this is an odd headcanon, but i can totally see Purple being the kind of guy to have a Specific Sauce that he puts on all his food (or having had one in the past). Something like ranch, hot sauce, mustard, etc, that he just puts on literally anything.
Alternatively, he has foods that he absolutely hates and refuses to eat, not because they taste or feel bad or anything, but because he had one (1) bad experience with it once and now won't touch it
absolutely. although the first headcannon makes him sound like a fiend. I'm here for it though.
(putting ranch on pizza.... oh god...)

We have beef??
News to me
I love dawning of the hour /gen I need to catch up tho!
whats up with the beef between you and blood is thicker than ooze??
I...didn't think we had beef?
I like bto and I know they were reading doth at least at the beginning. I don't think we clashed? I haven't been super active with them because we are writing sort of similar stories and I don't want to influence their vibes and impose my own too much.
@risebto, did we have beef that I'm forgetting about?! I feel bad but I legitimately can't remember anything? If I was a jerk to you I'll totally apologize, but I don't know what this could be referring to.
I generally try to be pretty low-drama here. I don't think there's really anyone I have beef with, except bean. And the French.

Today's compilation:
Baby Boomer Classics: Rockin' Seventies 1990 Hard Rock / Blues-Rock / Rock & Roll / Progressive Rock / Glam Rock
Feel like I just listened to a Guardians of the Galaxy soundtrack with this one 😂. Good selection and variety of early-to-mid 70s stuff that's pretty perfect for a road trip when you're in one of those easygoing classic rock kinda moods. Almost like you've tuned in to the most generic classic rock station in the US without having to be interrupted by commercials, traffic reports, and station IDs 😎. Basically tailgate or barbecue music for white people who lived through 'Nam.
Most interesting story behind any of these tunes is probably the one for Bachman-Turner Overdrive's "You Ain't Seen Nothin' Yet," which at this point feels like a song that's just going to continue to be used indefinitely in order to keep selling outdoorsy brands of jeans to touch-of-grey guys who go fishing with their golden labs. But do you have any idea how dangerously close we actually came to never hearing this thing?! "YASNY" was originally intended to be recorded in a single take as a joke for lead-singer-and-guitarist Randy Bachman's brother, Gary, and it also served as a 'work track' for the band in order for them to get their setups sounding right too. It wasn't supposed to ever be made public, but when their guy at Mercury Records proved unenthused with the output for the band's third album, Not Fragile, it was then suggested as a possible option, and immediately became the lead single as a result, and now it's fondly remembered as one of classic rock's most quintessential hits. So, if you think about all of this in a somewhat paradoxical kind of way, by recording an album that was believed to be lackluster, we actually ended up getting one of the two songs that went on to define BTO's entire career; and had they recorded something only slightly better at first, the only song that most of us probably would've ever ended up remembering them by instead would've been the far cheesier "Takin' Care of Business." So, go figure, huh?
And another song that deserves some space here is David Essex's extremely quiet and glammy classic, "Rock On," which became a #5 hit on the Billboard Hot 100 in the winter of 1974. This is a tune in which Essex posits that rock & roll has reached a crossroads. He cycles through the genre's history by making reference to some of its big early hits, like Eddie Cochran's "Summertime Blues" and Carl Perkins' "Blue Suede Shoes," but then he asks the question, "and where do we go from here?" And that would appear to be answered by this very song in and of itself, which daringly decides to not even incorporate any guitar, suggesting that maybe a next possible phase for rock could be one that actually strips it of its own signature instrument? 🤷‍♂️ Pretty cunning and clever, I think. Guy sounds a little like Anthony Kiedis too, and I wonder if that's pure coincidence or if Kiedis actually drew any inspiration from him 🤔.
Exemplary piece of power pop brilliance in The Raspberries' "Go All the Way," UK band The Hollies doing their own swamp rock impersonation of Credence Clearwater Revival in "Long Cool Woman in a Black Dress," and the warm and lovely Rhodes piano-filled "Ride Captain Ride" by Blues Image too. Sweet crop of 70s tunes, overall, even if a lot of it's been way overplayed at this point. Pretty fundamental for those who wanna get to know some big rock hits from the front half of this decade.
Highlights:
The Raspberries - "Go All the Way" Argent - "Hold Your Head Up" Golden Earring - "Radar Love" The Hollies - 'Long Cool Woman in a Black Dress" Elton John - "Crocodile Rock" Eric Clapton - "I Shot the Sheriff" Foghat - "Slow Ride" Blues Image - "Ride Captain Ride" Bachman-Turner Overdrive - "You Ain't Seen Nothin' Yet" David Essex - "Rock On"

So I saw someone else just ask if anyone will ever see the silly side of purple and I was wondering if you had any personal headcanons for purple in this fic that you have yet to share? Totes fine if not I’m just really curious (I love BTO sm 😭🫶)
YES okay so this is off the top of my head so i can’t remember if they’ve been mentioned before or not but i just wanna share
Purple was a kid who was really invested in space. he wanted to be an astronaut, had the little star protection light in his room, etc. part of this fascination is definitely from the fact that he never had the ability to see the sky as a kid, since he was underground. (this reminds me of a scene that i had an idea for… but idk if i’ll add it!)
Purple did actually attend a Yokai public school when he was younger. he does have documentation, and he is a legal citizen (of the Hidden City). draxum pulled him out of school after bullying due to his scars (thought mostly it was because the Council of Heads was getting on his ass and he didn’t want to put Purple at risk of being targeted.) He had private tutors and at least some formal education. He a smart boy!
Purple has a tendency to over apologize. I feel awkward adding this in dialogue because (even though you cannot talk to me without hearing me say “i’m sorry” at least 15 times) i think it breaks the flow and would be a little annoying to read.
Dude gets so excited when he knows the answer to a question. someone will be like “ugh why does x have to be this way” and he’ll push up his glasses and say “WELL ACTUALLY”. not because he’s mean or anything, but because he genuinely likes to divulge information.
Purple will burn the ends of his mask off. Yes, he knows there are scissors. No, he doesn’t need them. also he’s an edgy 14 year old so he absolutely will draw a slit in his drawn on eyebrows.
Purple likes to fuck with Leo. I said this in the Discord but I absolutely think Leo would say some mundane saying like, “I’m so hungry i could eat a horse!” and purple would whip around in horror and respond, “You would WHAT? Do you KNOW how offensive that is to horse yōkai?!”
i don’t remember the context for this but i think it’s still funny:
"I could use my bombs."
"WHY DO YOU HAVE BOMBS?!"
"Tsk. Youve clearly never blown anything up before."
"AND WHY WOULD I WANT TO??"
purple has moments of over/under stimulation where he will just bang his hands on a table. i think this would be so funny to hear in the middle of the night and leo just walks in and is like “jesus what are you doing??”
purple is very sensitive to sound. he relies on sound to ground him, to keep him calm, but it can also be his worst nightmare.
purple watched black butler. idk when or why but he did. oh and undertale.
he grew up in Game Theory. i don’t care if he doesn’t like humans, it’s entertaining and he’s a fucking nerd.

“A hat to cover your hair and a different outfit yes,” he agreed. “Works for me and Luna! We could even make it a pride hat so you’ll blend in!”
Arctus seems rather happy as he speaks, happy that Noct is planning on having a good time.
“Are you going with anybody else?” He asked, “since I can’t join w til later in the day.”

She had comeback after her shower, and we continued althe conversation for some more as we waited for the guard to tell us are time was over. As I sat there, I had told her, "You should try Shrooms If you're trying bto get high. A lot better than meth. It'll make you look older. You're only 21, like you ain't gotta do meth"
"Well, I'm trying to stop. I've heard of shrooms."
". If you wanted to try. Like I know it hard with meth and shit but if you're looking for a clean high. They're kind of like acid"
I sat there wondering, knowing just show many people were locked in jail for judge charges surrounding meth. How it was bougy sold and disturbed mostly
Being disturbed to disrupt the hood, the same war if drugs still beingg perpetuated. How even she, was affected. What sure the life she wanted to escape from, I could give the rhetoric by that weed was enough. In all honesty bwas the the justice for the many who had been affected by the War on Drugs. How many were still reaping the benefits. The ones who have fed them toghe streets, risking their lives to chase a high. What of the justice, the drug Psychosis brought one by the lack of care from the colonized nation. Her life wwas important was it not that she had the resources to overcome her addict. What about when she was to be released back into an environment that was unstable, to be in a cycle of abuse, violence, and running from the law. The sytem unbelievably corrupt at every turn. But was it so unbelievable? Were wasthe justice for her family her parents who came to America refugees, immigrants, whatever the cases may be forced to acclimate to society that told them they were to follow the rules of white supermarcy at any cost otherwise their life would be without regard, toss to the side. Did they not come here for safety, refuge at one point or another from an even more.
The guard had made final shower call and forced us back into our cells for the evening as I clambered up to my bunk, Morriah had followed later behind. She had gotten her hair done, braided now in the cell. Before it was unkept and wild her putting it up in a bun since she couldn't do her hair herself.
"How do you like it?"
I had been standing at th door in the window, slightly on edge from our conversation it had struck me, I had forced myself to swallow some irration.
"I honestly don't have my glasses.i can only see like four inches in front of my face. "
"Oh my god, so you haven't seen my face this whole time"
Nope."
"why'd you break up"
She hard turn he back towards me going towards her cot "If I'm being too intrusive you don't have to answer"
"I rather not, if that's okay with you."
That night I went to bed, thoughts of the drug empire that was right under my nose. How so many affected by it. What of the people with indigenous medications. The all those, but what of a society that still let our voices go unheard month, year decade, millennium without justice.
Even still as I sat there, knowing that it didn't matter the compud drug "psychos" was something that could be so easily resolved. Their memories either gone, to truantic to go back to, or the emtinal denial nothing would resolve something so momumtal. Something so small to the naked eye but the thoughts plagued me as I awaited my trial

Responding to the second portion of the anon ask I answered part of on February 24, 2022:
“Are you still doing the character breakdowns? Part of me wants to ask you to do character breakdowns of Elli between 64 and Mineral Town, but I feel like there's more to be said about Harris, one of my faves in 64 who was then given pretty short shift in BTO/FOMT.”
Thank you for your patience!  I now present the Elli portion of this ask! ^-^
Click here for my thoughts on Harris!
Character Breakdown Ask Game - Still Accepting! ;)
How I feel about this character:
As I’ve mentioned before, I played More Friends of Mineral Town before I played HM64.  In my opinion, Elli is one of the characters that changed most personality-wise between both games.  It still blows my mind that Back to Nature - later basically ported to GBA as Friends of Mineral Town - was originally intended to be a port of HM64, but the staff just went ham with it, shuffled the cast around and made a completely different game with the same characters.
I have differing feelings about the different versions of Elli.  I honestly really prefer HM64 Elli.  She works in a bakery with Jeff and Ellen, her grandmother, resides there with them.  She fishes as a hobby, and she even says that her father was a well-known fisherman.
While her sprite doesn’t really show it, there is an event where she talks about her struggle with her body image, feeling insecure that she is overweight.  She even laments that she’s not thin like Popuri.  As an overweight woman myself, I could relate.  I enjoy cooking and eating, and that obviously has contributed to my weight.  I feel like working at a bakery would make it really difficult to maintain a low weight, especially if you’re fond of sweets.  Jeff reassures her that she’s valid in her body, even going so far as to say that he prefers larger women.  I really appreciated that he didn’t pressure her to feel like she needed to lose weight to please anyone else.
Elli also goes through the loss of her grandmother.  The player can trigger an event where we witness Ellen not moving anymore outside and Elli takes the loss really hard.  Her dialogue changes, her portraits change as she struggles to adjust to a life without her beloved grandmother.  It’s really heartbreaking, and as morbid as it sounds, I really miss that they removed a lot of these kinds of darker elements in the newer games.  It was easier to relate to her.  I’ve lost family members, and it’s a hard process.  You don’t heal overnight.  Bringing a little bit of reality to the games like this really makes for a memorable game that leaves an impression on the player.
In the Mineral Town games, Ellen is spared, and we still have the relationship with Elli being Ellen’s granddaughter.  However, the family dynamic has changed.  Stu is now Elli’s little brother, and Elli now works as a nurse in the clinic, living in the upstairs quarters.  She stops by to check in on her brother and Grandmother.  This dynamic especially feels different because there’s not a second adult to help take care of Ellen as Jeff did in HM64.  Elli feels much more career-focused, but also struggling to maintain that balance between work and family.  She cares a lot about Stu, but she spends a bit of time scolding him and treating him more like a son than a brother.  This is understandable with the large age gap.  Since Stu is so young, we know that Elli and Stu lost their parents probably less than five years ago.  Elli is playing the role of caretaker here. All the while, she is attempting to catch the attention of Doctor, who she works with daily.
All the people I ship romantically with this character
I don’t have a ton of romantic ships for Elli, as I haven’t really thought about her that much.
Elli x Karen - In my Karen ask, I mentioned that Elli seems to help keep Karen grounded in HM64.  They seem like they’d be good for each other, and they genuinely care about one another.
Elli x Cliff - In my Cliff ask, I mentioned that FoMT Elli and Cliff could spend time together taking care of Stu at the church and Cliff could slowly open up to her.  Cue the winter event, and we have a tropey romance where the nurse tends to her crush.  I still think they’d work well as friends, too.
FoMT Elli x Mary - I feel like these two would be a great example of similar interests but different personalities.  There’d be some fun give and take, and honestly, I think they’d be really sweet together.
My non-romantic OTP for this character
Mineral Town: Elli/Doctor - I can see them as friends who have each other’s backs, but I’ll elaborate more on how I feel about them as a romantic couple in a bit.
Elli/Carter/May/Barley - I feel like this group would get along well, as they all would spend time together taking care of the kids.  I feel like Carter would be really sympathetic to Elli’s stresses and burdens.
Elli/Mary - Cute lovers, cute friends.  I headcanon that Elli checks out cheesy romance novels, much to Mary’s dismay.  I also can see her hating the bugs that Mary likes and she thinks the books Mary recommends are boring.  I love seeing them as opposites that attract, but they also would have a love for herbal tea, plants, and I could see them chilling together having a good time.
Elli/Cliff - I often headcanon Cliff taking care of the kids at the church when Carter is busy, and I can see Elli and Cliff becoming friends as she comes to pick up her brother each day.
HM64:
Elli/Jeff - Again, I prefer these two as friends, and I’ll elaborate further on.
Elli/Popuri - I feel like Elli admires a lot of things that Popuri does.  I can see them sharing flowers and cake together.
Elli/Karen - As I mentioned in my Karen ask, I really like the different versions of these characters and how they play off of one another.
My unpopular opinion about this character
I really don’t care much for Elli x Doctor.  I feel like they both want very different things out of their relationship at first.  Seeing Elli fawn over Trent and having him just be completely oblivious to her feelings should be a signal to Elli that he’s just not looking for love right now.  I know it’s a trope, and I know it’s a popular one.  I did watch their heart events and they do warm up to each other, but I think I might’ve been distracted a little bit by Elli in HM for Girl.  She can be a little snarky if you take the Doctor on a date to the Goddess Festival, (which, honestly, is a whole mood where she asks Claire if she should dye her hair blonde to impress Doctor) and I feel like she only joins the swimming festival to try to impress Trent because it’s “healthy”.  I dunno.  But honestly, I find the sexist comments both her and Trent make really off-putting.  I know the game was made in another time and they’re not the only characters to say rude things, but I was just turned off by both of them.
Tumblr media
I get why people like them together in FoMT, and honestly, Trent’s confession scene in that game is really cute.  I just feel like more of their events should have been emotionally charged.  I get that they were trying to establish that Trent’s been helping with Ellen, but that second heart event didn’t feel romantic at all.  They literally both check in on Ellen and leave.  And that’s it.  It could’ve worked as a random event.
I have another unpopular opinion people might not be happy about, and it’s likely because I never stopped by the clinic much, but I just don’t really have strong feelings for Mineral Town Elli in general.  I mean, she’s alright, but I find her a little bland.  I get that they were going for a character that was a caretaker, but it left her with little information about herself.  I feel like she was just generically “pleasant”.  I’m aware I didn’t give her a fair chance, and as I’m replaying the remake, I’m making sure to stop by and give her gifts.  Honestly, though, I’m not that impressed with her dialogue.  I’m not sure when it changes.  If someone knows where her dialogue variations are, please let me know, because I have her musical notes really high, but she hasn’t really said anything new???
Regarding HM64 Elli, I actually think that Elli x Jeff has the potential to be cute.  The way some things are written, though, make me really uncomfortable.  They were done dirty, and I feel like a revamping of their backstory could’ve made them one of the cutest couples in the game.
One thing I wish would happen / had happened with this character in canon.
For the Mineral Town incarnation, I wish that Elli’s dynamics with Doctor were a little more balanced.  I get that he’s preoccupied with work, but so is she.  The one-sided pining stage in their events feels a little too long, and that’s coming from me - a huge fan of slow-burns!
I wish that Elli had interests outside of work and taking care of her brother.  Heck, even on her off days, she’s running errands for Trent.  This leaves us with little to work with in terms of what she likes to do.  And I feel like that’s where HM64 Elli really shines - her love for fishing and the outdoors is an unexpected contrast to a cutesy baker.  I would’ve loved a reference to her being really talented at baking cakes, and having her show up during Anna’s cooking lessons would’ve been a really good tie-in.
I also really wish that Elli left the clinic more often.  The reason why I kept forgetting she existed was because she was locked away all day.
For HM64 Elli, I wish that her backstory with Jeff was overhauled.  Their marriage leaves me a little uncomfortable.  The way Jeff talks about her, it sounds like he helped raise her (referring to her as “Little Elli”) and him promising her parents that he’d take care of her then marrying her?… yeah… I don’t like it.  It could’ve been cute if Elli had an interest in baking that Ellen helped foster, and she looked for employment for Jeff on her own.  Them sharing recipes and baking methods could be really cute.
Lastly, I am BEGGING for larger marriage candidates.  I want overweight marriage candidates that look HUMAN, that don’t base their personalities on food or their weight.  I would have loved it if they made Elli’s sprite a little bigger. Unless you catch that scene in HM64, you never would know she’s supposed to be overweight - I don’t even feel like she’s noticeably bigger than the other girls in the concept art, which is really a shame.
As I’ve spent more time writing for these characters in the series, I’ve grown fond of them.  I really enjoyed writing the bits of Elli that I have so far, and I am beginning to really ponder and to grow more of an appreciation of her character as I go along.  Thank you so much for the ask, and I’d love to hear your opinions on the characters as well!

calanthe’s witcher 3 plotline: (to be continued as i play the games)
includes possible romance with geralt. y’all already know i ship it anyway.
velen:
- geralt meets calanthe in velen, after some villagers mistakingly pointed him towards her when he asked for an ashen-haired woman. he meets her after baron, but before keira. they talk, he learns of what happened to her while he thought she was dead and she learns that ciri is alive, but in danger.
- he tells calanthe of a witch ciri quarreled with, calanthe agrees to help him
- together, they meet up with keira, who tells them about the mysterious elf
- they agree to help keira, and without her head to the old elven ruins
- they fight with the wild hunt there, geralt learns of calanthe’s elder blood, that she learned how to use it and that it is as potent as ciri’s and the wild hunt might want her, too
- they find avallac’h’s lab, calanthe recognises lara dorren as her ancestor and finds the altar he built for her quite disturbing
- after they are done, calanthe leaves geralt to his own devices to continue with keira’s questline and other quests in velen, with geralt’s promise that he will contact her as soon as he learns something (optional). after that, she can be found in a tavern in velen.
novigrad:
- if geralt decides to go to calanthe after finishing velen plotline, she agrees to go with him to novigrad, another place where ciri was seen (though she makes it clear it’s the opposite way of where she was originally headed). she accompanies him to rosemary and thyme. that is where she can be found most of the time, accompanied by zoltan who, despite calanthe’s protest, promised geralt to have an eye on her. she decides to stay incognito in the city.
- calanthe’s input during the novigrad plotline is small. she can have an impact on the way priscilla’s play is shown, and listening to her advice about how duny’s and pavetta’s story was not one of true love, we get the best outcome from the crowd while still helping find dudu.
- calanthe can be talked to at any point of the plot in rosemary and thyme, she gives her insight on the things geralt learned about ciri. in this time, she deveops a friendship with zoltan, who teaches her how to play gwent. (eventually, a unique card can be won from her)
- after geralt helps triss saving the sorcerers of novigrad, he can once again, optionally, tell calanthe what he learned about ciri and say he is going to skellige. if he offers her to come along, she reluctantly agrees.
skellige:
this is the part of the plot where calanthe plays the biggest role, if geralt decides to bring her along.
- calanthe and geralt together meet yennefer at bran’s funeral. calanthe explains that she is saddened by his death, seeing as he was her brother-in-law. during the funeral, mousesack notices her in the crowd and recognises her immediately. so does crach, who to greet her kneels before her and adresses her as modron. the funeral feast for bran’s death is also a reason to celebrate the lioness’ return.
- after the funeral, calanthe can be talked to and geralt can ask her about her exact connections with crach and mousesack, if the player isn’t familiar with the books. she explains how crach is her late husband’s nephew, how skellige and cintra were once in a close friendship and how mousesack was her advisor. this is the first time she mentions her guilt over surviving the fall of cintra.
- for the feast, geralt can choose to wear black, as instructed by yennefer, not change his clothes, or wear something with a green accent.
- during the feast calanthe is met with cerys, who reveals to her her plans to become queen, which calanthe heavily supports. yennefer reveals to them her plans of stealing the mask of ourobors from mousesack. calanthe voices her displeasure with this plan. geralt can choose to go along with yennefer, at which point the plot goes as it does canonically, or agree with calanthe. if geralt chooses to side with calanthe, they speak to mousesack openly and the druid, unable to refuse her, allows them to take the mask, but they found yennefer had already stolen it on her own.
- whether geralt chose to help yennefer or go along with calanthe, the quest brings him to the place of the anomaly in the forest. yennefer is already there, arguing with mousesack. as calanthe and geralt speak with the druid, yennefer sneaks away and uses the mask. once trhe mask is activated, calanthe agrees that there is no other choice but to proceed with it, but she is clearly annoyed with the sorceress and her methods.
- after searching the anomaly, calanthe goes along with yennefer and geralt to the larvik village, where the wild hunt was seen. calanthe opposes the use of the garden’s power to bring back skjall and speak to him and instead offers herself as the source yennefer can take from. if geralt agrees, calanthe is weakened but the garden is saved. if he denies, the garden dies out like in canon.
- the last wish quest takes place here. geralt goes along with yennefer to help her break the last wish. if he tells her he doesn’t want to be with her anymore, her romance path is closed and calanthe’s romance path opens.
- as they find out about uma, geralt goes to retrieve him from velen, and calanthe goes along with yennefer to kaer morhen to help undo the curse.
SIDE NOTE:
- in the hjalmar vs cerys storyline calanthe stands with cerys. she sees through birna with whom she was nver friendly and knows right away that the bears could not have been an craite’s fault.
kaer morhen:
- calanthe is always in kaer morhen! even if the player chose to not bring her along to novigrad and/or skellige. she voices her frustration over feeling useless. everyone is given a task to complete, except for her. she tries to help with uma, but has no knowledge nor abilities to help break the curse. she is worried that it might be ciri, and as uma is being put through the trial of grasses, she walks out, disturbed and disgusted, unable to watch.
- after uma is turned back into avallac’h and the plan of the battle of kaer morhen is born, calanthe offers to go with geralt to the isle of mists, but he refuses, promising to bring ciri to her unharmed.
battle of kaer morhen:
- as ciri is brought back, calanthe greets her with a hug and a wholesome reunion ensues. if geralt refused to continue romance with yennefer, spoke to calanthe many times and took her along through the game, he can receive a kiss from her as a thank you. they speak about their past, but are interruped by triss. the kiss is unavailable if the player recruited help from and/or spoke to emhyr.
- the plans are made according to the game, but the sorceresses act suspicious. they say they have a plan of their own, a circle drawn in the main courtyard of the fortress where they tell everyone to meet rif things get dire.
- the battle of kaer morhen goes as in canon, until the party is forced to back all the way bto the main courtyard. once everyone makes it to the circle, triss, yennefer and (optionally) keira create a barrier. ciri is the one to voice that her grandmother isn’t there.
- a cutscene starts. calanthe stands in the middle of the courtyard, outside the barrier, despite ciri yelling for her to come. the warriors of the wild hunt approach her and surround her and as they reach for her, she explodes in an elder blood scream. everyone is blinded by it, but unlike ciri, whose cry is just a nova of force that pulls everything towards it, calanthe’s scream is fire that burns the forest around the fortress and even starts to melt the stones it is made of. imlerith, ereding and caranthir make it out through a portal in the last second, but a big portion of their forces is decimated. finally, avallac’h uses magic to stop calanthe’s outburst. if the player did recruit keira, nobody gets hurt. if keira wasn’t recruited, triss dies, having used too much power to hold the barrier against calanthe’s elder blood and save everyone from its impact.
uniting the lodge:
- after the battle, ciri is found sitting by calanthe as she is unconscious. avallac’h promises that she is not dead, but will require a lot of rest, and that he will keep her stable. yennefer reveals to geralt his plan of using calanthe as a weapon against the wild hunt. geralt can answer with anger or understanding. if he answers with anger, so does ciri, saying that her grandmother is not a weapon and she almost lost her again. if geralt agrees with yennefer that the plan was good, ciri gets upset with him as well and storms off.
- the sorceresses (or just yennefer) go to unite the lodge to help fight the wild hunt, while avallac’h takes care of calanthe. they are meant to meet in novigrad, but ciri wakes geralt up early in the morning to go to sabbath. fights against the crones and imlerith happen.
- after the boss fight, geralt and ciri together go to novigrad and in the chameleon find avallac’h and calanthe who, still weakened, scolds them for going alone. optionally, also triss. if triss survived the battle of kaer morhen, her plotline doesn’t change. if she didn’t, keira takes hr place. if keira did nbot survive, geralt has to first help yennefer find margarita and only then will be able to help philippa.
- after geralt solves all the quests, helping philippa, margarita, avallac’h and ciri, a quest from calanthe is available. when geralt enters her room, he sees that she is already up and dressed. he can voice his concern over her, if she is well enough to walk, but she laughs it off.
she confesses to him that she knows one more person who could help them fight the wild hunt. it was the sorceress who saved her from the burning cintra. to find her, they have to go to garramone, deep in old temeria, now within the bounds of the empire. on their way there, they get to talk.
depending on the player’s choices, this is the point at which geralt can confess his love to calanthe, but only if he rejcted the romance with yennefer during the last wish quest. if he does it, they kiss and carry on their journey.
the woman calanthe has been speaking about turns out to be adalia the seer, calanthe’s mother. depending on player’s choices, adalia may join them, but it is clear that her intentions ar not pure and that she will want something in return.
after the encounter with adalia, if the player chose to not recruit her help AND chose to go along with the romance with calanthe, a romance cutscene starts, with them making love in the middle of the forest, by the fire.
battle of kaer trolde:
- before the battle, calanthe is the one to accompany geralt and ciri to go to avallac’h’s laboratory. she immediately recognises the family tree and if the player decides to let ciri destroy the laboratory, she is very onboard with it. after that, she lets ciri and geralt go to make a grave for skjall, if that is the player’s choice, while herself returning to the port
- calanthe does participate in the battle of kaer trolde. she heavily dislikes nilfgaard’s involvement and swears that after ciri is safe, she will personally get nilfgaardians out of cintra and skellige.  she fights alongside hjalmar and crach and when crach dies, she cries and mourns his death, causing eredin to almost get to her before the boss battle starts with geralt saving her in the last second
- after geralt saves calanthe from eredin, they learn of avallac’h’s betrayal and the gate to the casm to the other worlds open. calanthe is the one who escorts geralt to the top of the mountain and makes the hole in avallac’h’s barrier. sadly, she cannot open it for long enough to accompany him.
endings:
ciri is witcher ending
if ciri survives but doesn’t choose to become an empress, if geralt chose to romance calanthe, they live together quietly in kaer morhen, taking in children, orphans and those that were abandoned, but not to mutate them. rather to teach them how to survive in the world on their own. iif geralt did not romance calanthe, she lets her presence known to the world, gathers around herself a sizeable army of people ready to follow the lioness and pushes nilfgaard back past yaruga.
ciri is empress ending
if ciri survives and becomes an empress (by killing emhyr, nto working for him) calanthe becomes her advisor and works with her from the shadow to make the new cintra as bright as the old one was
ciri is dead ending
if ciri dies, the player gets a cutscene where geralt comes down the mountain and tells calanthe what happens. she loses control, her power wipes out all the nilfgaardian ships and the castle in which the gate has opened, sealing it shut forever and burying avallac’h under the rubble. calanthe uses so much power that she dies in the process.
DLC AND OTHER SIDE QUESTS COMING AS I FINISH PLAYING THE GAME.
