I think this would be part of ‘’My Childhood Nostalgia Draws Series’’ where I draw characters from the shows I watch when I was very little but it’s the ones that I’m not part of their fandoms and I’m happy to start this series with Bob the Builder. I grew up with this show along many others and their songs are great especially ‘’Big Fish, Little Fish, Cardboard box’’.

Can come off as very bossy which some of the others find bothersome

Only acts really strict because he hates to be a disappointment

Perfectionist to the core

If anything goes wrong she can get worked up over it for a while and needs breaks to calm down

But always down to have fun when there isn’t any work to be done or on break

They are kind though I swear they aren’t just a bossy meanie head lmao-

Learnt about different identities from their friends and has since been questioning theirs [friends help them with that ofc] all they know is that they ain't cis lmao-

Super protective of friends and will throw hands if anyone dares to do anything despite being short

Very encouraging and vocalises it (especially to Lofty lmao)

She picks up a lot of words/sayings from others

She prefers skirts, she likes to twirl in them :)

No matter what she's wearing she will rock out hardcore if there's an opportunity to do so

LOVES surprise parties; he always gets one for his birthday but is always clueless and gets overly excited about it every time-

Usually takes naps during the day because his busy at night researching different kinds of birds or writing out songs

Loves his friend bird and always uses him to find out any juicy details like the latest gossip around town lmao-

Doesn't like Spud because of the constant 'pranks' and apologises and so rarely goes to the farm unless absolutely necessary

Never really wears any short sleeved shirts or shorts, it’s all long sleeves and long pants-

Scoop and Lofty become official siblings when Bob and Wendy date/marry

Scoop and Muck are exes and do clash with one another but ofc are close friends

Scoop and Roley are dating (get into a silly squabble over who’s the taller one when they’re literally the same height lmao-)

Muck and Roley have a friendly rivalry and duel one another but it’s never really serious

Muck and Dizzy knew each other before being part of the crew (and thanks to Muck, Dizzy is part of it) and they’re not trusted alone together since it results in chaos they’re absolute besties

Dizzy and Roley geek out over music stuff in general like certain rockstars, buying the CDs of favourite band(s) and will attend gigs/concerts whenever possible

Dizzy and Lofty are in a Queerplatonic relationship (the only two in the crew who truly believe in Santa and that Bob helps him annually) (also she nicknames him “Softy” most of the time and soon he began calling her “Izzy”)

Lofty kind of struggles to keep up with Muck’s energetic persona but they are besties~

(Any unmentioned either just besties or I just need to think on a bit more hm-)

As mentioned they hold movie nights once or twice a week depending on everyone’s mood lmao-

Redesigns for Roley, Lofty, and Scoop!

Guys its nearly valentine's day so you know what that means!

Garlic white bean soup recipe

I told Rowan that I would type this up, so here I am doing it. This is technically a recipe from Budget Byte$, but modified so much that it's distant cousins with the original recipe.

Ingredients:

1 lb. bacon

2 onions

4 ribs of celery

4 carrots

12 cloves of garlic [if this sounds like too much garlic, no, it's not]

2-3 zucchinis (depending on how big they are)

7 16 oz. cans cannellini or great northern beans

4 cups of chicken broth [I use the roasted chicken Better than Bouillon]

1 tsp dried rosemary

1/2 tsp dried thyme

4 pinches crushed red pepper

freshly ground black pepper (I usually go for 20-30 grinds)

Kitchen gear you will need:

a big soup pot

a food processor or blender

for the sake of my sanity I am going to assume that you already have normal kitchen gear (knives, cooking spoon, measuring cups, etc.)

Instructions:

Chop bacon into bite-sized pieces and cook in a soup pot until crispy.

While the bacon cooks, dice the onions, slice the celery, and peel and slice the carrots into rounds. Mince the garlic (or use a garlic press, like I do).

Once the bacon is crispy, remove from pot (I scoop it onto a paper towel on top of a plate to soak up excess grease). Pour most of the bacon grease into a grease container (DON'T DUMP IT DOWN THE DRAIN); you should have a very, very thin layer of grease covering the whole bottom of the pot. If there's bacon residue remaining at the bottom of the pot, that's fine.

Sauté the carrots, onion, celery, and garlic in the pot until the onions are translucent. Any bacon residue stuck on the bottom of the pot should unstick at this point.

Chop the zucchini into half moons.

Drain and rinse 3 cans of beans. Put the remaining 4 cans of beans (including liquid) into a food processor or blender and puree.

Once onions are translucent, add beans (both whole and pureed), zucchini, chicken broth, rosemary, thyme, red pepper, and black pepper. Turn up heat and bring soup to a boil. Note: I recommend occasionally stirring or else the whole beans will sink to the bottom and burn.

Once soup is boiling, turn heat down and simmer for 15 minutes, continuing to stir occasionally.

After 15 minutes, stir in cooked bacon. You may also want to add salt if your broth is insufficiently salted (I don't have to add salt; obligatory plug for BTB).

Serve and enjoy! Makes ~8 servings? It usually feeds me about a week, so take that as you will.

This AU is a spinoff of my main human AU that takes inspiration from Anime and superhero shows that started off as a joke I made in the BTB discord server. I don't really have a proper name for this AU yet, but once I come up with one I'll update this post accordingly.

And here we have the main man himself, Scoop! (and it only took me like 37 years to design him) For Scoop, I honestly didn't know what power to give him. For a while, I played around with him having no powers yet still making a good leader (y'know, like Robin from Teen Titans 2003), but it felt kind of unfair that I gave all the others cool powers and he didn't get any. I then got the idea to still give him a power, but for it to be used in conjunction with melee weapons, and so Scoop gained super speed. I could lie and say I was inspired by that race Scoop beat Travis in, or I can tell the truth which is that this idea was also inspired by an episode of the reboot (which was basically a rip-off of a TTTE episode).

For his design, I didn't really have much to work with in my mind other than "black, yellow and grey". It took a bit of doodling to figure it out, but eventually I settled on kind of a casual look for him. And then there's the caution tape. I mean, its a Scoop design, of course I went mad with the caution tape! He'd also probably use it in battle to trap enemies or fix things. His other weapons consist of other modded construction tools.

this requires a slow-cooker of some sort unfortunately

ingredients:

potatoes, preferably small ones

carrots

pearl/mini onions

cheap raw meat (poultry can be ripped up after cooking with a fork and a knife)

one jar o' gravy

Better Than Bouillon (expensive but also fucking worth it and a little goes a long way)

instructions:

chop the potatoes into sizes that you can fit in your mouth comfortably; I cut small yellow potatoes into fourths, but if you need it smaller, try cutting the fourths in half again.

if you're using big carrots, cut them small enough to fit in your mouth; if you can get baby-cut carrots, just dump 'em in straight.

dump potatoes, carrots, meat, and some onions in the slow-cooker. set it to low for 6 hours.

pour in gravy. scoop a tablespoon or so of BTB into the empty jar, then fill 1/3 to 1/2 with water and stir vigorously, breaking up the BTB as you do. you could also just screw the lid back on and shake the jar.

pour the water/BTB into the slow-cooker. cover and walk away.

FEAST.
