Suddenly you notice something in the corner of your eyes. You turn to take a better look; it's a person, with some drawing equipment out, just... watching you? They smile, turning their drawing pad and despite the distance you recognise immediately a drawing of yourself. You're not sure why that made you feel so unsettled, but next time you go for a walk you decide to go to a park a bit further away. You still feel watched"

And here's Iris! They are a bit of an underground artist, known only in certain circles and in hushed tones. If you've met her it's hard to forget; their presence, while rarely pleasant, is quite... Persistent. She likes to choose her "muses" from crowds, parks or cafes - often, you won't find out you've been chosen until you find in your mail a portrait of yourself and a note with some weirdly personal information you're pretty sure you've never told anyone. After that, the muse will start finding those drawings everywhere; in their bag, their house, even at the workplace. The drawings become progressively more unsettling, showing you while you sleep or eat or even shower. They will start feeling like nowhere is safe anymore, any and every second they breathe is being observed and recreated on paper. It's also quite difficult escaping Iris' attention; it's faster and safer to just... Wait it out, until they pass to a new muse.

Anyway! When they aren't terrorising someone you can probably find them at the Hermit Caffé, bothering Meme

Their interactions are quite confusing, it's difficult to say if they are fighting or flirting very aggressively, and getting a straight answer out of either is a lost cause on any topic, and especially this one. Meme is notorious for changing their answer every time you ask them something, and Iris has the propensity to go off on vaguely off-topic and convoluted rants while talking to her.

yall are about to piss me off by not having any PASSING basic knowledge of the way the u.s. military manipulates its recruits into joining by typing up one of your uninformed, unresearched, unempathetic, individualistic, unbelievably annoying posts about how 100% of the people in the military ended up there because they just Love America So Damn Much! they're extremely mature and informed at time of recruitment, they can totally leave anytime they want, they totally had tons of other avenues in life they could've taken, there was no rush at all to get income as fast as possible, and everyone in the military also totally is part of the combat divisions and personally enjoys being IN the military very much, big believers of violence. everyone in the military is shooting guns all day, that's how that works. they LOVE BLOODSHED. also I love the "amewicans haha" twang to this type of shit because you're actually TOTALLY stealing our Thing, which is turning systemic issues into Individual Issues. Instead of talking about the powers that be, it's so Personal Choice up in here. It's, "well you shouldn't have done it then. I totally wouldn't because I know better." you don't wanna talk about the military industrial complex as a whole, and you don't want to talk about recruiters, you just want to pin the blame on Specific Individual People one-by-one, as if they're responsible for the system that they're being ground up in. someone was in the military? bad person, no matter what. it's easier to believe that, I guess, than to acknowledge that Normal People (with high school educations) are manipulated and incentivized into joining a system that is Bad. at like age 18. but yeah no that 18 year old should have just been smarter lol haha anyway here are some screenshots for no particular reason

side note this reply of someone going "umm just get loans and go into a high paying field it's easy XD" as a direct response to someone trying to explain how most americans joining the military are being funneled in that direction out of a need for money.

and another person who Decided that americans join the military just CLENCHING their teeth thinking of other people, and not thinking completely selfishly about their own selves and their own income/housing/healthcare.

Day 9 - Episode Nine: Millions Knives

Continuing with gifsets featuring my favourite tracks from the tristamp OST. (I ended up picking pretty much all the tracks for this episode lol)

Lol like the above says...yeah I think I included all the tracks this episode. They were all just so good! (The first three are on my playlist, and Geodome is an extra addition because I want to link thoughts about it).

Duet - nothing else to say here other than another beautiful Knives-centric piano song. But can I just say that I love how Vash comes and nudges Nai over in this gif? It's so damn cute.

Last Run - I like the progression of this track. It really does sound like it's gearing up for some type of "run", especially when that...electronic bit?? (I honestly have no idea what to call it) kicks in at around 1:25. Makes me think of something revving up lol. And then we get to hear compatriots again and the transition to Knives' theme.

Drain Gate - More of that....electronic bit! (Seriously if someone knows what I should be calling that please let me know. It gives me cyber-esque vibes) And more Knives' theme. It's hard to not include everything that includes his leitmotif - it's just so freaking good.

Geodome - For this I want to point to this post originally from @revenantghost who got me thinking about this track by sharing their thoughts :)

"Are you sure I'm [[110% guaranteed]]ready, Pops?" Spamton Jr asked her dad as he stood on a stool trying to fix her blazer, it wasn't the easiest task. "Kid, you'll be great out there, the worlds just full of [[Lightners]] ready to be [[Scammed? It's More Likely Than You'd Think]]!" Spamton Jr giggled a little at her dads strangeness yet still trusted him, she hoped to make him proud, no she will make him proud.

As Spamton Jr rode in the Cungadero she became more and more anxious, this was the first time she had gone to a proper school you see. And with her fathers reputation she had good reason to be nervous about how others would perceive her. Yet as he pulled up to the school hopped out and opened the door for her she swallowed down her worries and took a step over to the statue. It was of a young man with swoopy hair and a hoodie-suit, it was labelled "The Creator".

Now sitting in her classroom and being taught by Dr Gaster, she was clearly bored by still trying to listen. When suddenly a voice called out to her, "Hey, could I borrow a pen?" The voice asked and as she turned her head to a girl with distinctive orange hair she smiled handing over the pen. "Boring lecture huh? I'm not even sure he knows all his stuff." She smirked to the other girl making her cackle a little. "The name's Sara by the way, number one Psychic of the 21st century" Sara looked at her with a sh*t eating grin. "Spamton Jr"
