would be just alright.
Just like he had, too many times to count.
There would have been absolutely no hesitation on your part, if you had not been scheduled to meet Mr. Wick himself the following day for updates on his assignment.
Knowing just how much the raven haired assassin controlled the shape of your thoughts even years after, did nothing but scare you - and in some twisted way, you had been looking forward to seeing him again, in the corners of your subconscious that resurfaced every so often. Maybe, just maybe, a faint voice within told you - it would be another excuse to gaze into his dark eyes again, no matter how unreachable they had always been to you.
Hearing Santino’s scattered breathing on the other end, made you slowly come back to your senses, quietly scolding yourself for the brief moment of dissonance.
How could you even think of anything else, at a moment like this?
“I will be over there tomorrow. Non ti lascerò solo.”
A promise that he made it easy to keep - that you would not leave him alone. His relieved sigh vibrated off of the phone, his tone apologetic for keeping you away from your duties. As you excused yourself to catch on couple more hours of sleep, an anxious, empty feeling in your stomach accompanied you while you tried to lull yourself back to rest for the journey ahead.
John would just have to wait this time around.

Emily shops for a new dress
In the heart of a bustling shopping district, there lived a woman named Emily, a chic and stylish lady in her thirties. On a sunny Saturday afternoon, she decided to indulge in her favorite pastime: shopping for dresses. Dressed in a graceful gray dress that accentuated her elegance, tan pantyhose, and classic black pumps, she strolled into a trendy boutique.
Emily browsed through the racks of dresses, her discerning eye searching for the perfect addition to her wardrobe. After a few moments of careful consideration, she spotted a stunning dress that caught her attention. It was a vibrant shade of royal blue with intricate lace detailing.
With her chosen dress in hand, Emily made her way to the fitting room, her black pumps clicking softly against the boutique's polished floors. She entered the fitting room, her excitement palpable, and closed the door behind her.
Inside the fitting room, Emily hung her gray dress on a hook and began to carefully unzip it. She had just started to slip it off when she realized she needed to take off her black pumps first. With a gentle sigh, she placed her pumps neatly on the plush carpet before continuing to undress.
Emily slid the royal blue dress over her tan pantyhose, but to her dismay, it didn't fit as she had hoped. The fabric was too snug around her waist, and she knew it wouldn't do justice to her figure. With a touch of disappointment, she decided to abandon the ill-fitting dress.
She stepped out of the fitting room, her black pumps still sitting inside, and went back into the boutique to continue her search. Emily gracefully moved through the store, her stocking-covered feet making almost no sound on the smooth tile floor. She picked out more garments, holding them up to examine their colors and styles, and then returned to the fitting room.
Again and again, she went in and out of the fitting room, each time leaving her pumps behind. She remained determined to find the perfect dress, determined to have a new addition to her wardrobe that would make her feel as elegant as she deserved.
After several tries, Emily finally found a dress that fit like a dream. It was a soft blush pink, flowing gracefully around her figure. She couldn't help but smile as she admired herself in the mirror, her tan pantyhose and stocking-covered feet elegantly peeking out from beneath the dress.
With her decision made, Emily carefully removed the pink dress and stepped back into her black pumps, savoring the comfortable feeling of her shoes sliding back onto her feet. She knew she had found the perfect addition to her collection, a dress that would make her feel confident and beautiful on any occasion.
As Emily left the boutique with her new dress in hand, she couldn't help but reflect on the journey she had taken inside those fitting room walls. It was a reminder that sometimes, finding the perfect fit required a bit of patience and persistence, but the end result was always worth it. She walked away, her stylish outfit and newfound confidence shining as brightly as the sun outside.

What is Custom Shopify Theme Development?
The customization process for Shopify theme development is the process of creating and programming a custom-made design for the Shopify store. 2. Optimized for Conversions
Standard themes are built for everyone. Custom themes are built for your customers, optimized to guide them smoothly from product discovery to checkout.

Smart, user-friendly filtering systems that help customers find what they need in seconds.
4. Optimized Cart & Checkout Flow
A streamlined path from browsing to purchase, minimizing abandoned carts.
5. Advanced Navigation Menus
Mega menus, sticky headers, or mobile accordion menus—built your way to ensure ease of use.
The Custom Theme Development Process (Step-by-Step)
Step 1: Discovery & Strategy
Understand your brand, target audience, and store goals. This phase includes competitor analysis and planning site architecture.
Step 2: Wireframes & Design Mockups
UX/UI designers create mockups of key pages using tools like Figma or Adobe XD.
Step 3: Theme Coding & Development
Developers write clean, responsive Liquid code (Shopify’s templating language), combined with HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and JSON.
Step 4: App & Feature Integration
Add custom functionalities such as wishlists, subscription options, multilingual support, or personalized recommendations.
Step 5: Testing & QA
Extensive testing across devices and browsers for bugs, loading speed, and user experience.
Step 6: Launch & Optimization
Once approved, the theme is published. Post-launch optimization includes SEO tuning, analytics setup, and A/B testing.
Tools & Technologies Used
Shopify Liquid—Shopify’s templating language
HTML5/CSS3—for structure and styling
JavaScript/jQuery—for dynamic elements
JSON—for theme settings
Git—for version control
Figma/Sketch/Adobe—For UI/UX design
Shopify CLI—For local theme development and deployment
Custom vs. Pre-Built Theme: What's Better?
Feature Pre-Built Theme Custom Theme: Low upfront cost Higher, one-time investment Branding Limited customization 100% brand-aligned Performance May include excess code Clean, lightweight code Scalability Less flexible Easily scalable and extendable Support & Maintenance Generic support Tailored to your setup
If your business is growing and you want to leave a lasting impression, custom is the way to go.
Who Should Invest in Custom Shopify Theme Development?
Established brands needing a strong digital presence.
Niche businesses with complex product requirements.
Startups aiming to disrupt with a bold brand identity.
Agencies and designers building Shopify solutions for clients.
SEO & Performance Optimization in Custom Themes

Structured schema markup
Custom meta tags & SEO-friendly URLs
Optimized image formats
Mobile-first responsive layouts
Lightweight code for better Core Web Vitals
Final Thoughts: Is Custom Shopify Theme Development Worth It?
If you're committed to your e-commerce, buying the custom Shopify theme is among the best decisions you could make. It provides you with a distinct advantage in a competitive marketplace, builds brand equity over time, and gives users an experience that converts.
Rather than trying to fit into a cookie-cutter template, custom theme development lets your brand shine in its own unique light exactly the way it should.

From Clicks to Conversions: Performance Marketing Strategies That Actually Work
In today's hyper-competitive digital landscape, every click counts, but not every click converts. The gap between generating traffic and turning that traffic into paying customers has never been more critical to bridge. This is where performance marketing strategies become your secret weapon, transforming your digital efforts from expense centers into profit engines.
At Sage Titans, we've witnessed countless businesses struggle with this very challenge. They pour resources into digital campaigns, see impressive traffic numbers, yet watch their conversion rates flatline. The solution isn't more traffic—it's smarter strategy execution that focuses on measurable results and sustainable growth.
Understanding How Performance Marketing Strategies Work
Let's first define how performance marketing strategies really function before delving into approaches. Performance marketing works on a pay-for-outcomes premise, unlike more conventional marketing techniques dependent on broad-reach awareness campaigns. Every dollar spent directly relates to particular, quantifiable results, whether those results are a sale, a lead, or a subscription.
The beauty of this approach lies in its accountability. When you understand the exact relationship between your investment and your returns, you can make data-driven decisions that compound your success over time. This methodology forms the foundation of all successful digital campaigns we've implemented at Sage Titans.
The Psychology Behind Conversion Success
Good performance marketing plans appeal to basic human nature. People purchase solutions to problems, emotions of security, or dreams of a better future rather than only goods. Your advertisements have to remove friction from the buying process while addressing these more fundamental impulses.
Mastering Conversion Rate Optimization
Conversion rate optimization serves as the backbone of effective performance marketing. It's not enough to drive traffic—you must systematically improve how that traffic behaves once it reaches your digital properties.
Scientific methodologies guide the most successful conversion rate optimisation marketing strategies. Establish baseline measurements first; next, generate hypotheses about what can boost performance, methodically test those hypotheses, and apply winners while writing off losers. Compound improvements produced by this iterative procedure significantly affect your bottom line.
Essential Conversion Rate Optimization Tools
Leveraging the right conversion rate optimization tools can accelerate your results significantly. Heat mapping software reveals exactly where users focus their attention and where they encounter friction. A/B testing platforms allow you to validate hypotheses with statistical confidence. Analytics tools provide the data foundation necessary for informed decision-making.
However, tools alone don't create success—strategy does. The most powerful tool in your arsenal remains your ability to think critically about user experience and systematically improve it.
Digital Advertising Techniques That Drive Results
Modern digital advertising techniques extend far beyond simple banner ads or search campaigns. Today's most effective approaches create integrated experiences that guide prospects through carefully crafted customer journeys.
Retargeting campaigns, for instance, re-engage users who've shown interest but haven't converted yet. Dynamic product ads showcase relevant products based on browsing behaviour. Lookalike audiences help you find new prospects who share characteristics with your best customers. Each technique serves a specific purpose in your overall conversion strategy.
E-commerce Conversion Rate Optimization Specifics
E-commerce conversion rate optimization requires particular attention to checkout flows, product page design, and trust signals. Shopping cart abandonment represents one of the biggest opportunities for improvement, with strategic email sequences and exit-intent offers recovering significant revenue.
Product pages must balance comprehensive information with clean, conversion-focused design. Trust badges, customer reviews, and clear return policies address common purchasing objections before they derail conversions.
Building Your Digital Marketing Strategy Framework
One example of a complete digital marketing plan consists of several touchpoints cooperating. All coordinated towards certain conversion goals, your approach should include search engine optimisation, paid advertising, email marketing, social media, and content marketing.
The key digital marketing strategy steps begin with understanding your ideal customer deeply. What problems do they face? Where do they spend time online? What objections prevent them from purchasing? Your strategy must address each of these elements systematically.
Leveraging Google's Ecosystem
Your digital marketing strategy google approach should maximise the search giant's extensive advertising options. Google Ads, Shopping campaigns, YouTube advertising, and Google Analytics work together to create comprehensive visibility into your customer acquisition process.
B2B Performance Marketing Considerations
Digital marketing strategy b2b environments require longer sales cycles and multiple decision-makers. Your performance marketing approach must nurture relationships over time while providing value at each interaction.
B2B conversion optimization depends much on content marketing, LinkedIn advertising, and account-based marketing strategies. The secret is realising that B2B purchasers must defend their choices to others, hence different message and evidence points than consumer-oriented ads are necessary.
Measuring and Scaling Success
The most sophisticated performance marketing strategies include robust measurement frameworks that track not just immediate conversions but also customer lifetime value, retention rates, and long-term profitability. This comprehensive view enables sustainable scaling decisions.
Regular performance audits guarantee that your tactics stay successful as the state of the market changes and point up areas for development. Long-term success depends on flexibility since what works now could not work tomorrow.
Conclusion: Your Path to Conversion Excellence
Transforming clicks into conversions requires more than hoping for the best—it demands systematic implementation of proven performance marketing strategies tailored to your specific business context. At Sagetitans.com, we've seen the transformative power of this approach across diverse industries and business models.
The strategies outlined here provide your roadmap, but execution makes the difference between mediocre and exceptional results. Start with conversion rate optimization fundamentals, layer in sophisticated digital advertising techniques, and measure everything relentlessly.
Your competition is already investing in performance marketing. The question isn't whether you can afford to implement these strategies—it's whether you can afford not to. Begin today, test systematically, and watch your conversion rates climb as your marketing ROI soars.

How a Digital Marketing Agency Rescued a Failing E-Commerce Brand
In the fast-paced world of e-commerce, even promising brands can struggle to stay afloat. Poor traffic, low conversions, rising ad costs, and disconnected marketing strategies can all snowball into declining sales. One of our clients—an emerging fashion e-commerce brand—was facing exactly that. In just six months, sales had dropped by 40%, return customers had nearly vanished, and paid campaigns were bleeding cash.
That’s when they reached out to our Digital Marketing Agency. What followed was a complete strategic turnaround that not only saved the brand but set it up for scalable, long-term growth. This is the behind-the-scenes story of how we helped rescue and relaunch an e-commerce business that was on the brink.
The Problem: Poor Conversions, High Costs, No Strategy
When the brand approached us, they were relying heavily on Instagram ads with no clear audience targeting or funnel. Their Google Ads were broad, their website had a 70% bounce rate, and there was no CRM or retargeting in place.
Symptoms we identified:
1.2% conversion rate (industry benchmark was 2.8%+)
CPA (cost per acquisition) over ₹900, with AOV (average order value) at just ₹750
No email marketing or abandoned cart recovery
Zero content marketing or SEO
Product pages lacked trust signals and social proof
In short, they had traffic—but not buyers. And they were paying a high price for it.
Step 1: Brand & Funnel Repositioning
We began with a full-funnel audit and customer journey mapping.
Key changes:
Updated the brand messaging to reflect customer values (eco-friendly, local manufacturing)
Introduced new landing pages tailored to product categories and seasonal collections
Created a three-tier funnel (awareness, consideration, conversion) to guide paid campaigns and content
This repositioning gave the brand a clearer identity and a stronger voice in a crowded market.
Step 2: Smarter Paid Ads With Better Targeting
We restructured their ad strategy across Meta and Google:
Built custom audiences from website data, email lists, and engagement
Launched interest-based lookalike campaigns
Created A/B-tested visuals showcasing real people using the product
Used Google Shopping Ads to drive high-intent bottom-of-funnel traffic
This immediately reduced their CPA by 48% and doubled their ROAS (return on ad spend) within the first 30 days.
Step 3: Conversion-Focused Website Optimization
We partnered with their development team to optimize key site elements:
Added customer reviews and ratings on all product pages
Installed trust badges (secure checkout, easy returns)
Simplified the navigation for faster browsing on mobile
Integrated a sticky CTA and exit-intent offers
The result? Bounce rate dropped from 70% to 43%, and the average session duration increased by 65%.
Step 4: Email Marketing Automation
We implemented Klaviyo and built a complete email lifecycle strategy:
Welcome series for new signups
Abandoned cart recovery (3-email sequence)
Product recommendation flows based on browsing behavior
Re-engagement and win-back campaigns
Within two months, email contributed to 21% of total monthly revenue.
Step 5: Building Organic Traffic and Content
We launched an SEO-backed blog that targeted lifestyle, fashion, and shopping-related queries. In parallel, we ran influencer partnerships and UGC campaigns to build social proof and backlinks.
Content strategy included:
Weekly blog posts with long-tail keywords
Gift guides, style tips, and behind-the-scenes brand stories
Instagram collaborations with micro-influencers
Shoppable content via reels and carousel posts
Organic traffic grew by 120% over three months, bringing consistent, free users into the funnel.

Final Thoughts: Strategy, Not Luck, Turned It Around
What saved this brand wasn’t a bigger ad budget or a viral moment—it was a holistic, data-driven strategy executed with precision. A great Digital Marketing Agency doesn’t just run ads—they fix the foundation, optimize the funnel, and build sustainable systems that drive growth.
If your e-commerce brand is struggling with declining sales or low ROI, working with a Digital Marketing Agency that understands full-funnel performance can help you turn the tide—just like we did here.

CRO for E-commerce: Tracking Add to Cart, Checkout Drop-offs & More

This blog will guide you through how to effectively track and optimize conversion touchpoints, reduce checkout drop-offs, and build a data-backed path to higher revenue. If you’re running paid traffic campaigns and not seeing sales conversions, this is your wake-up call.
Why CRO is Crucial for PPC Campaigns
When businesses invest in PPC services, they often focus on the number of clicks or impressions. But what happens after the user lands on your e-commerce site? Without tracking behaviors like product views, add-to-cart events, and checkout completion, you’re flying blind.
As a trusted PPC services company in Pune, our job is to not just drive traffic but ensure that traffic converts. That’s where CRO comes into play.
Key E-commerce Metrics to Track for CRO
Here are the critical touchpoints every e-commerce business should monitor to optimize performance:
1. Product Page Views
Track how many users are visiting product pages. High bounce rates here may indicate poor product imagery, lack of information, or mismatched search intent.
Optimize with:
High-quality product images
Clear pricing and CTAs
Reviews and trust badges
2. Add to Cart (ATC)
This is a major intent signal. If users are adding items to the cart but not converting, you have a friction point downstream.
Track via:
Google Analytics 4 (GA4) Ecommerce Events
Facebook Pixel or Google Ads conversion tracking
Optimize with:
Faster load times
Visible CTA buttons
Low shipping thresholds (e.g., free shipping at ₹499)
3. Initiate Checkout
If people click “Checkout” but drop off before paying, your checkout flow may be too complex or lacking trust signals.
Optimize with:
One-page checkout
Guest checkout options
Security seals and money-back guarantees
4. Checkout Drop-offs
One of the biggest revenue leaks in e-commerce is cart abandonment. As a leading provider of PPC services in Pune, we often use heatmaps, session recordings, and funnel analysis to identify abandonment points.
Common reasons include:
Unexpected shipping costs
Too many form fields
Slow page loads
Limited payment methods
Fix with:
Transparent pricing
Autofill forms
Multiple payment gateways
Exit intent pop-ups offering discounts
Tools for Effective CRO Tracking
As a professional provider of PPC services, we use a combination of the following tools to track and improve e-commerce performance:
✅ Google Analytics 4
Track events like:
View Item
Add to Cart
Begin Checkout
Purchase
Set up custom funnels to visualize where users are dropping off.
✅ Google Tag Manager (GTM)
Implement custom event tracking without altering site code. GTM makes it easy to fire tags based on button clicks, form submissions, and scroll behavior.
✅ Hotjar or Microsoft Clarity
Use session recordings, heatmaps, and user journeys to identify UX bottlenecks.
✅ Meta (Facebook) Pixel & Google Ads Conversion Tracking
For businesses running ads, these tools allow accurate tracking of ROAS (Return on Ad Spend), especially important for remarketing.
Advanced CRO Tactics for E-commerce PPC Campaigns
As a PPC services company in Pune with real-world experience, we recommend these advanced tactics to improve conversions:
🔁 Dynamic Remarketing
Show users the exact product they abandoned using display or social ads.
🧪 A/B Testing
Test versions of your landing pages, CTAs, pricing layouts, and checkout flow to find what works best.
📦 Cart Recovery Campaigns
Use automated emails, push notifications, or WhatsApp messages to recover abandoned carts within 24 hours.
🧠 Personalization

How Businesses Are Using Custom Software to Enhance Their Online Stores

In today’s digital-first economy, having an online store isn’t just a convenience—it’s a necessity. But with increasing competition and ever-evolving customer expectations, it’s no longer enough to just have an e-commerce presence. Businesses are now investing in custom software solutions to differentiate themselves, enhance user experience, streamline operations, and ultimately boost revenue.
For companies in a tech-forward city like New York, collaborating with a trusted custom software development company in New York can provide the edge needed to stand out in crowded online markets. In this blog, we’ll explore how custom software is transforming online stores and why working with a software development company in New York is crucial for long-term success.
The Rise of Custom Software in E-Commerce
E-commerce platforms like Shopify, WooCommerce, and BigCommerce offer great starting points, but many businesses soon find their limitations. Pre-built platforms often lack the flexibility to meet unique business requirements, integrate seamlessly with internal systems, or provide the personalized experiences today’s customers demand.
That’s where custom software development comes in. By working with custom software development companies in New York, businesses are building tailor-made solutions that align perfectly with their brand, goals, and customer expectations.
Key Ways Businesses Are Using Custom Software to Enhance Their Online Stores
1. Personalized Shopping Experiences
Personalization is no longer optional—it’s expected. Custom software allows businesses to build dynamic websites that tailor product recommendations, promotions, and content based on user behavior, preferences, and purchase history.
Example:
An online apparel retailer uses a custom-built AI recommendation engine to suggest clothing based on a customer’s browsing habits and past purchases. This feature increases average order value and encourages repeat visits.
A top software development company in New York can design intelligent algorithms and integrate them directly into your store for real-time personalization.
2. Seamless System Integration
Many businesses struggle with siloed systems—inventory management, CRM, accounting, shipping, and more. Custom software allows these systems to communicate effectively, creating a seamless flow of data across departments.
Benefits of integration:
Real-time inventory updates
Faster order processing
Improved customer service through access to unified data
Fewer manual errors
A software development company in New York can build middleware or integrate APIs to sync your e-commerce platform with your internal software stack.
3. Advanced Analytics and Reporting
Out-of-the-box reporting tools often lack the depth and specificity needed for actionable insights. Custom dashboards allow businesses to track key performance indicators (KPIs), customer behavior, marketing effectiveness, and operational efficiency in real time.
Custom reports may include:
Cart abandonment analytics
Heatmaps of user interactions
Customer lifetime value (CLTV)
Supply chain performance
Working with the best software development company in New York means access to developers who can create analytics tools tailored to your business goals.
4. Automated Workflows
Efficiency is key in e-commerce. From processing orders to managing returns and sending customer follow-ups, automation can significantly reduce workload and increase accuracy.
Use cases for automation:
Sending personalized thank-you emails after purchase
Restocking inventory automatically when thresholds are reached
Flagging fraudulent transactions in real-time
Streamlining warehouse logistics
Custom software enables end-to-end automation designed specifically for your operations, which a custom software development company in New York can deliver.
5. Optimized Mobile Shopping
More than 60% of e-commerce traffic comes from mobile devices. Off-the-shelf platforms often don’t provide the optimized performance or UI flexibility that mobile users demand.
With custom mobile development, you can:
Create a native app or PWA for a smoother mobile experience
Offer one-tap checkout and personalized notifications
Integrate location-based promotions or services
Custom software development companies in New York are increasingly focusing on mobile-first design and development to help businesses capture and convert mobile traffic effectively.
6. Custom Loyalty and Referral Programs
Generic rewards programs may not fit every brand. Custom-built loyalty solutions allow businesses to design reward tiers, offer exclusive deals, and create experiences that reflect their brand’s personality.
Example:
A gourmet food store builds a loyalty system where points can be redeemed not just for products, but for exclusive online cooking classes—building community and boosting retention.
A top software development company in New York can ensure these programs integrate with the store's database, CRM, and payment system for a smooth customer journey.
7. Enhanced Security and Compliance
With growing concerns about data privacy, businesses must protect sensitive customer information. While hosted e-commerce platforms offer basic protections, many businesses require more robust and industry-specific security features.
Custom security features include:
Multi-factor authentication (MFA)
End-to-end encryption
GDPR and CCPA compliance tools
Real-time threat detection systems
A reputable custom software development company in New York can develop and implement these features, ensuring that your store meets the highest security standards.
8. Unique User Interfaces and Design Elements
Standing out visually is crucial in e-commerce. Custom software allows for complete creative control over your online store’s look and feel, enabling unique design elements that align with your brand identity.
Advantages:
No design limitations imposed by templates
Optimized UX for higher conversion
Custom animations and transitions
Unique product displays (e.g., 3D views or AR previews)
The best software development company in New York will pair strong development skills with UI/UX expertise to deliver visually stunning and high-performing online stores.

Mastering Email Marketing for Your eCommerce Success | Email Marketing for eCommerce: Tools, Tips & Examples
In the dynamic world of eCommerce, while social media buzzes and ads flash, there’s one channel that consistently delivers results and fosters genuine customer relationships: email marketing. It’s not just about sending a random newsletter; it’s about strategic communication that nurtures leads, drives sales, and builds lasting loyalty.
For any online business, from a budding startup to an established brand, mastering email marketing isn’t just an option — it’s a non-negotiable. Let’s delve into the tools, tips, and practical examples to make your email campaigns truly shine.
✅ Step 1: Build Your List — The Foundation of Your Email Empire
Before you can send a single email, you need a list of interested subscribers. This is your most valuable asset in email marketing. Don’t buy lists — they rarely work and can harm your sender reputation. Focus on organic list building through:
Website Pop-ups/Exit Intent: Offer a discount (e.g., “Get 10% off your first order!”) or exclusive content in exchange for an email address.
Opt-in Forms: Place clear sign-up forms on your website, blog, and even your social media profiles.
Checkout Process: Offer a checkbox during checkout for customers to subscribe to your newsletter.
Contests/Giveaways: Run engaging contests where email signup is a prerequisite for entry.
Impact: A healthy, organically grown email list ensures you’re communicating with people who are already interested in your brand, leading to higher open rates and conversions.
✅ Step 2: Choose the Right Tools — Your Email Marketing Powerhouse
Selecting the right email marketing platform is crucial. It simplifies automation, segmentation, and analytics. Here are some popular choices:
Mailchimp: Great for beginners, offers a free plan for smaller lists, and has user-friendly drag-and-drop builders.
Klaviyo: A powerful choice specifically built for eCommerce, offering advanced segmentation, automation flows, and deep integration with platforms like Shopify.
SendGrid/MailerLite: Good options for those needing more technical control or focusing on transactional emails.
Example: A small artisanal craft store starting out might find Mailchimp perfect for managing their initial list and sending basic newsletters. As they grow and need more sophisticated automation like abandoned cart reminders, they might upgrade to Klaviyo.
Impact: The right tool streamlines your operations, allowing you to execute complex strategies efficiently and focus on content, not technicalities.
✅ Step 3: Segment Your Audience — Send the Right Message to the Right Person
Sending generic emails to everyone is a recipe for low engagement. Segment your list based on various criteria to send targeted, relevant messages. Common segments include:
New Subscribers: Welcome sequence.
Past Purchasers: Based on product type, purchase frequency, or value.
Abandoned Carts: Customers who added items but didn’t complete checkout.
Browse Abandonment: Customers who viewed products but didn’t add to cart.
Engaged vs. Unengaged: To tailor re-engagement campaigns.
Example: An online beauty store can send emails about anti-aging products to customers who’ve previously bought skincare, and a discount on haircare to those who’ve only browsed shampoo.
Impact: Personalization significantly boosts open rates, click-through rates, and conversion rates, making your emails feel less like spam and more like helpful communication.
✅ Step 4: Craft Compelling Content — What to Send and When
Your email content is your direct line to the customer. Focus on value, clarity, and a clear call to action (CTA). Here are essential email types for eCommerce:
Welcome Series: Introduce your brand, offer a discount, and guide new subscribers. (3–5 emails over a week).
Abandoned Cart Recovery: Remind customers about items left in their cart, perhaps with an incentive. (Typically 1–3 emails).
Product Launches/Promotions: Announce new arrivals, sales, and special offers.
Post-Purchase Follow-up: Order confirmation, shipping updates, thank you notes, and product review requests.
Re-engagement Campaigns: Win back inactive subscribers with special offers or new content.
Educational/Value-Driven: Share tips, guides, or behind-the-scenes content related to your niche.
Example: A niche apparel brand could send a welcome series showcasing their sustainable practices, followed by emails highlighting new collections, and then a personalized email offering a discount on an item a customer viewed multiple times but didn’t buy.
Impact: Strategic email content keeps your brand top-of-mind, drives immediate sales, and fosters long-term customer relationships.
✅ Step 5: Automate Your Flows — Work Smart, Not Hard
Automation is the superpower of eCommerce email marketing. Set up automated sequences that trigger based on customer actions or timelines. This ensures timely and relevant communication without manual effort.
Example: When a customer abandons their cart, an automated email goes out after an hour, then another after 24 hours if they haven’t completed the purchase. Or, a birthday email with a special discount automatically sends on their birthday.
Impact: Automation saves immense time, ensures consistent customer communication, and significantly boosts conversion rates, acting as a tireless sales assistant.
✅ Step 6: Analyze and Optimize — Continuous Improvement is Key
Email marketing is an iterative process. Constantly monitor your metrics: open rates, click-through rates (CTR), conversion rates, and unsubscribe rates. A/B test different subject lines, CTA buttons, email layouts, and send times to see what resonates best with your audience.
Impact: Data-driven optimization allows you to continuously refine your email strategy, maximizing its effectiveness and ensuring a strong return on your investment.
❇️ Conclusion:
Email marketing is far from dead; it’s a thriving, highly effective channel for eCommerce businesses. By building a quality list, choosing the right tools, segmenting your audience, crafting compelling content, leveraging automation, and continuously analyzing your performance, you can create powerful email campaigns that drive sales, build lasting customer relationships, and ensure your online store thrives. Don’t just send emails — send strategically, and watch your business flourish!

Using Data Analytics to Improve Customer Retention in D2C Ecommerce
Getting a customer to buy once is hard enough. Getting them to come back and buy again? That’s where real ecommerce success lies. In the Direct-to-Consumer (D2C) space, customer retention is more cost-effective and scalable than chasing constant new acquisitions and ecommerce data analytics is the key to making it work.
Gone are the days of guessing why a customer left or hoping they'll come back on their own. With the right data strategy in place, you can build a clear, actionable picture of buyer behavior, preferences, and friction points.
Let’s break down how data can help you keep your customers happy, engaged, and loyal.
Why Customer Retention Matters in D2C
It costs 5–7 times more to acquire a new customer than to retain an existing one. But that’s just the start.
Repeat customers:
Spend more over time
Are easier to upsell or cross-sell
Become brand advocates
Retention isn’t just a post-purchase phase, it's a growth engine. And for D2C ecommerce brands trying to build community and loyalty in a crowded marketplace, it’s everything.
What Ecommerce Data Can Tell You
The beauty of selling online is that every click, view, and scroll generates a data point. With smart analytics, you can use that data to answer critical questions like:
Which products drive the most repeat purchases?
What’s the average time between first and second orders?
Which marketing channels are producing high-LTV customers?
Where in the funnel are customers dropping off?
Ecommerce data analytics helps uncover patterns that can be used to build targeted retention campaigns.
Top Data-Driven Strategies to Boost Retention
1. Segment Your Customers by Behavior
Group users based on their browsing, purchase history, and engagement. Are they loyalists, one-timers, or window shoppers? Tailor your messaging to each group.
For example: Send loyalty rewards to high-value customers, win-back campaigns to inactive users, and upsell offers to recent buyers.
2. Predict Churn Before It Happens
With predictive modeling, you can identify when a customer is likely to stop engaging and intervene. Look for signs like reduced email opens, longer gaps between purchases, or cart abandonment.
Set up automated flows to re-engage these users before they disappear.
3. Personalize Communication
Use data to personalize everything from product recommendations to email subject lines. Tools like RFM (Recency, Frequency, Monetary) analysis can help tailor offers based on spending behavior.
The more relevant the message, the more likely the customer sticks around.
4. Optimize Post-Purchase Journeys
Retention starts right after the first order. Analyze your post-purchase data to understand what works: Should you follow up with a review request? A how-to guide? A reorder reminder?
A smooth, engaging post-purchase experience increases satisfaction and reduces return rates.
5. Measure What Matters
Track key retention metrics like:
Repeat purchase rate
Average order value (AOV)
Customer lifetime value (CLV)
Churn rate
Over time, these metrics show whether your retention strategies are paying off or need tweaking.
