When it came to the scene of your character breaking down, he is nothing but in awe of your performance. Gosh he never knew one can even express such emotions, the animations did not do your vocal talent justice.

If he were still a game developer, he would hire you as one of the voice actors for his first-person puzzle games. And he thinks that's the highest compliment because he's a genius, duh.

But not to take attention away from you, he really does admire how you perform with your voice and how it translate well into media and hell, he didn't need the animated facial features as your voice was precise at what it wants to portray.

And when it came to voicing a character's breakdown, he was at an utter awe, if a bit unsettled as well. So how did you pull such performance?

You simply snap your fingers at him and gave him a playful finger gun. "That's acting, babyyyy."

Oh would you look at that, it's his darling Y/N! Well, not physically present on screen, but vocally. See, that's the voice that's constantly spoke to him with nothing but love and affection which he always loved and wants to be smothered with, and to hear you take on a ruthless role of a villain is odd to him, but he applauds on how good you are at what you are doing.

Upon hearing you breakdown, he feels a touch unnerved because he can clearly hear you taking on inspiration from some of his breakdowns and he recognises some inspiration from his co-worker's as well. All that aside, he is proud of you.

You don't even have to try, breathe in his general direction and he's already putty in your hands. But in all seriousness, he can't fucking take it, he feels as though he's getting electric shocks in his head and heart when he sees you.

Do you have any idea how fucking hard it is to be imposing when he sees you? He freezes in the spot then suddenly forgets about the villain thing he has to do, that his fellow rogues had to flick him by the forehead or something. Sure the other rogue's were annoyed by it, but they can't help but to tease the bespectacled man about his little cwush on the sweetheart that is also a villain.

He initially planned to confess anonymously, as in writing you a letter but then there's a heat of a moment kind of thing that happened that lead him to telling you how he feels. And to observe the miniscule detail of your expressions made him either backpedal or press forward, or both. It's complicated. So when you kissed his cheek, you'd think that he'd be relieved from the tangled wires in his nerves but nope. Now it's extra tangled and beaming with shocks, and now you're left with a red-faced, wide-dazed Eddie.

He is composed for most of the time, but have you seen this man get flirted on in that one episode? Yeah, this man may have the ability to shut up if you just flirt with him. I just headcanon that this man can flirt, but if you flirt first/flirt back? Boom, shut down. Dead. Would giggle adorkably and recoil back from shyness.

He doesn't really succumb into embarrassment when the other rogue's tease him, he just plays it cool, perhaps roll with some punches. Hey, at least someone actually likes him.

He feels a bit empowered when your with him, he couldn't care less if it dampens his appearance as a villain. Let's see if they maintain that impression of him being weak whilst in love if he commences with his plans for Gotham.

By the time it was time to confess, he was a mess, maybe at the verge of tears because his internal conflict with himself tells him that this might be a bad idea and that he might ruin your friendship... But then you made the feeling was mutual by kissing his cheek, he couldn't help but to burst into tears because he really thought that you'd hate him.

Oh this dude. This dude is hard to fluster, let me tell you that. But push the right buttons and then he'll be putty in your hands... But the sweetness and friendliness is something he welcomes wholeheartedly, it makes him feel as though he doesn't need to put up a tough front of fear that you'd betray him (because let's face it, the Legion of Doom has its fair share of backstabbings) so yeah, you have carved yourself a soft spot in his heart.

As for the teasing he receives from the rogue, he simply tells them to fuck off. As much as possible, he wants to keep you away from the Legion of Doom business because ya know, the backstabbers, the way that they can shake him to the core through hurting you. And he'll be damned if they did that.

Similar to BTAS Riddler, he doesn't care about how people view him when you're with him. If ever, he feels empowered with your love and they should be afraid because a villain will turn the world upside down for their significant other.

Confessions are straightforward, he just wants to get it over it. If you don't feel the same? Then shit, he'll mourn about it later after he makes it clear that you should forget this interaction ever happened. But then you kissed him, and he finally unleashes the extent of love he has been keeping from you.

One day he accidentally triggers them with like fire trap and for first time, with them using traps as more of their game than anything else, they're afraid and having a panic attack unable to move. Riddler needs to save the day.

You weren't his intended target to get captured, but it wouldn't matter either way, though he feels a little guilty and noted to himself that he'd apologize later. He genuinely thought that this was something you'll be able to handle, being a hero and all. That was until he saw the fear in your eyes, the way you just freeze in your restraints.

He was in too fucking deep in his thoughts, mentally chanting 'FUCK FUCK FUCK FUCK!', as he tries to find a way to covertly save you via making your rescue easier for your fellow heroes, assuming that this relationship is a secret due to the nature of your careers being opposed. And this will not be the time you'll be found out by your respective fields and be frowned upon by your leaders.

Once the fiasco is over, you'll be home, out of your uniforms and he'd be apologizing profusely. Holding you close, his apologies muffled with his fsce buried against your chest, stating he won't do that again, etc etc.

So... He put this little trap together for whoever tries to intervene with his plan. And that happened to be you, his spouse, responding to the police reports about Edward's recent crimes. This particular trap was specifically tailored to cause... Long-term damages.

Let's just say, he dropped whatever his plan was to save you from the contraption he created. Cherry on top? Your inability to wiggle yourself out of the scary machine had made you undergo an anxiety attack.

After diffusing the situation, he will be trying to ease you from the emotional, paralysed mess he's put you into and honestly, he will be thinking about this for so long and will remain guilty every time he thinks about it, regardless if you already forgave him.

The trap was to whoever tries to stop him, typical villain stuff, ya know? Listen, he can't be bothered to be distracted by heroes while he just wants to peaceful heist, so why not build a trap that'll distract the dumb hero? Better yet, just off 'em while they're struggling to get out of the trap. But there's only one person he will not subject to this treatment.

Cursing himself at the entirety of the duration that you got yourself caught in a trap he thought you can handle. He doesn't care about his Legion of Doom bullshit and you are the only thing that matters to him. You can find him rushing over control panels to disengage the trap and due to his frantic button pressing, the device was lagging behind which caused him to almost hit his cane on the panel to break it out of rage.

Once the trap shuts down, you bet your bottom that he is rushing to inspect the damages inflicted upon you. Many apologies ranging from vocal to physical and gifts for the following days.

Okay but he low-key shuts up when he sees you in battle. Slack-jawed, in pure awe at your capabilities. Might've awaken something in him.

He feels extra empowered when you're there, but god if you think that you're nothing but a side-piece for him, he will stop at nothing to reassure you that you're not.

As for the comments you get, he'd get weirded out. People can be into what they want but geez, no need to yell it out in the open.

He doesn't really get the impression of you being a fighter due to you stature, but villainy had given him the lesson that anything is possible. Anything.

He'd be impressed more than anything, that you're this powerful fighter well now at least he doesn't have to worry about you being a target as his significant other. Don't get him wrong, he is impressed by your amazing feats, but he is just nonchalant about it.

Though, he gives out every chance to let show you off to his fellow villains. Not in a trophy spouse kind of way, but like "Look at my s/o! They're so amazing! THIS? YES NOW YOU'VE SEEN PERFECTION INCARNATE!"

As for the comments, he can't blame them. But if you are repulsed by them, he is throwing hands with no hesitation.

It was... A heat of a moment.

He forgot that your relationship was over since five years ago, he still fucking loves you, and there's a certain excitement the current predicament that had him wanting to pull you in for a celebratory smooch.

"Whoa, whoa," you nervously chuckled, palm held up to stop him from leaning his head forward. "We are not repeating mistakes from ancient history, understood?"

... he's hurt, but he can't exactly fault you for thinking that way.

"Oh... Haha, yeah... I was... Um..." He awkwardly clears his throat, placing his hand at the back of his neck to avoid fidgeting in front of you.

But when he meets your gaze again, you were holding your hand up for him. Instinctively, he gives you a high five and finds himself smiling, eased from the awkward mess he has dug himself into. At least this was somewhat has the semblance of what your relationship had back then.

"Let's just stick to high fives, okay?"

After finding himself pathless upon his release from Arkham, he didn't know where else to go. He didn't want to come to this, but he was just desperate. He had no place to come home to, no one to greet him, he was all alone. You were his only one, and you were the one that got away.

Caught in his longing to be welcomed in one's arms again, he leans in, but his closed eyes flew open when your finger stops him in his tracks. He looks up at you with pitiful, waterfall eyes.

"No Edward. That was the past. We are not doing that again."

"Apologies..." He swallows thickly, running the cuff oh his sleeves under his eyes. "Thank you for letting me know that I crossed a line."

"Heeeeeeeeey there--"

"Edward, are you drunk?"

"Mmmmm, don't know whatchu mean babes~"

... Yep, he's drunk. Hell , a 3 AM call is enough of a giveaway for his intoxicated state, as even he won't be much of a dick to call you at these unholy hours. But, you geared up nonetheless. Can't have a vulnerable crook who's made enemies everywhere in the middle of the night.

"Do you have anyone with you?" You asked, sitting up from your bed.

"Yeah, Jonathan. But he's gone. I don't know where the fuck he is... And where the fuck I am..."

"Okay, Edward. Can you turn on your locations for me?" You asked, shrugging on your coat.

"Of course, doll, anything for you~" he slurs and you swore you heard something in the background, probably a gunshot. The more reasons to get to him as soon as possible.

Checking on his location, you find him in a secluded destination located between alleyways of the active spots of crime. Sighing, you risked your good night sleep and stepped on the gas to get to him. Lo and behold, there he was hugging his knees to his chest by the trash bin.

"You came!" He slurred, shooting up from his seating position and wrapped his arms around your neck.

He reeks of alcohol and he's had lots of them. But you didn't bother to ask, you just wanted to get him to your car and drive him back to your place to look after him. Before you can make any step, he then tries to lean forward, with his lips puckered. You held your palm up, encasing his whole face with it.

"No Eddie, you're drunk and we're not making the same mistake again."

"... Yeah, you're probably right..."

"Let's just get to the car, okay?"

"Okay..."

He cooperates to get to your car, trying his best not to completely rely on you. Once he's strapped to his seat, he dozes off at the duration of the drive, thinking how grateful he is for you.
